1201  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Common Online Gambling Fraud on: January 26, 2023, 08:35:47 PM
I would like to add another point to that list.

7. social engineering (Soft begging)

I have seen a lot of times people in the casinos chat telling some really sad stories with the intention of touching other users' hearts and that way receiving some coins. We can call it the shame speech.

Sometimes it works and other times they just get ignored but is a practice that has become more common nowadays, and users must be careful with this practice.
Well, if that is the case, then they should not resort into gambling as it will only make them fall into more losses, that will force them to create more sad stories as well. Although I have not experienced and even witnessed this, but if they are here for begging to receive coins, then they should be banned from gambling, and let them find stable jobs that will give them fixed income.
1202  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Reason why I will never help anyone to invest in crypto on: January 26, 2023, 07:29:53 PM
...If you are in same position like me, no matter how much you like someone or want the best for them do not help them to invest in crypto, they are lazy asses who can't get anything done on their own, and this type of game I don't play it because, in the end, you will become their enemy...

If they do not want to invest independently, but only want to make a profit, then they need to be recommended to use the services of a management company. In this case, the risks of losing money will be much lower, since professionals will be engaged in investing, but their work will have to be paid.
But that won’t make them good investors in the long run as they become even more dependent and more reliable to other party. However, I would advise them instead if they don’t understand crypto yet, then never enter crypto investments. Instead, they can DYOR as much as they can because that will build their knowledge and understanding on crypto. But if they are lazy enough to do that, and just want others to do it for them, that’s their choice, but they also have to paid their services.
1203  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Too accessible of online casino grows addiction faster? on: January 25, 2023, 09:49:24 PM
Depending on how the gambler understands the meaning of gambling itself, sometimes it is true that with easy access with mobile phones we can gamble at any time and get addicted, but if he can control himself not to become an addict, it won't have any effect.
For example, I like to play gambling using my cell phone instead of having to go to a place to play gambling because the ease of access makes me comfortable playing gambling, but that doesn't mean that every time I play gambling, sometimes when I have free time I play gambling and it's not a priority, after all I'm not I'm unemployed because I still have other work to do, it's a powerful way to keep me from becoming an addict  Wink
Everything lies on how the gambler takes discipline in gambling. If he gambles because that is his hobby, surely he will get addicted eventually, but if he will only gamble at his own spare money, when that amount is used up, he will have no reason to gamble more. That is better way to prevent from gambling addiction, setting a budget limit for gambling.
1204  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Two Types Of Traders - My Personal Classification on: January 25, 2023, 08:45:04 PM
Based on personal experiences in trading, personal research and observations, ive on my own personal terms, come to the conclusion that, there is two types of trader, and how risky trading be for an individual, depends largely on the type of trader such an individual is..
So without wasting much time, lets dive in..

My Two Types Of Traders Are -

  • The Awakened trader
  • The Blind trader

The awakened trader is one who took their time to study all that there is to trading, including the rudiments, intrics and mechanics, they can read charts, they can effectively do technical and fundamental analysis, they know how important news drives the market and they follow news bumper to bumper.
I personally will chose to see trading as an art rather than science, art can be mastered, and so is trading, those who master the art of trading, we call them professional traders, trading is their profession, this is how they carter for themselves and their family, they are the awakened type of traders, there are very few traders in this category.

The blind trader on the other hand, are traders who guess-trade, they buy Bitcoin, not because they are sure it will go up in the next minute, but because they are hoping/guessing it will, some times, they guess right, but other times, their guess is wrong, trading is like sports betting for them, it is BUY vs SELL playing the match, they watch out for which side other people are contributing more to, are more people buying?, they will buy(FOMO), are more people selling, they will sell(FUD), they lack the will power to make there own original decision and stand by it, this is because they are not even sure of what they are doing, they are just guessing the market, this type of traders are the blind traders, there are very many traders in this category...

To upcoming traders, which category do you want to belong? its your decision to make.
Based on my personal experience, everyone started from being a blind trader and end up being an awakened trader. You will create trading mishaps when you are still a newbie but that is understandable since you are starting learning to trade. And as you go on trading and increasing your experiences, you become wise and more strategic, that’s why you are now an awakened trader that knows already how to trade smartly and lessen your mistakes and losses.
1205  Economy / Economics / Re: After Budgeting, How Do I Deal With Unexcepted Expenses? on: January 24, 2023, 09:57:23 PM
It depends what the "unexpected expenses" are. If it's overspending on stuff, then you need to discipline yourself with your spending. On the other hand, if they're like unexpected medical bills and stuff, then there's nothing you can do but to try to increase your income.

