Hi Tytanick
Would it be possible to add a miner for Decred.
There is one already, its called claymore eth custom. You can set dected only mining there (i think so Tongue)

Claymore Dual Miner for ETH and 2nd coin -- cannot be used for Decred mining only. His FAQ clearly states that.

However, sgminer classic -- the one used in smOS for Pascal mining can be used if Decred kernel is included in the build.

In fact, Tytanick, you should include a general purpose AMD front-end miner like sgminer-classic because it can mine several popular coins and algos, for example: X11/X13/NeoScrypt/Lyra2RE/etc ~ including PASC, DECRED etc. etc. This way, you can save more space in your image file.
There is still plenty of space for each miner. No problem
Problem would be to keep all version of all miners  to choose which version you like Tongue
So no problem.
And yes i can add this miner too.
For faster adding please always refer which miner you have in mind, there are so many forks and i dont track them unless they are more profitable than claymore.

Just to you know guys, I will implement SRR Agent feature in Simplemining OS in next 3 days.
1663  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Mining OS] SimpleMining.net - BETA UPGRADE 2-7% performance boost on: February 18, 2017, 11:08:20 AM
the smOS viewpoint is one guy is using 11 spots for mining and the other is using 5 spots.
pleasing  the rig high card low guy  will be hard.
I am willing to pay fees.   But not that willing to get hurt because I did a lot of four card rigs.
Thats way i am asking for your opinion guys, to find the golden middle Smiley
Propably charging based on gpu quantity would be very good
For example 1 cent (0.01$) per GPU per day Smiley
That should be also easy to implement.
Also i think that on top of that there will be some other things like, paying more at once will give 20-30% bonus.
Or more than 10 rigs discounts.

Anyway, advertisement is very important.
If i will have much more miners like 10x more, then i could charge even LESS !
Base costs are big for me but adding more pwoer to server isnt too much big deal.
This is also why i didnt do the fee service until now. Still there is not a lot miners in my OS.

Hi Tytanick

.....my recent request for zawawa-gateless gate -- btw,  when is ETA?)
Right after i will add support for SRR to OS. So next 3 days i would say. But estimating here is bad. I can estimate and then emergency happen Cheesy

FACT: smOS was built to this stage with strong and active mining community support.
FACT: Developer need constant feedback and useful / in demand features
Same as SRR project, the idea and project is good -- without community support and demand -- it will probably wont be successful because you need confirmed demand from buyers to determine capacity. For example if only 10 people is confirmed want the SRR, would it be worth it to mass produce and develop SRR?
Accually yes Tongue
I think that 10-20 guys confirmed that they want SRR.
But i really wanted to do something about it. I am still at strong minus in SRR development profits.
Meaby next 2-3 months will give me cash to pay those costs Smiley
Anyway i belive in that + there was 20 supporters that told me that i am not alone Smiley
Ofcourse SRR need also strong advertisement.

In the context of smOS, you had this idea since 2014. It was kind off re-introduced in mid-2016. I remember testing smOS and sharing it with many other members to try it out (that includes legendary members like philipma). At that point, given the frenzy in ETH, ZEC and XMR coins the need for something simple like smOS is very good idea. This I think, was the main attraction to smOS.
Yep. At the first i had doubts .... Some users treated me like a scam or bad guy who can anytime turn them rigs into botnet Smiley
That is true, i still can do it. But i cant do this differently if it needs to be simple.
But why wont i do it ?
As i said many times, i am honest guy (not many poeople in world i suppose).
Also now from SRR release people have access to my personal address and company also.
Still it would be sooo stupid to do that .....
Turning all rigs into botnet will work for how much ? 24h ?
Then all will go away.
Its still better to do service with small but continious profit.

METHOD:
Tiered flat rate one-time-fee for most users. A one time cost, including free upgrades to the latest software version.
You can charge a different package for large farms.

Example:
a. 1-2 clients FREE TO TRY
b. 10 clients USD$50
c. 20 clients USD$100
d. 50 clients USD$200
e. 100 clients USD$400
f. 101 and above - Custom packaging.

