221  Economy / Gambling / Re: justbit.io asks for KYC (their site say NO KYC) then confiscates my winnings on: March 13, 2024, 10:29:07 PM
I guess before we sign up and use a site, we need to check if they have a license, and if they have a license we should assume that eventually they'll ask for a KYC because they are regulated.
The casino in question has a valid license and they state in their ToS that they may ask for kyc. The question is why they insist on promoting themselves as a non-kyc crypto casino! This is a blatant lie.
We may find them some excuses and understand it if they only impose it on high-risk players like those who use the casino to hide their criminal activities (money laundering and such). But asking every user who makes a withdrawal request to verify his identity for no valid reason is unacceptable.
That is misleading and that is also shows how lying and not trustworthy this kind of gambling site,
while there are still victims yet each gamblers must not only check their banners but instead check their
TOS because those are changes that they wanted to implement .
and for me this is how stupid this kind of casinos must never be trusted because of their attitude .

The reflects the reputation of the casino, I know they may advertise that they are a non KYC casino but us gamblers has to ensure if that is really true. Like I mentioned, we should check if they regulated or not, and assume they may require KYC if they are regulated.

There's always a crosschecking on our end and not just believe on the advertisements they are making that will provide us comfort since they all point out the TOS that we sign up during the registration process. Yes, they lie, we can contest on that, but the damage has already been done, we chould have avoided it if in the first place we are well aware and assume that this casino is lying, we don't trust liers, right?
222  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you believe in savings or investment on: March 12, 2024, 11:53:11 PM
The problem is not everyone has the ability to invest and not everyone has the courage to invest when we all know that the results are not fixed and mostly we end up losing than yielding profits. That’s why a lot of us prefer saving more than investing despite of the fact that there is only little interest add to our savings.

What people need is the right education and more exposure to investment and its profits, so that people will be more motivated to take extra miles and take some risks than just staying in their comfort zone and gain nothing in the end.
223  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Joining a Trading Competition to Flex My Skills in the Bull Market on: March 12, 2024, 10:51:11 PM
They're actually good to test your trading skills. I don't join any as I can say that I am not a good trader but if you think that you are then it's a way to prove yourself and showcase your trading skills.

IMHO, it's not about the prize or whatnot there. But it's about on how you'd be able to defeat the other traders and see who's the best and as well as the experience that you'll get from there.

Another thing is you enjoy the competition, win or lose.
Yes, trading competition might be a perfect outlet to showcase your trading skills and to learn as well from your opponents skills and strategies. But always stay trading on the amount you are comfortable of losing. Regardless if it’s a win or lose, it would not matter that big since the experience alone can certainly change and improve your trading skills and strategies. So don’t miss this opportunity if you think you have that exceptional trading skills. Learn not to be fearful, but to be greedy and confident as well.
224  Other / Archival / Re: Are investors investing in Bitcoin at ATH now are fools ? on: March 11, 2024, 11:54:58 PM
Are investors investing in Bitcoin at ATH now are fools ?  Is there chance of major correction from here as prices have already peaked now.
Actually they still  have the chances. For me, this ATH is  not the end of the Bitcoin price will be in the bullrun. It is not stupid, only quite late. But, nothing to regret. As long as they have known the idea and going to invest in Bitcoin, at least, without any doubt and panic, they still have the chances to take profits.

For, we are still not in the peak of the bullish era, we are heading for  this. So, the chances for rising up again, still very high.

We know that Bitcoin halving is still not happened yet, so, why should blame them with this word? Nothing to late. Just go on and make your own financial management when investing in crypto. Bitcoin - to - the - moon
Irregardless of its price, as long as one decides to chose bitcoin over altcoins, there will always be high chances  for them to benefit from their investment in the long run. Even if bitcoin reaches its peak, but the fact that there will be another bitcoin bull run in the next years, then hodling bitcoin for long term will always be worth the risk and wait.