As for being discouraged — if you don't budget, you're likely going to be in a far worse situation if you didn't budget.
If you can’t increase your income, then it’s safer to just include those unexpected expenses in your budgeting. That is why we also need to save not just for savings alone, but also reserve funds too for emergency cases and unexpected problems that may arise. At least, we can always be prepared in everything that may happen out from our sight.
1206  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: THE ROLE OF BITCOIN IN EFFORTS TO HELP FLOOD AFFECTED COMMUNITIES on: January 24, 2023, 08:59:02 PM
This is a job well done; your kindness is acknowledged, and it is something that some people here are capable of. I wish you luck and hope you can continue the good work you've started.

I believe that people in that community will now take Bitcoin very seriously, even if some of them still believe Bitcoin is a scam, because they can now see the results of Bitcoin investment.
In fact, this could be an eye- opener to the people especially to the flood victims that bitcoin is never a tool to scam people but to help people instead. Through your actions OP, people will eventually realized that bitcoin  should never be banned because the profits can be very helpful in times like this. Thank you OP for your generosity and I hope you will continue what you have started together with bitcoin.
1207  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue - WBC and WBO 122 lbs bout - May on: January 22, 2023, 12:17:00 PM
Fulton vs Inoue betting odds here.

https://www.oddschecker.com/boxing/naoya-inoue-v-stephen-fulton/winner

Quote
Inoue 1.40
Fulton 3.00

Inoue is still the heavy favorite despite being a challenger only, it's a huge disrespect for the champion.
What do you think? is that 1.40 is still attractive to take or we will just bet on Inoue winning KO, probably that would give a better odds.
1208  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Errol Spence vs Keith Thurman on: January 22, 2023, 11:31:36 AM

As for this fight, it's done deal already, hopefully we can see a good fight or even upset win from Thurman, who knows.

It's not impossible to happen, Spence has not fought a boxer like Thurman, and although he had one lose he was never been dominated by his opponent in the ring, his loss to Manny Pacquiao was a close one, so I will not count Thurman out, I mean he still has something to prove and he can definitely upset Spence who is the heavy favorite.

This fight, it gives us real entertainment as Spence will surely be busy protecting himself and looking for the perfect timing to hurt Thurman.
I'm just a little worried about Thurman's weak spot, his body.
1209  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: January 22, 2023, 10:50:57 AM
Import of Rain or shine had a very bad game.

honesty, this is the first time I saw an import who are shooting very low.
https://fibalivestats.dcd.shared.geniussports.com/u/PBA/2229798/bs.html#

As you can see on the stats above, Qualls only made 3 shots of 22 attempts, that's only 13% Shooting percentage. very low.
1210  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Caleb Plant vs David Benavidez on: January 21, 2023, 07:35:35 PM

And since the fight is lock now, it's time for David to show what he is capable of against Caleb.

Maybe after he won, and calls out Alvarez, we shall see if Canelo will fight him next or go to an easy tune up fight against John Ryder.

Canelo is not that kind of a fighter, he would not go on a easy route, in fact, he tried to move up in weight and fight a champion, so I'm expecting that he will use his time very well and that being said, he will fight the winner of this bout.

Well, the truth is, Canelo Alvarez's situation now is somehow complicated because he just got his wrist done by a way of surgery. It is not that we're supposed to underestimate him because his next fight will likely be with John Ryder but he and his camp got a reason because Canelo needed an evaluation of his wrist to ensure that the tissues aren't that heavily affected, that said, he needed to take a tune-up fight with Ryder before fighting anyone else that got heavier name to see how will his wrist response with the fight first.
1211  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: January 21, 2023, 07:14:12 PM
When we thought that Kyrie is slacking and not leading the Nets since Durant is out, he finally made it his mission scoring 48 points and grab 11 rebounds. I myself was caught up betting against them in this game.

But he proved us wrong, and we all are trap. Claxton also had a good game, chipping in 20 points.

