2021  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: October 23, 2022, 10:03:01 PM
I'm a little surprised what caused Tottenham to experience a decline in performance, losing 2-1 to Newcastle was really beyond prediction. I bet for them in this match but it's really unlucky. MU and Chelsea's points are getting closer to them, there is a possibility that their position will be shifted if they continue to lose.
Spurs are definitely not going to finish in the top four, sometimes i can't quite understand what Conte's footballing philosophies are, it is dated imo, and i think with the quality of players the club has provided him with, his team should be more daring, they shouldn't always be content with the opposition dictating the play, they should take the game to the opposition and try to kill them off.

Having said that, Conte really has to be careful going forward so he doesn't lose his job, the Spurs' hierarchy have invested in that team and they will expect results, and there is a good coach like Tuchel currently without a team, i am pretty sure some big teams that aren't doing too well will be looking his way and weighing up their options.
2022  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Censorship be the end of the Ethereum Network? on: October 23, 2022, 08:27:09 PM
So, does it mean that you believe we are just watching the beginning of the end for Decentralization and everything that Satoshi's main vision stood for? Do you think we are heading to complete control with no alternatives?
Well Satoshi's vision was for Bitcoin and not Altcoins, i'm afraid, that was what he stood for: Bitcoin being decentralized and the algorithm to bring coins into circulation being the proof of work mechanism, and it is still that way. Ethereum and quite a lot of other altcoin projects are rightly centralized and there is prolly no alternatives in the altcoin industry. But the Bitcoin network is still decentralized thus far, not that it isn't targeted by governments and regulatory bodies, but there is as yet no change in how Bitcoin operates/has operated, thus i'd not talk about the end of decentralization just yet because we haven't gotten to such end.
2023  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Nigeria (Naija) on: October 23, 2022, 05:56:48 PM
The main issues now has become election, how to we cope before the election, the present administration has always been lackluster in performing their duties but now it has even gotten worse.
Nobody go talk say them no know say Buhari/Osibanjo administration was a complete disaster, every Nigerian knows that, some of them go pretend like say them no know, maybe because them they benefit from this administration in one way or another, but the fact wey they there be say for this eight years, baba Buhari no try at all.

Having said that, despite everything wey they go on, the fact remains that the election preparations have to go on, that one na sure thing, to prepare for election no easy, so no matter wetin they happen the nation has to prepare for its election to make sure say e go on successfully. E be like say some candidates don suspend their rallies sha, so that them to fit help the flood victims, and it is good to see. No forget too say we want make this election come fast, so we go see if better government go enter power, make we begin enjoy the resources of our nation.
2024  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: October 23, 2022, 05:28:49 PM
Arsenal have lost points after a long time. Southampton didn't let Arsenal down at home. This result is of course an important win for city in the title race.
Yeah, very important for City because the gap has been cut to just two points now as there is absolutely no daylight at the top of the table, i'm pretty sure every City fan watched/followed that game till the very end, and the result was good, at least from our own perspective, whilst the season is still a long one and every team will prolly still have their own fair share of struggles, it is imperative for City that they do not drift too far away from the top of the table if they want to retain their crown, at least until they top it, which is prolly inevitable by their standards.

Having said that, i'm pretty sure Mikel Arteta will be fuming with his players, in footbal one goal is never safe and enough, and they found out the hard way, well they are still top of the table nonetheless, and they have to show true character to remain there, or else it will just be a matter of time before the boys from Etihad take their position.
2025  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Bull Market, Is it going to come soon or Will People have to Wait More.. on: October 22, 2022, 11:27:49 PM
Well people will have to wait more/longer for a bull market, and definitely they shouldn't get fazed or tired because if they prolly had done their research, they'd know Bitcoin is a long term/sustainable coin/project, thus speculators have no other option but to be patient. Having said that, 2023 is still a couple of months away and we don't know what the condition of the market could be then, whether we'll see a gradual appreciation in price, or if we'll still remain firmly bearish, but one thing is certain, and it is that 2023 draws us ever closer to another bull run period, and the possibility of a new ATH.
2026  Economy / Economics / Re: Running a successful business in most developing countries on: October 22, 2022, 10:04:53 PM
Opportunities to do business and success in developing countries are certainly greater because business competition is not too tight, especially cheap labor wages so that production costs can be cheaper, this is what makes many rulers from developed countries who choose to business in developing countries.
Well it actually depends on the business and how the owners run it, quite a lot of citizens of developing and underdeveloped countries are closing their businesses and packing up because of complete failure to maintain a steady profit in relation to their capital that was put into it (that wouldn't be happening if they are finding success easy to come by).

