2081  Economy / Speculation / Re: Market sentiments ? on: January 28, 2022, 11:08:12 AM
This is a classic misconception that many newbies have, they expect the markets to always be in a bullish state and this is simply not possible, after all in order for the price of bitcoin to go up money is needed for this, and even if the world is now inundated by fiat money as governments have printed a lot of it during the last two years that money is not infinite.

As such there are limits to the speed and magnitude of any upward movement that we witness in this market, so the longer and the higher the bull market goes the the chances of seeing a bear market increases, and we need to be prepared when that happens or a great deal of what we got during that bull run will evaporate in a relatively short amount of time if we are not careful.
Unfortunately they are usually the people who came from the bubble during the peak times. They see everything going up all the time and then they think that they could keep making money like that. We all know that bull runs eventually end, and then they see bear run and they get scared and think that it is all over and they run away.

The reality is that bear runs are usually over as well, and that means we are going to see bull runs, and then we are going to see bear runs and that will be a cycle. So the newbies who see the bull run turn to bear, usually do not stay long enough to see bear run turn into bull, they just come in right at the middle of a bull run and do make some money but do not see that change.
2082  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin collapse or mature? on: January 28, 2022, 08:21:00 AM
I still believe and remain optimistic that bitcoin will remain strong and so far the bitcoin community is still doing well so people still believe that the bitcoin platform can still be trusted by the public.
As long as people still believe in bitcoin, bitcoin will continue to grow and develop no matter what circumstances shake the current bitcoin price.
It is not the bitcoin itself but its us or the community rather . if we are strong , bitcoin can also feel the same.
Right now, we are in the situation where btc is crashing and it so sad that a portion of the community looses their hope already by selling their precious bitcoins. They sell it for cash or the things they want and what is worst is they buy coins that I can say not really important, just because they see those coins are now doing well but that can only be temporary. Bitcoin does collapse but it rebuilds again in a much stronger and better version of it self, that makes bitcoin to become matured when compared to the other cryptocurrencies.
2083  Economy / Economics / Re: Efforts made by the US actually provide a new problem for inflation. on: January 28, 2022, 07:48:25 AM
As other posters have said, it is not about avoiding inflation, is about getting it between a 1.5 and 2.2% that seems to be the consensus on what a good inflation is (too little detracts investment, too much makes the country uncompetitive).

As COVID came, the printing machine had to be activates, there is little else you can do during a crisis without basically paralysing the economy. There is naturally a price to pay: you eventually have to pull the plug and start paying the cost with job losses and slow growth.
Is that the only way that they could have gone about this problem of job losses because of the covid-19 pandemic, shouldn’t there be other ways that they could have gone about this? Like they kept printing too much money and making the currency to lose its value, and just like they don’t care, when everyone is complaining about it they kept pumping even much money.

Anyways, I wouldn’t worry much because I had my plans already and right from time I have always get myself ready for times like this by planning the ways I invest my money.
2084  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: January 27, 2022, 09:58:34 PM
In fact, Barcelona had a good game from the first minute to the last minute of the Alaves-Barcelona match. They made a lot of passes throughout the match. They played more with the ball. However, it took them a long time to find the goal. De Jong was offside at the start of the position. However, in the flowing game, he came out of the offside and scored the goal. Congratulations Barcelona. They earned 3 points.
I agree that Xavi is finally getting through the players heads and they are passing a lot more. We all remember that xavi-iniesta-messi period where they were managed by Pep and played the most perfect tiki taka the world has ever seen. Now they do not have that quality of players, so they can't be that good, but they did not played that style neither, now they are at least playing with that style. Would that help?

Only time will tell but they are looking at least more at ease for playing with a system because otherwise they were just playing a chaotic football. We will see them get better, not better enough to be championship contenders with this roster, so for next season they need a better roster, send away the old ones, and get younger players and make a bit of debt if you have to, success brings more money than what they are doing right now.
2085  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: January 27, 2022, 09:35:42 PM
I have to agree because one team batting first or second does not decide the winners and the losers of that match. And any team is going to take the advantage of the toss that's why toss is a thing in cricket.

And I think as the tournament progresses the matches are going to be more competitive and close. I am hoping to see some really close matches especially when the big names face each other.
Toss is key element in some areas like we see in recent T20 WC at UAE that team who won the toss and bat second wins the match. I don't know how significant is TOSS in U19 WC games. Teams like PNG are not up to the mark of U19 WC but still its good that more countries are joining in and gain some experience.
Toss factor is working very important in Asia and Sub-continent because here we have some changes in weather rapidly and due factor is also having big impact on games but in SENA countries it's never have any serious factor like here as we all know what happen in the UAE every time team is winning toss very happy try to chase.

