2061  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: A thing worst than "don't trade with your emotion" a trader should avoid on: March 07, 2022, 09:09:15 PM
It's a normal thing for those youtube video makers.

They have to make the thumbnail attractive so they're going to be clickable to their viewers. But I don't buy those thumbnails and I only watch those videos that I'm really interested at.

But most of them, I've got no interest anymore because of how crowded they are.
That is same with the clickbait articles as well. You just create something that gets clicks, that is the key for the metrics to be found as well. If people see your thumbnail and click on you, you get suggested to more people, and when everyone starts t click on you because they see it, not just searched for it but saw it on homepage or something like that and start clicking on you, the ranking metric says "whoever sees this, clicks on it, let's suggest it to everyone!".

Same goes for google ranking, same goes for articles, basically everything gets listed higher because of click rates, bouncing also matters, if people click and leave right away without watching or reading, then it doesn't work well.
2062  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buying BTC vs Mining it on: March 07, 2022, 08:26:19 PM
If you can mine BTC fine, but if you cannot then you should switch over the buying, which is quite fast, understanding buying BTC won't be much of a hard deal to understand and won't cost you too much expenses.
Bitcoin mining involves taking a while lot of experience, electricity and a totally isolated area to avoid as sought of distraction.

Everyday, Everytime I'm down to buy BTC
How will he know if he can mine or not when he doesn't have a miner yet? Currently, he is asking for a second opinion here if what's best for him but surely he had an experience with bitcoin because anyone can buy bitcoin cheaply by buying at smaller amounts.

If buying/investing in bitcoin works well for him then there is no point of asking here but he can just stick with it but he is still here, maybe he isn't getting enough profits according to his expectation with bitcoin? But, it doesn't mean that mining is the solution to that because mining was also hard based on the feedback of others and some of them have already tried mining.
2063  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and her sisters: Why do most governments hate her? on: March 07, 2022, 06:31:42 AM
The real reasons why governments hate crypto like bitcoin because they cannot make enough money by collecting taxes.
(...)
You got a point here, this can be considered one of many reasons. The power of decentralization will eliminate the third party because what we are right now for example is the traditional banking, here are the banks and governments. It is also one of many reasons why Bitcoin is created, to be your own bank.
But there wouldn’t be a time that everybody would be making use of Bitcoin right? It’s just going to be that there would be those who would choose to make use of Bitcoin and there will also be those who wouldn’t want to make use of it. There are those who would prefer to make use of fiat, same way there are those who prefers Bitcoin.

So, it shouldn’t really be that much of a problem right? But the government would always want everything to benefit, and with the level of misconception that they are having about Bitcoin, it’s part of the reasons why they are always acting against cryptocurrency.
2064  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is your expectation on: March 06, 2022, 08:58:25 PM
My expectation that this war will bring more sudden that help to this market, the prices of crypto will drops more lower in the following days.

this war will last long and may affect the whole world badly .
If it brings help then why would the price drop? the beginning of the war had shock every market including in crypto and that makes the price fall but eventually countries are now in favor with crypto and that helps the price recover. The effects of war can last a little longer because Russia have targeted the nuclear power plant of Ukraine and that can cost more damage in the country. It's in the news too that other forces are now joining Ukraine, that is a sign that war's are getting extended. It seems that Russia have no plans to stop.

It's crazy to think that the war have started by two countries but later on, more and more countries are not getting involved with it.
2065  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Real life utility question on: March 05, 2022, 10:04:21 AM
Is crypto now more than a speculative asset or just the same old thing based on hypes only because it seems like real life use case is far from crypto, we want it to happen for real but it's really not happening, what is stopping this from happening already.
What's not real here? We make money and do you think its not a real thing?
Well, if you're talking about mass adoption we are still far from that situation but right now, many are into cryptocurrency and they are actually making a lot of money. This is not just a hype, because the price drops as well and I think this is a pure good technology where people wants a decentralized system away from the government control.