Your development of smOS will probably also need to capture NVIDIA miners in future - if you want to charge by rigs or gpus monthly - it will be expensive for many, complicated to enforce and will introduce more questions. I believe if you do a flat rate fee you will get more customers and almost guaranteed to be the leading mining OS in the crypto mining world.

Just my honest feedback, comments and feedback welcomed - because our goal for smOS and to support Tytanick is for miners to adopt his OS and invest in his OS, easily and conveniently. A win-win for all parties.
Thx, those ideas are welcome Tongue
So there should be many fee models to suit for everyone.

Thx everyone for interest in my project.
I really need supporters like You guys ! Smiley

P.S - also info for people that had me in Skype.
I created my skype account very long time ago for email like aasdasf@a.com Cheesy
Recently du to pad password attempt it has been blocked Tongue
Anyway i cant get access to it becasue i had this really stupid (anti spam) email Cheesy
So if anyone thinking why i am not responding on skype, this is reason Cheesy
1664  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Mining OS] SimpleMining.net - BETA UPGRADE 2-7% performance boost on: February 18, 2017, 12:15:57 AM
God no...
10$ monthly?  Nooo....
Max is about 2~3 $ per rig with 5 or more gpus is enough.
At the beginning i will do 1~2$ per rig per month.
1665  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Mining OS] SimpleMining.net - BETA UPGRADE 2-7% performance boost on: February 17, 2017, 11:21:22 PM
Been on sm since the release of rx support
Haven't left NH selling since the move over to SM
And not regretted once yet
Yeah sometimes I don't make the top dollar per hash
That would take to much time that I don't have to move miners blah blah
Resonable enough.
I understand you guys. Sometimes its better to use nicahash and just forget about rigs and checking what is more profitable Smiley

Little thinking after some beer Smiley
As i see and need to spend much more time on SimpleMining OS - i need to add this new feature finally - its calles fees Tongue
Faster i will add this - faster i will have real profit and i could spend much more time on SM OS.
I really have great ideas, full list on new features but only thing thats keeping me from it is debits that i need to pay every month to live.
So i spend most time on my normal work to earn for bankers. So faster i will implement fees, faster SM OS will be profitable for me and it will faster be developed.
And honestly ? I like this project. I wanted
Anyway i just wanted to say what are my goals for now:
- in first period (1-3 months) i will inform everyone about terms and i wont force anyway to pay for usage of my service
- if someone wont pay after 1-3 months period - i wont shut down his rig or do something bad it it - i would rather block possibility to change options or block some features....
- i think i will do fee calculations based on wach rig. (Meaby i will add later calculation based on gpu count)
- for example i will be taking at the beginning 0.03-0.1 $ daily for each powered on rig (recalculated to btc)
- there will be btc balance which will be shrinking every hour

I also thought about releasing my own crypto currency that would be needed to pay for my service.
Anyway i dont want own crypto as it needs more time to develop - which i dont have Tongue
Meaby ethereum ASET (like DAO) would be good idea ? What do you think about that ?
Or should i just stick to normal btc deposits ?
I like to know opinion from you guys ?

BTW. This project i had in ming in 2014 Smiley
Here is the topic Tongue
Because there was no interest - i just did not maked then Tongue

I think smOS will have more plus than minus, for having a complete list of miners and ability to mine on every known pure mining pools, and also rental mining like NH.
Ok Smiley
1667  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Mining OS] SimpleMining.net - BETA UPGRADE 2-7% performance boost on: February 17, 2017, 09:53:22 AM
In RX-os - I see frequent errors like this - it doesn't impact mining but are the temps correctly reported if miner doesn't have root access to change the temps settings?
I may have missed previous post if already reported ~ anyone have the same errors in console. Doesn't seem to be occurring in R-os.

Yep, miners wont receive root as this is more safe.
Also fan speed is used by my custom scripts. So we dont want to make fight over fan speed between 2 of them Tongue
Dont worry about it.

About adding this gateless miner, i will look into it.
Also i will look into nicehash once again. Anyway claymore works with nicehahs but you need to adjust esm value.
Still i think that giving power to nicehash is TOTALLY UNPROFITABLE Smiley
Its better to mining any crypto and sell daily. I didnt checked last rates but when i was up to date last year, i saw that NH has always worse rates than mining directly.
See whattomine. Its like 5-7 % less profit ...

