I'm working on something exactly like this right now Cheesy But we owe the orignal idea to tytanick. Ofcource it will be cheaper to do it on your own, but then not everyone has the time/energy/aptitude to build an arduino module for this purpose, which is where an easy to order easy to use module like this one from tytanick comes in.

Exactly. You can make smartphone by yourself if you know how to, and it wil be cheaper, yet still people are buying iPhones Tongue

@tytanick

does the claymore ethmon tool still send the reported hashrate via simplemining to my monitor box ?

if you have in options  -mport -3333
then you can use this port for monitoring also in ethmon tool.
It is just opened api

I will try make beta update soon for new kenel (after i will test some of them and also OpenCL new driver)
Thx to laik2 for help. !

- yeah I saw select SSD ,but do i need to remove the SSD from that box and install the image while the SSD is plugged into another machine or can i just run it on the target machine
thats what I really meant sorry
I think i dont understand you but let me tell you how it needs to be done.
You need to run windows righ? So run it but dont touch that Widnows drive.
Second drive is that SSD that needs to be plugged also into that windows PC.
image file you need to have on windows drive and then run app and select this second drive. Is it ok ? Cheesy
1705  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Mining OS] SimpleMining.net - BETA UPGRADE 2-7% performance boost on: February 07, 2017, 04:45:28 PM
Can you add claymore + DCR ?
Use Claymore cutom miner that is already that what you want, you just need to enter proper options to start mining DCR.
And this is what i wont help, you need to enter claymore eth miner forum page and see examples and add dcr options.

also how do you install to an existing sata SSD instead of a flash drive ? all my rigs have 120GB SSDs
You should be able to select SSD in HDDRaw Copy Tool right ?

1706  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Mining OS] SimpleMining.net - BETA UPGRADE 2-7% performance boost on: February 07, 2017, 04:04:27 PM
Hi

I am using a 250gb hard drive...its from a laptop, one I used for testing. I can put a new hard drive in and give it a whirl see if that would make a difference. I think I fixed the core/mem issue ... reading correctly now. I changed the PCIEX16_1 to GEN 2 seems to be working ok.

Update: Tried the upgrade again and it worked only thing it would not reboot....had to hit reset...Everything looks good...

Still all ok? I have same issue, after some time some xard get 300 until restart.
Is it only under optiminer?
Can you tell me more details ?
-is it RX OS ?
- what gpus ?
- what core and memory clocks ?
- do they have custom bios with modded timings ?
- which miner are you using ? optiminer ? mining zcash/komodo ?
1707  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [SHOP] SimpleRigResetter - Auto resets HANGED rigs - available now !!! on: February 07, 2017, 10:00:46 AM
Tytanick -- is it possible to show reset counter per rig in the GUI?
I would like to know which rig has high reset count.
This will give me some idea on which rig needs HW troubleshooting (riser, power issues, etc.).
By doing this, I can prevent PSU going bad if reset is triggered too many times OR loops indefinitely.
Thanks
This would be SimpleMining OS feature, and yes, it is good idea. Meaby even history of resets.
Anyway now you can check from time to time "uptime status" - if you often see some rig that has <1h uptime then you know Tongue

Sorry for make you disappointed.
They cheap and fast, easy to deploy. It's time for IoT, don't make thing hard when it's not big deal.
OK, good luck then.

Where are you shipping from , i am located in EGYPT and will ship to PO box , i have some located in Europe , USA , ASIA , what would be the cheapest country for you to ship to ?
I am from Poland and i am shipping from there. From cheapest to more expensive:
Poland
Slovakia and Czech Republic
Europe Union

Anyway be fast. I will be closing pre-order prices very soon as i am start sending some packages today.
So the normal price will be +20$ from this price.