Government who are against to cryptocurrency are the ones who are delaying the adoption, but technically they can't prevent this to happen in the future, adoption of cryptocurrency is inevitable.
The meaning behind it was the fact that if the only reason why you are buying a token is "it will go up in dollar price" then you are not buying something for real life utility. Obviously making more fiat is a very much real-life utility, but it is not by nature, it is just byproduct of what you are doing. Like dogecoin is a thing people made money, and that's a real utility, because you have more money now. However, do you use doge anywhere? I mean not many places accept it.

So, the approach you have is a correct one and a good one, but that doesn't mean that it is what OP meant. They meant something like using it for a good purpose that would help your life.
2066  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What Top Coin values should I look at ? on: March 04, 2022, 06:08:08 PM
If I'm to pick up altcoin that I consider worthy for long term hold, I'll certainly go for those altcoin that makes up the first 20 on the coin market cap. Coin like ethereum would be the top pick, binance coin, litecoin, tron, Solana and other good metaverse projects. Five years is a long time from now and in this space there are no certainties.
Metaverse tokens and coins are new kind and we are not sure if it will last a long time. We have other trends before like ICO but ICO didn't last a few years, that's what I'm worrying. Binance coin is related to binance exchange but we are also not sure if this exchange is still going to be strong in the next five years or so, because there are now lots of exchanges that are competing with each other.

I am afraid that if binance will collapse its coins bsc and binance coin are also going to crash too but if there is one altcoin I'm sure of that will last on the given year, that will only be Ethereum because if we check the date of this coin, it's already over five years or more since this coin existed so I am sure it will go for another five years or more.
2067  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: PROFIT must not be top priority in trading, instead of LEARNING first. on: March 04, 2022, 02:49:45 PM
I understand how bad if we lose money on our first trade but I think we have to understand as well that not all went too easily. There is something we need to change and instead of focusing on how to earn money, it supposes we have to focus on how to enhance our knowledge and skills first. For the moment that we have all of these things, it can be easy for us to make a profit in the market...it guarantees nothing but nobody was able to succeed in the absence of these things.
It's going to be a bad experience because it was your first time to lose but when you know that it was your first time and you don't have knowledge yet, why would you put too much money? It was also your fault on why you feel really bad.

If you keep on losing you will soon realize that there must be something wrong with the way you trade. You're not stupid enough to continue your old strategy because that can only lead to more losses but you will rework it and you will find yourself researching on how to improve yourself in trading. The chance to earn a profit should now be possible but I won't say it's now easier. Nothing is easy on here.
2068  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: EBAY might accept BITCOIN on: March 04, 2022, 06:33:23 AM
It's already multiple times I heard Ebay want to accept Bitcoin, but the fact there's no real move to realizing that. Last year they did allow NFT trade [1] on their platform without create any rumor or hype, they didn't made any official announcement. I feel they're not brave to take a risk of accepting Bitcoin as alternative, maybe they want to let another big marketplace accept it first e.g. amazon.
Even Amazon is not making any move that shows that they are ready to accept Bitcoin at all, despite the rumors in the past that they were going to be accepting Bitcoin as a payment method on their platform. But, one thing I do know for sure is that whether these two choose to accept cryptocurrency or not,  there is still going to be growth, Bitcoin will keep growing and the adoption will keep on increasing, it doesn’t matter whether they would do it or not.

All these years Bitcoin has steady been growing, even when none of these institutions cares about it. So this shouldn’t be seen as any much of a big deal, the market  keep on moving regardless.
2069  Economy / Economics / Re: Russia's effect on IT sector? on: March 03, 2022, 09:48:06 PM
The main strength of the Russian economy so far has been in its mining products, so if America continues to impose sanctions on Russia, of course this will also cause industrial panic in Europe, Russia is the largest nickel producer in the world, which is around 20%, besides that they also produce such as aluminum, gold, copper, bauxite, and also oil and gas which are the basic needs of European countries, as the largest producer of mineral mines, of course America sanctions may not be too bad affect Russia in the future, because Russia may sell their products to countries outside Europe who are also not America's allies, I think the sanctions imposed by America will affect their own economy because so far America is a consuming country that brings raw materials from other countries other countries including from russia.
Obviously, it will have some impact on Europe and that is undoubtful, and it may even cost a little more for them. But what Europe is trying to do here is that, since they are rich and they can pay top price for these things, and since Russia is sanctioned from them, that means Russia will have to sell it to other nations who are not as rich as the west.