Just don’t get tempted with FOMO and panic selling. It’s normal to expect some price correction after a big spike, but what is unusual is when you start selling even at a lower position which will definitely make you a big loser in the end.
225  Economy / Gambling / Re: justbit.io asks for KYC (their site say NO KYC) then confiscates my winnings on: March 10, 2024, 10:17:31 PM
Sad to see this you let them get your money just like that but anyways its your choice not to give what they want since maybe your the type of guy that value your privacy over the money. So I guess this is constant reminder to anyone that they should not be fooled by No KYC needed claims by a casino and its really better to read there TOS since you may know everything that might possible to implement so people would not get surprised about sudden things that they don't like to ask.
There are many, many people out there who value their privacy over everything else and op is just one of them. Everyone needs to remember the fact that any crypto gambling site except decentralised ones can ask for KYC at any point of time period.
I guess before we sign up and use a site, we need to check if they have a license, and if they have a license we should assume that eventually they'll ask for a KYC because they are regulated. They might not ask the start but we have to be aware of that. Sometimes people who promote a site will just make false advertisements just to attract gamblers, but what really in the TOS is the valid one, and that TOS will not stay forever, it could based on the discretion of the operator, and there's nothing we can do but to comply.

Only those truly decentralized casino does not require a KYC, but how confident are we using them?

I don't know what you mean in that bolded text but hopefully you didn't include this forum which does something negative to you.
You misunderstood him. He meant to say that there are many sites like this forum where he can warn people to stay away from the Casbit group.
Agree, that's the correct interpretation.  Smiley
226  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online Gambling : Next Generation Challenges on: March 10, 2024, 09:00:27 PM
This is a good idea and a welcome development. Gamblers can now be able to enteract with each other while gambling online with their social ID connected. However, I think it would be very risky because it would lead to gambling addiction as losing games would be the last resort of gamblers and would want to continue gambling till they win which the possibility is minuit.

Not only that, if a gambler wins big and his or her identity being revealed as it is connected to the social networks, the gambler might be at risk so therefore, gamblers should be given the option to choose if they want their social media 🆔 revealed or not so as not to put them in danger as the case may be.

I think it's a bad idea if we connect our gambling accounts to social media, because it will invade our privacy. Everyone will know when we win or lose, it looks very bad to me. Just doing KYC is annoying, especially when it comes to social media, it will make us naked and anyone can see it

I think this idea is too utopian because technically it doesn't mention how to increase sociality in gambling, how to target the right gambling users, and what breakthroughs he will make in detail.

You are truly a crypto guy, salute!... By the way, this kind of idea may not please everyone but most users probably would want to try this exciting development. At the very beginning we are a bit skeptical, but once we tried it, we will realize that this is what we need. Let the developers do their thing, I'm pretty sure they made a thorough study before they'll release such application.

After all, gambling is getting more and more popular, with this, it will connect people and it will only try to make us understand that gambling is not really bad as it seemed. I mean, some people sees it like a negative thing because it destroys people's live, but it was not gambling that made it possible but it's the addiction, so it's a big misconception that needs to be corrected.
227  Economy / Gambling / Re: Which Casino and Sportsbook have the best UI? Which others can improve? on: March 10, 2024, 01:24:52 PM
Before saying my opinion about which casino and sportsbook have the best User Interface and want to say that what basis a said a casino that have the best user interface. And the fact is I always check how their user interface is friendly to their user. Like easy to understand the games easy to play games, easy withdrawal systems etc. So from these fact I love stake, duelbits, roll bits.
I think most of the casinos I've been using have a good UI because this is one of the things users are looking for and every responsible Casino would want to built a good UI for there platform so that users can enjoy the graphic design and easily find the kind of games they are interested in to bet on. If op is a tech guy and want to read or pm projects team about this, nothing bad but many of the casinos I have been seeing in the internet have a very good UI.
Most of the casinos in bitcointalk that has been running a promotions have good UI. They say that the look of a casino will reflect its reputation, if the UI is good, that means the casino is legit as they can afford to create a good one. Also, seeing casinos being promoted in the forum would only say that they have an extra budget for marketing, hence it can easily be assume that they have a attractive site to market, otherwise if they can't develop their UI to be attractive, they are just wasting money running a promotion in a big community like bitcointalk.
228  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Drake loses $615k bet on Joshua-Ngannou bout on: March 10, 2024, 12:25:20 PM
Drake thought Francis Ngannou would win but Anthony Joshua knocked out Ngannou in the second round of the match of the heavyweight showdown in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Drake lost $615000.

https://www.thecable.ng/drake-loses-615k-bet-on-joshua-ngannous-bout/amp?/drake-loses-615k-bet-on-joshua-ngannous-bout

He is wrong again, and his losses have gotten bigger. I hope it's not a big deal for him since he is making a lot of money through his career, but if he is a compulsive gambler, the time will come when he will be living on the street. What's the reason for publicizing this kind of loss? Is he promoting another gambling site aside from Stake?