About new countries coming in this game it's very good I like countries those are coming with their own talent and have players from their origin which is very significant here we watch many Gulf countries are still coming with players from other countries which is never been good for this game and their own sack, but ICC is doing this all blindly which is also very bad management from them.
2086  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Just saying on: January 27, 2022, 09:24:43 PM
In the future maybe 2025 the next big thing in crypto won't be what we've make lots of money from like the metaverse, Play2earn NFTS, they will be around but won't be the main focus, it might be web3.0 and other that's not even been acknowledged yet, just saying this because some people are already planning to pack many meme coins and other for the future your expectations might not come true
Web 3 not acknowledge? I think your wrong with that but web 3 is now verry popular and being used the most. its not only metaverse projects and nft's where people can make lots of money but we have the good old cryptocurrencies, they are still the main characters in here.

Metaverse, nft's as well as web 3 are still kinda new and will still be relevant up to that date you mention. In fact right now they are all saying that web 3, nft and metaverse are the future so investing on them can be a good thing. Meme coins on the other hand are different to them so do not classify them as if they are one and the hype of meme coins are already over.
2087  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 27, 2022, 07:28:08 PM
I do not know what the exact reason ATM loaned Morata to Juventus. But the funny thing is, Barcelona sent Suarez to ATM and they sent Morata to Juventus, so basically they preferred Suarez over Morata or at least it looks like that whereas we are talking about Barcelona accepting someone ATM just loaned out after losing their striker to them. They should have simply kept Suarez, it didn't make any benefits to them at all.

Just convince everyone to get paid less and they could have Griezzman, Messi and Suarez to their existing team, only if they managed to give them a decent amount and manage to stay under the salary cap at the same time.
2088  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who is really controlling the Bitcoin market. on: January 26, 2022, 09:44:28 PM
Now is the market been manipulated? Or it all depends on the numbers of investors who invested.
There is something we need to understand about Bitcoin.
The more the demand of Bitcoin the more the increase take place. Can anyone predict the market?
Because people are waiting for the decrease in price and are they predicting the market or not?
I don't think have a better understandingn on how Bitcoins
The market cap of Bitcoin is too large now, and we have passed that level of talking about manipulators. If it is an altcoin that is still starting up, you can talk about possibilities of the price likely to be manipulated, but that is no longer for Bitcoin.

Manipulating Bitcoin is near impossible, the market is now solely based on the level of supply and demand. So, we should be talking about how much of a demand we’re having this year, if there’s going to be much demand, then the market would definitely be going up, and if the demand would be less, then it is going to be downtrend. Another thing is that events that we would trigger such things to happen.

And if you check most of these price manipulators or should I say pump and dump groups, they are now focusing mainly on alternative cryptocurrencies. Because they know it is not going to work out if they should try it on Bitcoin.
2089  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoins worth investing at dip on: January 26, 2022, 08:55:11 PM
Personally, I defend that it is necessary to buy back something that has the potential for price growth and the development of the project itself. As history shows, these are blockchain tokens. The same BNB, Solana had excellent development and greatly increased in price. I think that this may happen again with young blockchains. Therefore, I would choose NEAR ATOM FLOW
I am not really 100% sure with these choices of a thing, I am usually the type of person that prefers to rely on the big names already , because I am always trying to avoid the risk that comes with buying the new coins in the market that are not well known.

But, sometimes I do make my research to look for opinions from experts on cryptocurrencies that they think would be worth investing, and based on my research the coins that I would recommend are quite many – that includes: MATIC, AVAX, ALGO, Stellar Lumens, DOT, Litecoin, LINK. Okay , I know that LINK is quite a good coin, and it used to be a trend, but I least expected when I was doing the research, but after I researched further, I would say it’s definitely worth it.
2090  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's your reason for buying altcoins? on: January 26, 2022, 08:28:06 PM
Actually it is very easy to determine the investment position at this time, if someone likes long-term investments, then he can use the current conditions to buy more coins, but if he likes it only in the short term, then he should really choose the right coin for him to buy at this time
I don’t really think anyone who is investing or trading short term, has to be looking for a particular time to get into the market and start trading or investing. A day trader or short term investor can invest at anytime they see the opportunity, it doesn’t matter whether it is during a bearish trend like we are currently in now, or a bullish trend, what matters to them is seeing that short term opportunity that they can utilize and make profit like.

