can we use a wireless usb stick for wifi in machines with smOS?
if so can someone explain process
I would recommend wire connections for mining. Wifi not so good, we were experiencing -10% hashrate.
Work it out with wires !!

This at the botom of my todo list becasue a) you sohuld use wires as carolshell said (wifi is bad accually always is bad Tongue)
It wont be supported any near "soon". There are more reafures that are more required for my OS.

Also "notes rig" is the thing i will do for sure.

This is all happening at power 7
OK check lower clocks then like 1000/1750
1503  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Mining OS] SimpleMining.net - Easy to use GPU MINING Operating System on: March 18, 2017, 10:31:29 PM
I flashed because the same thing was happening with stock bios
Can you Rise PowerStage value from 5 to 6 or even 7 and see if it will help ?
Its in the OC menu.

UPDATE v1082-1084:
- updated claymore-zec to 12.4
1505  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Mining OS] SimpleMining.net - Easy to use GPU MINING Operating System on: March 18, 2017, 10:19:29 PM
Hmmm my rigs are working fine on this specific update.
Did you mining claymore-zec before this update and just you did reload ?
1506  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Mining OS] SimpleMining.net - Easy to use GPU MINING Operating System on: March 18, 2017, 10:14:12 PM
ok i reverted it back to 12.3 in 1083 update.
Please reload your rigs again if you have problem.
I will check again this miner.

My no cheapest pendrives are booting in about 30seconds with bios loading. System only from pendrive with 8gb and usb3 is booting in about 10seconds and then starts mining.

Headless boot. Ok but after you booted you shouldnot touch anything in console itself.
All overclocking is done via simplemining.net dashboard.
Linux is little slower like 2%. Depending on configuration. But overall problems in vindows compensate this difference.

Eliovp has ofcourse right but still it some syntax will be changed then  each new version will generate problems in displaying values.
I didnt wanted to make this.
Its better to look at pool side if all your miners are hashing good speed.
Accually i have in plans implementing some api that will listen speed from most of biggest pools and i think that this is the better way to go here.
Ofcourse i will thing about this syntax.
I see that i need to make some voting list to see which features are most wanted.

Extension Board has rj45 socket.
So you use ethernet cable, but at the SRR end you will just need to cat rj45 connector off and use privided connector which is easy to make. Everything will be provided and in instruction.
Meaby even i will make some adapter to make this even easier.
Yeah that would be best idea.
On SRRvq there are two GREEN connectors which are just for Extension Boards.
You can plug two EB to those two connetrors.
The each EB also have slot for next EB and so on...
I will make this as easy as possible to clients that bought SRRv1 dont worry .

Everithing is compatible wit eachother and it will be sold with proper adapters. Dont worry.

@tytanick is it possible for the optiminer client to show just the total hashrate and when you hover over it to show individual hashrates?  I like how you have claymore eth setup but find it a bit frustrating to have to always open console to check total hashrate for optiminer.

claymore has this just because it has clean and very nice api.
I didnt check but as i renember optiminer doesnt has one so it would be very hard to do this.
You could ask optiminer developer to do that.
also is claymore zec slower than optiminer?

Quick update (Prototype) Smiley
May i present you our new products that will be available in April Smiley
SimpleRigResetter version 2 (SRRv2) and Extension Board
The only change in SRRv2 is that there will be telephonic sockets for RJ9 cables.
So you will have ability to make specific lenght on your own. To each new resetter there will be added adapter which will give you possibility to connect RJ9 to Motherboard pins Smiley
Last image shows the difference between SSRv1, SSRv2 and Extension Board which can be connected as module to both versions of SRR.

Hi T,

I noticed some rigs now have "300" in memory in RX rigs/cards.
After a reboot, it goes away but I see up 2-3 rigs at random having this issues.
It doesn't interrupt mining however, it will drop a card (reduced hash) until reboot is performed.
Can SRR detect this and apply reboot?
Or is this a function of the miner or smOS to take action?
Or is this a HW fault at GPU side?
I think in last few updates, a fix was already applied to address this issue.
Currently I dont use smOS "powerstage" and use "7" for no undervolting.
My Sapphire RX480 GPUs rigs custom modded roms and use 1100 core, 2125 memory, no undervolt = "7"

Thanks

This is bug that i am aware of, its not faulty GPU.
Its just new powerstage bug. I will fix is as fast as i can.

1517  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Mining OS] SimpleMining.net - Easy to use GPU MINING Operating System on: March 16, 2017, 11:48:50 PM
Is there a way to use atiflash and Polaris bios editor with this OS?

Also a power limit setting would be nice as some gpus need it more than others (specifically for dual mining)

Also I'm getting a lower hashrate in general dual mining with this OS compared to windows.. is that normal?
Try using lower Powerstage for less wattage.
And if you mean like 2-5% slower then yes, linux is slower in this mater.
1518  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Mining OS] SimpleMining.net - Easy to use GPU MINING Operating System on: March 16, 2017, 04:04:20 PM
Right now nvidia wont work
But i have that im plans propably 2-4 months from now.
1519  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Mining OS] SimpleMining.net - Easy to use GPU MINING Operating System on: March 16, 2017, 02:27:01 PM
Thanks a lot! it`s working!
OK, can you make another test ?
when you rig will be up to date, can you make BETA UPDATE kernel ? - you can select it in dashboard.
After reboot can you tell me if problem will be back or is it fine ?

I have either corrupted newest image or the new kernel (that is default in this new image) is generating your problem ?
I would appreciate if you could make this test.

Just the RX version. Thanks a lot!

OK ltry this image, download, flash it, and then see if it will boot.
It will be downloading MANY updates like 30+ until it will end on 1047->1081 Tongue
Anyway we can check if issue is in image or something else.

Beware (those are old images , they will download about 30 auto updates Smiley