And that means Russia will have to sell it for cheaper, sell to china, sell to India, sell to anywhere that accepts it, even Africa if they have to. In that case the cheaper product would be bought from that third nation, for a lot less and Russia would not make that profit as the same. Like assume there is a thing costs 100 bucks to sell to west, west declines it, so you sell it to 50 to Nigera, then west buys for 80 from Nigeria. You see west made a profit of %20 on each sale, and Nigera made a profit as well, whereas Russia made a 50% loss.
2070  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: March 03, 2022, 08:23:18 PM
Well, I guess it was quite hard for them to 'just win'. Because it's really hard to come back from a two-goal deficit.
But they tried, I would say luck wasn't on their side.
And about the final, I think Nice is going to be the winner because they already beat FC Nantes twice pretty recently.
Or maybe there could be a twist in the tale. But I really think Nice will win.
Monaco is trying their best for having something good in this season, but their performance is unpredictable, and their luck is also not favoring them for having some better chance in this cup, so they drop two penalties and give Nantes a dream entry into final. Now they have two very tough tasks in their coming matches first against inform Marseille and second against Braga in Europa cup if they want to do something positive in this season then surely they need to do something special against these teams because if they fail to give better results then surely they are going to be in hot waters.

With very good form surely Nice is hot favorite for winning this cup but nothing is sure in these cup games and any team can give shocking result with Nantes is coming after very long time in this final, and they already beat PSG, so we can expect some good game from these two teams.
2071  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: March 03, 2022, 07:10:24 PM
Increasing the prize money is a welcome step, but the ICC need to do more. They need to include more teams in the world cup. A competition with 8 teams (where all of them qualified as a result of their ranking and test status) can't be termed as a world cup. They need to expand the tournament to at least 12-14 teams. And another thing is that the qualification criteria is ridiculous. Thailand was on the top of the qualifier tournament points table, but the ICC denied them entry to the world cup saying that their ranking is too low.
Apart from ICC, boards also need to do something to promote this event in there jurisdictions. Hardly anyone in my country knows that there is women cricket WC going on, though our team is participating in this WC. Like men cricket, there is lack of test playing countries that have teams of WC standard in women cricket also. Its good at least we have 8 teams of women that can play WC, cant expect anything good from ICC and big 3 for cricket.
I agree with your statement it's 12 edition of world cup with nearly 49 years, and we have never any good marketing or better things from ICC or any relative board about this event and Australia is dominant power in this competition with 6 wins and England is second team with 4 wins and besides them New Zealand is other team who won this event mean it is doing around just very few teams with few others like West Indies and India have chance for qualifying into final.

But here we have no complaint because this is only sports authority which is never been involved in any progress of this game so just because of their policies now we are losing teams in men's cricket so having not good quality and too many teams in women's are not unusual. But if they do some work surely we can have some good number of teams in both events because now with new formats it has some good chance.
2072  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Women and Cryptocurrency on: March 03, 2022, 06:02:54 PM
I'm not sure about the survey sample. Based on a survey conducted by Blockfi 33% of women are interested in cryptocurrencies. Among them 60% women gonna buy cryptocurrencies in the falling few months time. The same study in the previous year have resulted with a 29% and what we have got is growth.
It looks you are not really sure because there is an error the way you type the text. If there is only 33 percent that are interested then why 60 percent of them are going to buy a crypto? I'm expecting that the buyers are lower than 33 percent.

