1081  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: June 28, 2023, 11:09:54 AM
Currently, Manchester City doesn't have any competition in the Premier League. That didn't relax after their triple trophies. They are still buying more quality players so that the team will maintain its quality. I have not seen any club that is prepared for next season like City. There is also a sense of good relationship between the club owners and Pepe Guardiola because he always gets what he wants.
I think it is safe to say that Pep Guardiola knows how to win the Premier League, and that's very scary for the rest of the teams in the league, look at how many EPL titles he has won since he became manager at City, some he won on the final day, some with just a point, it doesn't matter, he just knows how to win it. Last season was their third title in a row, if they win it next season, they'll create a new record and become the first team to win the EPL four times consecutively, but who is to say they can't do it, which team is going to stop City, personally i can't see any. Pep is prolly going to turn the EPL into a farmers' league.
1082  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: June 28, 2023, 10:57:41 AM
Manchester City must have been after him due to having 2 players in the defensive midfield position and they might be likely to lose Kalvin Phillips in this transfer window as well. But it looks like they don't aim to spend that much money for this transfer. They are already preparing to spend around 85m pounds for Gvardiol.
I actually didn't think it was possible for City to sign Declan Rice, rumors online even say City were actually not fully interested and that Pep was only helping Arteta by joining in the race, in order to convince the hierarchy at Arsenal to bring out more money for the transfer to happen (i don't know how true this info is). City don't need Rice imo, he is a decent player, but he is overpriced to say the least.

I think City are now going to turn all their attention to Josko Gvardiol, he is going to cost them quite a lot of money, and if they get him i don't think they'll be able to make any big money signing again this summer. Kalvin Phillips isn't leaving City, he confirmed it about a week ago that he wants to stay and fight for a place in the team.
1083  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: June 27, 2023, 08:42:38 PM
I'm glad Manchester United had a great Coach, but this is the right time to backup the coach to sell flops and drop worthy players capable of fighting for Manchester United. Also, Manchester needs two quality midfielder's, so much delays with mount mason, I'd even want to see a move for James Madison over Mason Mount. Manchester United needs quality before the start of a new Premier League season.
Manchester United have been spending money for quite a long time now, i don't think their manager can complain about the club not spending money, the problem is that more often than not they spend the money on the wrong players who wouldn't fit into the team. Manchester United are going to spend again this summer, despite the uncertainty surrounding the club's ownership and if the Glazers are selling or not. Having said that, Manchester United cannot sign Maddison, he has agreed personal terms with Spurs, and if they can agree a fee with Leicester, he'll be playing in North London next season.
1084  Economy / Economics / Re: After Making Money In Bitcoin, How is Black Tax Affecting You Economically? on: June 27, 2023, 06:27:17 PM
If your responsibilities in RL is larger than your income, you'd definitely run into financial problems; it doesn't matter where the income comes from, be it crypto, your RL job or a combination of both and more, if what you earn is smaller or almost equal to what you're spending, you'd struggle to have any savings or any money left after paying your bills.

Having said that, it is either you drop some of the responsibilities or you look for a way to earn more income. If possible you can empower some of the people who depend on you, so they can start making money of their own and in the long run it'll relieve you of the financial stress. Anyway i take responsibilities as part of life, because there was a time i was also a burden to other people.

Im sure bayern will be giving up in bidding kane. It will not meet €100m.
I think Kane might end up finishing his career or peak years in Tottenham, and that's prolly not because he is happy at Spurs (why would he be happy with winning nothing), but because of how difficult it is for clubs to bargain with Daniel Levy and Spurs. City wanted to sign Kane two seasons ago, but they were frustrated out of it by Spurs, what they do is set a price they know that no club might be willing to pay and just like that, the player goes nowhere. Bayern Munich aren't known for spending too much money on players, thus i don't think they can meet Spurs' valuation for Kane.

If there is a way he can reduce his salary significantly and PSG request for a low fee for Neymar then he can be signed.
There are people in Barcelona that want him back and there are those who do not. Neymar himself likes the idea of returning to Barca but its a very difficult thing to happen.
Barcelona can't sign Neymar because of his salary/wages and the transfer fee that PSG are going to ask for. It is obvious that PSG are very willing to sell Neymar, but they are going to sell him for the right amount, they are not going to make it cheap so that he can leave easily, remember that when PSG signed him it was for a world record transfer fee, worth over £200m, so they have to sell him for a good amount. Neymar is also not going to take a pay cut, coupled with FFP issues regarding Barcelona, all of these makes it impossible for them to sign him. There's rumors that Manchester United might be interested, now they are the sort of club that can afford to buy Neymar from PSG.
1088  Economy / Economics / Re: Has everyone become too pesimistic about the economy? on: June 26, 2023, 06:27:42 PM
Quite a lot of people are pessimistic about the Global economy because they think a collapse of the global economy would make Bitcoin price to appreciate to very high levels, i do not personally agree with that narrative, a collapse of the global economy into recession will definitely affect the price of Bitcoin, it will decrease Bitcoin adoption and demand and send the price crashing down. Having said that, i am not too pessimistic about the Global economy, but i am about the economy of my country, our government is taking backward steps and implementing regressive policies, and personally i can't see light at the end of the tunnel for the economy of my country.