You should check the bet slip the is shared in the article. It was a stake betting slip so it's more likely just a promotion or a sponsored bet. Though we can't confirm since it's his money, but for normal bettors especially those who are betting huge money will just keep it as a secret. Here, Drake loves to published his betslips and with stake on it, then I assume it's just for the promotion as people will be convince that stake are willing to accept big bets like that range, or even bigger.

Quote
Anyway, regardless, for the majority of us, it's still a huge amount of money, so it's normal that we will buy into this news, and we will feel that he is wasting his money. No one has infinite money, although he has more than $100 million in net worth, but it's not that big compared to his bets, which are close to a million dollars.

If that was only a sponsored bet then his money will not be affected, in fact it might be his networth that will increase from the earnings of that kind of promotion he is making.
229  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: March 10, 2024, 11:27:20 AM
Anyway, let's go back to the game, the first game is over and Meralco loss, no Newsome, that's the reason why...
The loss was really huge for the team since he is their best player, without him they will struggle as they don't have a lot of players that could bring some firepower to win. Low scoring game, should have favored the Bolts buts since Newsome was out, they were not able to do that. I wasn't also aware that he was out, you know, PBA does not have an update regarding that or I just didn't check, i was just curiuos why they were the underdog seeing the live betting odds.

Edit : I have checked the boxscore fo the game and I saw his name on the list, Newsome actually played 32 minutes but only contributed 15 points.
You can check again .https://pba.ph/recap?match=2417609

On the 2nd game, it will be between Ginebra and Phoenix, I have already risk my money on Phoenix to win, and have some specials for bigger odds, Phoenix to win by 6-10, and 11+... Either one of the bets will hit, I'm still in profit, so hopefully Ginebra will lose.
Like the first game of the Ginebra, they are leading again, but good luck to your bet, still plenty of time to  play, so not yet sure if Ginebra will win.

Hopefully you'll hit that winning margin range.
230  Economy / Gambling / Re: Share trusted VPN Friendly crypto casinos on: March 09, 2024, 04:32:03 PM
If we are to even consider the replies on this thread on recommendations for the platforms that accept the use of VPN, I don't think there are suggestions made and if any at all, they are not many, gambling platforms don't usually demand or take in the use of VPN for their website, but Incase we see some that allows for that, maybe they are just new in the business or doesn't have enough resources to employ for the measures that take care on that.
There are some regions that restrict gambling platforms and the only way we can jump the restrictions is to keep using VPN.
There are gambling platforms that would not ban your account if you are using VPN especially in regions that are not too strict like that.
Many of these gambling platforms want to make money and they need high flow of traffic and the only way is to accept VPN except the user is carrying dubious and suspicious transactions. Apart from this, using VPN is no an issue in some gambling platforms.
It should not be an issue if you are gambling with a casino that has already keep a good reputation and has been running their business for awhile. Some may see it as a risk that their account might get associated to something or would violate a TOS. This topic is good as we discussed the possibilities or consequences of using a VPN to hide our IP, and as what I had observed, there are some stating it's not advisable but I haven't really read a lot information where users accounts get compromised by simply using a VPN.
231  Economy / Gambling / Re: [SOLVED] Betnomi | Project status & Refund Plan! on: March 09, 2024, 03:55:49 PM
Just posting here to confirm we got fully paid from BetNomi, thanks for your honesty and for getting back to us about this, it's highly appreciated.
It's good to hear that your issue got fully resolved, but I have no idea why you are thanking them in this context since they took quite sometime to get back to you while you stayed patient all along.

They should be the ones thanking you and other victims for staying patient and not creating a huge ruckus.

