221  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Buying forest with bitcoin on: April 16, 2024, 05:54:54 PM

sounds a lot like establishedtitles.com where people were shouting scams about it. i remember these titles were being promoted back in covid times when people are actually buying land titles in Scotland to become a lord lol

i don't know about you but buying a forest seems really cool if it's a real property where you can settle there by putting up a cabin or a bunker like the billionaires. but a digital forest is like Whaaat?
222  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Halving is coming, alt season soon? on: April 16, 2024, 05:10:40 PM

i think the plunge already is currently happening. by Monday we are going to see the price going up again. this halving is going to cause a massive price increase of BTC in a few months before the altcoin season starts.

when the BT goes way high and the orders in the altcoins market are already filled, the BTC holders will try to diversify their investment to altcoins to have more liquidity in the market.
223  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin halving, historical price surges to follow? on: April 16, 2024, 04:45:11 PM

it's a known fact. halving is the most awaited time by every BTC investor. i the price skyrocketed up to  651% as OP said, it will probably go way higher than that now that there is ETF on both sides of the globe. every institutional trader is already exposed to this even before these ETFS but this time it's legal for them to get into BTC.

i am however unsure about that $500k. it does sound conservative compared to the ones who hyped these ETFs because some even predicted over $1M.
224  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: how do you think meme coinis? on: April 16, 2024, 04:13:12 PM

sounds fun after all memes are just for fun. we'll never know until the price shoots up. but now that there is a serious tension rising in the global scene, i would be worrying about the small investment that piles up already. adding them all up could still accumulate up to a thousand already, i think i'm going to pass this time. simpsons are fun but losing the value of my coins isn't getting funnier.
225  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Israel vs Iran - Will this limit the coming bull run? on: April 16, 2024, 03:59:14 PM
we may see all these differently because of the situation. on one hand, war affects everything, especially in the region where gas and oil can affect the prices while on the other hand, BTC is about to have the halving.

there has got to be a reason for you not to sell and just hold on to your BTC but there is also a reason to sell when this war escalates. we're just about to find out when all hell breaks because Israel is not a country that won't be able to fight back. they have serious firepower.
226  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Can I Recover a Mobile Wallet on Desktop Using 12-Word Phrases on: April 15, 2024, 08:11:42 PM

this is very convenient these days. we are all thinking of some flood and wildfire since it's the usual thing that could happen already or even war. seems not farfetch anymore.  i guess you have to keep your 12 seed phrase safe for you to be able to import the wallet when phone is lost.

i have done this before when my laptop is cranky. it takes so long to sync the wallet so i import the seed to the mobile version.

228  Economy / Economics / Re: Counting the cost of a ww3. on: April 15, 2024, 07:03:01 PM
The the Russia - Ukraine war is one war that the global economy is on what I will call the borderline of recovery from and here is another conflict in the Middle East  region somewhat a major supplier of energy to the world. if this conflict should escalate with other major countries (which I chose not to mention) getting involved the global economy might be hit with worse recession than we are currently facing.

More devasting would be for those importing nations mostly those of  Africa, against this backdrop and in extension this can also have a significant effect on the price of bitcoin not performing high as investors have been predicting in anticipation to it's halving circle of a bull run as some actors are forecasting of an indeterminate impending ww3.

As you've identified, the poorest countries will always suffer in these wars - even if they are not the direct recipients of military action. Trade routes would start to shut down or be heavily affected. So-called developed countries would also suffer greatly because of that, but tend to have enough established resources that they would weather the storm a bit better. However I don't see it panning out like that, Iran and Israel will continue to hit each other at a low level, but the leadership in both countries knows it is suicidal to push things too far. Israel has nuclear weapons after all and if they feel like they are going to get wiped out, Iran will suffer the same fate too.

they all have nukes. iran wouldn't be this confident in retaliating if they had no capability. Russia is already siding with them and Russia may have armed them with nukes same as when Iran provided Kamikazzee drones to Russia.

