Excellent point.  Presuming CS does actually use some sort of multi-tiered wallet structure.  If it does I concede that your argument makes sense.  But I have my doubts.  And if not, scam seems highly likely imho.

Dividend payments don't mean squat if you can't withdraw them.
2082  Economy / Securities / Re: WARNING: Crypto::stocks currently not allowing withdrawals on: May 30, 2014, 06:52:00 PM
Anybody considering purchasing any digital assets off of crypto::stocks needs to be made aware:

DVC, LTC, and BTC wallets are supposedly offline (preventing one from withdrawing) even though it seems to be accepting dividend payments from asset owners for shares held any attempt to withdraw your coins will currently fail.

I don't like CryptoStocks at all, but the two things you've mentioned are completely disparate and can run in isolation. In order to accept dividend payments all it needs to do is run a node and watch the blockchain ("watch only" style). To withdraw funds, though, that's a hot wallet and would normally be on separate infrastructure if they have any semblance of a clue.
You do raise an interesting point.  However, the fact remains it doesn't seem to be a very high priority for the fella in charge.  These hot-wallets, if indeed that's even how he has them structured have now been down for several days.

*so now it appears as though dividends are being delayed yet again.  Was kinda hoping I was wrong about not having a multi-tiered wallet situation going on.

Any update about this? I am quite concern about this CryptoStocks. I thought they are professional company since cryptsy used it.
I just tried yet again to withdraw both DVC and BTC from my CS account and still saying both wallets are currently offline.  I'm getting a really bad feeling about this!  It  doesn't make any sense whatsoever that if the wallets where down that dividends would still be getting paid.

*Strongly recommend avoiding CS altogether until this get's resolved one way or another!
2085  Economy / Securities / Re: [CRYPTOSTOCKS] Project Reviews on: May 30, 2014, 03:05:20 AM
Damn!
I've just unsuccessfully tried to withdraw my coin out of CRYPTOSTOCKS:
The wallet is offline. Please try again later.
Yesterday I retried the withdraw. It worked!

Try giving it a go now.  Down for me yet again.
2086  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Project Bitcoin Island - Bali - Indonesia on: May 29, 2014, 06:10:55 AM
Congratulations on the article posted in CoinDesk earlier today fellas.  Though I too am a bit uncertain about the valuation your giving your company right out of the gate I'm still impressed with the vision thus far.  The more smaller countries that hop on the bitcoin bandwagon in a big way, the less larger more corrupt governments impact will ultimately have on bitcoin flourishing.

*Because of my uncertainty regarding whether or not your currently overvalued I won't be purchasing any shares right now but I am definately keeping an eye on you guys and wish you all the best.

BTW, the pictures I found online for Bali are absolutely beautiful...looking forward to the day when I can afford to get over there with nothing but bitcoin in the wallet on my phone Wink

Very nice!  Wish I had a few spare satoshi's around to pick a few up.

To those considering purchasing, CanaryInTheMine has been 100% solid in all my dealings with him!  Hash on people!! Smiley
2088  Economy / Securities / Re: CRW AND CPW Shares. Willing to sell cheap. CPW Daily dividends, selling for 50%. on: May 29, 2014, 12:14:33 AM
You should demand that Kumala, the owner of cryptosocks removes the IPOflag in this CPW security, it started out without the shares beeing locked in with the IPOflag and thats what people bought into, a share that should be possible to trade not something the issuers at will can lock people into with no way to sell there positions when they like.

He claims they need to first prove that the dividends they pay are coming from the businesses income and no other means. The owners are unresponsive and have given up trying to do anything about it either.

