Anyway to manually set core/mem voltages with this OS? and why is it showing in claymore that my 480 as 14 compute units when it shows like 36 in windows? It's only hashing at 15mhs too..?

Upgrade kernel to beta one.
Also i am working on buying OC tool. Propably few more days and i will have it.
Still talking to somebody about it.
Claymore not showing all compute units but its just a number, nothing to be concerned about.

T - 2 small request to be included in next release... thanks

Request #1
can you include a small utility that shows all the red/green dots in a single dashboard for ALL detected SRRs in a network environment?
Programming wise this is quite logical to do -- hope you can include this simple "SRR Network Dashboard" --- its useful for miners that have several SRRs in a network.
Shown as a single dashboard for easy monitoring -- the admin will know the state of health for the farm.

Request #2
If a slot is not used, can it be colored BLACK (or some meaningful color to represent UN-USED).... so that RED means slot taken and offline and needs SRR attention, and GREEN is all is well.

All status you have in simplemining.net dashboard, isnt that ok ?
All SRR in one dahboard it would be hard. I can make smaller window to run more windows on the same screen.

Colored black, idea is ok but i ned to check if its even possible.
I need to ask my friend if this can be done - propably not.
Status is taken by checking if 5V is present or not.

Anyway better would be "disabling" slot"

UPDATE:
- released v1074 new images of R and RX OS with all updates.
It is just for new rigs to avoid downloading 28 updates from v1046 to 1074 Smiley
1584  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [SHOP] SimpleRigResetter - Auto resets HANGED rigs - available now !!! on: March 07, 2017, 10:48:33 PM
Just ordered one shipping to the US was $22 ouch , to do all 30 rigs would cost me a fortune, for now i have 10 problem rigs i will test these on
Ok.
At the beginning of April there will be Extension Boards available.
So you can add this to your SRR in April Smiley

The calculation for weak processors is not at all correct ... the processor 15-30H / s monero does not get any money. Already, even the FX-4100 120Hs hardly gets 25,000 solutions for Nicehash.
How do you configure the parameters of the miner for only one farm? Or create 10 mails for each type of miners? (In my opinion this is not a very good idea, if you change one parameter, all the rigs are restarted at once)
I am already working on RIG GROUPING which will allow to change settings for selected rigs or groups Smiley

Hi, did you installed Beta Kernel   ? If not then instlal it and check again.
Also in linux can take different clocks like propably more Overclocking in memory than windows.
Check it.

Yep. 4.10rc3

Tell me that gpu are using and what are your clocks.
Also did you tried to make bigger OC on memory to see if it will help ?
Can you send me email to admin@simplemining.net ?
I can check your options and see if i can do something about it ?
1587  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Mining OS] SimpleMining.net - ATIFLASH for linux on: March 07, 2017, 07:13:05 PM
Yep.

You should mine eth/etc if you have :
RX470 / RX480
R9 380 and 380X

You should mine ZEC/ZCL if you have:
R9 280X or propably HD ..... also
1588  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Mining OS] SimpleMining.net - ATIFLASH for linux on: March 07, 2017, 07:07:11 PM
UPDATE v1075 changelog:
- fixed SRR Agent in R OS (i forgot to install socat package which sends keepallive packets)
So in other words, Linux SRR agent i R OS didnt worked at all Tongue
Now it will work Smiley
1589  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Mining OS] SimpleMining.net - ATIFLASH for linux on: March 07, 2017, 07:05:48 PM
i get 136.500-136.800 MH/S eth in win 10 rig
and 130-132.500 MH/S eth on mOS.

and cryptocompare.com shows $ 191.51 monthly at win 10
and $ 185.88 at mOS

Correct me if i wrong.
Hi, did you installed Beta Kernel   ? If not then instlal it and check again.

Hi T - when is the ETA on the new firmware the updated new features?

The 250sec max WD delay is not working well on my R cards but no issues for the RX cards.

I distributed the SRRs according to GPU types, but one SRR unit is managing RX and R cards - I have disabled that SRR for now because it's resetting the R cards at random. Hope I can enable it soon so that the whole farm can achieve 100% uptime.

Thanks

Hi. It wannt problem of long start Smiley
After all i made mistake and package that needs to be present for sending keepallive packets was installed only in RX version.
v1075 SimpleMiningOS fixes that !
1591  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Mining OS] SimpleMining.net - ATIFLASH for linux on: March 07, 2017, 04:16:22 PM
Load is 4 so its mottlenecking your speed propably Smiley
1592  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Mining OS] SimpleMining.net - ATIFLASH for linux on: March 07, 2017, 02:44:49 PM
Always try Beta Kernel.
And yes, still there isnt tool for setting clocks, i am working on it( talking to somebody who has it and can sell it)
1593  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Mining OS] SimpleMining.net - ATIFLASH for linux on: March 07, 2017, 01:41:33 PM
No,
you can do that only by ssh to rig and executing command: htop
Anyway my rigs showing 10-30% average CPU usage on Cheapest Intel Celeron for 24$ (Procesor INTEL® Celeron™ G1840 2.8GHz)
1594  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Mining OS] SimpleMining.net - ATIFLASH for linux on: March 07, 2017, 12:45:56 PM
Moreover, anything X11 or Scrypt algos should not be mined using GPU because there are ASIC miners for that.