Both are grateful for what happen, at least they came back to settle their problems, unlike other gambling sites who would just easily go for an easy route which is the exit scam. You don't see a lot of casinos fixing their problem, so someone who are waiting to get their problem solved and finally got solved, thanking the casino is not a big deal.
232  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Anthony Joshua vs. Francis Ngannou - March 9 on: March 09, 2024, 12:30:10 PM
That was unfortunate. I can’t remember the last time I saw someone fold like that.
There's no resistance he just comes in and his defense is open, this is the first career knockout loss of Ngannou I'm sure many people lose their money on this fight I thought that AJ chance to win is through a decision but we never expect a very early knockout.
Ngannou was in trouble throughout the fight watching in the first round I just knew something was not right with Julius.
Although Joshua told him not to leave boxing with this loss I'm sure he'll contemplate if boxing is really for him or if he'll have to go back to MMA.
It was a well-deserved victory for Anthony Joshua because he showed Ngannou superiority that he owed the boxing ring before he managed to join boxing from MMA.

I believe that Ngannou will not think of leaving boxing back to MMA despite his early defeat to Anthony Joshua. Why will he ever think of making such a move in the first place? Whereby throughout his stay in MMA, he hasn't earned up to $30 million that boxing has given to him in just two fights.
That's the kind of "big winner" he had in his short stint in boxing so far. Just like everyone else, I am also not thinking that he will continue this career after what happened. It look like a mismatch, I hope that the fans that came in to see him were not so disappointed and just accept the result.

Ngannou made the right decision to fight AJ, it's just that AJ's skills are way higher than him, and that is the standard Ngannou has to achieve which I think he can't. So yeah, let's move on and may Ngannou consider leaving boxing the soonest.

Every great boxer has some point faced defeat in their boxing career and they didn't quit because of that, but instead they become the underdog example Anthony Joshua, Wilder, etc

What is expected from Ngannou is to pick up himself and prepare to be a better version of himself in ways to defend himself properly to withstand deadly punches thrown at him in a boxing fight. With that, he will be fine

Unfortunately for Ngannou he is not a great boxer since his record is 0-2... People are just hyping his first fight resulting to promoters wanting to see him, I hope you guys didn't fall into the trap by betting on Ngannou with that very attractive odds.
233  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I don't understand you people... on: March 08, 2024, 11:56:56 PM
~
I'm seriously upset because a couple of such  " smart "  people just ruined my chance to make up loss... I would like to kick them somewhere!

Easy to say, but difficult to implement.
Trust me, it's easy to say "I will buy it at the bottom" but the truth is, you don't know when it make a reversal.

Are you upset with those smart people? Why not be one of them instead so you can make the most profit like what they're doing? Kicking them for what? Because they're smart enough to gain profit while you OP, are losing your money. That's how life is. Some will go up, and some will go down. What's worse is that there are people out there who criticize other people because of what they're doing. I didn't know that being "smart" was a bad thing already. Cheesy You can say like "I'll buy when it stops going down." but do you know when it will stop going down?

Just focus on yourself OP instead of criticizing these "smart" people that you're saying. Instead of focusing on criticizing on them, focus on being one of them.
Well said mate. They say if you can’t beat them, then be one of them. I guess that will help you OP to analyze that not all in the market follow a certain rule. Sometimes we tend to break rules in order to save ourselves from losing our future profits. If you want to stick to your own rule OP, then just follow what you want and never leave negative comments to other people. Remember that what may work for you will not work for them, that’s why never expect that everyone in the market will follow the same path. Where they think they can be successful, that’s where they’ll focus on doing.
234  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Just a friendly Bitcoin friend reminder - High price = more scams on: March 08, 2024, 10:56:30 PM
Yes I heard the news and the notification of the hike of the price to the All Time High (ATH) today and I was amazed to heard that because I was expecting that to happen after the bull market. And also this has been discussed for a long time about the scammers roaring around the internet and looking for whom to devour. So avoid all the influencers and any link that is suspicious. Only visit legit domain and not a referral links.

Scammers use to send spam emails and if you don't know them, and click the link then your system would be infected with virus and your coins will be stolen. So avoid all those things.
If you don’t fall in their spam emails and phishing links, that won’t guarantee that you are free from being scammed. Scammers will definitely find new ways of strategies in this bullish market just to get us up in this crazy season. So it’s actually a must to be more wary and cautious when it comes to securing our investments, monitor your wallet most often and check if your coins are still there or have suddenly vanished. And most importantly, always keep up with the latest information about scamming and hacking so you can also prepare yourself for that.
235  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: March 08, 2024, 02:47:45 AM
Finally we will be seeing strong teams playing today, they are back after a long rest.