Women are more on the long term because they are thinking about the future of their kids but men are more on a short term satisfaction only. They take profit because they gamble it and do the things that gives them instant gratification. Women holds btc eth and doge because these three coins are the safest and the most popular. They are new in cryptos anyway so they don't take risk on unfamiliar assets.
2073  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: March 02, 2022, 07:42:23 PM
I think it's a very unethical comparison between Pep Guardiola and Xavi Hernandez, in the Guardiola era Barcelona's condition was not as bad as it is today where they have to cut player salaries to be able to register new players, plus the player transfer market which is relatively no luxury signings compared to Pep Guardiola's era. able to bring Ibrahimovic to Henry. But so far Xavi has given his best for Barcelona despite having to be eliminated from the Champions League event early.
I wouldn't say "unethical", I would say unfair, but unethical is something else. It means doing something outside of ethics, and you could compare any two person without going into ethical deal of the situation. Unfair however is the right word because Pep took a team of superstars, the roster Barcelona had those years were already awesome and he left as soon as he realized that his players were getting older and he needed something better. Bayern and then City and now he is happy all over again.

Xavi on the other hand took over after a team that sucked so badly that they had to fire their manager. Give him some time and he could turn Barcelona around in a few years and make them awesome again fighting for a UCL title.
2074  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for March on: March 02, 2022, 07:08:14 PM
I wasn't sure about what to say neither. I mean we never know what bitcoin will do and that is always a shock to all of us. Maybe it will be 100k by the end of march, maybe it will be under 30k, and none of us would "know" it, we can try to predict or guess or assume but we would never really "know" it because that's something else.

Knowing is like for certain things, like saying I will breath to stay alive, or 2+2 is 4 and those kinds of things, we never really know anything. That's when I realized, if knowing is impossible then I could say what I predict or what I guess because that's all we are asked for. That's why I said yes, because I guess it could stand higher than that, but I just guess it of course.
Yes, we can only guess it without ever knowing whether it is right or wrong. If that's true, we are fortunate because we thought it right, and we could sell it at the next highest price. Maybe I'll make 2 different plans in case things turn around to adapt to the situation and who knows if I can use that time well.

Indeed I can also guess roughly where bitcoin will go, but I don't think that's necessarily true because I'm not an expert in analyzing the market. Besides, I often misanalyze, so I guess it's better if I just wait and do something that might benefit me in the future.
That knowledge that nobody really knows and everyone is just predicting makes you feel a lot more relax. That way you could say anything you want, you could say it will go up, you could say it will go down, you could say anything and everyone will have to just say okay and move on. Doesn't mean that they will be making investment just because you said something, that would be weird and that wouldn't probably happen.

However, nobody could say "how do you know!" anymore, because you are just going to respond with "everyone makes a prediction, and this is mine" and get away with it. The moment I realized that, life became a lot more easier for me.
2075  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ukraine now adds Polkadot address for donations on: March 02, 2022, 03:19:49 PM
It is very possible and will continue whether BNB, TRX, and others, hopefully continue to increase donations for humanity, so that the world community at least knows the other functions of crypto itself and the message implied in it, as Mr. abittraffic said "This is how crypto will be adopted everywhere around the world".
It is, because not all people are using the cryptos that they currently support and a bunch of these people would also want to try to donate but they can't do it for now, for the same reason. I don't know but maybe they are now negotiating the people that handles the donation to support more cryptocurrencies.

This is an eye opener to some people that who thinks cryptos are only meant to be for investment, they will now know that cryptos can also work well for this purpose or anything related to it. Cryptocurrencies will be adopted not only because of its different use cases but also because it can pass thru some heavy restrictions.
2076  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: should i invest in new project? on: March 02, 2022, 01:48:31 PM
Another dating site? Well, this is up to you, if you feel that this would be worth it, then you can go ahead and invest in it. But, on a normal one thing that I do not like about new coins or coins with a small market cap is that they tend to be more volatile than the bigger ones, and they are also the ones that faces much of the market price manipulation.

