tytanick -- can you consider putting a "version lock" for each of the rigs.

Meaning if a certain version work well for the rig and you dont want to upgrade it for now, you can apply a "lock" setting to that miner.

Those that do not have the lock ativated, would be upgraded automatically as per normal.

This gives miners better control over their rigs.

Otherwise, since upgrades are automatically applied, if a bad code or something happens, some miners with large farms especially will be very upset....

What say you?
Its worth to adding to my list.
But it would needs to be different concept, like "choose version".
I must think about this.
But nobody else have problems with ewest optiminer, i also dont have any issues ... hmm

I also hade different concept.
If i make update i always test it on my testing rigs and then on my production rigs.
If everytihng is ok i am releasing to all.
But i think that i could do "beta upgrade" button which will be manual operation for each rig to upgrade in other people enviroments.
And after update wont hany any issues on bigger scale then i will force to all users this update - this is my idea.
But still locking version hmmmmm.
It would be meaby better to create newer and newer versions and dont delete old ones so if someone would like to upgrade miner then would have to select from list and press APPLY.
There is plenty of space on usb drives
3.4 GB in R OS version
4.7 GB in RX OS version.
So perhaps i will make new versions as separate miner that could be selected from list.
It is preposition but i must consider this.
And also i dont want to make it a big mess like 200 miners to select in future Tongue
What do you think guys ? Smiley

Ofcourse miner selection list will be reorganized, it will be ajax table which be segregated in categories by alghoritm, version, name etc, and ofcourse releasing date, sorting.

Still

any idea what causing this?
it takes a hard reset to fix
happens when loading miner and at startup
It looks like hardware error or bad plug/riser ?
Which os R or RX ?
Whcih gpu card?
Which miner?
I see this first time Smiley

The fee certainly seems reasonable. Have you thought about having ads? I would think the site could become quite popular, and it may be a better way to compensate you.
I have too much going on right now:) I will propably make some advertisements but after i will release SimpleRigResetter and Chineese proxy.
Right now its just too much work do do even more Tongue

And i also spotted new amdgpu-pro drivers 16.50 ... and i need to test it also Tongue
1884  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Mining OS] SimpleMining.net - 95-178sol/s + v1032 Temp/Fan settings on: December 08, 2016, 09:50:53 PM
as on optiminer git website:
Expected speed (stock card):
R9 Nano: 255 S/s
R9 290: 190 S/s
RX 480: 185 S/s

On virtual box ?
You shoudl test on one of your rigs and login to simplemining.net dashboard
It looks like this: (i have power failure in one of my objects Tongue)

my interest to this came from simple rig resetter, I'm maintaining medium farm ~100 rigs and I would like to add some improvements to it.
So far the biggest issue I have is that most of rigs wont start after power blackout or freeze if there isn't a monitor connected (HDMI dummies are on their way for testing).
I have lots of questions about this OS and first one will be the question about the stability, how stable it is and what about starting it up without monitor connected?
Also what will be the fee approximately if it is defined yet?
Also how easy and fast it is to maintain them? (I need couple hrs to update all rigs when Claymore announces new version of his miner)
Thanks Smiley

Now its free but in future price will be somewere between 1-3$/rig/month. But i will start propably with smaller fee in january/february.
Anyway i wont make fee in % becasue reloading rigs to mine few minutes every hour would cause problems.
Now i need to make SRR, then i will be making Japan server for chineese people becasue direct connection from chineese to europe sucks.
Then i will implement some little fees and grow up to 3$ in some time becasue still some features are missing.

Bots OS'es R and RX are starting without any dummy plugges.
But also in RX OS i had to enable Intel Graphic adapter as Primary in order to get this work.
Try download and see for yourself. Image is not newest but all updates will be applied at the booting.

Many people find my S VERY simple and working out of box.
Only some very little people have problems for example ethernet not working when there is too  new motherboard. (i will add drivers later)
But in most cases like 95% it is JUST WORKING Smiley
Interface is nice - you just need to install one rig and see for yourself becasue there is no video showing what it can do.

If rig will discover HW error it will reboot automatically in most cases. But some require SimpleRigResetter Smiley (as when system freezes - it cant execute rebbot becasue it is freezed Tongue)

Anyway if new significant miner will be out, then i am implementing is as fast as i can - depend on impact of new miner.
So if there is cosmetic changes and no speed improvment i am updating it slowly. but when tehre was zcash out, i implemented many miners in mater of hours.

