Is there a reason why we can dual mine decred ?  Grin

Any answer ?  Wink
can or CANT ?
1742  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [SHOP] SimpleRigResetter - Auto resets HANGED rigs - available now !!! on: January 29, 2017, 04:19:37 PM
is there a power led on the panda? i believe ssr needs the power led leads also to see if rig is currently on or off.

yes  but  it is all soldered /hard wired

If there will be need, i can do other device which will cut off/on power to rigs.
But only if there will be demand to do that. I already have this kind of devices (it was first idea what i produced)
1743  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Mining OS] SimpleMining.net - BETA UPGRADE 2-7% performance boost on: January 29, 2017, 08:39:12 AM
little silly request , can we have option to adjust sys clock and time zone ?
I have that in plans Smiley , When ready , i will everyone let know.
1744  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Mining OS] SimpleMining.net - BETA UPGRADE 2-7% performance boost on: January 28, 2017, 09:34:07 PM
I changed my MB from Asrock 970 Extr. 4 to H81 Pro today.

OC is "3" for GPU clock and 0 for Mem, worked fine with the Asrock for all GPUs (PCIe x1 or x16).
Now with the H81 the GPU in the only PCIe x16 slot (PCIe slot #2) is still on stock GPU clock.. the rest is working fine (clocked at "3").

Maybe you can figure something out for the next update? Any idea?
Did you try to apply BETA KERNEL ? - it solves most OC problems and increases speed Smiley
1745  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Mining OS] SimpleMining.net - BETA UPGRADE 2-7% performance boost on: January 28, 2017, 07:13:34 PM
btw, Tytanick, can you include the "local IP address" info in the next update. My entire farm is now on SMos and I have lost control over IP addresses -- I depended on Claymore's ethman before this.

I wanted to rest but accually my girfriend went with her friend and i am bored Tongue
Here you have it:

UPDATE 1059:
- added IP address when hovering on "name"

1746  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [SHOP] SimpleRigResetter - Auto resets HANGED rigs - available now !!! on: January 28, 2017, 06:57:11 PM
It was exactly what i was looking for the last 3 years but i could not find it Tongue
And i wasted so much time and mining hours for driving to hanged rigs ....
Finally OVER !

Well this project is well worth it for you and also the mining community.
Overtime, I hope you can continue to improve it so that it's as easy and point and click to manage multiple GPU rigs.... and maybe others too.

I am wondering how to make use of SRR on the Pandaminers.... anyone has opened the Panda and checked if the pins are available for SRR?
Are Panda miners hanging itself ?
I assume pandaminer has normal motherboard ? or not ? Cheesy
If you have Power button and Power led then propably there are those pins Tongue
Anyway  opening pandaminer could result in warranty loose ?

AWESOME!!  That will make your awesome tool even more awesome. Another question - I have the config file set to my email address.  Rigs 1-4 registered and logged in fine.  Rig 5 and 6 said register but 1 is mining to probably your address for EU ZEC site and the other is something else.  What else can I do to update / fix this issue?
Please PM me to admin@simplemining.net
I can check it.
1748  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Mining OS] SimpleMining.net - BETA UPGRADE 2-7% performance boost on: January 28, 2017, 06:24:07 PM
@ Tytanick / admin - What is the ETA for the update that will show total hash per rig and total hash for all the rigs?  I think that is a much needed feature when you have many rigs to catch issues / discrepancies quicker.

This is at the bottom of my todo list so very long or even never.
Only Claymore has api for counting speed, so it would work only and only for claymore Sad
And also second thig why i wont do that is that you can already whatch this in pool Tongue
Also pool has alerts and detailed mining speeds of each miner.
As i dont control hash power (no proxy or other stuff) - it is very complicated to do this in my dahsboard.
Only thing i could do (what came to me 3 seconds after writing above sentence Tongue - is to get those stats from api from POOL.
That could be done and accually it is pretty good idea. I will add it but still not soon.

Hi Tytanick,

Just curious, will your SMos have the watchdog agent installed and polling the SRR by default? Or do we need to install it separately?

I am assuming from the GUI, that you can set values in seconds to initiate reboot at rig if no heartbeat after x seconds/minutes.

Since the SRR basically takes over the on/off switch -- can I issue a command to power off the rig, and power on after 5 minutes?

Thanks
Ofcourse SimpleMining OS will have installed utility and options in web interface to manage SRR Smiley
It will be implemented  in next 2 weeks
5 min cooldown, yes. Some rigs wont turn on after problem right away and there are need to be turned off for few minutes.
This option is already programmes and its called LONG REBOOT Smiley

This is great i already did a preorder Smiley so.. lets see.
I am using ethos and i would love to conect them and work like  one device and auto reboot when a gpu crashed
Thanks!
No problem, All windows and linux are supported !

