RE Masks. It may be you that is "going against science."
A recently completed research study by Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in cooperation with the Naval Medical Research Center and published in the New England Journal of Medicine has found that strict quarantine, tightly controlled social distancing, and continuous use of masks did absolutely nothing to contain the spread of COVID-19, and might even have increased its spread.

https://behindtheblack.com/behind-the-black/points-of-information/new-study-lockdowns-masks-are-useless-and-might-even-increase-covid-19-spread/

Come on man.  That's...a conspiracy blog. And it's misrepresenting the results of the research.

Here's the actual research:
https://www.nejm.org/doi/full/10.1056/NEJMoa2029717....

Afraid I'm not seeing much of a difference between the "conspiracy blog" conclusions and those in the NEJM.

Do you have an actual issue here, and if so what? The conclusions are pretty much the same I've had from (A) my past experience with environments where strict and proper mask use was absolutely necessary (B) personal observations of actual mask use in the last 6 - 8 months.

So my question to you is what are you arguing? You don't like/believe conclusions, you don't like the site, what?

....
Interesting. I read something as a joke, you take it as fact. Whatever. I notice you didn't answer my question about whether you'd actually read the Paris Climate Accord, so I presume from that that you have not.

So, you haven't showed how "unscientific" he is with your example of Masks, or Climate. Not that there was anything "scientific" about the Paris Climate Accord.

But I do agree with you, "you don't have to show how unscientific" he is.

223  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is planting trees actually good for the planet? on: November 17, 2020, 06:40:50 PM
One more thing came to my mind, as OP has pointed that some areas might become colder. If the climate is really getting hotter due to global warming it shouldn't be a problem if trees would make it colder, am I right? Also, do we really need deserts? If some of them became a bit colder thanks too trees and possibly a bit more moist, it wouldn't be so bad, especially when we think of the entire globe. It might make deserts more habitable.

You do know, I hope, that deserts are complete ecosystems?

Here in the USA we have created pretty nice cities right in the middle of deserts. I can think of at least three examples, Palm Springs, Las Vegas, Tuscon.

IIRC it was the widespread use of air-conditioning in homes that made this possible.

....
and then the deepness of the earth vegetal "crust" or layer is reduced... what they call canopy... a soy field is very small (height wise).
I'm not sure about a precise definition of earth's "vegetal crust" but you are wrong there. For a tree, the woody parts are essentially dead tubes, except for the inner bark layer. The green at the top is what's of interest, and if one stripped that and weighed it, would it weight more or less than a soy field?

we see it every day. republicans pretend to be anti-gov. yet they keep quoting government laws.
...

thats actually not true, the republicans are pro government, but they don't want to overregulate and confuse people

The saying in the US has always been, the Stupid Party vs the Evil Party. That makes Franky evil?

Nobody from the Democratic party made allegations ...

The best may be yet to come.

Not just masks. He also withdrew from the climate society, saying there's no climate change and that it's a hoax. Trump looked directly at the solar eclipse that happened quite a while ago. He doesn't understand basic science.

I attribute his lack of causing wars to his personal quality because the way he tweeted at 3 am, the way he tweeted what is going on in his life and the way he trolled, we can easily predict his mood and that he's more interested in stuffs about him than policies.

Anyways, it's time to move on. Hopefully both sides will come to common terms and live peacefully.

More propaganda and mindless parroting of misinformation, I see.

Have you actually read the text of the Paris Climate Accord? (I have.)

But you're good for a laugh.

Hopefully both sides will come to common terms and live peacefully.

https://www.fox26houston.com/news/calls-for-floyd-county-elections-director-to-resign-after-2600-not-counted

Some uncounted ballots in Georgia that give Trump a net 800 vote boost due to some error, apparently.

2600 votes not being counted is significant. This doesn't mean fraud unless it was done intentionally. This does mean someone fucked up.

This year's election will be remembered as the most rigged presidential election in the history of the United States. I would say that the votes should be recounted in all the 50 states and then audited by an independent third party. A part of the blame should go to the republican party as well. They should have prepared for this massive level of vote rigging and should have put observers at all the polling booths and counting centers. I understand that they were prevented from doing so in some places, but then this issue should have been highlighted and taken to the courts as soon as it happened.

I'm totally good with the whole mess being tossed out by the SC and the Congress voting the POTUS option.
229  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Trump ACCOMPLISHMENTS on: November 17, 2020, 12:45:58 PM
Trump is really a unique president. I don't think there will be any president like him. Other politicians are just boring. Even though I don't agree with Trump on many issues, I think he has still kept many of his campaign promises, and also being politically incorrect is also an achievement.

He has his flaws, maybe for which he has lost election, he handled the covid situation very badly, by not wearing mask and going against science on many issues which is dangerous.

But, he was too obsessed with himself to actually cause any damage (like wars) on other nations. I would surely say it was a peaceful term.

RE "Obsessed with himself"
But, he was too obsessed with himself to actually cause any damage (like wars) on other nations. I would surely say it was a peaceful term.

