Thanks! What about RX400 Support?

I have it working already but i dont have overclocking support.
I only set that manually by bios editing and then setting dpm state.
I think its workth to releasing it when i will have tool for Overclocking in linux.
2122  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: SimpleMining.net Easy OS v1005 - custom pool and miner options on: October 06, 2016, 12:32:36 PM
thats a good start  Grin

v1005 auto-update:
- all rigs updated to clyamore 7.2 and reloaded
- fixed one bootloop case
- custom pools/miner options, finally you can set everything you want !

2124  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: SimpleMining.net Easy OS v1004 - root password and eth-only option on: October 06, 2016, 08:48:06 AM
I told you guys that i had little time for this project Smiley
Anyway i dont promise but meaby to day/tomorrow i will release next update with custom miner options
2125  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: SimpleMining.net Easy OS v1004 - root password and eth-only option on: October 04, 2016, 08:27:27 PM
My advise is to check ethOS and what it offers for what payment, for the moment you are too far away, not to mention you are not as active as for something which you want to make paid...

lol i mean in some future when it will have more options ofcourse.
Now it will stay free for much longer then i thought due to lack of free time.
2126  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: SimpleMining.net Easy OS v1004 - root password and eth-only option on: October 04, 2016, 05:36:15 PM
for anyone that want to change the pool or mine Expanse for example you could PM me

i am thinking about making custom pool option for you guys.
anyway two paths of payment for service would be good:
a) auto managment and mining in my pool with 2-3% fee
b) custom options for advanced users for some $ monthly

anyway as i see custom pool is important for many users.
2127  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Modding bios RX480 4GB for linux - Bounty 4 ETH on: October 01, 2016, 05:56:51 PM

Sorry, i missed your roms, but now i testet them and here are results:
my rom is taking 155 watt from wall and doind 25MH (155w-25w=130 watt card only)
your 1850 mod is taking 160 watt from wall and doing 25,5MH (150w-25w=135 watt card only) (i set core speed to 950)
your 1950 mod is taking 185 watt from wall and doing 27MH (185-25w=160 watt card only) (your max core speed)
Anyway its still not those 100-110 watts i was hoping for Tongue
Meaby linux is setting own voltage values ? or amd driver under linux is more power consuming ?
Any thoughts ?

Edit:
With my bios and tuning it to 950/1950 i achieved 27MH at 170 watt from wall (170w-25=145w card only)

ANYWAY I TESTED SOMETHING
I put in my bios volts like 730 in all core states and 800 in all memory states.
I also made second bios and put 1000mv in all core and 100 in all memory tables.
And guess what ? The power usage in both bioses is exactly the same Smiley
Magick of linux Tongue
Anyway Polarisbios editing undervolting doesnt work on linux.
I assuge that @fran2k - you made offset voltage ?
So it isnt working neither Sad
Meaby Amd just blocked undervolting under linux and there is no possibility to get undervolting ?
And meaby i just need to go not for power efficiency but meaby hash rate (at least when its ethereum mining profitable)
But when the dark times will come - only undervolted cards will be profitable.
And i really dont want to use windows because it is really hard to manage many rigs at once on windows...
2128  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Modding bios RX480 4GB for linux - Bounty 4 ETH on: October 01, 2016, 03:07:13 PM
Please, make sure to read wattage numbers at the Wall. ADL on new AMD cards is foobar, so the only number that you can count on is power meter at the wall. So, @tytanick, repeat your comparison with a watt meter at the wall and see if there are really these kind of differences between Linux/Windows.

but this is from the wall using power meter Smiley
I said that in my previous posts Smiley
Its real usage.
2129  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: SimpleMining.net Easy OS v1004 - root password and eth-only option on: September 30, 2016, 04:56:11 PM
Testing the OS for 3 days and i'm stunned how well it performs in matter of stability. Few things I noted:
1. Sometimes when i'm clocking cards one of them stuck ot 450/501Mhz on the core and does not take the value I have put. Coming from Windows i know that this card is working well and can handle it. How to investigate/fix this ?
2. Rig Name column should be configured and sorted from A to Z as of now it's not and it's confusing.
3. GPU errors that I don't know what it means:
[ 17.607877] vgaarb: this pci device is not a vga device
[ 17.607889] vgaarb: device changed decodes: PCI:0000:02:00.0,olddecodes=io mem,decodes=none:owns=none

Keep up the good work. From the moment I see RX4XX support, fans peed control, overclocking and voltage if possible and worker name per rig i'm migrating all to this simple and well working OS.
Thanks again !

