Hi,

Can I mix RX480 and R9 290?
I have a rig with 4X RX480 and 1X R9 290.

regards,
Eric

No, you cant.
Different drivers (different OS version R and RX)

UPDATE v1096
miner update claymore-zec-v12.5
miner update claymore-eth-v9.4
note: you need to reload rigs to start using this servion

P.S - in next few days i will be doing server migration to new hardware.
After that i will be also making some tunings on server becasue its getting little slow as you propably noticed Tongue

Any downtime on rigs mining OR business as usual?

Rigs are mining as always - even when website is downy, they just mine with old settings Smiley
So as usual, propably some 5-20 min dashboard downtime, thats it Smiley
I will make it as painless as possible Tongue
So no big deal i guess Cheesy

I have motherboard GA-MA770T-UD3P and 5x RX 470. I can boot and mining with 4 cards fine but when I add 5th card there is a problem. Tryed another same mainboard but nothing changed

I have no idea. Can you help me please? Mainboard support 5th card i saw somebody have this board on his rigs.
Try those settings:
1) Make sure you're running the latest BIOS!
2) Enable 4G
3) Set PCIe support to "Auto" - DO NOT MANUALLY SET TO GEN1. THIS CAUSES MAJOR ISSUES
4) Enable onboard graphics startup as first! I believe this is changing "PEG" to "IGD" or something in the Advanced BIOS
5) Plug your monitor into the ONBOARD graphics
6) Use either simpleminer-RX-v1093-4.11.rc8-16.60-enableexe0ANDips0.imgc or simpleminer-RX-v1093-4.11.rc8-16.60-enablerc60.imgc (sorry, I don't remember which I used!)

Is the SIA standalone miner more profitable than claymore dual ?
Anyone have some stats ?
1325  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [DEVICE] SimpleRigResetter - Auto reboot freezed rigs - AVAILABLE NOW !!! on: May 21, 2017, 09:28:35 AM
My SRR is acting weird today. It was working fine yesterday when i set it up.
I just noticed that all my rigs are on but the first rig always on red on SRR. see screenshot https://www.dropbox.com/s/0zbazrjlwoxygyr/Screenshot%202017-05-21%2015.44.49.png?dl=0
If i try to right click to turn on rig one(red to green), it will turn off the rig because it's running.
There is another problem, i also cannot turn on rig one by itself( just happened today because it's always on red no matter what), i have to plug everything in then turn on rig 2 and it will turn rig one on with it.
How can i fix this?

I try to switch cable around and everything is working except the second slot.
I think the second slot on the board is broken.

Please confirm if one of your port is broken by plugging in workimg cable and working rig. Just yo rule out that cable or rig has problems.
If its in deed broken then write to admin@simplemining.net wit subject RMA and we can complete warranty process from there. Just please check it firat on other rig and cable. Let me know

The SRRv2 will be at the very beginning of June so i think that somewere in this date there will be available in shop. Also if you want to ne notified just write me email so o can add you to newsletter.

After rebooting the watchdog agent is not running by itself.
How to get it running when windows start?
It will run but after some delay.
You can go into services.msc (type that in START)
Find SSR Agent service
Change delayed start to normal Smiley
This will be fixed in next release of the tool.

I am having a strange issue. On the smOS website it says my rig is offline but I can see with the onboard graphics on my monitor that it is not offline and that it is mining. I also see on the pool website that the rig is active and that it is working as it should. Any suggestions to get this to display as online on the website? It usually stays online on the smOS website for 1-2 hours and then goes offline (only on the website, it is actually working fine)

Additionally, I have noticed when it is online, if I click to restart the rig, it shuts off and never comes back on.
Meaby cloudflare is blocking your ip, or you have some connection issues ?

hi, for two days everything worked great, the third day i unplug my monitor from the mobo hdmi and then my sixth gpu keeps crashing...i plug the monitor back in but it still keeps crashing until i lower my OC..why is this? two days the OC held, are hdmi dummies needed?
Something with your hardware or too much OC.
The mining world works like this.

Hello Guys,

I am new on ETH mining and simplemining tool.

My miner is now up and running with a good speed, but power usage is 150 watt per RX480 compared to windows 90 Watt.
I saw that the "Powerstage slider" has no impact. Is this working for you? can I add the powerlever per CMD or change it manually over SSH?

Thanks.
This works only with some gpus.
You need custom bios with added offset

Whoa there's a paid option? How did I miss this.. what does the paid option give us??

It's not fully implemented yet I don't think, but it's setup to be a paid service in future. Check the Account/Deposit page on the dashboard.
Guys, everyone received info Tongue
You can deposit your cash for future fees.
The fee is 2$ per rig per month.
The fee isnt yet working but in few days it will be start decreasing your account.
Anyway when you are using smos you should pay those few dolars but if you wont - then i wont disable your rig now.
Accually after some grace period i will do something annoying to force people to pay the serivce fee but i dont want to stop anyone's rig becasue it would be stipid.
So i will do something stupid like anoying captcha or something or some other limits.
Anyway if you are using, just pay, it is really very little fee. 2$ per rig which is earning 200-300$ monthly ? come one Tongue

Right now guys i am reorganising my company/ moving to other office and preparing to SSRv2 to be ready for shipping in 2 weeks.
Anyway The grouping feature is very near Wink
Let me just get those other things finish Smiley
There is also one guy working on undervolting in linux but i dont know if he will succeed in making such utility.