What influences production cost imo is mainly inflation and it is currently a serious menace today, especially in developing countries, with some of them already in hyperinflation/recession, thus it is kinda difficult to keep up with production cost and still make profit which is undoubtedly the goal of every business. Having said that, i for one haven't noticed the influx of 'rulers' from developed countries into developing ones to run their businesses, except i myself is missing something.
2027  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: October 21, 2022, 12:57:47 PM
Ronaldo isn't expected to play against Chelsea. He is really an unwanted player for Erik ten Hag right now seemingly. Ronaldo must also be fed up with these choices and he would like to leave the team as soon as possible without doubt. We will see if he will be able to find a team in January.
Well i guess it is pretty obvious that Erik Ten Hag doesn't want Ronaldo in his team, i just wonder why he continually says that Ronaldo is a very important part of his team, when that obviously isn't the case, Erik Ten Hag also confirmed in his press conference this afternoon that Ronaldo didn't only walk down the tunnel before the full time whistle, he also refused to come on for the final few minutes of the game, whilst i think Erik Ten Hag and Manchester United have disrespected Ronaldo a lot this season, i think what the Portuguese did on that day was very wrong and isn't the sort of role model figure his young fans would want from him.
As for this big game, it feels like Chelsea can win here. Graham Potter is managing the team really nicely in the Premier League now. They haven't lost any game for many weeks and got only one draw. Manchester United have been successful in big games so far maybe but all of them were in Old Trafford. I think they might fail in Stamford Bridge also just as it happened in Etihad. I'm going to bet on Chelsea win @2.12.
Chelsea are not really strong under Potter, they struggled quite a lot in their game against Brentford, and they were lucky not to have lost, i know the manager rested some of his main threats in attack, but it isn't an excuse, i think Manchester United are coming into this game with more confidence and even though it's an away game, they prolly would get the victory.
2028  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: October 21, 2022, 05:42:51 AM
Shocking as the clarets sack Steven Gerrard in the early hours of the day after a heavy defeats to Fulham in their 11th league game.
Definitely not shocking to me, i thought he would have been sacked some weeks earlier, just take a look at his stats as Villa boss, stretching back to last seasom when he took the job, they are shocking and extremely poor, when a manager has the kind of record that Gerrard had as Villa boss, he knows sooner rather than later his time there will be cut short, and for Gerrard, it happened after yet another disappointing game yesterday which left Villa very close to the relegation zone.

Having said that, for Steven Gerrard, now i think is the time for him to take a break and work on his coaching philosophies, he might not get a new job asap, so he could use this time to work towards being a better manager for his next club.
2029  Economy / Economics / Re: 76% of Adults are Making Lifestyle Changes to Prepare for a Potential Recession on: October 20, 2022, 10:03:59 PM
Please share your personal experiences on how people in your country are preparing for or dealing with a recession.
Well, in my country i'd say we're already in a recession, it is pretty bad and quite a lot of things have become unaffordable, especially for the common individual, i don't think citizens in my country had any special preparation for this, and now that we are in a dire situation, people are basically just seeking diverse other ways to make an additional income for themselves, but there is another problem, and that's unemployment, which is quite high over here, thus over the past few years in my country i've noticed an increase in the desire of individuals to get themselves acquainted with one skill or the other, and to learn more about the digital market and how they can channel it to be productive for them.

Having said that, personally nothing changed for me, i've always lived a frugal life, i hardly buy more than what is necessary, and i take saving and long term investment quite seriously, thus i don't really have that much cutting down on things to do, i'll just keeping doing things as i've always done and hope my investments are ripe in year's to come.
2030  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: October 20, 2022, 09:21:41 PM
If his team was losing and he did this, it would still be wrong but at that point, I would understand that. In spite of this, his team is winning and there was no need to do this. It is only meant to have a negative impact on his career. It is going to be a lot more difficult for him now, from my point of view, to find suitable teams in the future.
Well, i for one also think that Ronaldo has been constantly disrespected by Manchester United and Erik Ten Hag, but the team is always bigger than a single player, and despite the fact that Ronaldo is one of the greatest player's of all time, he still has to respect the club in all ways possible. Shortly after his suspension from the team, Ronaldo has issued an official statement/apology to the club, and from his words i think he is really sorry for his actions and the club should forgive him and the two parties should work together and show each other more respect going forward, at least before he maybe leaves in January.
2031  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: October 20, 2022, 08:00:32 PM
The news reports that Ronaldo has been suspended from the next game against Chelsea for leaving the game against Tottenham ahead of schedule. Well, I think this is the end of the relationship between United and Ronaldo, now he will be focused on the upcoming World Cup, and he will leave the team in the winter transfer window. I was sure that everything would happen something like this (the second part of my forecast concerns the dismissal of Ten Hag, but here I have to admit he has strengthened his position a lot), but it’s still sad that United and Ronaldo will part in such way.
Yeah it is really sad, he is somewhat of a club legend and tbh i don't think anyone associated with Manchester United would have wanted it to come to an end this way, but i guess it is what it is, and sometimes it's not so good to return to your previous team. I think Ronaldo acted in a disrespectful manner leaving the stadium in that way, but i also think Ronaldo himself has been disrespected by Manchester United and Erik Ten Hag so much this season, so looking at it from another perspective it seems he has had enough of it.