But that is not to discourage you, if you feel that the project is good, if dating site is kind of a something that interests you, then you can go ahead with it. Personally for me I think I would need something a little more than that for me to be convinced to invest in these, because for someone like me, I can hardly be impressed by that.
So, it is basically a dating site? Sorry that’s not my thing. But if you feel it’s going to be worth it for you then you can invest in it. But, dating sites don’t really make that much, do they? I hardly even see anyone saying that they are making use of dating sites and the few that I see who are using are only making use the most popular ones and they even don’t make use of constantly, it might be just once in a while.

It’s not a like a social media where you post contents and people engages in it. So, do you think this one will be able to compete with what it’s already there? Investment is all about risk, anyways, you can still give it a shot, but left for me it is a no.
2077  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for March on: March 02, 2022, 09:55:19 AM
I voted for I don't know because I do not feel confident to say that BTC will hold $40k. Perhaps, if the price can back to $45k, BTC can hold and not go down to $40k. But as we know that anything can happen. If BTC's price can break and back to $45k and still have a green candle, the bullish trend is coming, and it will only be a matter of time the price will be back to $50k. We are still at the earlier month, and the price can be up and down for more, so perhaps, $40k will get retested again.

2078  Economy / Economics / Re: Sanctions left and right, Can the Russian economy survive? on: March 02, 2022, 04:40:09 AM
They probably would, but it isn't to say that it would be easy, especially on the lower class. The rich are probably prepared for it, there were some early signs that they could've used to stash their savings safely, plus they have the connections to make it happen. They'd survive alright, but it'd be pretty hard. I hardly doubt Putin wasn't prepared enough to experience this much sanctions when he started this, he probably expected more tbh. He wouldn't start this issue if he wasn't prepared thoroughly for it imo.
Right? I also have the same thought , that he definitely had it in mind that this was going to happen and he had himself prepared for it before going for this. But sometimes it can always backfire, things won’t usually go as you have planned it , so it is also possible that whatever he had planned would end up failing him, it does happen.

So in a situation like that, when he starts to notice that things has become tough and that his subjects are no longer happy with him, he’s definitely going to feel the need to stop, because they are really going to pressure him when the economy becomes screwed and his plans ain’t working no longer.
2079  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar - UEFA Qualifiers on: March 02, 2022, 03:16:44 AM
I understand that football players and all other athletes who were banned from international competition will suffer and it's not their fault. But I think it would be wrong to let them play like nothing didn't happened.
It's same like not casual Russian people started war, but they will suffer most from all sanctions and falling ruble. But that's consequences of their elected president actions.
Why would it be wrong not to punish people from Russia when it is Russia that is doing this? I mean I always hated that type of "it is Putin, not citizens" type of deal. Yeah sure there are some citizens who dislike this situation, but it is Russian soldiers who are attacking, those are citizens, it is Russians who supported Putin thus far, even if rigged elections, not many out there in the world saying bad things about him all the time.

How many players came out against Putin when playing another nation? Out of fear? Well Ukrainians are getting bombed and still against Putin, I am sure nothing worse could happen to them. So, do not give me players were innocent. All sanctions against Russia from Fifa is welcomed by me.
2080  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Its a big red flag on: March 01, 2022, 08:05:53 PM
Avoid investing money on projects where their main point and focus is on the profits you will make, they promise fake guarantee also a a safeguard method that will make you very rich..this is a big red flag

If all the team talks about is money that you will earn without any explanation how they will make that happen and also no technical professionals behind it it's a big red flag.
It certainly is.

A project should be focusing on its development and that's what they should boast of and not on how much money you can make. If they have that type of guarantee and promise, it's likely that they'll giving false promises and that should be taken into account by potential investors.

Money will follow the project if the development is great but there's no guarantee that even it's successful, they're still prone into some rejections and possible losses at the start.
A good project is definitely the one that would talk about their project and not the ones that would consistently be talking about the profit that their investors would be getting from it, because they already know that showing true investors their plans is what would convince them to invest in the project and not really talking about the profit.

You don’t just be telling investors that they would be making up to 20% and you can’t elaborate on what it is really all about and how that profit would be coming. Such thing wouldn’t make sense to any investors that has been in the business for long and knows the in-and-out of it. So, it’s definitely a red flag for most of the people.