1. I will PM you about this - and see whats going on.
2. Yeah this table should be more elastic and realtime refreshed Smiley i am aware of this Tongue
3. Nothing bad, just linux debug message, all its ok.
2130  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Modding bios RX480 4GB for linux - Bounty 4 ETH on: September 30, 2016, 04:52:11 PM
this is windows command option.
In linux i am ofcourse running it without any clock or oltage settings.
2131  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Modding bios RX480 4GB for linux - Bounty 2 ETH on: September 29, 2016, 09:45:49 PM
Could you upload your original stock BIOS?

Sure:
Original:
https://simplemining.net/download/temp/480_asus_4gb_org.rom

Modded:
https://simplemining.net/download/temp/480_asus_4gb_v32.rom

So i want the same hashrate and wattage under linux as i have under windows just to be clear. (or better)

Under windows i run those options to have 100 watts at 24MH.
Code:
EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool eu1.ethpool.org:3333 -ewal 0xD69af2A796A737A103F12d2f0BCC563a13900E6F -epsw x -cvddc 810 -mvddc 850 -cclock 930 -mclock 1700 -powlim -10 -dbg -1
2132  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Modding bios RX480 4GB for linux - Bounty 4 ETH on: September 29, 2016, 03:30:01 PM
Accually i mate more tests to show what is happening:

RX 470
Windows: 24MH/s 100watt
Linux: 22,5 MH/s 144watt (this meaby should little more tuning)

RX480
Windows: 24,2MH i 103 watt
Linux: 23,5MH/s i 128 watt

Anyway, the same clocks core/memory (the same dpm) the same bios in card, and there is 25% watt more in linux.....
Why ? is linux doesnt undervolt something that windows undervolt ?
Meaby memory bus voltage isnt working ?

Bounty bumped to 4 ETH

Solved
2134  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: SimpleMining.net Easy OS v1004 - root password and eth-only option on: September 27, 2016, 01:52:37 PM
I can implement like in 10 min another miner which will have different pool, but as user authetication it must have ethereum wallet address
so i can use ethpool.
Will be this ok ?

Hi, can you implement eworker paramether option so we can specify workers in ethpool, now all goes to default. Also if possible to set fan speed by the dashboard per rig would be nice!

yeah its next step, now you can set names to your rigs, so next will be worker name in ethpool and dwarfpool Smiley
About speed option, i will make adjustable target temperature.
But can someone tell me what is wrong with temperature set to 80 C and auto adjusting fans ?Smiley

Since you are using claymore does ethman work if running on another computer with windows?

Hi, yes it should work.
 -mport -3333
try using 3333 as API port.

hi

i take this problem , no work with rx480, how config or resolved ? thanks

There is still no support for RX400
I am still working on OS for RX400...
2137  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: SimpleMining.net Easy OS v1004.1 - custom names on: September 26, 2016, 02:16:21 PM
Hello,

This is only website small update so all rigs stays on v1004 Smiley
- ability to set custom name for each rig
- option to use ethpool.org instead of dwarfpool (dwarfpool has some problems recently)

2138  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: SimpleMining.net Easy OS v1004 - root password and eth-only option on: September 26, 2016, 01:14:07 PM
i can eccept pools which as parameter "user" accept "wallet address"

So i can accept ethpool.org as it requires only wallet address to start mining.
All other pools which need to signup/create account i cant implement.
So any other than ethpool which requires eth wallet address do you have in mind ?