Having said that, i can't imagine what's next for Ronaldo after this suspension, and then where does he go in the January transfer window, i don't think too many clubs are interested in him, his wages being one of the factors in that, imo i think Ronaldo should move to a less competitive league that is willing to pay him an unbelievable amount, i heard a club from Saudi Arabia were interested in the summer, if that offer is still on then he should take it, his time at this level seems to be up, so it's much better he goes to where he will constantly play and make quite a lot of money in the process, but without any headlines for him.
2032  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: October 20, 2022, 03:51:29 PM
Manchester looks very confident at home, they have defeated all the top clubs and this is encouraging. To be honest, Tottenham could not create absolutely nothing, the only one who played well in Tottenham that evening was Lloris, if not his good game, then the score could have been devastating. Tottenham could get closer to City, but with such a game as they showed against Manchester United, they have no chance.
It was something you could call a perfect game from Manchester United, tbh they dominated the game from the first whistle till the very last one, i'm pretty sure Erik Ten Hag will be delighted with his boys, Spurs isn't a small team, so to keep all their star players like Kane and Son in check for the entire 90 minutes, and limiting them to little or no chances was excellent from Manchester United's point of view. Conte loves to use the counter attack strategy to hit teams unaware, but he has to come up with something better, especially against the big clubs, because that sytle will fail against clubs that hold possession well and are clinical in front of goal.

Having said that, the win gives Manchester United a lift before their crunch encounter in the weekend away to Chelsea. Chelsea didn't do so well against Brentford, so they'll be looking to bounce back against Manchester United, it would be exciting to watch, i'll predict a win for Manchester United in this one.
2033  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: October 19, 2022, 10:25:15 PM
That Brentford vs Chelsea is something else, It was very tough, interesting and a 50-50 kind of game, both teams played like they were contesting for a trophy tonight.
Kepa performance in tonight's game was superb with a lot of saves coming from him , else Chelsea would lost that game a point and he deserved Man of the match. However, It was a good results for both teams especially for Chelsea, very much better than loosing that game.
Brentford are a pretty decent team to say the least, they really gave Chelsea a run for their money tonight, imo they were the better of the two teams and the more deserving of the three points, but against a team like Chelsea they'd definitely be happy with the point that they got.

Having said that, Kepa plays like a man reborn these days, and i see why Potters has reinstated him as Chelsea's number one goalkeeper, a few months ago when Tuchel was head coach, it felt like Kepa's time at Chelsea was coming to an end, Mendy was first choice, whilst Kepa was for the less important games, and even in such games he fumbled quite a lot as he lacked confidence, fast-forward to the post Tuchel era and Kepa is making world class saves in many games, i am happy for him, and i'm afraid Mendy might just have lost his number one position permanently.

nd now dat u don kno di cartel wey bi dem bi anoda problem wey u go face 4 ur govt. nd u wan do ur promises. So na weti u go do 2 do those tins?
nd also weti dey ur mind 2 do if na u be di president 4 we country?
No be everybody fit take up the position of a leader, some people they good to lead why others go be good followers, that is the way a good community/country fit progress, as funny as it may sound, like this wey i they i no fit aspire to be president of Nigeria, i go prefer to have a quiet and good life away from politics, but i no go fail to support candidate wey i don study im records, see im manifesto and i don they sure say e they ready to serve, na that kind candidate i go always support.

Having said that, as for the cartel stuff, this is the reason why we they support PO, because we know say godfatherism no follow for im campaign at all, and if him become president nobody go dictate to am wetin to do. So as e be so if person wan become president make e try to win the hearts of the peope and not one godfather or the other.
2035  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is there something I don't get about USD possible losing it's value? on: October 19, 2022, 05:50:01 PM
Also what do you think about USD future? Is it possible that USD might lose value on coming months? Will stable coins start to lose it's value? I am holding BUSD for dips on BTC but I still have alot, waiting for 12,000$ per BTC before buying but the scary news about USD losing its cool scares me.
Well it is not like the USD is going to vanish or go extinct in the future, it is too strong a currency for that to happen, prolly the strongest fiat currency in the world, thus the only thing i know and think about the USD in the future is that it is going to lose a lot of its value as a result of inflation which is currently a global issue with no end in sight.