That's a very curious statement, attributing not starting any wars to a personality defect. I don't think you can show facts to support it.

RE "being politically incorrect is also an achievement. "
We could use A LOT MORE of that!

(A) Read the subject of the header.

(B) If that's not clear, read the post #1.

(C) Post.

Don't mindlessly rant please.

Thanks.

Withdrew from NATO
This is false. The US has not withdrawn from NATO, in fact we provided military assistance to our NATO allies upon their request in the spring to help combat the coronavirus when their hospitals were being overrun.
Trump has however gotten our NATO allies to pay for something closer to the amounts they have promised to pay...
So a totally unfair situation was corrected. Unless you always want to pick up the tab when you go out with friends. I'm not seeing even how to make that into an anti-Trump joke...

Withdrew from NATO
This is false.
It's a list of things Trump didn't do.  Everything on the list is 'false'.

We're not doing a list of things that didn't/haven't happened.

Trump did Make America Great again...
Space Force.

Totally Great.

I know its an old reply...

But "Trump has however gotten our NATO allies to pay for something closer to the amounts they have promised to pay..."

Denmark (where I am from) has increase its budget towards NATO a bit for this reason.
(Still not meeting the minimum, but we still have a strong and very well trained defense force)
((Which might be why we are always one of the first nations to be asked to provide some of our forces to help in international operations)) xD

#Vikings4Life
Hello to Denmark!

Seems like whatever the various countries said they would pay, that should be what they do pay.

in a nutshell we see the Chinese CCP infiltration were successful

....we fled to Taiwan against Marxist CCP regime.  I guess sheeps could now plan on migrating to Hawaii.

And you've watched in the last year, a virtual double of the spy tactics, the riots, and the insurrection used by Mao in 1948 against the Nationalists.
233  Other / Politics & Society / Re: White House operating under the assumption of a second term for Trump. on: November 16, 2020, 10:10:37 PM
Hillary conceded Wednesday after the election (2016 Nov 9). She got the same amount of electoral votes as Trump did in 2020.

I'm sure you know that resorting to blatant lies to keep Trump's scam going is not cool. Why are you still doing that?

To tell you that am not shocked that there are certain men and women still defending Trump and calling the electoral process rigged, I will not be saying the whole truth. What those who support Trump on this stand to gain is what I do not know and can not explain. Trump should call Joe Biden and congratulate the old man for defeatig him. This simple act shoud not cause any pandemonium or deflation of ego for Trump. He should do the right thing.

You simply do not get what you say you'd like, and nobody cares.

If the proper way to refer to Batman is not just,

"Hey, Batman gonna save us?"

but instead,

"Is The Batman gonna save us?"

Then shouldn't we be talking about The Bitcoin?

It's not like it's just any old bitcoin.

The entire "mail in ballot" procedure is prone to vote rigging (despite the ultra-leftists of CNN shouting 10 times a day that there is "no evidence" for the same). There is a reason why most of the countries in the world doesn't have this mail-in-ballot system. Because it is prone to fraud. Everyone knows what is going on in inner cities. Democrat activists collect the postal ballots en masse, and then mark them in favor of their candidates. That is how you have vote dumps of 3000 or 5000 at a time during the election day, all marked for Joe Biden.

That's all no problem because, shut up.

Looking this back up, I see that she did give Trump a late night call, but never conceded publicly.

I guess we can count that as a concession.

Lots of good stuff in your posts, but FYI liquid nitrogen is extremely common and very cheap. It lasts a really long time in a styrofoam dewar.
239  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Election Is Over What Next? on: November 16, 2020, 04:10:02 PM
Now that the epidemic is gradually getting over and the world is returning to normal, the world most powerful election is somewhat over and the outcome wouldn't change anything in your wallet

Lol... What world are you living in buddy?  The virus is getting worse and civil chaos is just around the corner.

Long ammo, BTC, and health supplies.

Not sure I would put Bitcoin in there, but then again the audience on here is going to support it LOL.

If the virus was bad enough to take down our economy and bring equity markets to their knees then the only things you're going to need are as follows: Guns, Ammo, Medical Supplies, Food that can last a long time.

Everything else can be taken by people who have it with your guns/ammo. No chance that any of that happens though, vaccine news is great and it seems like we'll at least be able to get towards some sort of normal in the next year or so.

No. Whiskey and vodka are all one needs.

Because when the baddies with guns steal it, a few hours later you can take their guns and ammo, and everything else they have.
240  Other / Off-topic / Re: What if all creations of the God become disobedient, will he be powerless? on: November 16, 2020, 04:00:28 PM
I was wondering about this for a while. Let's say we have a all powerful single God who has created and controls the entire universe.

Now let's assume that he has power over everything somehow as he says. If some of his creation disobeys him, he punishes them. What is the punishment? It's hell fire.

Now let's say if the fire does not want to burn the cursed creation, what will God do to punish the fire?

Not just fire, let's say God wants to punish by throwing big stones on people but the big stones disobeys him.

So if someone disobeys God and the way God punishes those also refused to obey God then how can God control and be all powerful?

He invented Trump.