But those who are in the Bitcointalk platform and Bitcoin enthusiasts should preach good News about Bitcoin and also to protect the currency or coin from the critics.
You can challenge/correct misconceptions and flat out lies about Bitcoin if you have the chance or if you wish to do so, not that it is mandatory, but you cannot "protect" Bitcoin from critics, there'd always be critics and those who think Bitcoin is a scam/bubble/good for only money laundering/etc.
As a Bitcointalk member activity in the forum, you are a representative of Bitcoin in the outside world to those who are still Sceptical about the coin and the blockchain.
You are not, Bitcoin doesn't have nor need any representative (it isn't centralized). If you are on the forum, you're just a user on Bitcointalk, who's meant to contribute to discussions about Bitcoin and other whatnots.
Be a good Ambassador in your locality and represent Bitcoin to the core.
I'd prefer to keep my Bitcoin life very private.
1090  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: June 26, 2023, 05:36:58 PM
The way I see it, Kai will be much of a liability than assets just like Maitland Niles was.
We cannot say that for sure, it has happened times without number that a player leaves a club that they were playing pretty bad and moved to a new club and started playing excellently well, it sometimes depends on the manager's style of play and the trust the manager has in the player. Arteta is a very good coach and i'm sure he feels Havertz would be important to achieve their goals next season, thus we have to wait and see how well he does before we can say if it's a good or bad decision.
1091  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: June 26, 2023, 02:11:20 PM
Not a Chelsea fan but I believe it’s too early to start calling Mudryk a flop from his stint at Shaktar Donetsk he was arguably their best player there. He needs time to adjust to the Premier League which is the toughest league in the world.
There was no player in Chelsea last season who performed close to their level/standard, they were all really bad and thus it is somewhat unfair to single one player out as a flop, but rather the entire team flopped. Mudryk has time to shine, he is just 22 years of age and is yet to have one full season in Chelsea. If Pochettino decides that the Ukrainian is good enough to play in his team, he'll give him the opportunity next season, and we'd then see how good he performs and only at the end of next season can we now pass appraisal on him.
1092  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: June 26, 2023, 02:00:14 PM
Anyway what do you guys think of Havertz's possible transfer to Arsenal for 65m GBP?  I think it's good that Arsenal is splashing the cash but on Havertz?  Don't get me wrong I think he's a good player but 65m GBP for a misfiring striker?  I think he had less than 10 goals made last season...  But yeah maybe Arteta saw something that we don't.  Let's wait and see.
Kai Havertz has already joined Arsenal, the deal is already complete and Havertz is now an Arsenal player. Personally i'm not really a fan of Kai Havertz and i cannot say what his strengths are as a footballer, but if Arteta wants him and now has him for £65m, we'd see what he plans to do with Havertz and how well he can improve this Arsenal team.
And there's some words swirling around that Jorginho could follow him.  Dunno...  But it does make sense for Chelsea to unload some players.
Jorginho left Chelsea for Arsenal in January, that is about 6 months ago or so. Angry

Why BlueWallet? Also on a mobile phone, the security of which is similar to a leaky bucket. Why not electrum installed on PC?
BlueWallet is vital for people who use IOS devices, people who use only IOS devices cannot use electrum because it is not available, thus they have to use an alternative, and BlueWallet is a good alternative; it is a non-custodial wallet and is open source too. Having said that, i don't think security issues are peculiar to mobile phones, you can use a mobile phone securely without being hacked, it basically depends on how you pay attention to personal security.
1094  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: June 25, 2023, 05:01:03 PM
Harry Kane is a good player, all he needs currently is a chance to work with a trophy winning side, and it that be Manchester United? For a player that scores more than, thirty goals a single single and having Bruno Fernandez behind, United are sure kf winning the tittle.
Harry Kane will obviously improve Manchester United if he moved over there, but it does not mean they will surely win the EPL, i don't think Manchester United as a team can win the EPL next season, they still need at least another season with Erik ten Hag before they'll think of winning the title.