That's a good point though, if everyone with shares starts kicking up a fuss, multiple mails daily, surely he will lift the IPO or at least use the money that they froze to even distribute to the investors. That's exactly why I'm trying to sell cheap, Cryptostocks is a total joke and it's laughable way at running such a platform gave me my next business idea, hopefully I can get that underway soon. Somewhere like Cryptostocks but with actual securities, responsive staff and proper verification, as in a registered business with the government rather than pay a BTC scam a few hundred and then have cryptostocks be like 'oh we take no responsibility for those matters'

And I think you mean CRW? CPW still have another 20 mill shares before they reach their goal. Did they plan on allowing the I.P.O to be lifted early?
I did mean CPW, they did start out without the IPOflag on but conviniently raised the flag silently without making any announcement about it before before any investors had the possibillity to get shares on the orderbook sold. I doubt they will ever remove the IPOflag unless Kumala changes how the IPOflag works or is allowed to be used.
The sad reality here gentlemen is that raising the IPO flag I don't believe would actually do anything at least with regards to CPW given that the IPO is already at the lowest possible value supported by CS.  Why in the hades Kumalah hasn't upgraded this to support 8 decimal places of accuracy by this point is just a testament to how little he cares about CS or the asset's listed on it.

CRW has basically been dead since May 8th.  0 trading activity since then and orange/black status.  Why in the heck people are still buying CPW's i'll never know.

Avoid CRW and CPW, the 'C' in both of these stands for cancerous.
2089  Economy / Securities / Re: Crypto stocks listing, CPW on: May 28, 2014, 09:13:10 PM
Cryptostocks fail number two for me. For now it only costed me money, haven't made any from it... Sigh.

I really love the concept of cryptostocks, but it's unreliable as hell.
Hope your luck changes soon but if my experience is any indication things don't bode well for you.  I'm loathe to actually admit this because I'm fairly heavily invested in multiple CS projects, but thus far my hit to miss ratio is particularly sad.

Given the amount of volume taking place on CS as of late I wouldn't be too surprised if Kumalah ended up selling it off relatively soon.  /* pure speculation on my part */

Regarding Havelockinvestments, my sentiments echo the gentleman above, they do seem to do a fair amount of due-diligence on listed projects and while there is no garuntee with any of these centralized exchanges, havelock is a much safer bet imho.
2090  Economy / Securities / Re: [Cryptostocks] HEATHERAI - Automated Cryptocurrency Exchange Trading Bots on: May 27, 2014, 02:36:47 AM
There is no reason to not use your bots. If the bots can't make you (the creator) then why would anyone else try to purchase said bots?
Looking more than highly suspect.

*My recommendation: avoid this one too!

**I'm considering actually giving the beta-test a test run.  Should it turn out that it actually works as advertised I'll be back to amend this comment.

Good lord...where are those spare satoshi's when I really need em?!?!

Keep up the excellent work fellas Smiley
2092  Economy / Securities / Re: Crypto stocks listing, CPW on: May 26, 2014, 03:17:56 AM
Looks like it's time to call a spade a spade on this one fellas...lookin like a full blown high-tail it and run situation imho.

Yet another bogus asset on CS!

*Avoid this asset completely!
2093  Economy / Securities / Re: Crypto stocks listing, CPW on: May 24, 2014, 11:38:17 PM
Gotta admit things aren't looking very good for this asset either!  Sad, really sad.

If anyone is looking to pick up shares in bulk @ .0925 PM me (minimum 100 shares per trade).

2096  Economy / Securities / Re: [HAVELOCK] PETAMINE - NEW IPO, NEW HARDWARE, 1,500 TH/S HASH RATE on: May 22, 2014, 02:50:17 AM
Whoa. Was just saving up to try and pick up another share and BAM...just realized no more @ 0.0925!!  Did some big player come in and scoop them up after the announcement?

Fraid I might've missed the boat on this one.  Regardless, well played Cryptx!

2099  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [IPO] CoinPal - Crypto-Currency Exchange & Profit Switching Mining Pool {NEW} on: May 13, 2014, 11:30:19 PM
Gotta say.  The whole 'programmer wishes to remain anonymous' deal doesn't exactly inspire confidence if true.  Either:
a.) Wishes to remain anon. so when the back-door hammer drops he/she leaves no trace.
b.) Doesn't want to have any real recognizable affiliation with CoinPal.

Both bad scenario's imho.