the Persian Gulf will be controlled by Iran when all things go worse. they will close the Strait of Hormuz and the prices of gas and oil will skyrocket that's for sure. one thing that has changed since is that Iran has friends, it's not like before that the US and all others can isolate them.
229  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My trustwallet of $211,000 has been stolen, any help or advice is appreciated on: April 15, 2024, 06:45:26 PM

not very sure iff you will just be wasting money to pay tracking those guys but i hope he can track them and make them give the ETH back to you.

could this be a warning to Trust wallet users or is it because OP connected his wallet to an app?  its such a very low-security wallet if its just someone hacks it but i know for sure that if Trust Wallet users are careful in connecting the wallet, they may be able to prevent this from happening.
230  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Geopolitical Tension and its effects on Gambling on: April 15, 2024, 05:51:55 PM

it just depends on where you are in this conflict. are Israel people gamblers?

if they are then they really have to stop gambling and just stay in their bunkers. they will just be playing poker offline in the bunker-turned-casino.
231  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are the blockchain projects you're investing in? on: April 15, 2024, 05:42:52 PM

the TPS numbers are always going to be used to hype the project.

MASSA hasn't been developed nor listed in any market. If you are interested in L1 such as Polygon then maybe you will also be interested in TON. it's the same thing that you like and it has more advantages versus the rest of the smart contract platforms because this TON has huge users. the development of TON has already been aggressive, they even have a few memecoins already just like the Solana.

I have the feeling that WW3 is not happening. The scars of WW2 is yet to heal so humanity cannot afford to go into another full blown war. What you are seeing might just be the instigation of the military industrial complex that makes more money in the time of crisis. I have the feeling that they will find a common ground in the middle east to avoid escalation because if it does, it will not favor anyone.

in extension this can also have a significant effect on the price of bitcoin not performing high as investors have been predicting in anticipation to it's halving circle of a bull run as some actors are forecasting of an indeterminate impending ww3.
In a time of war and uncertainty, I will prefer to keep my money in Bitcoin rather than in the banks or even at home. To have a better picture of what will happen to the price of Bitcoin in the advent of a world war, use the covid19 pandemic as a case study. The pandemic period coincided with the halving of 2020 and in 2021 we had the last bull run. This same thing will repeat should a serious way break out now.

it's what everyone could hope for that they could find a common ground for peace. but Iran raining down drone strikes i think is a message that they are capable of reaching Israel. with this conclusion, i don't think Israel can sleep soundly knowing they are surrounded.

Bitcoin is the only way to keep your money because once the government needs more money, they will come to confiscate everyone's gold and your bank accounts to fund the war.

233  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it possible to invent a system or model to stop manipulating the BTC market? on: April 14, 2024, 07:11:16 PM

the derivatives are put in place for that purpose.  one reason we may be thinking this way is because we are not part of the whales that benefit from this manipulation. but once you are among those who benefit from it, you will also like it.

no system to stop it unless there is no exchange offering those derivatives.  but now that there are ETFs, the market will not depend on halving or any tokenomics but also on what goes on in geopolitics.
234  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Exchange native tokens Vs Wallet native tokens on: April 14, 2024, 06:52:03 PM

wallet tokens most probably have low numbers in terms of the community using the wallet. Trust wallet token is only being used is because it's a popular wallet owned by finance but the rest of the wallet tokens aren't performing well even in the bullrun. i'm not sure of its use case but the exchange tokens are very useful for traders. its somewhat evident that BGB is rising because the exchange is adding a lot of unlisted tokens and its investors are heading to the exchange.
235  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to Approach Alt-Coins in This Israel-Iran Pretended War News? on: April 14, 2024, 06:26:38 PM

your approach will always vary as to whether you think this dump will last long. wars can always last for more than 3 years but i don't think the market will still be crashing when its only 5 days left for the halving to come. so if you think that the price of altcoins will keep dumping, it's up to you. but it is always known that these altcoins will follow whatever BTC does.