Also:

SimpleRigResetter (SRR) pros over other solutions:
- propably cheaper when using more than 3-8 rigs. Even more cheaper it wil be with SRR + Extension Board for addonitional 24 Rigs . (then cost per rig will be about 10$ in 32 rigs enviroment)
- auto rebooting - programmed tools and scripts which will auto reboot hanged rigs VS manual clicking in PDU/APC (or scripting but someone must have skills and time)
- no power limitation like in PDU/APC which can give average max of ~3000 W - so max 3-4 rigs connected to one APC - thats becasue SRR doesnt transfer any 120/240V power.
- rigs isolation - if ther will be something with rig, rest rigs wont suffer from it via my device due to opti transistors (there is no phisical connection between rigs)
- turning ON feature which accually can tun ON rig obiously Tongue But is you dont have set "turn ON on power restore" or sometimes when you shutdown rig or simply bug in motherboard firmware - then rig wont turn ON automatically in other solutions.
In mine, SRR can read POWER LED is it ON or OFF and can Power ON and OFF rig via normal traditional "Power button behavior"
- you can check status of all rigs (is it turned ON/OFF) on one page.
- for big farms like 100+ rigs there is fewer devices to be managed. SRR+2 Extenstion boards can manage 56 rigs while other solutions can manage up to 4-10 max Smiley

Hi Phil,

What is the cost & benefit comparison between a switched PDU like APC vs SRR?

SRR being a cost effective  with standard parts vs "professional" systems like APC, Triplite etc.

I believe SRR is a "few hundred dollar" solution (with mining features) versus "a few thousand dollar" solution (with data centre features?) out there.

Thanks

From my point of view:

Okay I seem stable on the panda and two other rigs.

I am going to move more rigs here soon.

So what is the limit of rigs?  I would stay with 8-15 rigs.

I also Need to decide if I need SRR all rigs are in my home  So a rest is pretty easy.  But I do vacation.

My pdu  can be turned on and off via the internet.  So I may not need SRR.
There is no limit of rigs.
My server has great performance and still it is used in like 5% of all CPU power.
There cant be limit, it would make no sense Tongue
Only limit is that showing 100+ rigs, is little hard on one page and some sorting needs to be done.
But i have this in plans ofcourse Smiley
SRR ok. Nobody forcing you to buy this Smiley It is optional device and it is separate project from Simple Mining OS.

It's possible to have dual boot with windows ?
No, only switching discs (i mean windows on ssd and my system on pendrive)

We want linux Miner, not windows one bleh...
1755  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Mining OS] SimpleMining.net - BETA UPGRADE 2-7% performance boost on: January 27, 2017, 07:01:38 PM
https://sourceforge.net/projects/pascalcoin/
Linux miner is listed there - haven't tried it yet.
I tried the Windows one and have mined solo but you need wallet to be online -- cant imagine how that works with SMos since you need wallet setup too.... maybe wallet on windows and linux miner solo mode to wallet rig IP?
Nope, there is no linux miner at this point. Only windows shitty one which even doesnt find blocks Smiley
Suprnova is getting pool up and running but still there is no linux miner.
Anyway mining PASCAL is 10x more profitable at this moment than ETC/ETH Smiley
Still mining solo with buggy miner its completly no point Cheesy

Is accually miner from here will work?
Or do we need for forked miner ?
Meaby someone already have right miner with modded sha256 algho ?

I am currently looking at PascalCoin and waiting for linux miner for imlement, but still none Tongue

Yeah the zec at 1980 clay 11.1 is good.

I will do the other xmr later tonight.

sgminer-gm on XMR seems doing well with RX cards.

XMR wolf miner seems to do well for non-RX cards

Claymore's XMR/Cryptonight miner v9.7 is pretty good too but still has room to improve for RX cards.... still waiting for Claymore to do something but he said he working on the ZEC miner first then the XMR miner.

I must be too tired can't seem to get Sgminer-gm to work .

I want to use nano pool . I will try tomorrow.

Wolf worked  okay but not with the panda.  It is missing a file for 8 gpus

i am using sgminer-gm for XMR mining at nano pool too.... here my command line (Poloniex address) with a primary and secondary servers.

--no-submit-stale --kernel cryptonight -o xmr-asia1.nanopool.org:14444 -u 47sghzufGhJJDQEbScMCwVBimTuq6L5JiRixD8VeGbpjCTA12noXmi4ZyBZLc99e66NtnKff34fHsGR oyZk3ES1s1V4QVcB.9cdbd8b36001de38c57faf8052ea7d1a4d4eebe70cf0f55576a3d1a99607be cc -p x  -o xmr-us-west1.nanopool.org:14444 -u 47sghzufGhJJDQEbScMCwVBimTuq6L5JiRixD8VeGbpjCTA12noXmi4ZyBZLc99e66NtnKff34fHsGR oyZk3ES1s1V4QVcB.9cdbd8b36001de38c57faf8052ea7d1a4d4eebe70cf0f55576a3d1a99607be cc -p x --rawintensity 1008 -w 8 --text-only

I think this will work   one question

  -w 8 --text-only   <  what does this do?

thx to text-only we can see in console Smiley
Without it console wont show details.

Only ZEC end ETH Claymore is fully compatible with new and-gpu drivers.
Rest XMR especially is not compatible with new drivers so thats why isnt working Smiley

How does the "Instruction manual" look like?
I am using the SRR in conjunction with your Simple Mining OS.
Honestly ? As now it looks like blank page Cheesy
I will be writing this in next week but it is not complicated :p
There will be instruction
- how to connect rigs to SRR
- how to install and configure SRR Agent on windows/linux
- how to use SRR Tool

Nothing complicated. Alyway there wont be Paper instruction but PDF one with as many pictures as i can Tongue
