Hey guys, I'm new to this forum, and to bitcoin mining. I order an Antminer S1 to set-up just so I can gain some more experience with mining, didn't want to spend a lot of money and end up screwing something up. I paid $117 for the unit. I also bought the WiFi adapter kit because I don't plan on having my unit right next to the router, that cost $10. And finally a Corsair 430x as my PSU for $20. That means I've invested $147, don't worry I'm keeping track of all of this on an Excel spreadsheet. According to my calculations, I should break even in about 3 months based on the current value of bitcoin as well as the cost of electricity. Of course those factors are not fixed and are variable, which is why it is virtually impossible for me to predict a time period to break even. Also if my machine stops functioning that would be a variable factor. The reason I'm posting this is to ask if there's any advice? I plan on joining a mining pool and am not sure which one would be the best for me. Thanks!  Also you can check out Sha-256 altcoins too! such as DEM, FFC, etc, etc. You can also check out btcguild and maybe rent your rig on betarigs. Much options wow! |

People could get them to less. Not to mention, It would take months to regain your investment, or even a year.

well let say 270x i guess over 150$ 5870s i guess a little less, but they are good cards. any lower ill just give em to people that have shitty cards i know for playing games |

These arent from a rig. They mined scrypt, but they were just taken out with risers off my computer and ran when i didnt use it. Im selling either the 270x, or the 2 5870, reason being id like to keep a good card or the two 5870 in crossfire for the computer itself.

I am in manitoba so shipping would be cheap as well. Willing to offer 0.33 BTC for one unit. that is well, but if you want orders (for real), then be a vendor on alibaba and use alipay escrow for example. or another way, but i wouldnt send a full T/T transfer to china without any guarantee, that's just stupid. |

guys i just updated the wallet, deleted the blocks folder and updated nodes, it had 14 connections but it didnt update nothing my 35 Million MIM unconfirmed  my precious loot accumulated over time with 250kh/s any ideas? What does the debug.log say? FIXED FIXED FIXED ok if you have trouble after updating the client this is what i did. I had to erase everything (dont erase your wallet.dat), uninstall, reinstall fresh with the correct nodes in the .conf file. I hope my MIM confirms though |