Anyway way i have good news about those Extension Packs that i am developing now.
I dont have it confirmed ( i will when we check it in production) but most propably you could connect not 2 but even 10 Extension Boards to ONE RigResetter (
It will lower costs for big farms Smiley
1708  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Mining OS] SimpleMining.net - BETA UPGRADE 2-7% performance boost on: February 07, 2017, 09:50:22 AM
hello tytanick..
possible to undervolt on ur os?

like use Wattool in windows?

thanks master, amazing os btw

Unfortunatley there is no such tool for linux.
Only way to undervolt (at least for now) is to make custom undervolt OFFSET in bios.
You could check how works those bioses on your gpus:
anorak.tech/t/anoraks-vbios-collection-optimized-settings-for-performance-power-saving/13
Anyway i dont renember if they have offset. I have custom bioses myself for RX470 Gigabyte G1, RX480 Asus White, and Shpphite.
But i cant give those for free as i had to pay for them. But they work under my distro.
For example, Bios modded for energy efficency, Added undervolt offset and copied timings for RX470 Gigabyte G1:
26,5MH/s ethereum and rig with 6 gpus takes 740 watt from wall (measured by watt meter - its only way to measure the right way)

Suggestion :
It could be possible to select miner for each rig individually and not all rig mining the same things
Especially a difference for R and RX OS
That's just a suggestion, because currently the only solution is to have to two different mail address Smiley

There will be rig grouping and this is how i see it:
- each rig can be assigned to specific group name
- dashboard table will be selectable
- there will be action like "select group "JohnHouse"
- there will be options to do something with selected rigs: reboot, reload
- also there will be option to "assign" specific miner and miner options to selected rigs
If you have any other proposals just tell me.

I am not sure for 100% but i would say this is "normal".
I seen this but i dont have any problems on my gpus.
RX470 Gigabytes G1
RX480 Asus (white)
and also tested on many 380 Gigabyte G1
All with no problems in 4.10 kernel but in 4.8 i had problems like 300 MH in OC.
Also if you see 300MH in OC, there is a big chace that this gpu just hanged and OC went to zero. (i dont renember how it acted on my gpus)
I can release newer kernel, meaby it will be fixed if kernel is the issue ofcourse
1709  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Mining OS] SimpleMining.net - BETA UPGRADE 2-7% performance boost on: February 06, 2017, 02:03:18 PM
I'm getting the same issues as others where a few cards in each 400 series rigs have 300 clocks and don't hash.

What i have noticed is that when you updated to optiminer 1.6.0 i started to have problems with few cards 300mhz clock speed and no hashing. until then all rigs were working without issues, when i restarted my rigs they updated the miner and then i started to have problems. Any chance you can implement a version prior 1.6. so we can test it if that is really an issue? I sitll have one rig which i didnt restart and it is still working. I bet if i restart it i will have the same issue.

now its 1.6.1 still the same issue ?
Can you check bigger console and see if those gpus are even mining ?
I thing they are just hanged ?

Do you have the same issue with claymore zec miner ?
Do you also have the same with claymore eth miner ?
1710  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [SHOP] SimpleRigResetter - Auto resets HANGED rigs - available now !!! on: February 06, 2017, 01:54:00 PM
Yah but its dangerous solution.
If one rig will have power problem like shor curcuit, all your rigs will burn (motherboards). Just for you to know.

I think you don't understand what this thing does.
Everyone one can do same, just little time research about arduino + ethernet module + optocouplers + few hours to learn to code from begin, it connected direct to mainboard on power/reset pin.
I used it for my webserver to manager ~ 120 rigs already 6 month, then possible 300+ in this year without problem.
[/quote]
I know exactly what i am talking about Smiley
That why we use opto transistors and not cheap ones for "shorting pins".
1711  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [SHOP] SimpleRigResetter - Auto resets HANGED rigs - available now !!! on: February 06, 2017, 12:55:29 PM
My simpler solution, just cost $20 in my country with arduino module and 30 mins read document and do code, can reset 45+ rigs, can extend to unlimited rigs with register shift.
Have webserver and api too.

hello
could you implement Komodo coin tto?
there's a pool now

www.komodopool.com

thanks
Its the same hash algho as zec soyou can use optiminer or claymore-zec

UPDATE v1063:

- updated optiminer v1.6.1
- added separate sgminer-gm-nh (nicehash version) 5.5.5-4
Note. To use new optiminer, you need to reload/reboot your rig to start mining on newer version !