1668  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Mining OS] SimpleMining.net - BETA UPGRADE 2-7% performance boost on: February 17, 2017, 08:41:23 AM
On 64-bit Windows operating systems, all you have to do for mining is to download the precompiled binary and edit and run one of the .BAT files. This miner has been tested against AMD Crimson Software 16.9.2 and NVIDIA Display Driver 376.33.
On Linux, you should be able to build the miner with the Makefile in the repository. Note that fglrx drivers are not supported and that you need RADEON PRO drivers. Please refer to the documentation of the original sgminer-gm for details.[/i][/i]

Hi,
Tell me is there need for this miner as it hase 2 disadvantages ?
- much slower than claymore
- fglrx are not supported (it wont work in R OS )

Nhan, your order of SimpleRigResetter has been shipped Smiley
It should be in your hands in about 10-13 days.
1670  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Mining OS] SimpleMining.net - BETA UPGRADE 2-7% performance boost on: February 16, 2017, 10:14:04 AM
Hi,

As a admin of Bitclouder Host www.bitclouder.co i started deploying your soft on several rigs, testing for on on 470 480 380x. I have some issue to report for example on simple mining OS R series dosent work on the gigabyte ud3/ud5 motherboard (no lan driver) and gets alot of crases from 15 rigs on R series i managed to start only 5 on your system.

It would be nice to implement atiflash tool from wolf to flash the custom bios/card and to show info about each GPU bios/version on your dashboard.

And some good news the systems that started on your OS r/rx ar working like a super car really glad that i can help you on this and it would be nice to implement some email/telegram bot notification on offline rigs

In our datacenter we have more that 500 rigs/ so it would be really nice to move all my system on your soft.

Adrian
Hi. Good to hear that.
Yep, i will again have more time to spend on SM OS.
I just released SimpleRigResetters that might interest you (auto resets hanged rigs / and also manual remote managment of power on/ off rigs from one tool. All infos here:
https://simplemining.net/page/simpleRigResetter

This bios flashing tool, yes i have that in plans.
Notifications are also in my list.
There are some things that i need to do first but about this lan driver i think i could check it.
Most propably kernel upgrade will do the trick. Please email me to admin@simplemining.net
I can give you custom kernel package to test. Someone already emaild me about this lan problem in some motherboards but i didnt had time yet.
Now i will have more time since all Resetters are sent.
1671  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [SHOP] SimpleRigResetter - Auto resets HANGED rigs - available now !!! on: February 16, 2017, 08:11:19 AM
Purpouse of those connectors are:
-chepaer cable
- LIGHTER CABLE (cheaper shipping) !!
- very easy solution to sell products without cables and save money on shipping becasue as now 80% weight are cables Sad

So in extension board there will be already 24 slots (we still making project of the board).
Then there is cheap and easy to fing and what so ever - easy and fast to made - telephonic cable.
And on the rig side there will be this. Smiley
Ofcourse at the end of those 4 cables there will be motherboard connector-pins.
1672  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [SHOP] SimpleRigResetter - Auto resets HANGED rigs - available now !!! on: February 15, 2017, 05:34:30 PM
Ok i had unexpected emergency. Becasue of that i had 1 day delay.
Anyway all orders placed up to 14.02.2017 are sent and you should receive email with all details.
If anyone didnt received email then please PM me.

Now orders will be going out smoothly Smiley

Development of Extension Boards is moving forward.
We decived to upgrade this even more.
All 24 slots on Extension Board will have RJ9 (telephonic) conectors.
The cables will be cheaper and lighter. Device cost will be bigger but summary overall experience will be better.
There will be much easier for you guys to for example order ExtensionBoards WITHOUT cables and do them yourselves Smiley
That way some far far away countried will have cheaper shipping costs.
Anyway still its too soon to tell all details, but once i will know them i will share with you Smiley

Now we can focus on SRR software/firwmare - if you guys are missing something, just tell me.
I am open for suggestions and updates.
1673  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Mining OS] SimpleMining.net - BETA UPGRADE 2-7% performance boost on: February 14, 2017, 04:44:22 PM
Hi
Is posible work with usb wifi?