Anyway if there is new miner just post here and i will add id faster becasue nowadays i dont have time to monitor all miners/currencied/topics etc Smiley
Too much tasks already Tongue

So see for yourself and let me know if you have problems here of if it regards to specific rig then admin@simplemining.net

I can't mine Monero Sad. gpu: rx 470.
Yep this is what i said Smiley
Anyway use monefo for really old cards that are unprofitable in miing eth.
Still eth is most profitable to miine with (not archaic gpus)
See https://www.whattomine.com

If anyone would find working miner for monero with amdgpu-pro then it would be nice.
I cant do it in December, I have too many tasks regarding SimpleRigResetter device - i want to send as planned in January Smiley

Nope, you need to figure out if not working Tongue
Anyway zcash best miner is optiminer which is already implemented.
1888  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Mining OS] SimpleMining.net - 95-178sol/s + v1032 Temp/Fan settings on: December 08, 2016, 12:59:48 PM
I am using Claymore Cryptonight/XMR/Monero miner with latest Crimson drivers with no issues.

He recommends those drivers because that what is using in his dev machine. Even his Ubuntu is 12.xx. So far no issues using his miners ETH, ZCASH or XMR with latest Crimson drivers. I think all his miners are also updated to support RX cards for quite sometime now.

Btw, can you support his latest v9 ZCASH miner --- it is out of this world!
There is no claymore version fo linux sory. He is doing only for windows.

Anyway
Crimson drivers are in R OS (and supports up to R9 380 Amd cards)
But RX OS has amdgpu-pro drivers which supports RX400 series and it can be uncompatible with this old XMR miner.
1889  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Mining OS] SimpleMining.net - 95-178sol/s + v1032 Temp/Fan settings on: December 08, 2016, 09:58:36 AM
UPDATE v1042
Ok guys, i added Claymore XMR miner.
You can REFRESH dashboard and change miner - let me know if it is working becasue on my ADMGPU (driver in RX OS) i had many problems propably becasue this miner is compatible with 15.12 driver.
Also after reboot, rig should update its status on dashboard much faster (updating script was run at round minute so in worst case you could wait 10-60 seconds for first update on dashboard, now it is executing extra update after boot so it will appear after 0-10 seconds after first boot Smiley

I have my rigs setup with wolf0, so no rush on my account Smiley
But your OS is so user-friendly and convenient! You are providing an amazing, free service for the crypto community. It's incredible. Thank you so much.
Thx.
Renember that it wont be free in some time Smiley
I will be charging propably 1-3 $ per rig per month Smiley
I just dont have time to do this "fee charging" right now Tongue But i think that January/February i might inplement this in early stage.
Ofcourse i will email everyone with proper period of time and i wont cut off any rig for some time.
Servers, and mostly my time is expensive - i need to earn something becasue all i see around me are only bills Cheesy
Thx anyway Smiley

Ok, I dont promise but i will try to release XMR claymore miner in next 2-4 days Smiley
I am currently working on SimpleRigResetter and other stuff so i am little bit slower Smiley
1892  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Mining OS] SimpleMining.net - 95-178sol/s + v1032 Temp/Fan settings on: December 07, 2016, 06:23:26 PM
My rigs ran more reliably in 1039, after 1041 update, some of my rigs are running at different freq (Mhz), reboot fixes it for a while but after some time, freq goes out of sync. Can you reset my rigs to 1039?
Write on admin@simplemining.net your mail and id of the rig, i will check it.
I only changed Fan speed in those updates Smiley
Also tell me if i can change some settings and reload rig to debug it.
1893  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Mining OS] SimpleMining.net - 95-178sol/s + v1032 Temp/Fan settings on: December 07, 2016, 09:51:13 AM
Yes. Always there must be most profitable miner.
I know that for older cards XMR is better but right now i am focusing on SimpleRigResetter device which i will open preorders in 1-2 weeks.
So programing for simplemining needs to wait Smiley
But implementing new miner is very simple if we can use command line with options because config file isnt supported in my system right now.
What is the best XMR miner for linux ? Claymore ?

Guys.
V1040-v1041 - fixed certain bad state in fan speed setting.

1897  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Simple Rig Resetter - Hardware from simplemining.net on: December 04, 2016, 06:16:10 PM
this means I can restart my rigs any time ? without the need to be at place ?
One main board supports only two 24 extenders ? What config will I need for 140 rigs ?
Hi, Yes exatly you will be able to reset any rig that is connected to my SimpleRigResetter while not beeing at place.
There is manual method: going to simple webinterface of my device and clicking "reset" near any rig you want.
Or by auto using my watcher program that will need to be installed on each rig. This program will send every few seconds "keepallive" packet to SimpleRigResetter.
If SimpleRigResetter wont receive packet from certain rig within 120 seconds then it will reset it automaticly.
You also will be able to disable watchdog and use only manual resetting ofcourse Smiley
One Main Board in deed can handle 2 ExtensionBoards for now.
If this will change then i will let everybody know.

