2201  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Traders paradise on: April 22, 2022, 11:42:09 PM
Before I started cryptocurrency trading I have always hard this friend who is a pro cryptocurrency trader and have always shown me his profits but never told me how long he has been into cryptocurrency trading, but I have known him for crypto trading for close to two years now and in this period I only saw his success stories.
If you like to follow your friend what he says, I could imagine that you need 2 years to spend learning to trade as well. I'm going to say that your friend doesn't really make good in trading, in fact, he was afraid to tell you about his sufferings before he got a profit and then show it to you.
Quote
Now I decided to start trading after many persuasion and am beginning to have a rough experience but all the while I have only viewed cryptocurrency trading as an all good venture
What if your friend tells about his losses in trading, does still it makes your mind to push it? I won't discourage you to become a trader but I want you to think that trading isn't for everybody. However, if you really have the willingness to take risks, that's up to you.
2202  Economy / Economics / Re: What should be a good ROI for a startup? on: April 21, 2022, 11:20:24 PM
Entrepreneurs struggle with their ROI on businesses. Starting a business is not a difficult task but sustaining it becomes challenging. I've seen a numerous companies go bankrupt after good years of sales. Knowing the reason behind is lack of future projections.

According to you, what should be the ROI for newly launched startups?

My views are around 15% per annum but it would take around 6.6 years to earn the initial amount back. Would it be a bad decision?
15% isn't bad, it is actually good for the start-ups. Target will also change and possibly it grow depending on the situation and business results.

In fact, Big companies will not look for quick returns but what they consider is how their company becomes sustainable in the long run as ROI starts mostly after 5 years since the start of their operation. That is why they need some backup money in order to sustain and remain in the operation.

But, this is not only the thing we may consider, some companies declare bankruptcy because of their poor management and no concrete plan. The failure of the companies not really because of money but it was because of the staff who manage and involve in the operation.
2203  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How was last crypto bear market on: April 21, 2022, 10:50:30 PM
This question is for those that are here when bear market of 2018 stormed the crypto space, how doesn't it feel like? All those staking for perceive income makes sense at all? Or returns went so bad and makes staking looks like a bad idea? How does it felt like.
It was so bad, but at the same time it was somehow a great opportunity for me to buy more Bitcoin. I did not panic that much, but of course kind of scared cause that was the lowest of Bitcoin since I invested the first one in 2017.
It is just another "crash" or another opportunity to buy more. It was a risky move for me to buy more, but it was worth it.
Well, I believe most of us had felt worried and selling our coins as the majority have been thinking that this was the end of crypto. Fortunately, we were still given the chance and it recovers. But I'd never see this thing happen again as many people have been educated already and learned the past.
The year 2017 is proof to say that crypto is growing and it continues spread globally. Market TRUST has been developed already and we could assume that the market will be going better and better.
2204  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: April 21, 2022, 06:50:39 AM
Looks like the Bulls is the 2nd team to make an upset here.

Have you guys bet on the Bulls spread or the moneyline?
I can't even remember the Moneyline odds anymore but I'm sure it's as high as +400 or more.

Bucks still trying to make it a close game but I think it's going ot be the Bulls winning this game.

Yeah, whoever gets that Bulls ML bet are too lucky. I don't even expect them to win in game 2, but it's pretty evident in game 1 that they really match up with the Bucks well, and in game 2, they did not miss the chance to beat the home team.

DeRozan is goating with 41 points while Vucevic and LaVine also had some major contributions with 24 and 20 respectively.
2205  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: April 21, 2022, 06:30:38 AM
Impressive for Bulls holding off a Bucks' comeback in the second half. It's also a different DeRozan this time compared to his poor shooting in game 1. Game 3 will be tricky for me as because of injuries to Middleton and Portis. I'll wait for updates before placing a bet on this one. I would most likely pick Bucks if they're all healthy.

I didn’t think the Bulls would be able to beat the Bucks a single game in the series so I’m surprised and impressed. They’ve struggled all year against teams over .500 so for them to beat the Bucks in the playoffs is a pretty huge sign they’re giving it their all. The real story of the night for me was the Nets losing again to Boston. They’re putting themselves at risk of being eliminated. Kyrie and KD both had horrible shooting nights, while Jalen Brown looked like the best player on the floor. I don’t know what the Nets need to do to change the trend, but I know if KD and Kyrie shoot like they did tonight there’s no way they’re beating anyone.

Agree. They need to focus on the FG improvement and free throw of there bench player. Claxton free throw is joke while Seth always missed the supposed to be the crucial score they need to get momentum. I don't expect this kind of line up will gonna go to finals. Nets is a mess if Kyrie and Durant is not doing well. There bench player is completely useless in crucial times.

