1102  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: June 23, 2023, 06:43:52 PM
Liverpool could be the best team for Mane. He's had the best years of his career there, Bayern hasn't been so good for him. There is already a long expectation that he will return to England. If he is going to play in the Premier League, he can come to Liverpool and make an effort to make the team champion again.
I don't think it is possible for Sadio Mane to play for Liverpool again, the club has already moved on after his exit, so they would be better off signing new players and try to build a team around them, rather than bringing back players who gave their best to the team and have already left for a different challenge. Sadio Mane didn't have the best first season in Bayern Munich, but i don't think he is ready to leave just yet, i know that the altercation with Leroy Sane makes it somewhat tricky as the club might want to sell one of them, which would prolly be Mane, but since the transfer window opened, there've been no news on Mane leaving the German champions.
1103  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Saudi Professional League 2023/2024 on: June 22, 2023, 06:16:20 PM
Well the Saudi teams are alluring quality players from Europe, though a chunk of these players are already well past their peak, but the truth remains that money is currently the only motivating factor for most of these players to move to Saudi, and i don't think that's how to develop a league, i'm afraid this method can only last for the short term.

The Saudi league must look for other ways to allure quality players, of course money is important, but only money wouldn't get you world class players who are at their peak, the development has to be organic if it would last long, this is why i am not too optimistic about the Saudi league becoming somewhat elite in many years to come.

Honestly, Rice is a top player but in transfer market you have to be smart as well. Now that City has joined the race, it seems a bit difficult for Rice to come to Arsenal but even so if we don't get the player then go after another one on the list. There are plenty of defensive midfielders also and one of the names is Tielemans which we were interested in last time.
Youri Tielemans is no longer available, he left relegated Leicester City as a free agent and has signed for Aston Villa now, i don't really think Arsenal were interested in the Belgian, if they were, they would have approached him immediately Leicester City were relegated. Arsenal's top target remains Declan Rice, it is obviously more difficult for them to get their man now that City are in the picture, but it is still possible. Whilst i dont agree with West Ham's valuation of Rice, he is a top player who would improve any team that gets him.
1105  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: June 22, 2023, 12:26:08 PM
I can't understand why Arsenal's plans have to be tripped up by other teams if Declan Rice later transfers to Manchester City. However, the competition for Declan Rice has only just begun and now it remains only for the player to decide which club to play for next season.
According to reliable sources, Declan Rice doesn't mind going to either Arsenal or Manchester City, what would decide the club he moves to is how talks progress between West Ham and the two clubs respectively. Arsenal have sent two bids to West Ham which have both been rejected, City are yet to make any official bid, but we know how strong they are financially; thus i'd not be surprised if City make just one bid to West Ham and it'd be accepted. The hierarchy at City know how to do good business and they might beat Arsenal to the signing of Declan Rice, just as they did to them to win the EPL title last season. Grin Tongue
1106  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: June 21, 2023, 01:41:50 PM
Gundugan is definitely a City legend and whatever he decides will be respected by the City fan’s and I’m sure that he’ll be welcome back if he decides to join them in any role. Furthermore I feel that he should join Barcelona and further cement his legacy as he’s an incredible player and then after a year or two he should join the Saudi league.
Of course Gundogan's decision will be respected by all sections of City supporters, if he chooses to leave they'll understand his decision and respect it. He just had a child and prolly he and his family would love to move to a different country, he has given everything for City and has won all the trophies that there is to win, it might be time for a new challenge, we'd see.

Sergio Busquet left Barca at the end of this season, i guess Gundogan can come in with so much experience and leadership quality and bring back some of the experience Barca will be missing with the absence of Busquet; reliable sources have it that Xavi has spoken a lot with Gundogan, we'd see if he can influence his decision to come to Spain.
1107  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: June 21, 2023, 01:03:50 PM
Kovacic to Manchester City is already a done deal. As confirmed by Fabrizio Romano.
Yeah, great signing for City, Kovacic is one midfielder i love so much and he is someone i don't have any doubts that he will succeed under the management of Pep Guardiola, the transfer fee is also perfect, £30m if you include the £5m for add-ons. The hierarchy at City have to be lauded for how shrewd they are in doing their business, quite a lot of people think City are successful only because they spend money, they are successful because they spend on the right players and they have a manager who brings the best out of most of his players.

