1181  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the drive that makes women go into gambling? on: September 20, 2023, 06:39:36 PM
peer pressure isn't one?

in my country, there are lots of women mostly playing bingo or cards every day in their favorite corner. they are up to gossip around the neighborhood but it would be pointless to go home without making money. It is an opportunity to make money who would pass that?
1182  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can Gambling affect your relationship? on: September 19, 2023, 05:34:06 PM

whatever you do it always affects relationships. gambling will always do especially if the family is already tight with money with the current condition of the economy, your wife would be demanding more of the money to be spent on food, children's needs, and utility bills.

you can't just spend recklessly these days. if $5 is already a cause of the fight, you might as well just look for another job to add to your source and stop gambling.
1183  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can money be saved in gambling sites? on: September 05, 2023, 06:12:32 PM

this thread reminds of me of what happened to Stake recently where they just got hacked. not sure if the coins of the users were also compromised but hopefully not after all Stake is very rich and can refund all.

but what happens if it weren't stake.com? if it was just a casino that isn't very well known and only a few thousand in their budget for refunds then you lost your coins as if you are scammed.
1184  Other / Off-topic / Any one buys in the auctions on Fragment? on: September 04, 2023, 04:05:46 PM

i did get some offer if i would sell my telegram username to them but i have no trust in the escrow they suggest.  auctioning it on fragment.com i think will make the exchange smooth.
has anyone tried it and got thousands of TONcoin (TON)?
1185  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: is Stunna dead ??? Primedice n Stake spoke person. on: September 04, 2023, 03:06:14 AM

maybe you are just not worth replying to. he owns a casino, he has a life. his world doesn't just revolve around bitcointalk.  if i was asked to give a million for nothing, you're definitely not seen anymore.  now that you declare him dead, good luck finding someone who'll give you a million.  Grin

strawweight is not her natural weight class if you compare her to her previous opponents, namajunas is too big for that division. she is right where she is right now. she just caught the bad luck this time. any excruciating pain will affect the condition of a fighter such as this pinky. but fiorot is doing the same strategy, she is too big for this fly, this is just to boost her streak and once she clears the fly division and no one challenges her, she will also move up.

1188  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What are the differences between these wallets? on: August 28, 2023, 02:45:17 PM
I am still yet to understand the concept of open/closed wallet, software/hardware wallet, online/offline wallet. I keep getting them mixed up whenever I try to have a grasp of them.

they don't need explanation as they are what they are.

open wallet means if they are opensource which means the codes are open for everyone to see.
close wallet means, its not open for everyone to check whether there is a back door to it.

the rest of the wallet means it is what it is.
1189  Economy / Economics / Re: Blackrock invest in ukraine on: August 25, 2023, 08:15:01 AM

i don't see it a reason for war to end. wherever BlackRock invests, it destroys a country to build smart cities. what blackrock got was the contract to rebuild the country after the war but before they may be able to do that is to first destroy it all.

destroying it all will make them more profit which is what normally investors want.

1191  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul Vs Nate Diaz boxing Aug 5th on Dazn PPV on: August 03, 2023, 08:44:23 PM
~
I doubt that a victory will sway the people's view in how he got defeated against Tommy Fury, a true boxer, and not just some random UFC star that wanted to have another money by making some rubbish fight in a ring where they don't have any expertise on it.
The fight against Tommy Fury, it was not a one sided slugfest either, it was a split decision and the referee made some stupid decisions as well during the fight and Jake Paul was able to score a knockdown but Tommy Fury landed more punches and hence a fair outcome.

The face off between Jake Paul and Nate Diaz just happened and the funny thing is that there was a brawl between the security guards  Cheesy.

Here is the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Sa1FEbERTk

i thought i see it coming nate rushing forward to throw a right cross now that he found a reason to thrash jake for insulting conor.
can't hear what they are saying but jake is hiding behind a wall of guards and calls nate pussy while nate forgot his weeds. he focused on that guy in the middle. this is the usual scene on WWE. yay! getting out of UFC pays off still.
1192  Economy / Services / Re: [CFNP] Mixin Safe - Decentralized Bitcoin Custody Solutions | Review Campaign on: August 03, 2023, 08:18:09 PM
Here's mine:

As instructed, I followed the user guide whose first suggestion is to use the Mornin key to create Mixin Safe. It's the most logical for me since I don't wanna turn on a Bitcoin core that has to update nor would use Ledger for a new app. Not the usual I guess but I chose to download the APK for Android to test. It's not recommended to download APK but I feel brave for doing so and yeah I did it and it's the easiest to do just like installing the Mixin messenger.

It's connecting to Mixin Safe Dashboard that is making this app a lot weirder because I thought having Mornin Key and Mixin Messenger is all I need. As it turns out, a user needs to scan a code to link their account to the Mixin Safe dashboard.

It must be related to phones old phone models because my problem started when my scan doesn't work. Kelly the chat support is very patient in guiding me, this is something she must have faced every now and then for she knew the team is still developing the product. She had to ask what my operating system was and what browser I'm using. It must have been a common problem. But after trying it out on different browsers, the scan worked when I browse https://safe.mixin.zone/dashboard with Chromium browser and I finally linked my Mixin messenger to the Mixin Safe. Chromium is different from Chrome by the way. I tried on Firefox is also didn't work but it worked on Chromium.