Sometimes thing are different when a team is playing on the road, let's see in game 3 if the Nets would win the game. If we are going to bet on the Nets, bet on game 3 as it's a must win for them, and as history suggest, a team that is down 3-0 has no chance of coming back in the series.
2206  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can newbie become rich with trading on: April 20, 2022, 11:26:40 PM
Trading look like a hard to understand game and for any new person in trading making profits is always hard that is why am here to ask how can a newbie make profit trading coins and what manual can be followed.
You could definitely have that kind of possibility on making yourself rich but it would vary on different factors or circumstances.

1. How well you do trade
2. How much would be your capital
3. Sustain
4. Emotion/Capital management

Dont rush up on doing things because this would result into mistake.
In addition to this list,
 * We have to know our limitation
And OP must understand that trading is not the fastest way to earn money and make us rich. But yes, It was very certain to make a profit in trading if we are also willing to learn and follow advice from others. As the way we think positively and focus on our trading plan, it is too possible we able to reach our goal and become rich, but of course, just it takes time.
2207  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's preventing bitcoin from worldwide adoption? on: April 18, 2022, 09:21:58 PM
snip...
I do not think that we need governmental help. I mean it would be great if it happens but we do not "need" it, it is good to have and nothing more. There are also some governments that back it up as well, so it is not really that much of a big deal, it is going to be something special when big nations back it up and the price will go up and that's understandable, the adoption will go through the roof when that happens.

Some government leaders had already realized the value and importance of crypto in today's era, they'll somehow have seen that the use of crypto makes people's lives more comfortable than the use of fiat money. It was certainly visible and I believe their strong support helps the market adoption grow as people will see assurance which is one of the things to consider. The government really has the influence that surely bumps the market once publicly announced.
2208  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does trading really works? Likely based on guesses on: April 18, 2022, 08:46:29 PM
...

10) Trading does not guarantee profit: Traders always post their profits but are scared of showing their losses. Trading is difficult, you can only become a winner through luck.

That was true. Traders make profits and losses together but never think this is all about having luck, unlike gambling. Trading requires DEEP knowledge and skills which I believe these newbies don't have that is why they usually end up losing, more on losing rather than making a profit.

You actually have the point there citing that traders just only show their profit, not losses. Honestly, they are just making themselves proud of it and wanted to show that we can make money in trading. Thinking it was difficult was just at the start but in the long run and have more experience that makes it even easier.
2209  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Desktop wallet vs Mobile wallet on: April 18, 2022, 12:57:15 PM
Between mobile and a desktop wallet which one do you prefer the most and why? Again I think desktop wallets have more open source wallets than mobile, which desktop wallet is the best open-source wallet that you know of?
They have advantages and purpose, and that is why I have them and used them both.
Mobile wallet- it seems very accessible anytime and anywhere we go, unlike with desktop wallet.

An electrum wallet user here installed on my desktop and a non-custodial wallet for my phone. I'd say they are the best crypto wallet I used for many years and I don't think about changing unless their services are no longer acceptable until they are still reliable and kept my funds safely.

2210  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Errol Spence Jr vs. Yordenis Ugas 3-Belt Welterweight Unification Match on: April 18, 2022, 12:15:12 PM
Nope we can say its different because Pacquaio camp is well prepared against Spence and we know his fight is originally schedule with Spence and not with Ugas. Ugas name has pop up surprisingly when Spence cannot make it due to some issue so the preparation time of Pacquaio against Ugas at that time is short so that's affect the whole fight since he didn't scout well his opponent.

Pacman could have said no to Ugas if he doesn't feel he will win. Actually, Pacman has already passed his prime, so it's understandable that he would lose to a younger and stronger fighter, that's alright mate, he already retired, no need to discuss what happened with the "IFS" and everything. Ugas won that fight clearly, while Ugas lose to Spence clearly as well.
2211  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: April 18, 2022, 11:45:33 AM

Yeah, I was surprised by the results. Checked the highlights and saw Chicago Bulls fighting hard on the defensive end and even got the chance to take the lead for a short period of time. Perhaps now they realized what they are missing that's why they keep on losing in the season. Defense.
That's my only loss for this day and got me thinking if the spreads will stay at +10 for the Bulls I might take it next time.
It resulted in a low-scoring game, at one time the Bulls has taken the lead IIRC but Bucks also made their big run. This is a different Bulls that I'm seeing, their center is always playing very well, looks like this is not a swept by the Bucks, the Bulls are sure gonna win at least one game at home.
2212  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: April 18, 2022, 11:04:11 AM
The playoffs have just started and we've already had some interesting games
I was impressed with the Grizzlies defeat against Timberwolves, I didn't imagine this could happen.

As we can see, I believe we will have some competitive and interesting games in these playoff games.

Standing on regular season is just a number when it comes to playoffs because you are playing against different teams on regular season which doesn’t give other team to adjust. In playoffs, both team especially the team with low standing already carefully study the opponents gameplay base on there previous matches. Timverwolves is very strong during play-in tournament and considering they still have the momentum, I’m not surprised that they defeat Grizzlies on there first match for the playoffs. Let’s see if they can close the series.