This game probably got us divided because I did throw some few spare bucks for the Jazz considering that they are more reliable and trusted when it comes to betting than the Nets now, especially while Kyrie seems inconsistent after Durant's injury, but earlier, he proved again that he is not someone who can be easily underestimated as he was just probably having a consecutive bad nights and adjusting to his role while Durant's out. Honestly, it was really unexpected.
1212  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: January 21, 2023, 02:44:12 PM
I’m really rooting for this match to finally happen, and now the audience will be more excited to witness the said match hopefully by April. My vote goes for Tank Davis, but I also want to witness how Ryan Garcia will perform in the ring given that his opponent is the crowd’s favorite so maybe this will create more challenge on him to give Tank his best shot so he can make this fight more profitable on his part.

I also like to see Davis beats Ryan Garcia since the latter keep on boasting the he can defeat Davis via knock out in just 2 rounds.

Ryan Garcia is a social media addict and says anything he wants to say but i think him saying that he would KO Davis is just part of selling this fight but i also do think that he could KO Davis if the latter would be careless like what he did to in his fight with Hector Garcia where he was hit with a lot of power shots, just lucky for him that Hector doesn't hit hard like Ryan does.

BTW, this fight if pushes through will be on April 15 not May so better if OP could change the title of this thread.

It could be that Davis will KO Ryan also.
It could be that Ryan is very confident in his skills. It's one thing to say things in public but actually doing it in the ring can solidify what he is saying.

They both have the power and thier fights don't always end in the 12th round but if it does and no one drops dead, you can bet your bottom $ that this rivalry will end in a series of matches.

Well, truth is, all we can do here is to speculate only and we can't really say who will come out as the winner because even if Tank Davis got a bit of upper hand because of his IQ inside the ring, we cannot also discount the fact and forget that they are both a KO specialist. So, in the end, it'll be the one who will give the most vicious punch at a timed phase but it won't be easy as most of them will get defensive most of the time due to the fact.
1213  Economy / Economics / Re: Another Boom for the crypto market. on: January 20, 2023, 09:59:59 PM
With governmental authorisation, Binance can now provide cryptocurrency services in Poland.

I think it's great that the worldwide community is supporting the cryptocurrency industry, this is a significant boost, and I think more nations will follow the present global trend.

https://www.binance.com/en/blog/ecosystem/binance-moves-forward-with-local-development-and-regulatory-compliance-in-poland-1233996135851733478
Binance is the most successful and leading crypto exchange all over the world. So it’s far to expect that it won’t be successful in Poland unless the government itself is giving it a hard time to start its business and offer cryptocurrency services. But I don’t see it that way based on the news, Binance is even fully supported worldwide and this could mean another huge success conquering Poland and all its citizens.
1214  Economy / Economics / Re: what is the key to your success investing in bitcoin.. on: January 20, 2023, 09:44:12 PM
everyone definitely wants to be successful in investing, especially in bitcoin. and of course it is not easy to achieve success in investing, even though it sounds easy to invest in bitcoin, for example as follows:

: buy at a low price sell at a high price.

: must hold strong, and do not sell it when the price drops.

but in reality there are so many people who sell when the price drops, even though they have to take the risk of loss.

I, who don't have much experience in bitcoin, want to ask what is the key to your successful investment in bitcoin?
and I want to ask if you have ever experienced investment losses in bitcoin?

I hope my post is useful for me and all in this forum.
If you have less experiences with bitcoin, then it’s less likely to make you a successful investor. Because we all know that experience will always be the best teacher not only when it comes to investments but certainly in all aspects of life. And also, discipline and patience, because if you don’t have that, even if you get a lot of profits from bitcoin but as long as you never secure your finances and you tend to be more greedy most of the time, still you will never be successful in the end.
1215  Economy / Economics / Re: What is your biggest obstacle to achieving financial freedom ? on: January 19, 2023, 10:01:09 PM
One of the biggest of achieving Financial Freedom has to do with once mindset, there is nothing impossible to achieve if you put your mind to it. So one has to be very positive when you want to get a change. The most most at times is not a problem when people have passion.

Secondly is failing to try new things, a trail and failure gives you a chance but not trying at all is as good as stupid. The environment and people you role with might also limit how you think and reacts.