For you 140 rigs you will need:

SimpleRigResetter (8 rigs) + Extension board (24 rigs) + Extension board (24 rigs) = 56 Rigs
SimpleRigResetter (8 rigs) + Extension board (24 rigs) + Extension board (24 rigs) = 56 Rigs
SimpleRigResetter (8 rigs) + Extension board (24 rigs) + (empty slot...................) = 32 Rigs
So in that case you will need to buy:
3x SimpleRigResetter and 5x Extension Boards.
10-100m Cable is free to each Extension Board and you would can select lenght.
Cables to rigs are paid as on website.
So in your case you will need 140 rig Cables (you will can select lenght of each cable)
Also for such bigger orders it will be good to use DHL instead of normal Postage package Smiley
It will give you Managing of total 144 rigs.
In that case you will need 3 LAN IP for SimpleRigResetters if you want web access.
For auto-script there will be no need of setting IP for SimpleRigResetter.

Also important to note fo you !!!

SimpleRigResetter
Pre-orders will be opened in this months - December 2016 and shipping of this batch will be 15-30 January.
Normal stock will be available after preorders are sent + about 15 days.

ExtensionBoards:
Preorders will be opened propably in January shipping most propably February.
Normal Stock Will be available after preorders are sent + about 15 days.

So in that Case Whole set you can have as soon as February when using preorders and March with normal stock.
Also note that preorders are cheaper.
Also There will be individual discounts for 5+ boards.
My advice is that you order 1 or 3 SimpleRigResetter for tests and the Extension Boards after i will be opening preorders.

We are on track on everything and we are ordering little upgraded PCB (with better organized Slots for each rig)

In next 15 days i will show more details. Demonstrate how it works. Also show webpanel etc Smiley
If you are interested you can write to admin@simplemining.net
I will add you mail to my special list ope interested people Smiley

Hello guys!
I have two machines with ASUS motherboards and two with GIGABYTE motherboards.
On the ASUS machines, SimpleMining works perfectly.
The GIGABYTE ones can't connect to the network. They work fine running Windows but with SimpleMining they don't find the network adapters.
The motherboards are 970A-DS3P (R OS) and GA-990FXA-UD3 (RX OS). The Ethernet adapters are recognized in Windows as "Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller".
Someone here have a similar problem?
    Best regards!
    Brusque
Hi, yes i renember about your problems Smiley
Missing support for those network cards, i will look into it. Just little bit longer Smiley
970A-DS3P     - R OS    (4 XFX 380X GPUs)
GA-990FXA-UD3 - RX      (4 mixed 470/480 GPUs)
can you execute commands like:
lspci
and send me to admin@simplemining.net
meaby i could figure out faster

Always updated info is here:
https://simplemining.net/page/simpleRigResetter

Ok guys, new informations:

SimpleRigResetter will cost 70$ for preorder in December and 90$ as normal price.
It will support 8 rigs + ability to connect TWO extension packs which give +24 +24 rigs.
Extension packs will cost about 99$.
So in other words 90$+99$+99$ will give you managing of 54 rigs with average cost 5,4$ per rig + cost of cables which is 2,5-6 $.
Cable between Main Board and Extension pack is in 99$ price and you can choose 10-100m cable.
Cables for rigs will be sold separately becasue everyone have different needs. On website there is price list for each lenght.
Cable between main board to rig can be max 10m.
Cable between extension pack and rig can be max also 10m.
Ofcourse all rigs are still electrically isolated and safe.
Also there is no power wattage limit that you are using in those rigs becasue  our device dont manage electrisity but only manages motherboard pins Smiley
So this is big advantage over all devices. + Low cost per rig.

One person had idea of making wireless little nodes that are powered via motherboard pins.
I looked into it and this is totally doable but the cost of one wireless little board near each rig would be like 30-40$ so its make totally no economic sesne.
Better to use stable long cables and organise then nicely Smiley

Shipping is little tricky becasue DHL killed price here. They want like 80$ for small package.
Thats why we will be sending packages using normal post office for about 20-30$.
And as alternative there will be DHL with 80$ cost (but i suppose only big orders will make sens with that DHL)
Preorders still are closed so dont write mails regarding that.
Once i will most of software ready and could show you much more i will open Preorders and ofcourse inform you.
This should be in this month- December 2016.