It is uncertain if Gundogan is going to leave, but if he does, then Kovacic is a perfect replacement, almost similar to Gundogan. City are going to fight to retain all 3 of their titles, thus for those who think they'll rest on their laurels, think again!
1108  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to borrow ETH to buy BTC? on: June 21, 2023, 09:34:31 AM
Not sure if the price of 27K warrants to be taken advantage off. IF you know what I mean.
Sure it was 69K at one point for a short time, but for a much longer time it was 10k and 2k and 1k.
Of course the currenct price is something to take advantage of, you might never see the price as low as 10k, 2k or 1k again, thus 27k can be considered as a low price to accumulate. If you think Bitcoin price stays low for a longer time, then sell whenever it appreciates and you accrue ROI on the amount you bought. The thing is, OP's proposed strategy isn't advisable, do not accumulate with borrowed funds, or through staking and other whatnots, DCA strategy is there to enable one buy conveniently if you do not have money to buy with a lump sum. Thus there is no reason to borrow or engage with risky earning platforms to acquire Bitcoin, buy periodically and with the money that you can afford.

While this is unprecedented, I can wholeheartedly say that it's news I welcome with open arms.
I'm not gonna lie, these past few months have been a struggle trying to keep up with the reimbursements, and judging by my slow pace, it might even take more than a year for me to fulfill the full reimbursement for Yo!Mix.
Well done julerz12, i can only imagine how difficult it must have been for you these past few months, you got yourself into a difficult spot and finally found a way out of it, i'm really happy for you. The determination you've showed in repaying this debt is the reason why YoMix decided to forgive you, many users would have left the forum for good after the incident, but you didn't, you set a good precedent mate.

A big thank you to the YoMix team for forgiving him and waving off the rest of the debt, it is such a lovely gesture.

E no get any policy wey Emefiele make as CBN governor wey make sense, sometimes me i dey wonder if he been dey make policies to purposely make Nigerians suffer, and the then president PMB was as clueless as he is, so he didn't see anything bad in it, and he endorsed every one of Emefiele's regressive policies.

Removal of this limit make sense wella, we suppose they champion free market, that is the only way we go fit they allure investors to bring in foreign currencies, the banks go also come get enough reserves wey dem go fit use run their own investments for profits, na win-win. Emefiele just block everyting so that na only him and the high and mighty go fit dey make money, whilst other Nigerians go dey suffer.
1111  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: June 21, 2023, 05:47:44 AM
Arsenal have to cover the transfer fee of £100 million as a final bid and if West Ham still doesn't want to, Arsenal will have to forget about the figure of Declan Rice.
I don't know why West Ham are valuing Declan Rice this high, the transfer fee is absolutely outrageous and i don't even think Rice is worth half of the money West Ham are requesting. It has become the norm with English players, the likes of Jack Grealish, Jude Bellingham and others who were sold for an outrageous amount of money.

Declan Rice wants to move to Arsenal, and for now they are the only team that have sent a bid (2 bids actually) to West Ham, though the bids were rejected, i think Arsenal are going to make one last bid for Declan Rice and i expect West Ham to accept it, or else another team might join in the race to sign him.
1112  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: June 21, 2023, 05:31:45 AM
If Manchester city coach can maintain his potential players till next season, I think the opportunity to embrace the title is there for them because we saw the excellent performance they displayed in this season that made them to over take many teams to maintain the first position till the end of the tournament. Despite, other teams are signing new potential players in this summer, I don't think they can still withstand Manchester city next season because Manchester city coach is a talented coach and he will like to bring new tactics that will improve the players more in next season to defeat any strong team.
Manchester City are favorites to win the EPL again next season, this has been the case for quite a lot of seasons now. Pep Guardiola and Manchester City have won 5 EPL titles out of the last 6 season's, that is an unbelievable and unprecedented feat, something that if it continues, the EPL might soon be referred to as the farmers' league.