One really needs a good mentor to help with guidelines with what to do ams what to avoid while trying to be financially stable.
Having a negative mindset will always be the biggest obstacle to attain financial freedom. Losses and failures are part of trading and investing so if you avoid that, you will never be good enough in the crypto market. Always remember that those who have succeeded today have been facing a lot of mistakes and failures in the past. But they focus on having a strong and right mindset that’s why they survived all the trials and achieved financial stability in the end.
1216  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Those who survived previous winter, please share some courage! on: January 19, 2023, 09:44:15 PM
Those who've seen previous bear markets, survived several winters, please share some hope and courage.
This is not the end, right? Smiley
Certainly, it's not the end of the world; neither is it of the crypto industry. At a time like this, filled with uncertainty and fear, you should maintain your cool. Don't panic, instead keep buying the dip with Bitcoin. I've experienced two full Bitcoin circles and I can confidently tell you that Bitcoin will come out better once the current bear season is over. Instead of fear and panic, buy whenever the market crashes.
Fear and panic are not helping at all. In fact, they will serve as the barriers so you will lost opportunities to earn and gain in the process. Instead, stay calm and patient despite of every market uncertainty that comes. If you do that, you will be able to think correctly your next steps in the crypto market and you will end up having wise decisions that will make you a winner in the market.
1217  Economy / Economics / Re: We are not out of the woods yet on: January 19, 2023, 09:16:59 PM
The strongest crypto holders out there have not given up and will not give up because they have been through the worst in the past. Until now, they can still survive, accumulate bitcoins and some potential altcoins, and wait for market reversal. They still believe that the crypto market will return to provide big profits for them so that they are still able to survive.

And even though the negative waves will still come, they will persist in achieving their goals, and so will we, who will continue to survive. Perhaps, this year or next is a good one for crypto, so we can see the market recover.
Long term holders should always have a strong mindset  and that they should not easily quit whenever the market stays bearish for long. That is why investing in crypto takes a lot of time gaining knowledge because if you only invest for profits, you will never survive in crypto market knowing how uncertain it is. Today might be bearish, and it could also happen next month or next year. That’s how uncertain the market is so it’s better to be always prepared so you can still survive whether the market gets bearish or bullish in time.
1218  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What could have Satoshi faced if he made himself known from the beginning on: January 18, 2023, 09:54:18 PM
I honestly never know what Satoshi thought about his privacy in bitcoin's early years [when bitcoin was not yet valuable]. We're only speculating about him right now, but he's too smart to keep that up until now. Whether he was male or female, we never really knew until recently.

Making himself famous only put him in danger, but I don't think Satoshi really thought about it in the first place, but quickly changed after bitcoin was in huge demand. Of course this is just my opinion, no need to argue because I'm just a bit logical.
No one would expect that bitcoin will go this far and maybe Satoshi is not an exception. His only goal by then was just to have freedom from fiat currency that’s why he end up inventing bitcoin. But let’s say if he’s known today, not all people will acknowledge him especially those government officials as they will question Satoshi why he invented bitcoin. And since it’s against the law, Satoshi might face his popularity inside the jail.
1219  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: It's a shame people still falling for this on: January 18, 2023, 09:31:02 PM
In this space nobody is a fool except you are totally new to crypto and you decide to take a step without doing research, how can a stranger send you their log in information for an exchange and tell you that they are entrusting you with their money and you believe?

How can someone have access to millions of dollars and you are the God sent stranger they can give the key to the millions and you are promised a share part? Do you work for the money?

You need to wise up, in this world today, people don't give up something without wanting something back, nothing is actually for free, so if someone contacted you on Twitter, Telegram or any social media platforms saying they can make you rich by helping them or they played dump as if they can't operate their own wallet or account they are 100% scammers.
That’s true. No one would guarantee profits unless you are not doing something for that. As it’s like there is no shortcut to success so you have to put a huge effort on yourself and never simply believe on the promises of strangers that they will offer you the wealth that they are experiencing right now. Always know that you reap what you sow, if you do nothing, then you have nothing to expect too. So work on it and stay away from all types of scammers.
1220  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you handle your losses on: January 18, 2023, 08:32:34 PM
If you are a gambler with discipline for sure that you will make a plan to make a gambling for your entertainment but if you are just a gambling who would like to prefer for a luck and have a budget losses is not in your vocabulary some people manage to win a lot with their risk and all of their risk-taking but of course not all the time it happens, it depends on the gambling habit still of the player, but for me ideal to have a set budget if you are just in the middle class to lower would like to play gambling because there's more use of money than taking the risk to win just my cent.
Of course, you would not lose too much if you stick on your budget for gambling. But in most cases, even if you set a budget, that won’t still be followed especially if you think you are lucky because you keep on winning your bets, so you decided to bet more and forget about your gambling limits. If you stay that way, you will always make huge losses from gambling because of your greed and lost of discipline.