I began to understand the purpose of the Mixin Safe when I saw the lines "The best solution for Inheriting Bitcoin". Who wouldn't want to pass his wealth to his sons and daughters?
When I scanned Mixin Login, it says "Provide the general public with state-of-the-art Bitcoin custody solutions." It's not actually for Mixing Bitcoin which is the first impression for some people just when they see the name of this project.

Once a Mixin Safe is created, you can not add another member to it. This should be emphasized before a user finalizes his New Safe creation. Maybe a little popup window reminding the user about adding a contact or someone in the Safe he is creating. Therefore you need to create another Safe in case you want to add another member like your brothers, sons, and daughters.

I did try to create another Safe with a few contacts I added using the Mixin IDs of the users here but then again, there is the need to upgrade my plan for that $2 I paid for the upgrade was meant only for 1 Mixin Safe. The upgrade for you to be able to create 5 Mixin Safe costs $8/year.

Expectation:
I'm hoping to see the team would add altcoin network one day when a user creates a New Safe like the ETH or BNB. These must be something in their mind since the Mornin Key have a list of tokens on it and even in paying for the Mixin Safe upgrade, they also accept altcoins in fact I paid mine in EOS with their weird memo tag that I did have to scan as well.

I think plans should not be limited to one year only. They should be offering a 3-5 year plan instead of offering a 5 Safe for Elite plan which cost $8/year. These plans will be worry-free for users, doesn't need to keep tabs every year. A safe for a small company with 10 employees having their funds in BTC, I guess the Mixin Safe will be useful and will be for long term as well.

As for now, only a few wallets can be used for Mixin Safe like the Morning Key, Bitcoin Core, and Ledger. Not all Bitcoin users are using these wallets. If they want more adoption of Mixin Safe, they would need the popular ones to connect to it like the Trezor, Electrum, and Exodus.

Conclusion:
Mixin Safe is for now a Beta. I think there are lots of people who will be using it since many of us wants to share their wealth with the members of the family. The owner key and members key is all that's needed for everyone can spend the coins in the safe. Also as advertised, the project will likely be the way in handing out the birthright of their kids without having to deal with lawyers.

1194  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about iris scanner scenario in worldcoin network? on: July 30, 2023, 06:09:24 PM

or like the minority report movie where tiny robots check the iris of the people living in one building and those who refuse will be executed by these robots. this world coin is really like the sci fi movie come true but what do we know we are already living the scifi earth.

everyone is even serious a whole bunch of lawmakers have a hearing about UFO existence and that the government was hiding the alien technology.  Vatican says nothing.

1196  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ADVICE]Boy Wins $46k from Sports Bet but Can't Tell Strict Religious Parents... on: July 29, 2023, 03:35:49 PM
probably Islam. it's the only religion i know that despises gambling so much especially if the father has strong values.
but if it's something else. they can tolerate gambling and just go on taking the money. with the current situation of the world economy and people losing jobs. it's hard to resist that $46,606.
1197  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Other Things You Can Bet on Aside Sports and Casino Games on: July 26, 2023, 07:47:23 PM

not totally sports but they are listed in the events of bookmakers. every year i think there are threads that will be created for the Oscars awards just like Presidential Elections which every 4 years another will come up.

the most famous in my country is cockfighting, the government somehow makes it illegal but we're still betting it live on the arena and even online.
1198  Economy / Economics / Re: Would you consider moving abroad? on: July 24, 2023, 06:57:07 PM
As I head of family with a kid, I would consider moving abroad when I wont be able to earn and feed my family, to a country where I would be able to provide my family all necessary. I think this is all a matter of money. I am not a person that is a fan of surviving, I prefer to give myself and family comfort. Maybe also a war is the reason I would move abroad, but in all other ways, I think I wont move.

That is completely understandable mate and I share your thoughts as being the head of the family, it's never been easy specially if there are some times that we fell short to our ends meet and so the question will struck us again if it's already time to move towards a much better country so that we can provide more for our family and give them a much comfortable life because it's our duty give these things to them. And just like you, I think we can still manage even without moving to a different country.

that will also be a good reason to work abroad. leaving your family behind is just not worth though. some kids of our time are not so close to their parents and are often influenced by the wrong crowd. young kids in my country where parents are working abroad are often the ones living a good life but are also the troubled kids.

parents often regret their decision to go abroad because they don't have a close relationship with their kids.
1199  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The moral side of the grain deal on: July 24, 2023, 05:35:04 PM
what was agreed as far as i know was that they are to be allowed to export Ukraine and Russian grains. but the rest of EU blocks it because they only want Ukraine grains. but this is not what they were trying to deal with so the deal is off as they primarily agreed to allow Russian's grain as well.

i bet that information was not reported as well in the media. but says Russia wants the rest of the world to go hungry
1200  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is politics everyone's business? on: July 23, 2023, 05:45:33 AM
It is inseparable from everyday life, politics has become part of the journey of life. Politics is a way of getting something, every citizen must learn political science so that they are not mistaken in interpreting it.

If politics is only as simple as elections, it will always be self-defeating because of it. Awareness is needed to advance the country consciously in politics, so that no one is harmed.

like its said, politics is everyone's business, you gotta know who your friends are because you never know, they do have enemies that will also be your enemies by just being affiliated with your friends.  you can compare this to countries in which you will need to take sides because not taking sides may mean you are an enemy.

corporate politics is the worse. the workplace is not a good place to play around with politics but its does happen all the time.