once the BTC goes up, all these altcoins also will start climbing back again.
236  Economy / Speculation / Re: Iran strikes Israel. Crypto crashing heavily... on: April 14, 2024, 05:52:39 PM
So you're saying that it is a simple coincidence that Iran "attacks" Israel with some drones and pretty much at the same time the market drops? I don't think so. I remember that few years ago, when Russia officially attacked Ukraine, it happened exactly the same thing, all markets crashed immediately. We are already recovering so I don't see it as a big deal but for sure it wasn't a coincidence.
There is nothing to worry as long as price of Bitcoin is over 60k$. We saw similar type of volatility back in Jan 2020 when Irani General Qasem Soleimani was killed by U.S. forces in Iraq. Price went down to 62k and has recovered back to 64k after news broke out that Iran has attacked Israel. Halving is just approaching, don't pay much attention to such dips rather HODL you Bitcoin tightly for the big meal.
Mate, I'm not worried at all, I was just pointing out that yesterday's dump was clearly related to the Iranian counterattack at Israel following the attack of their embassy in Syria. Pretty much nothing else happened in the world, that was the only big event, I just don't understand why someone would say that it had nothing to do with the dump, why else did the market go down otherwise? Wink

i'm sure this Iran drone attack has something to do with the market crash. knowing that Israel can also shoot from thousands of miles away from them going to Iran, i'm sure the ones in the middle will all be ruins.

those countries are oil producers also which can affect the inflation in the global market. It's got to be making people sell. and besides they know, the BTC market is already showing signs of overbought, they need a crash to prepare for the halving market.

237  Economy / Economics / Re: Counting the cost of a ww3. on: April 14, 2024, 04:48:25 PM
This decade we're clearly seeing the return of wars, and deaths from wars being on the rise. Big-scale wars like Russia's war against Ukraine do cost a lot of money. For example, it's estimated that Russia's spending about $1 billion per day of its war against Ukraine. Ukraine can't spend as much, of course, but perhaps can spend around a third of that, plus there's some financial and military support by other countries.
But this is still nothing like World War III. I think the amount would be in dozens of trillions of dollars for that one.

$1B/day? damn Putin is that rich. but he is just using Iranian drones that are cheaply made, they say they only cost $25K each. that is certainly not going to make them poorer if this is what they are using.

but from what the news is saying, the Ukraine-Russia war is soon to end. they know Ukraine has nothing left to fight, they were even conscripting women already.  and so Switzerland will host a peace conference this June. they'd probably just talk about what Ukraine has to give up. that's the cost of war.
238  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Have you tried Pre-Market Trading? on: April 13, 2024, 10:45:40 PM

looks like this will trigger a lot of projects going to do pre-market trading. i'm not understanding it completely lol but its always the same early investors still. say you bought and because you didn't have the tokens yet you can't sell either.  what would the team do to the funds, use them to pump?  and what guarantees the token will be sent to these early investors in time?  this could still be another method to scam.
239  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Few days to 4th Bitcoin Halving on: April 13, 2024, 09:16:28 PM
yes, we're going to see another rally in a few weeks maybe. there is just a crash in price though. i think this is because of the war that is currently breaking in the Red Sea again. talk about the timing where it really needs a crisis for the price to go down.

the bull market will not end sooner. its already written in the cycle that every halving the next will be bull run. we'll be seeing another run some say it will be a supercycle.
240  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is LTC dead? on: April 13, 2024, 07:38:57 PM
in a time when tokenization is becoming common, LTC's popularity is getting slimmer.  it is still alive there used to be a big community in LTC with a forum but they shut down the forum so it's hard to say where they spend the LTC.

there was a discussion somewhere in the forum saying it is more logical to have LTC ETF than ETH since LTC is the same as BTC which is not considered a security. while many would agree to it, there are just more institutions that are filing ETH ETF.