We have these double header, First game Northport vs Phoenix, and 2nd game is Rain or Shine vs Ginebra.
I haven't check the spread yet but I'm incline to bet on the well rested team, forget about the rust got Ginebra and Phoenix, will be taking a parlay on the moneyline.

Hope to see a blowout win for Ginebra as I'm considering the spread as well.
236  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: dice9.win – simple, fast and provably fair crypto games on: March 08, 2024, 01:51:17 AM
As for the minimum bets, it's 0.1 BNB

Minimum is on the high side imo -- it's trading for around 40 bucks. I would suggest a much lower amount so it's more accessible to people.

Also agreeing with the ANN thread suggestion. A nice infographic as a headstart would be nice but since a signature campaign has started, I guess it's on the way?

More better if they can lower down the minimum bet amount so that people can test their casino using small bet and they don't need to doubt for risking some high amount just to test them.
I agree with this, target more on the volume than the amount of bet. When the minimum bet is affordable and the marketing is working, it will result to a growth of the business. What they are doing is good, they introduce the company to bitcointalk at the right timing (bull run), so I'm hoping they'll find success here and this community will help them grow.

Also much better if they can move this thread to gambling section board so that he can get better interaction from gamblers since in this boards there are less bettors go here and I believe this section get less visibility compare if he post this ann thread on its right section. Although they already launch their campaign then its good also if they do all necessary actions to catch the attention of the gamblers.

This has been replied above. I think it was previously listed in gambling board but was move here since they don't accept bitcoin.

237  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Am i bad to this friend if i refuse to loan him some money in bad economy on: March 07, 2024, 11:50:35 PM
It’s not bad to reward yourself with luxury items but only on a minimal amount. You can’t just spend all out and then suffer the next day. While buying new things can be quite rewarding, but if your mindset is to be financially secured and independent in the future, prioritize your investment first over life’s luxury. You can have all the luxuries later on when you are gaining huge profits already, so be patient and persevere for now. Sacrifice today and you will get big rewards for yourself in the future.
238  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Take Profits! Its important! on: March 07, 2024, 10:59:47 PM
Take profits simply because it’s everyone’s goal in the market. While hodling also serves a good option, but hey we won’t be hodling for the rest of our lives. At the end of the day, all we need are profits and not those coins who will lose eventually their value in the market.

However, know when to take profits and know when to keep hodling. But as a friendly advice, take time to sell but never sell all your coins. There’s always a lot of bull runs to come, so if you can’t maximize it this year, then prepare for the next year.

Edit: Another second-half collapse from leading to losing double-digits.  Lips sealed

This team is so bad... Damn, I thought they are gonna have a blowout win at home, up 20 points IIRC but ended up losing 10 points. That's why they can't criticize the Pistons because they are now on the same level. Kuzma once said " at this level, I don't want to be in that team", referring to the Pistons. LOL.

Sorry mate, you bet on the wrong side, there's no safe bet now although it looks like a winner early.
240  Economy / Gambling / Re: JustCasino.io | Get the Best Crypto Casino Experience on: March 07, 2024, 04:08:07 AM
It's revenue. They have lost a significant amount already in 3 months. They are quite experience in the industry as they have 2 fiat business, there's no way to go anything wrong. Price fluctuation has nothing to do with the decision as far as I know.
Maybe they haven't gotten the success with their crypto casino as they expected. All the established and popular crypto gambling sites have sportsbook now. Nowadays, it isn’t easy for a new casino to attract the bettors with just 3rd party provider games. Some in-house games & sports betting features are also needed to attract the gamblers and generate revenue. JustCasino has lagged behind in these sections.
But they can improve it if they want to be that competitive, we don't know the exact reason why they stop their crypto casino but for sure it does not affect the totality of the business since the fiat casino are still active. Only time will tell if they'll come back or not, but I have a feeling that they'll come back in the future as this huge market in the crypto space is just hard to resist, you just gotta be ready when you try to compete among the popular caisinos here.
