2141  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Introduce our New Instant & account-less privacy coin exchange – BitConvert.app on: April 14, 2019, 03:37:18 PM
I guess this is convenient since most website requires you to undergo KYC and requires you to disclose personal details before allowing you to trade in their platform, which is a big "NO" for most users. Most users look for alternative sites to trade in whether a site requires too much process or information before using the platform.
2142  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bull run 2019-2020 on: April 14, 2019, 03:07:42 PM
That's the reason why there are some speculations that the bull run will happen in 2019. If so, then that's a big thing to feel excited about since we are all waiting for the best season for the crypto world. I believe that the bull run will happen soon so let's keep on investing.
2143  Economy / Economics / Re: What do you think about crypto currency issued by the government? on: April 14, 2019, 02:42:43 PM
It is said that central banks plan to release their own curypto currency in some countries, for example Japan..

How do you think about these crypto?

I think that couldn't be considered as a decentralized currency because they couldn't control it but they would issue their own digital money just to make things more convenient for them. It would be hard for the government to take control of cryptocurrency so they will just make their own.
2144  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: negative views about Bitcoin always come! on: April 14, 2019, 02:22:17 PM
They have their own reasons because they might have bad experiences but it's not right to blame everything on bitcoin alone. I have heard a lot of negative things even in my country but I ignored them because if they would only knew the real thing that bitcoin could they, they will surely say that it's really a blessing.
2145  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The new bitcoin 2022 on: April 14, 2019, 02:08:38 PM
It's too early to predict that much but that's the spirit of a positive holder. However, speculating too much might disappoint you if it doesn't happen. We all know how far bitcoin has gone and I think that coin still needs to go through a lot as well.
2146  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: From when you are involved with bitcoin? Had u wondered why you not meet before? on: April 14, 2019, 01:48:16 PM
I can't remember date but I was meet with bitcoin when price was $800 to $900. But I had not bother to use it or buy/hodl it. Mostly time I was use perfect money as online payments received or send. You will laugh if you know why I had not use bitcoin because I laugh when I remember my paste thought.

Once I sold perfect money to my local reseller, they were asked my why you don't use btc. Because btc demand is high on my native country although illegal. My answer was, bitcoin is too volatility that's why I am using perfect money  Grin. To be honest that time I had not enough knowledge about bitcoin. However, when I understand the game of bitcoin then it was already $1600 to $1800. And I didn't late anymore, just convert my all fund (virtual fund) into bitcoin. And I wondered, why I had not meet before with bitcoin.

To be honest lot of people's are avoiding bitcoin just due to lack of proper knowledge same like me.

Intention of this post is, we should share knowledge even on real life about bitcoin as much as possible. So you friends/ neighbor will not regret like me.

I had known bitcoin since 2013 when bitcoin price was just around 500$. I was really skeptical because of it's volatility and since it is online there's no proof of income anyone can provide, so I thought it was scam. My brother introduced cryptocurrency to me and he was too eager to earn from it. I came back investing in crypto when the price was too high, and had the worst regret of my life investing in too late.
2147  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If China Ban , Bitcoin Hashrate Will Drop ? on: April 14, 2019, 01:26:16 PM
You are worrying too much buddy. If China does go through with the ban, the mining companies like Bitmain etc won't just shut shop, but would relocate to other countries where they can continue their operations smoothly in a legal manner.

Agree, China is only worried since we all know that China doesn't want their money to be sent out their country which blockchain/crypto did thru mining, one of the main reasons why they are shutting down mining in their country. So, most likely the option is for other mining companies to move to other countries where it is legal with cheap energy cost.
2148  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What if the bull run started and ended in one night? on: April 14, 2019, 01:19:38 PM
That's too short to be considered as a bull run. I think that would be a very big pump and if it happens, a lot of people will regret of not monitoring their holdings that night. It will lead to frustrations and disappointment which has a negative effect in every holders emotions.
2149  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETHEREUM MEW and its new look! on: April 14, 2019, 01:03:55 PM
I have checked it and I thought I was on the wrong site. I even thought that it was a phishing site. Everything is new and different. I like it better though I'm still a bit confused on its features. I hope it's unhackable this time because that's the biggest fear of most users.
2150  Economy / Economics / Re: Study says 79% of cryptocurrency event attendees are men on: April 14, 2019, 12:43:29 PM
Simply because women are skeptical and men are a risk taker. They focus more on the chances and opportunity to gain rather than the risk that they might face. They are also into exciting things and they focus more on the latest technology. There are also women who are into cryptocurrency, it's just that men are more interested on it.
2151  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sicodice scam on: April 14, 2019, 12:26:24 PM
The design is familiar but I haven't played on it despite its popularity. There are negative feedbacks about it that's why I'm doubting about using it. There is better Dice gambling site where you could bet and withdraw easily and fairly or try to report the said incident to their support team.
2152  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Combine stoploss and take profit on binance. on: April 14, 2019, 12:14:36 PM
Binance still lacks some important features but we could still message them via email for our suggestions. If you're not comfortable transacting in binance because it doesn't have a stop loss feature then you could try to use another exchange but I hope that binance could add helpful tools soon.
2153  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Forex Trading or Binary Option? on: April 14, 2019, 12:03:17 PM
I'm not into trading especially now that the market is currently unstable. Using binary trading needs analytical and technical knowledge and lack of understanding of what you are doing might lead you to uncertain losses and I guess blaming the trading option everytime you fail isn't acceptable.
2154  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi Nakamoto is so great on: April 14, 2019, 11:47:12 AM
                          Satoshi Nakamoto is So Great

2155  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Claiming Bitcoin Gold and Bitcoin SV? on: April 14, 2019, 11:22:37 AM
can someone send bsv to btc address ?