Yep.
So conclustion: only eth, zec, monero algho are good to mining right now.
1595  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Mining OS] SimpleMining.net - ATIFLASH for linux on: March 07, 2017, 12:43:54 PM
So tell me if i am calculating this wrong.
But if i am not wrong then i must think really hard if this makes any sense to implement (even as a fee for me )
It will cause unnesesery problems only and more work for me.
1596  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Mining OS] SimpleMining.net - ATIFLASH for linux on: March 07, 2017, 12:31:51 PM
I am not calculating thi too well but
30H/s in morenro at +30 watts would give you:
1,5 $ revenue per month
-3$ electricity cost
= - (minus) 1,5$ per month

120H in monero at +60 watts woudl give you
5,7 $ revenue per month
- 7,3$ electricity cost
= - (minus) 1,6 $ per month

IF my calculations are correct becasue i didnt tested how mining cpu will increase wattage, those are my numbers taken from head and not backed up by any experiments.
Either way its totally not profitable to mine for you.
Even it would be totally unprofitable to pay me fee in this way but if someone has free power or doesnt care, or cant pay via btc then this is the way to go.

Tell me how do you see/calculate this ?

Note that  idle procesor takes much less watts tna 100% busy one Smiley
Its not "free" Tongue
And also as pbuva said there are some issues with loading cpu.
Thats why i just need to do some tests if it will make any sense for me and for end user. (and propably it wont)
1597  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Mining OS] SimpleMining.net - ATIFLASH for linux on: March 07, 2017, 11:30:01 AM

Hello Dev. On my rigs installed processors FX 8150,8320,4100,8350 8300 work under win10 64 cpu multi 1.2. On the monero, these processors are issued from 4100 - 120Hs, 8320 - 270Hs. When using your Mining OS SimpleMining, the processor powers are idle. Is it possible to add mining on the processors to your OS? Roll Eyes
Nope, i wont add cpu mining becasue when fee system comes you will have option to select cpu mining as fee for me instead of paying Tongue
So i guess cpu mining for user makes no sense.
But it needs to be considered with more details.
First i will impelemnt my cpu fee as an option and then i will think if i should do this fo people.

Can I use sgminer for Linux to mine at this multipool?
If yes, which version and what syntax to use. Thanks

Yes, but you'd have to compile from source. Something along these lines... https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=863974

Hi, Implementing such miner if it auto switches things shouldnt be difficult.
Anyway i might be wrong but mining X11 X13 etc (old alghos) should be unprofitable compared to zec and eth.
Can you make comparison how much you will get daily from 280x, 380, 470 in eth/zec and wepaybtc ?

So I am new to smOS, like it so far, very easy to setup.  Only issue is when I first set it up I used the claymore eth V8 miner with ethermine fine.  I decided after a few hours to switch over to claymore eth+sia on ethpool.  I now want to switch back but I can get it to hash at all.  If i leave the default on dwarfool under claymore eth V8 it connects and hashs fine, but I cannot get it to connect to ethermine.

-epool stratum+tcp://us1.ethermine.org:4444 -ewal $walletETH/$rigName -esm 0 -epsw x -allpools 1 -mport -3333

Etherminer has this syntax:
-epool eu1.ethermine.org:4444 -ewal <Your_Ethereum_Address>.<RigName> -epsw x
And you are using shash : /
Anyway $walletETH variable is cutting off first "0x" so please write complete address. Also start using custom (recommended)miners.
I need to make some cleenup in those miner selection and also ethereum field for wallet address i should remove because sometimes pools need it with 0x and sometimes without id and this is causing confusion.
1600  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Mining OS] SimpleMining.net - BETA UPGRADE 2-7% performance boost on: March 06, 2017, 09:17:12 PM
I appreciate your input but respectfully disagree.
One problem is that SimpleMining stock does not work well with the Pro Duo so I needed to change some things to get it to work effectively.  Secondly and most importantly it is extremely difficult if not impossible to make custom ROMs and test them through SSH.  If I was using ROMs that 98% of forum members are using then it would be great but I am not.  They are customized for each GPU and that yields  10-15% more profit beyond the typical forum custom ROMs(Either by higher overclock or lower power usage).

The ROMs that are used by most people are nothing more than cookie cutter adjustments made with Polaris Bios Editor or equivalent and DO NOT come close to what can be done Hex Editing the ROM.  Hex editing the ROM can yield a significant advantage but where the REAL difference is made is in editing the ROM for each card individually to maximize the power savings and overclock potential.

Having a desktop environment may cost me a few percent but not having one cost me 15%.

As far as the Update messing things up, it isn't a big deal for me as I have a couple of distros I use for my miners but because I have a few friends using SimpleMiner I thought I would give it a shot.

Lastly, I haven't looked closely into your distro yet but I am wondering why you cannot change the mem and core clocks individually through a config file for the miner.  It seems that would be the easiest implementation.

BTW- I do think you are doing a great job  Wink

I Agree with you. Anorak and other bioses available on forum are more less something.
But real deal is when you edit them in hex and even for each gpu individually.
I myself have various offsets for each card the same brand becasue one os better and another no.
Anyway i still doenst understand why you need desktop enviroment ?
Flashing via ssh is easy. Login, send bios, flash, reboot, then start mining if it will hang then you can try lower one.
Tell me what gives you desktop, meaby i dont see it ? Smiley

Also what adjustments you did to make Nano Pro working ? Whats wrong ?
Is something is broken then i need to fix it.
Also did you tried beta kernel 4.10 rc3 ? It solves many problems. ?