1714  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [SHOP] SimpleRigResetter - Auto resets HANGED rigs - available now !!! on: February 06, 2017, 08:17:47 AM
Ok guys.
Today i received first batch if RigResetters (i cant tell exact number but below is photo with some of it Smiley
Next days i wil be informing more fequent about status and start shipping  date Smiley

Any update on when you might start shipping?  Say I placed an order today for SRR and a few cables.  Any estimate on when it would ship?

Thanks, this looks like a great product!
Yes. I am planning to start packing on tuesday by rule first in first out.
Anyway i had unplanned problem. I Ordered from two different warehouses Quoltec power supplies and there is bad part of those power suppies.
50% of them are like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YA-cF3Aym7M
I wont be sending quolted power supplies then and i will return all of the.
Anyway on monday.tuesday i will have totally different product and lets hope ewerything will be smooth so i could start shipping Smiley
Anyway those power supplies are little more expensive but its on me. So we are on finish Smiley

my order did not require any power supplies, because I will provide my own power supply.

So my order can ship first?  Grin
Will see Tongue

Guys if you have overclocking problem please tell me if applying BETA KERNEL if fixing it ?
It should Smiley

About optiminer and sgminer, yes i will implement next versions.
Give me little time Smiley

Hi Tytanick,

I know you are busy as a bee on SRR project but do you have timeline to update the miners below:

sgminer-gm v5.5.5-4
optiminer v1.6.1

I need to complete a few projects for my clients within 24 hours, and need to use sgminer-gm v 5.5.5-4 urgently.

Thanks

I will do this right now !
For sure it will be faster and more updates after i will implement one feature called "service fee" Cheesy
That way i could spend much more (even full time) on simplemining - so its a good idea to make it soon (first as preferable donation - not to force ans scare people off Tongue)

Also guys if you have issues, pleae check if you have the same problem with claymore-eth miner.
This miner is STABLE while ZEC miners (optiminer especially, uis causeing some issues)
So if on eth miner its working well then at least we know something Smiley
Also we caould try updating to even newer kernel to see if meaby it will be fixed.

VM_Context1_Protection_Fault_Addr - this happens mostly when there is too much undervolting on custom bios.
Sometimes too much gpu OC.
So for RX470/480 its best to test first on claymore ETH miner at clocks :
core: propably max but you can lower to 4-6 dpm state
memory: first is best to check if on 1800 mhz its working well.
Some of my undervolted rigs and tunned timigs have problems at >1933 MHz (my rigs below on image)
Also XEC is unprofitable right now as calculator says ?
Anywa i find ZEC mining more problematic which ETH/ETC works very nice.

UPDATE 1062
- added Boolberry miner (wildkeccak)

But renember. Its very old miner, could cause problems.
Each time miner starts, it needs to download 250 MB file named scratchpad.bin ( i will look into it later how to save it)
Also suprnova scratchpad.bin link doesnt work in this miner so use always this link http://bbr.mbkpool.info/scratchpad.bin
Anyway please dont replace this config with config copied from pool, just change server, user and password.
Also suprnova cant withdraw to poloniex, so you need to send it do normal wallet first.

P.S - i tried to set boolberry wallet but windows wallet cant connect, any idea ?
Temporary you can use my link
-k http://simplemining.net/download/scratchpad.bin -l /var/tmp/scratchpad.bin
so:
-a wildkeccak_ocl -o stratum+tcp://bbr.suprnova.cc:7777 -u tytanick.$rigName -p x -k http://simplemining.net/download/scratchpad.bin -l /var/tmp/scratchpad.bin

can you add Boolberry mining?

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=693118.0
Pool:
https://bbr.suprnova.cc/

Thank you!
Yes i could propably add this.
Is it more profitable than etc ? I didnt had time to check ?

whats the command to show the miner on SSH?
after you login as miner (passwrod is also miner)
then just enter screen -x
if you want exit you can detach screen by pressing ctrl+a+d