City would lose a couple of players this summer, it is certain Joao Cancelo is leaving, there is also doubts about Gundogan, Kyle Walker, Bernado Silva and Aymeric Laporte, even if they lose a couple of these players, they'd still be extremely strong next season and favorites to retain all 3 trophies they won last season. City are also going to make signings themselves, Kovacic is coming to the Etihad and they would soon send a bid for Leipzig's CB Gvardiol.
1113  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Does anyone still stores their crypto in any exchange on: June 21, 2023, 04:40:43 AM
Base on the last two months high prices of bitcoin transaction from the Electrum Wallet,
Electrum wallet or any other Bitcoin wallet do not have their own peculiar fee rate, the network was clogged by Ordinals inscriptions, thus Bitcoin fee rate and transaction fees shot up, if you used electrum or any other wallet for your transaction you'd still have to pay a high fee. Mind you that even some exchanges increased their withdrawal fees, or halted withdrawals in Bitcoin during that period, exchanges also make the most from people's withdrawal in Bitcoin, because they charge a high withdrawal fee and process many withdrawals in one transaction, thus when they pay the transaction fee to miners, they still have profit left from it.
1114  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How can we be sure that our private keys have been generated safely? on: June 20, 2023, 08:47:05 PM
but by reading from friends' suggestions I think I will buy one of the open wallets as mentioned, because so far I only believe in truswallet and the like
If you don't have the funds to buy an open source hardware wallet, use electrum, it is a software wallet and is free to use, mind you to download it only from the official website, if you download it from anywhere else, you might prolly get a fake version of it and incur losses.
Another question : are hardware wallets like bitbox or Trezor considered as air-gapped ?
There are airgapped hardware wallets like Passport, but you can also build your own airgapped wallet with electrum and it'd be completely safe if you do everything perfectly.
1115  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Does anyone still stores their crypto in any exchange on: June 20, 2023, 08:06:56 PM
so therefore it's encouraging to use Electrum and trust wallet that's an exchange to save or store your coin but remember to secure your seed phrase so that nobody can penetrate to the wallet
Whilst electrum is endorsed by most of the Bitcoin community because it is open source, trust wallet is not, because it is closed source, so therefore don't advise people to use trust wallet. It isn't only about securing your seed phrase, Atomic wallet users also secured their seed phrases, but many of them lost their funds, and it could be because the wallet is closed source and prolly the seed phrase wasn't generated in a secure way, or it was pre-generated, thus the same thing can happen to trust wallet.
1116  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: June 19, 2023, 09:40:38 PM
But we cannot say the same for Chelsea. Chelsea will have to make big changes in the team and also get a good manager. It’s really good manager can fix the problems that Chelsea has right now. But even then it will take a lot of time. Chelsea will have to spend a lot of money. I hope they are ready to do that in the next season.
Chelsea already have a manager, he is a decent one, but quite a lot of people do not consider him to be an excellent manager. Pochettino will have his work cut out for him as Chelsea boss considering the position (12th) Chelsea finished last season, he'd have to bring them closer to their previous level (or at least get them back into the CL). I think quite a lot of people are forgetting the number of signings Chelsea made last summer and in January because of the horrendous season that followed it; i don't think they need too many signings again this summer, just a couple would be enough with a good manager to make it all click
1117  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: June 19, 2023, 09:22:50 PM
According to news from dailymail Manchester City is not going to lose their players Kyle Walker and they are trying to make him stay there not the next season other teams and especially Bayern Munich want to hire this player but Macnshter City wants to extend his contract.
Some German news was saying Walker even joined Bayern Munich for 20m.
Kyle Walker is still in discussion with Manchester City, if there is progress in the discussion he will sign a contract extension, if the talks break down, he will leave, and it could prolly be to Bayern Munich. I think Kyle Walker might be concerned with the playing time he is going to get next season, at the beginning of last season he wasn't used quite often by Pep Guardiola, but in the most important part of the season, he became a regular starter again, i'm pretty sure Walker is concerned about what Pep might do next season, he is a big competitor who wants to play every game, but Pep never guarantees that, maybe only with Messi (when he was at Barca).
1118  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Service or Bot for effective and timely DCA execution? on: June 19, 2023, 06:19:03 PM
DCA is a straightforward strategy and it is pretty easy to do, it isn't like day-trading that is time consuming and might require a bot to help you do it, all you need do is to decide how much Bitcoin you want to buy periodically and when you want to make the purchases, this definitely shouldn't take up too much of your time. Hodling Bitcoin requires you to have a high level of responsibility, thus if you can't remember to buy at certain intervals with your DCA strategy, you might struggle with the other important things relating to hodling your funds.
I think you should use Crypto Portfolio Tracker Apps like Coinmarketcap, Cryptowatch, Boockfolio . You can set reminder and they will send you notification about the price movement. It's very necessary when you are doing DCA to make your entry at a lower price.
Accumulating Bitcoins via the DCA strategy entails that you buy at certain intervals, notwithstanding what the price is, thus OP doesn't have to care what their entry price is, they just have to buy at the periodic interval that they have set.

Op your link is broken, thus it is not opening; here's another link.

These hackers are targeting Discord and Twitter accounts, and they perpetrate their scam once they take control of the account, they pretend to be crypto journalists carrying out random interviews before sending their victims a link to perform KYC to prove their identity. It is so alarming how people easily believe it when random people contact them over the internet, they do not even verify if the person is who they claim to be and the next thing they are clicking on links and following instructions dished out by the scammer.

Do not trust; but verify and do not click on links sent to you by random strangers who send you unsolicited messages or try to build trust with you over the internet. Until it is proven otherwise; it is a scam!
1120  Economy / Economics / Re: I don't believe you on: June 19, 2023, 03:54:30 PM
The issue with DEX exchanges is that, so far, they haven't proven to have any significant advantage over CEX, apart from being decentralized.
That's exactly what the significant advantage is, being decentralized, if it is genuinely decentralized it means that it is overall safer and people who use it are not going to trust the exchange but they will have full influence over their funds. They'd also not be concerned about personal data breaches because the decentralized exchange does not hold any of their personal data. These are some of the most cruicial and significant advantages that dex has over cex.