And how config?

Not possible and wont support it soon.
Wifi slows down mining anyway.
1674  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [SHOP] SimpleRigResetter - Auto resets HANGED rigs - available now !!! on: February 13, 2017, 10:07:22 PM
Tomorrow all left orders should be sent. (All non EU contries).
I am sensing email to each individual about thier shipping tracking adress.
Also, i asked people to let other people know that whey received their SRR Smiley
So you will know that its not a scam Tongue
1675  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Mining OS] SimpleMining.net - BETA UPGRADE 2-7% performance boost on: February 13, 2017, 09:57:32 PM
UPDATE v1066
- updated claymore-zec to v12 (more info https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1670733.0 )
note: you need to reload/reboot rig to start using this version
1676  Economy / Computer hardware / [SHOP] SimpleRigResetter - Auto resets HANGED rigs - available now !!! on: February 12, 2017, 11:11:21 PM
Hello guys.
Simple Rig Resetter - SRR is now available for buying.
Please leave your feedback and comments or questions.
But please read whole specifications before you ask anything Smiley

SimpleRigResetter (SRR) pros over other solutions:
- propably cheaper when using more than 3-8 rigs. Even more cheaper it wil be with SRR + Extension Board for addonitional 24 Rigs . (then cost per rig will be about 10$ in 32 rigs enviroment)
- auto rebooting - programmed tools and scripts which will auto reboot hanged rigs VS manual clicking in PDU/APC (or scripting but someone must have skills and time)
- no power limitation like in PDU/APC which can give average max of ~3000 W - so max 3-4 rigs connected to one APC - thats becasue SRR doesnt transfer any 120/240V power.
- rigs isolation - if ther will be something with rig, rest rigs wont suffer from it via my device due to opti transistors (there is no phisical connection between rigs)
- turning ON feature which accually can tun ON rig obiously Tongue But is you dont have set "turn ON on power restore" or sometimes when you shutdown rig or simply bug in motherboard firmware - then rig wont turn ON automatically in other solutions.
In mine, SRR can read POWER LED is it ON or OFF and can Power ON and OFF rig via normal traditional "Power button behavior"
- you can check status of all rigs (is it turned ON/OFF) on one page.
- for big farms like 100+ rigs there is fewer devices to be managed. SRR+2 Extenstion boards can manage 56 rigs while other solutions can manage up to 4-10 max Smiley

There are both, here is the whole list.

export GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT=100
export GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS=1
export GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT=100
export GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE=100
export GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR=1

OK.

So "export GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR=1" is set permanently in smOS or only when running Optiminer?
[/quote]

Exactly, those are GLOBAL variables, no mates which miner or OS you are running.
1678  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Mining OS] SimpleMining.net - BETA UPGRADE 2-7% performance boost on: February 12, 2017, 10:22:06 PM
could you do something with that config to edit after we plug the hdd into the miner?
What do you mean ?

SET GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR=1
Is the Update v1064: - fixed "GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT is not specified!" takes care of the above?
My gut feel is that "gpu_force_64bit" and "gpu_max_alloc..." is not the same.
Can you help investigate?
There are both, here is the whole list.

export GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT=100
export GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS=1
export GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT=100
export GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE=100
export GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR=1

I tried it anyways... and knew it was new version because my rigs did not crash!
there was something wrong with v1.6.1 that my rigs would not last 1 hour

Good to know.
Anyway i need t figure out how to do ability to lock versions.
And select which one should be downloaded to rig becasue i cant keep all of them Smiley
Its so much to do Cheesy
1680  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Mining OS] SimpleMining.net - BETA UPGRADE 2-7% performance boost on: February 12, 2017, 12:08:25 AM
I dont see it in my dashboard.... logout and login again .... still no v1.6.2
v1.6.1 is still there though
Am I the only one seeing this?

Sorry, forgot to change name.
After reloading you were using newest version but only name is that i forgot to change Smiley