This thread might help you https://www.reddit.com/r/bitcoincashSV/comments/b5vdmd/sent_bsv_to_btc_address/ . Just read through the thread and hope this answers your question. One of the reasons why I don't bother getting free fork coins, transferring and looking for the perfect storage for it takes time and transferring them is a little complicated.
2156  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Stop paying crazy tx fees(!) I paid only 1.9sat/B when pool asked me for 100+ on: April 14, 2019, 11:12:47 AM
You should be noticing that last few weeks, the mempool is packed with tx and people are paying very high tx fee. I also paid some crazy tx fees until yesterday I realised that if I pay low fees still it's not taking much longer time.

I had some issues yesterday to send some fund and in the process of solving it I discovered this low fees phenomenon which I thought worth sharing with everyone. I am just not sure which board to share. I have Bitcoin Discussion in mind. I also have Development & Technical Discussion, Mining, Bitcoin Technical Support, Beginners & Help, Currency exchange in mind then I though to post it in Bitcoin Discussion with the hope that more people will read this to get benefit. I can not just post the same topic in several boards.

Check this image: https://i.imgur.com/9ahocyt.png (I did not embed it intentionally because this will take the entire space)

1 to 6 sat/B is crazy then everything looks normal.
91 to 96 sat/B is again crazy then until 104 sat/B looks normal
105 to 106 sat/B is crazier until 160 sat/B
161+ sat/B is where the most of the miners are picking the transactions.

So automatically the current recommendation is 160+ sat/B.

If you are using Electrum then it's recommending any value from 1 to over 100 which I experienced yesterday for the tx to confirm within the next 10 blocks.

Yesterday when I did my first tx then I manually picked my fees since I did not have much worry about the tx confirmation time. I picked under 2 sat/B. I was assuming this will not confirm in weeks LOL but it did not happen(!) The tx was confirmed after 672 minutes!

Then in the 2nd tx instead of paying the crazy fees I again picked low fees (3 sat/B). It was confirmed after 98 minutes!

Now if you see the regular fees which Electrum recommended me then you will see the craziness.

Check the fees differences. I can bring you more 10+ tx I made in the last few day and all are the same with high paying tx because I used Electrum recommended fees.

So, my suggestion is that,
Stop paying high fees while you can spend very less fees for a transaction. Pick something even less than 2 sat/B.

I hope it helps.

Cheers :-)

Note: Please feel free to share this in other boards which were mentioned earlier. More people needs to see this. Thanks.

It's almost 11 hours, but still the fee is too cheap. I think this is advisable if you are not really rushing to get or send from one address to another. This is helpful since most of us is trying to save money paying high transaction fees for faster block confirmation. Let's hope that bitcoin scalability problem will be solved soon. I don't want paying high fees, this is killing my money.
2157  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Lightning Network: 1% Daily Compounded Growth on: April 14, 2019, 10:24:06 AM
I think this is another step for cryptocurrency, one of the best feature cryptocurrency has is it's convenience to users and lightning network was created to solve bitcoin's scalability problem. I know that it is too early and it is still under development and users are still looking and experiencing some bugs. However, this is a good step which can bring bitcoin network to another level.
2158  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain study on: April 14, 2019, 09:23:53 AM
Hi !

I have to study the short, medium and long-term application of the blockchain within the financial sector for my thesis. My professor gave me this topic and I liked it so I said yes. I am thinking about studying who's really working on implementing the blockchain to see if it's just a buzzword or if the majority of the companies are really investing in it and not only talking about it and about their ideas by searching on the internet informations for example. And getting in touch with different companies. I'll be doing my internship at EY next year so I'll try to get the opportunity to have information too. And PWC has already done this type of research so I thought I could also compare a little bit my results by the end of my research.

I don't know if it's a good idea for the empirical part of my thesis so I wanted to know what do you think about it Huh
And if you have other idea please let me know beacause I am a bit lost.

I'm also new here so I don't know if it's the good place to ask my question. I'm sorry if it's not  Undecided

Thank you !

PS : I'm also sorry for my english, I'm not a native speaker ^^

You came at the right place, there's actually a lot of threads in this forum that will be worth to read. As for your thesis, you can just actually scan through this section for your answers. This might help you to get a hunch of what you are looking for, here are some lists of companies that are using blockchain technology in their business model, hope this might help.

2159  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Holding multiple altcoins on: April 14, 2019, 08:33:20 AM
I hold different kinds of altcoins and I put them on my hardware wallet to secure my asset. I make sure that all my assets are secured since I had lost decent amount of money before using online wallets. I think this is the safest way to secure your fund.
2160  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 14million dollar stolen by a thief on tuxedo ( keplertek.io ) on: April 14, 2019, 08:20:41 AM
That's the reason why it is important for us to check on the project's team well. I have been scammed for a couple of times and we can't blame the whole project for that. We can't do anying but to accept the fact that we have been scammed and learn a lesson from it.