Having said that, of course if the fiat currencies pegged to the stable coins you are holding lose some of its value, it invariably affects your stable coin, mind you also that stable coins aren't safe to hodl, quite a lot of things can go wrong when you hodl stable coins, that's the thing with centralized services, you might want to reconsider and buy that Bitcoin now and move to a decentralized network were you the owner are in control and have freedom to use your funds how you like.

You prolly missed it because it was posted in the beginners and help board, and i've read you say a couple of times that you have this board on your list of ignore boards, or have you unignored this board?
I didn't look at anything more recent, so I don't know if OP still writes as though he's texting,
Well OP doesn't quite write in that way again, but their posts isn't still good enough to rank up for plethora of reasons.
2037  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Give new topics some time, you will learn a lot on: October 19, 2022, 02:25:05 PM
Newbies, do not make any hasty decision from fresh topics on this forum, wait till members reply that topic first because some people create topics like they know it all but if you give it time you will get valid answers from a combination of comments from other members,  reading through comments alone will enlighten you, unless you don't like reading meaning you shouldn't be on here in the first place.
You shouldn't take a decision (whether hastily or not) just because you read a single thread on Bitcointalk, you have to DYOR properly first, the forum does not prevent users from making posts, except it is flat out spam, thus it would be deleted, if it ain't that the post will stand, so i don't see how a user can basically just read one topic on the forum and starting planning their decisions based on that, you'd have to verify, through reading other topics about the subject using the search button, and also search for external sources to compare it with the information you got here, thus you'd be able to ascertain which is the right decision to take.
2038  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Nigeria (Naija) on: October 18, 2022, 09:56:52 PM
Me sef don tire for this whole Political gymnastics. Make 2023 February come make all this things end. The truth be say no matter who enter there the person no go fit perform magic. For example as the new $ to N exchange rate na 750, we nor go expect say as soon as the next president enter the naira to dollar exchange rate go go back to 150. Anyways, our hope and prayer na say make Obi win because that man go set the bar very high for the next 001 of we naija.
Definitely e no go fit happen overnight, especially as the person go they inherit a country wey Buhari administration don turn upside down with insecurity wahala, economic palava, debt gbese and many other things wey choke, some go even they hidden from the common men like us, so we know say this change wey we they find go take time, that one na sure thing.

Having said that, wetin we just need be say make Nigeria taste good leadership for once in this country, and i believe say if that thing happen, e go set the ball rolling for good things to they come constantly, and wetin i believe be say if that good leader enter there, even after im tenure end, Nigerians go still vote another good leader, because by that time them go don taste the fruits of leader wey get purpose, thus them no go wan go back the former status quo.

Due to the UEFA Champions League, Frenkie de Jong rejected Man United, but was benched for Sergio Busquets. The team is now headed to the UEFA Europa League to face Manchester United. Benching experienced players like Frenkie de Jong is disrespectful. Frenkie is being treated very badly by Xavi, he should continue starting the game, and Busquest should be benched. In the coming transfer window, he must move to a better club.
I don't really know what Xavi is thinking benching a quality player like Frankie, i don't know if it is to prove a point or because of the saga that went on between Frankie and Barcelona in the summer, but if he continues to make poor decisions that come back to haunt the team, then his job could be on the line pretty soon.

Having said that, i don't really think the only reason Frankie rejected Manchester United was because they weren't going to play CL football, it prolly had a thing to do with him being unsure of the Manchester United project, and likewise issues with his wages/salary, but tbh i think he should be starting in this Barcelona team, Xavi better start making the right decisions, or else it's going to cost him his job.
2040  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: October 18, 2022, 01:08:14 PM
Liverpool have been in impressive form over the past week and picked up a crucial 3points against Manchester City in the weekend. I saw a different Liverpool side against Manchester city and it shows that they’re in better form at the moment and should be able to win this Westham side. Does look like Salah has found his scoring boots and I’m tipping him continue the form. West Ham United have not been at their best so far this season so I don’t see them post any trouble for Liverpool.
It was indeed a crucial win for Liverpool, but i'd not say they were all that impressive or that because of the win they got they are now in impressive form, i think they were happy to allow City play the football whilst they try to hit them on the counter, even their goal was against the run of play and on a quick counter attack after KDB had launched a really poor freekick, thus i don't think it can be said that Liverpool are back to their best, but the win can definitely give them a well needed lift.

Having said that, we'd see if the win did give them the morale lift they need when they face West Ham tomorrow, the game is at Anfield anyway, so it is pretty certain that the chances of Liverpool losing is quite slim, but overall i don't think Liverpool are back, i still think they win struggle this season.
