I need to go to array as that particular zec miner has crashed.
I am going to tear that build down and replace the asrock board with a biostar board.
I may set up a second miner there a four card biostar.
Right now I am running 24 cards in my house.
the crash 4 card build at the solar array.
and I have 5 gpus new in box along with 3 biostar boards.
I will be busy for a bit of time doing new setups.
I hope to be back to 28 cards by tonight.
I hope to be at 32 cards by tomorrow.
Goal will be 36 cards for the winter.
Also having issue with ASrock H81 pro we bought on amazon ? |

I am curious to know what everyone else has done with junk boards. Maybe sidehack could salvage the asics and build a limited run of stick miners or pods?

They all claim they doesn't want centralization.
This is clearly pure bullshit now.
We have Bitmain selling us the S9, which is a piece of crap. Either you're lucky or not with your gear. 90 days warranty = LOL
Then we had hope with Canaan to give us a very reputable solid miner even for a premium price i would be buying them over the S9.
But it's way overprice and less efficient. We are hoping that a group by would have put the price down to something more acceptable (Like freaking 365 days of ROI)
But no, buy 1000 units and we will talk.

Bitfury doesn't even gave us a freaking chip like 6 months after they mine with it. They were so proud to tell us they would share it to the public.
I'm pissed off.
Bitfury and more precisely Punin is actually working together with sidehack (see his thread) and will provide chips for him. This is a sure thing that I know. Now two not so sure things are: Bitfury providing chips for asiabtc's a.k.a. LightningAsic's new 16nm miner. Bitfury providing chip for en.hotmine.io S1/S3/S5 re-fit boards. Anyway it seems like Bitfury is the only company who is putting a little effort in to the decentralization. I'm sorry to hear that things went like this with Canaan  They waited like 6 months for that ? I wouldn't be surprise Bitmain is around the corner for a Revision 2 of their chip. |

The life of a coder ins't always a simple one. I also do mistake which normally doesn't cost much to my company but there is always one error that will tears us down even if we did all we could to avoid the situation.

In other news...my A7 cleared customs and should be here tomorrow.
Well I don't know how I will be able to replace my S7 and A6. No group by for the A721 except for freaking 1000 units and the current price is just wow ROI impossible pretty much. The S9 gamble with a 90 days warranty ? no thanks. Bitfury chips = where are they ? Ho yeah mining in their facility while they should be "accessible to the public" minus 1Million order min. I will probably be out of the game soon enough. That's a pretty bad day imo. |

Look at ant pools front page to see if you get one . so far it looks like it's real .. it supersized the hell out of me when i saw it .
if you mined 2 btc or more on antpool antpoo you can get a Amazon gift card it doesn't say how much but you have to go there click the link that says go on the front page then login your account fill out the forum if you mined 2 BTC or more it gives you the form to fill out.-before anyone say anything bad, i agree with anything you say and it does make those who haven't mine there yet mine there but if you have all ready in the past take it i say and tell them well you know i won't go to far i may not get one if i do.

Just try with USB extenders on all cards. My friends also had trouble until they put usb extenders on all cards. This is just case with Polaris. Also on other MB big problems with AMD RX cards, while old cards works great.

Hey guys, I'm just throwing this here wondering if someone has a special tricks to help get my H81 to handle more then 4 cards. This isn't a detection problem, all 6 cards will be detected and if i'm lucky they will all hash but most of the time, GPU hang or i'm even able to start all 6 at the same time. I have this kind of behavior with 4 cards but it is rare. (I have like 4 days of uptime at the moment, no issues) My setup is => 6 1x to 16x powered riser (via PCI-E). All 6 card are rx 470. I tried to reset the CMOS, use different version of the Crimson drivers, reformatting win 10 etc but no luck. Set the PCI to Gen 1 or Gen 2 or Auto. Well i tried pretty much everything. I though it was a card problem but it is not. I have 2 H81 pro BTC and they do the same thing. They were used so i'm starting to think they are faulty for some reason. Well, i'm just asking. I will be running 4 cards only for now. (Which piss me off) Thanks ! on new egg under question ans answers they say using over three cards, to use USB powered raiser cards the MB can't handle it on it's own . i would use them any way the riser kits don't cost much and come with everything you need and are safer then using a MBs direct power. FROM new egg There is a BIOS setting to turn off the "plug in the 4-pin connectors" boot-up splash screen. If you are connecting more than 3 gpus, I would recommend that you use separately powered risers. Just the two 4-pin connections are not enough to support the total power draw of that many cards. If you are already using powered risers for all the gpus, you do not need to connect anything to the 4-pin cnnectors - just disable the warning screen. Set the GEN to auto plug each one in one a at time, i wouldn't use after burner with that many cards if you are, if heat, is gonna be worry find some thing like fan speed that only controls the fans . run each card by it self for 15 mins each then if it keeps crashing or under hashing after all six are plugged reinstall the drivers with all six plugged in . and anything else that was monitoring the cards uninstall and run with the drivers only for a while . ? . or do a clean install on the PC/rig doing a clean install does wonders . other wise if you have done all that then send them back if you can ? . I did read some reviews of some having issue with that board some place it wasn't on new egg . last thought is IOMMU on or off in the MB bios if it's off try with it on and on turn it off . Set the VM without or with IOMMU on or off . to at least 16 gb like Claymore read me says to do with Multi cards. For multi-GPU systems, set Virtual Memory size in Windows at least 16 GB: "Computer Properties / Advanced System Settings / Performance / Advanced / Virtual Memory". That's any way not just Using CM . Yeah All my ribbon cable riser are powered by a single PCI-E. I would have believe it's better then using the USB one. I Also tried to plug both molex on the MOBO while all the riser avec also powered with no luck. I have over 25GB of VM. I will try => "last thought is IOMMU on or off in the MB bios if it's off try with it on and on turn it off ." Thanks for the info ! |