But when you are a long term investor, you will have to worry about investing at the right time, so that you will be able to hold it for as long as you can and then get your profit.
2091  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Buy low, Sell high? on: January 26, 2022, 08:04:18 PM

It is not about the budget, it is about how you "budget" it.

I never invest anything more than %5 all at once. This means, assuming I have 1000$ to invest, nothing gets more than 50$ at once.

I invest in different stuff of course, like 10-12 different coins/tokens. Which comes down to around 500-600$ total. This was long ago and I haven't entered anything new recently so I can't say I bought a coin for the first time for a while now.

Then, if the price goes down, I wait. If it goes down more than %20, I buy as much. So if I invested 50$ then I get another 50$. If it goes down by %35 or so from my first purchase price, I invest another 50$, and if it reaches %50 then I do another 50$.

This way, I do not have to have new money. Although I save some every single month, which allows me to invest even more, I could even keep going with my initial investment.

So it is not about having a big amount in order to keep investing, it is about investing in a smart way and being ready.
Unfortunately financial education doesn't exist in most parts of the world. People think that if a coin does 2x and I invest only 50 bucks, then I would get 100 in return, but if I invest ALL of the 1k then I would get 1k more in return and that is why they invest all they have.

This overleveraging helped them during the bull run, they invested all their money into shitcoins like doge and that gave them so much of an increase more than 10x and they assumed how they invested was the right way to invest. I am not saying that it would never work, it does have times that it works, but in a volatile market like crypto, slow and steady wins the race every single time.
2092  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to make $ 1,000,000 out of $ 30,000? on: January 25, 2022, 09:15:56 PM
How to find yourself in the world of cryptocurrencies? How to earn a place in the sun and escape from the darkness? Is it realistic to turn $ 30,000 into 1 million or is it just a fairy tale ? What would you do for this? How not to lose everything?  Please share your ideas.
Are you lost? why you want to find yourself but we here in cryptos because we have a passion for it , this got our interest. do not just fit in if your not like that because that's hard, you will only loose and why do you want a place in the sun ? that is a hot place , you will burn there but for your question if it is possible to turn 30k to 1m?

I think it is possible. I can see prediction that bitcoin will reach 1m in the future and your lucky, your just in time because btc these days are only around 30k. Next stop is your only going to hold it patiently but seriously 1m is a lot of money bro and it can be too much for a house, why not decrease your expectation a little so that it wont make you rush and do unwanted things.
2093  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Finally got paid for some work in bitcoin on: January 25, 2022, 08:29:01 PM
I write apps for a living.  Someone wanted a crypto one done and they paid me in bitcoin. Living the dream.
Yep, it's a wonderful feeling. I've started earning bitcoin (long ago) with translations, hence you, with apps, are already at a higher level.
Well done and keep it up!
Not all would really be starting on having that kind of skills thats why he do really have that advantage which he could really monetize if he use it on proper way.
Having this skill cant be acquired in short time thats why he had that skills which is more than in most people here on the market. You could really make
tons if you do know on what you are doing.
So, you are saying that he is already born with that skill? I think it does not work like that. Everyone of us will start on scratch, we may discover our interest eventually but we still need to work that out in order to become better at it. We should not let our self down just because we think that someone has a better skill than us.

Just think that someone will have this skill but he cant do the skill that you have because like I said earlier, it is all about interest. We may have a different set of skill but we do all feel the same feeling when we finally get paid with our hardwork. The feeling gets extra better if the payment is in the form of cryptocurrencies because we have interest on it.
2094  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Busking to promote Bitcoin on: January 25, 2022, 06:46:23 PM
I've been given a Fender DG60CE electro-acoustic guitar. If I learnt to play it, and busked to ask for Bitcoin, would this help to increase awareness of Bitcoin?
This is a fantastic and beautiful idea you have there but to make this promotion come to reality you have to go beyond just playing guitar, you will certainly need a fan base or call it subscribers who love your way of playing guitar so that you will be able to reach to people. Or you will simply play and not make any impact.

I am not here to discourage this idea but just promoting that you are accepting bitcoin may not do any trick for your intention of increasing bitcoin awareness to common people. If you are already a known personality in your local region then you may go straight away or you need to ask your local media to cover your guitar works along with bitcoin accepting options which may let some people get some idea on you and bitcoin.
2095  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoins worth investing at dip on: January 25, 2022, 01:38:31 PM
I would prefer to invest in the meme tokens like DOGE and SHIB and once I have acquired the desired proportion of those coins then I can go for the more established coins with real use like BNB and ETH.
I don’t know why some people are still talking about meme tokens and coins, are those tokens really worth to invest in this time? I thought that the hype is already over for Meme coins, and they have been losing so much value this lately? The last time I checked the doge coin chart, it has lost so much value, and even SHIB seems like it’s not really getting any chance at recovering at all.