Look at Arsenal, they thought they were on their way to the EPL title last season, but in the most important part of the season, City showed them why they have more experience to handle the pressure of the last few weeks of the season. Right now City are just unstoppable in the Premier League and i can't see any team usurping them.

according to information from german sportmagazine 'kicker', croatian international Josko Gvardiol has reached an agreement with manchester city on a long-term cooperation and has informed rb leipzig of his intention to transfer. however, the german dfb cup winners have not yet received an official offer for the 21-yo center back from rbl. leipzig are prepared to let JG go, but only in return for a transfer fee in the region of €100 million.
City have got one Croatian already this summer, in Kovacic, and now they want to sign another Croatian, Josko Gvardiol. It is known that Pep has admired this player for sometime now, so it was easy for Gvardiol to agree personal terms with City, i think the problem is now going to be Leipzig, City would not want to spend €100m for this player, i know he is very young and also a good player, but he is not worth €100m.

City would try to bargain as best as possible and might be able convince Leipzig to cut down on the transfer fee. Having said that, City can't sign both Rice and Gvardiol, it can only be either of them because the two selling clubs value their players at/over €100m, and City can't spend that amount on two players in one summer transfer window.

then use the safest wallet, the choices are various good examples, BlueWallet as presented @mk4 and the first thing you need to take care of is the e-mail (Create a special one and not one that you often share with friends or colleagues in your work profession), Copy that for passwords and private keys, save them in a special place and don't save them automatically on your desktop, for example, crome. At a minimum, the basics for completeness can be added by friends here.
Your email should not be used to save your passwords or private keys, use a Hierarchical deterministic wallet so you'll have only the seed phrase to save, write it down on paper and keep it very safe, if you use a password for your wallet file that you can't remember, also write it down, but in a different place from where you wrote your seed phrase. Don't save private keys or seed phrase online or in your email, it can be hacked easily and your funds will be stolen by scammers.
1097  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can I Recover my loss of crypto on this platform? on: June 25, 2023, 12:38:40 PM
Hay, I am New here and know about Bitcoin for the last few years but I lost many times in crypto trading. So my question is that how to trade Securely and profitably?
I deduce from this post that you're looking for a way to trade without incurring losses, that's basically not possible, no matter how skilled or experienced you are in crypto trading, there is always the possibility of you incurring losses. If any platform or individual promises to trade for you with assurance of profit/fixed returns, it is a scam and you should steer clear.
And what are the rules and regulations for me that must follow this platform recommended some close ones will say you will learn from this platform so much and I hope to recover from the loss and get a lot of benefits and knowledge gain that is why I am very excited to hear.
This is the unofficial rules of the forum: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=703657.0, mind you that the knowledge you'll garner here is of Bitcoin and other whatnots, and not to help to trade without losses or to recover what you have lost previously to trading, because it is not possible.
1098  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: CBN Mandate Banks to Use Social Media Handle for Customer's KYC on: June 24, 2023, 08:05:11 PM
Wetin i don conclude be say this new administration just dey do initial gra gra make e be like say dem dey work, after the first week i bin think say dem dey work, make i no lie they almost deceive me, but reality now be say dem just dey try do things (most of which no really make sense) to convince Nigerians say dem dey work and because of the case of our mandate wey dem steal, the matter still dey for court.

I no see how social media handles go help them for their customer verification, or to know who dey into money landering. If we dey find people wey dey move our money, we no gats look too far na, na our politicians. Having said that, social media handles can easily be faked and cannot even be used to accurately detect the character of a customer.
1099  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How quick do altcoins pump in bull run? on: June 24, 2023, 07:51:50 PM
Any advice on how to prepare when it comes to being ready to take profit?
You'll only accrue and take ROI if the altcoin you buy pumps and you sell right before it dumps, not all altcoins will pump during the bull run, quite a lot of them do not have any actual utility/demand, so there's nothing to facilitate their pump, thus they'll either appreciate for a very short term and dump very fast. The thing is, altcoins can pump pretty well, but it is difficult to know which one is going to pump, and that's the reason why it is difficult to invest in altcoins and be certain of ROI.

And because I want to come back to this world, I need to orient myself towards what is currently in high demand so that I can provide it with the skills I have.
What are the skills that you have, you have to first of all promote your skills and see if people would be interested in hiring you. To do that is quite easy on the forum, just make a post in the service section advertising what your skills are. I don't know if you will be making the thread with this newbie account, but mind you that there's a lot of competition in that section, thus quite a lot of people would be reluctant to hire a newbie account who doesn't have a reputation yet on the forum.