1328  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [DEVICE] SimpleRigResetter - Auto reboot freezed rigs - AVAILABLE NOW !!! on: May 17, 2017, 07:55:45 PM
Yes of course ,

My rigs are in my garage at home, so for example with my home PC, or tablet I managed to manage my rig without problem via SRR (search)

In local no problem.

example:
Tomorrow I go on holiday 2 week, how can I connect to my SRR?
Without the teamviewer method.

Whatever happens, the SRR must restart rig,

So in theory I should not intervene. Smiley

SRR resets automatically rigs when you install on each rig Agent and turn on watchdog in SRR.
Anyway if you want remote acces you need to:
- set up local ip address on your SRR to match the current local ip class.
- you need to make port forward udp+tcp to this SRR device.
- then you can connect using your external ip address and entering port that you forwarded.

this looks amazing, I see you liked my idea about relay switches and lan cables^^
I dont think it was your idea Cheesy
The rj9 prototype was long long ago, right after SRRv1 and after i made some cables.
I just realised that this is bad solution for mass production.
So i found on aliexpress converters rjX->4 pins and i found those:

Here is production unit of SSRv2 Smiley
It shows how the led acts near each slot.
Asl as you can see there are RJ9 connectors + adapter.

how can i connect to internet on simplemining os ?
i am using mobile modem or wifi
I dont support any wifi or modems Smiley
Only Normal Ethernet cable.

Dumb question:

I have 2 x MSI 480 8GB X graphics cards, getting around 24 mh/s out the box. Wanting to overclock to get closer to 29 mh/s. I presume I do this via the overclock settings in simple mining rather than on my windows dual boot?

I changed the core on simplemining to 1095 and the memory to 2000 and saw no increase in hash-rate...
You need to save original bios, modifu under polarisbios editor (copy 1500 strap to all above) save, flash, reboot, and then try to overclock memory to 1980-2100 - you will have much more like 28MH.
If you want 29+ then you need custom timing strap for memory (not dummy copying) .
1333  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Mining OS] SimpleMining.net - Easy to use GPU MINING Operating System on: May 15, 2017, 07:50:07 AM
Because of this https://www.phoronix.com/forums/forum/linux-graphics-x-org-drivers/amd-linux/918649-underclocking-undervolting-the-rx-470-with-amdgpu-pro-success
I can't compile the kernel the file is missing with 4.9 seems to work. Do you have any idea why the undervolted bios dose't work?
You need bios with added offset. Its working then.

Rig grouping feature is closer and closer, Now after i implemented new dashboard wit totally rewriten engine i will be able to make grouping.
So hold on. Its next on the list !

do you have an image with kernel 4.9?
No i dont, why you asking ?

Hover on name, dont you have already 16.60 amd driver ?
Also i will add new driver once i will test them, right now beta buttons are disabled.

THE NEW WEBSITE and DASHBOARD is up and running.
You can guys start making deposits for future fee system Tongue

Thanks to Soothaa continuing after I gave up. I can now run 7 570s on my 170a boards!
Anyhow, I've been carefully watching my power usage due to having to make sure I'm balancing the load of my machines across circuits. I'm not doing anything with the bios tuning to try and lower my power but I do set all them to power stage 4. With that, a 7 gpu rig runs under 1000w at the wall or just under 9 amps.
Can you tell me which image worked on Z170 ?
1338  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [DEVICE] SimpleRigResetter - Auto reboot freezed rigs - AVAILABLE NOW !!! on: May 14, 2017, 04:42:55 PM
I could make chineese cheap shit but i am not that kind of guy who want to fast earn and sell whatever. I am from Poland and i appreciate quality products as cheap ones annoying me.
Anyway the vost of SRR will return to you very fast. Just cound downtime hours of each rig and see how much you are loosing. On top of that add your precious time that you spend on driving to other location just to reboot rig. Some people are saying that my SRR cost returned after month or two(i didnt count that because it depends on many factors and each mining rig has individual crashability (is it a word ? Smiley

matmayor did you suceeded in port forwarding ?
I know its working brcause i trsted this feature myself.

BTW, when the SRR2 coming out?

How many rigs can be supported from SRR1, ie. via expansion board?

SRR1 (10 rigs) --> SRR2 (10 rigs) --> expansion board (20 rigs?)

OR

SRR1 (10 rigs) ---> expansion board (20 rigs)
SSRv2 in very beginning of June.

There will be two separate communication lines from SSR to EB.
It will look like this:

                                            -----> EB (+24 rigs) ----> EB (+24 rigs) ----> EB (+24 rigs) ----> EB (+24 rigs) ----> EB (+24 rigs)
SRRv1 or SSRv2 (basic 8 rigs)
                                            -----> EB (+24 rigs) ----> EB (+24 rigs) ----> EB (+24 rigs) ----> EB (+24 rigs) ----> EB (+24 rigs)

So one SSR + max 10 Extension Boards. = 248 rigs total managed by one SSR + 10 EB.

What benefits does the new version have over the previous?
Chnges are little cosmetic.
Added 2 leds to each slot - one will simulate when rig is powered on , second will glow when SRR will simulate button press Smiley
Also the sockets are RJ49 so you would be able to make and use own RJ9 tlephonic cables + special adapter that i am providing.
Rest hardware is the same as SSRv1 is very  good and stable product.

Shipping the same as previous. Global Express (priority package letter for about 22$ and EMS courier for about ~70$ depending on country)

On all my windows 10 machines I get this message when trying to run the agent;
Cannot start service from the command line or a debugger. A windows service must be installed (using installutil(.exe) and then started with the Server Explorer, Window Services Administrative tool or Net Start command.
Anyone knows what I need to get it to work?
I need team viewer to this windows to see whats going on.
Can you send me team viewer info so i can look at this ? -> admin@simplemining.net