Anyways since these coins has got into what seems to be their lowest at this point, it might be worth investing in them and holding for a long term, if they should have a chance at increasing in the future. Cardano is going to be a good choice, and I’ve already invested in it , so any other investment I’m making in it is just an extra. I am not holding XRP for now.
2096  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the potential of the Polygon? on: January 24, 2022, 09:50:45 PM
I know in the cryptocurrency of the world, it is almost impossible to estimate the price, but I want to know the users and experts opinions about the price and the potential of the Polygon in the future. Please share your opinions.
There has been other projects that tried to do something that is similar to what Polygon is doing right now, but most of them were not able to achieve that. Polygon is a project that was created to increase the interoperability between the ethereum blockchain and compatible  Networks. Polygon was able to reach 2.92 dollars in December of last year, and there has been so many predictions about how far it would be going in future as of this recent times. The predictions that we have had so far is quite different from each other, but some are quite similar in a way that they are predicting that the market would get to around $4 from now to 2023.
2097  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: We are looking for Bitcoin Angel Investors on: January 23, 2022, 09:52:31 PM
This is funny though. But what you just proposed to them is what they are proposing to their potential investors.
If they are serious with their business, they don't need to look from users here.
Better pitch this concept to the people that they really know can give them the funds.
Also, with the situation in crypto market, hard to trust your hard-earned money to strangers.
Let alone, promising a very good return, which, normally ended up bad.
This is all starting to look to me as a tactics. This is not the first time that I’m seeing this kind of post. I have also gotten emails that are saying the same thing about being professional traders who will trade for me without even having any access to my trading account.

I usually don’t reply them whenever I see such emails come into my inbox. I don’t get how someone would be able to trade for you, without even having access to your account, how is it even going to work? Before you can carry out any trading, you need to have access to that account, and at least access the funds that are in that account to use it for the trading. Furthermore, they make too much of promises that I can’t even believe at all.
2098  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't punic, just hodl on: January 23, 2022, 09:33:51 PM
a good reason to believe that this is just a correction is the fact that the largest venture capital funds continue to invest money into the market. For example, a month ago Three Arrows Capital bought 156K ETH, or just recently A16z, Alameda, Three Arrows Capital held another round of investment and invested $150M in NEAR Protocol, which indicates that serious guys like a16z and Alameda still believe in growth.
I free totally with your title 'don't panic, just hodl'. Anyone who has been in cryptocurrencies world for a long time will not see this as a new advice or what he should be told, it is a basic knowledge for me. And as thing a going right now with the bear market I don't think anyone has any other choice than just to hodl. I believe this who are panicking are those who have invested what they can't afford to lose. When it comes to bear market the best thing is to hodl.
2099  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin’s energy use is just a rounding error compared to other industries on: January 22, 2022, 05:30:30 AM
I was recently reading a bit of the WO thread (there are always some very good discussions there), and I found this amazing post about bitcoin energy consumption:

Shame on all of you filthy Bitcoin holders. I'm done with this dirty practice. I cannot be part of this disgusting ethical money system any more!
End of!

From the pictorial representation above, no sane person will compare the energy consumption of bitcoin and every other sector. I think it is to obvious for anyone to make such comparison but this is as a result of the hate doled out by government on Bitcoin because they feel they have no control over it. All this to help their agenda of not making crypto currency a legal tender in their countries.
2100  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it time to enter the market and buy altcoins? on: January 21, 2022, 07:26:59 PM
The market situation is not the best and no one knows what to expect, there is a fear of investors in the market. Since the recent drop, bitcoin has lost 40% of its ATH, the fear index has reached 10, and even the altcoins that performed better in the correction, such as NEAR, ATOM, have also lost a little in value. We hit the baseline BTC support of $ 40,000, which we got off to a good start last time, and went to the new ATH.
Any one who know what he is doing in the crypto space know that bearish season is the best time to buy, although might not work all the time. But, this present dip I think it is a good time to buy altcoins so that when it hits high you will take a lot of profits. Although this is not hundred percent, sometimes you buy altcoins at the dip and the dip continues to go down. It always goes back to greeting your research right.

So, always limiting our investments for different coins and tokens will help rather than investing all our money into one single coin or token. It means diversification alone could help us in the times of bearish market and then recovering.
