2201  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: SimpleMining.net Easy OS RX 4xx or R9 3xx/2xx - RELEASED on: July 11, 2016, 02:03:45 PM
As now there are 2 options. You can set what you want recive BTC or ETH.
If you set ETH then it will mine on dwarfpool (dagger hashimito) and send you eth.
If you set BTC then it will mine on nicehash (dagger hashimito) but send you btc. <- this option has like 10% less profit due to low profitability on nicehash but its for people who dont know what ethereum is and they want btc instead.

I think that custom pool will be possible soon but first i have to make other more important stuff like:
- short youtube video and some screenshots from installation and how it works
- auto mail notifications (like rig has been booted and some info about it - how many GPUs found etc)
- separate line OS version with 15.12 AMD driver (for 3xx/2xx/7000 cards and overclocking, powertuning stuff)
- basic Dashboard on website where you can login and see status and for now basic info about your rigs

If you have any ideas, problems or you badly need some option, let me know.

Would be nice if you got some screen shots of this in action and what OS or Linux it is based off.

I will try to do it today. Thx for feedback Smiley

Hi.
It has Claymore 5.0 miner already.
So normal speeds, but this is newest amd driver so there is still no tool to tweak gpu and memory clocks.
So benchmarking still not working.

Anyway i will make second distro which had 15.12 driver and supporrts overclocking but it will be not for RX400 cards.

THE FIRST VERSION v200 HAS BEEN RELEASED. More info on website.
It uses claymore's v5.0 miner

Mining with Claymore and get full HDD (128GB SSD)  in half hour.
After checking find /var/log/syslog and kern.log  grown up to 52GB each.
System write this 4 messages about 4-5 thousands per second !

Despite this mine worked properly 24.3 MH/s on each card until the disk is full Smiley
Someone also stumbled upon a similar problem?

System:
Lubuntu 16.04  with amdgpu-pro_16.30.3

5x RX 480 8GB ref model
Asrock FM2A88X + BTC

Hi, i have the same problem in my new project : http://simplemining.net/
Anyway it doesnt bother mining and about logs you can turn then off:
as root execute this command and you will have no longer such problem Smiley systemctl disable rsyslog.service
then delete big file logs from /var/log/ adn reboot system, then it will work fine.
If you want i will release my http://simplemining.net/ Operating System which will have this fix and many more + feature updates.

In mining world, rigs sometimes can crash/hang and it might require manual reboot.
Because of that we designed and made our own device that makes those for you to give you almost 100% uptime.

This is optional device and some users buy it to have 100% sure that leaving for longer period of time will keep rigs mining even if they crash Smiley
If your rigs will be crashing hanging too often then you can also think about that device in thread below:

2214  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Attention! We are looking for a linux tweaker and hardware overclocker. on: June 27, 2016, 09:41:14 PM
Hi.
I have small farm (23 x 380 )
All based on my modified linux (mint).
My OS has few nice things that i have done:
- ofcourse fully autostart HW and autostart mining without interaction
- connecting to one central tunel (if there are few locations)
- monitoring via zabbix centrally - i can show you some screens
(cpu temp, system info ram cpu load etc ..., grpu FAN/temp and also hashrate
https://i.imgur.com/EPGSsjZ.png
https://i.imgur.com/PITYl1h.png
https://i.imgur.com/YZO2qFx.png
- also some watchdog script on miner itself (reboot if it sees errors in dmsg)
- adonitially hard reboot via custom power outlet managed by IP if no ping is comming from miner
- centrally managed operations like upload to all miners new config with new version of miner ( stop / start all miners)

- 13 years experience in linux (i am mainly linux admin and also windows)
- php,mysql,bash,windows
- 9 years experience in lan/wlan networks
- 5 year exp in mining bitcoin/litecoin/x11/ethereum (building hw, mining, etc)
- also some overclocking but with ethereum nothing special
- i am not cheap
- i live in Poland
- i have VAT EU company if needed
2215  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Remote Power Plug TCP IP Power DOWN/Power UP on: June 14, 2016, 10:15:50 AM
i added Video this shows how this works.
If you are interested, tell me how much units you need, how much power outlets and max Wattage on each outlet, and how do you want to manage it. Web interface ? Or clicking from windows App or linux script is just fine ?
2216  Bitcoin / Hardware / Remote Power Plug TCP IP Power DOWN/Power UP (Video) on: June 10, 2016, 08:34:00 PM
Hi.

Info:
This device allows to remote control power outlets. Power ON / Power OFF. (For example if mining rig hangs)
It is using IP protocol - DHCP.
Still there is some work to be done.
It will look different. It has long experience in production but it was always used without "beautifull box".
We can make it smaller and in smaller and nice box Smiley
Please just tell me if there is interest in this device. More interest = faster progress.

Price:
This device is for sale for individual order.
For 2-power outlet module with ethernet cost will be 60-80$
I can make any amount of outlets but each addonitional cost little more.
I can also give EU VAT invoice for this product.

Video:
This is video shows that this device is working.
Web interface is in progess. For now in video i show only console windows/linux commands.
I can easly make Web interface with ON OFF buttons with no problem.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y1cfaeW766c
Shows inside - that its not potato Cheesy
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g2L6GahQKNM

About device:
- 1 power plugin
- 2 or multiple power outlets (each have max 1800 watt but it could also have more (more expensive modules)
- 1 Ethernet RJ45 outlet.

X11 is just an example how unoptimized are kernels for 380 (or sgminer - i dont know)

Idea is to make 380 as good as 280x for every each algo.
2219  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: R9 380x and X11 etc slowness problem ?? on: April 27, 2016, 09:01:53 PM
you think that about 13MH per R9 380 is possible ?
Also other binaries for 380 will get similar performance to 280x ?