It was really a surprise that they upset the home team in game 1, but regardless, it's still one game and no one could win a series with one game win only. That win is good as it only tells that the Timberwolves are a good playoff team and they can give a good challenge to the Grizzlies.
2213  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: NO RISK, NO REWARD on: April 18, 2022, 05:38:31 AM
Any investment certainly has risks, just like crypto investments, especially with these ups and downs in crypto market conditions. Not all investors experience profits, there are also those who experience losses. so it really depends on how we manage the crypto assets that we have. no reward is obtained for free, it takes hard work in it in order to get profitable results. our job is to learn to accept the risks that exist and deal with them with knowledge and experience that is owned as a provision to face the unpredictable crypto market. all of that does need a process and sometimes the process is a little harder to train our mentality before moving forward.
Perhaps, we are aware of what we are trying to and it was already understood that investing is risky. They surely know that before they start and they are experiencing losses, it wasn't the market to be blamed, it is literally our fault.

Ideally, this investment is only for the risk-takers and those who are not afraid to lose their money just like how these gamblers do gambling.
NO RISK = No Reward- kinda be obvious.
2214  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is this also your strategy to avoid hitting your stop loss early? on: April 17, 2022, 10:26:30 PM
I know that lower margin and low leverage are also farther away from the liquidation price, so is it okay to set low margin and low leverage first to avoid losing if your strategy doesn't work, and then add if does the price follow your strategy? Is this also your strategy?

Why not try trading with spot at first place and then become a pro at it.
After that may be you can try using leverage and try to increase it from 2x to 5x as and when you progress at your trading skills.

This becomes hard for OP as he is trying to put himself in a place where he is not yet fully gain knowledge about trading. It is better for OP to start learning spot trading first before stepping up on leverage and margin trading. I'd presume, in this way this makes him fully understand how trading works.
No rushing OP and have to be aware that leverage trading is somewhat difficult for the beginner and those who just have limited knowledge. It is found to be the best to start from the basic (spot trading) and make use of that experience for the next level.
2215  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Airdrop in 2022 on: April 17, 2022, 02:27:16 PM
I have tried my luck in early adopter airdrops. Although some of them have paid me decently like the Aqua, Fox and DappRadar, most of them who are using Telegram bot are simply “trash”. So this is just more on being lucky because those who are having lots of referrals are likely going to receive much bigger (but not all of them like the recent FaceDAO). Ain’t a fan of participating in a lot of airdrops anymore.
Felt you mate for that was also what I've experienced lately. It wasn't just like 4-5 years ago as the majority of the free coins are valuable, I can even sell them at a decent price. But now, we are just looking for a needle on the grass, looking for something hard to find legit and valuable airdrops as the majority of them are fake.

I wasn't expecting this will change, perhaps, airdrops now are less noticed rather than being participated by many. It was the time to forget about the airdrop, I think.
2216  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: April 17, 2022, 11:38:36 AM
Well, we can understand though because they missed their 2 best players, and with that said, it's impossible for the Nuggets to heavily rely on Jokic alone.
IIRC, Nuggets were swept by the Suns last playoffs, I have a feeling that it will be the same result this playoffs because no one is stepping up, like a big-time step up for the team to win, Gordon was expected to step up but his contribution was too small to get noticed.

I would say, Warriors in 4.  Smiley
2217  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Scammer get scammed on: April 17, 2022, 11:25:07 AM

I have one question am I a scammer too or did I do  wrong by not sending him his Etherume back because after this incident my conscience has been beating me.
 stay safe.

In the first place, How would you know that he is a scammer? Because in that situation, it turns out that you are a scammer, you're making a deal with someone who even sends you first. It is never an excuse if it is the time of your presentation, for sure there is a time for you to reply to him and make him aware of your situation.

It was a big mistake to trust strangers but if you are not really a scammer, you will send back his money and clear your reputation. Feel your conscience and do what is the best thing to do, for sure you know it and to prove that you are not a scammer.
2218  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Errol Spence Jr vs. Yordenis Ugas 3-Belt Welterweight Unification Match on: April 17, 2022, 11:16:27 AM
Congrats Spence. Almost, if refs did not pause the fight to check on Spence, Ugas could have go for a KO as one time in the fight he hurt Spence bad. The comments I saw were saying that refs are rigging the fight, I don't know, don't want to judge but it looks like it. LOL.

Anyway, this fight is very entertaining, it's a toe to toe fight and Spence showed his power if was a TKO (stoppage) because the doctor might not want to see Ugas blind if the fight still continues.

It's interesting to note though that the ref (Lawrence Cole) was the same ref on the Manny Pacquiao vs Antonio Margarito fight where he refuses to stop the fight even though the eyes of Margarito were damaged and bloodied on that day. Seems to me that he favored Margarito that day, the same that he favor Barrera in his first fight Pacman, just my cents lol.

This ref should be investigated, he was criticized by the announcer when he stop the fight a bit to give Spence a breather, that was wrong, Ugas could have KO Spence if ref did not do that because there was plenty of time left on that certain round.
2219  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Which trading indicators/traders would you recommend? on: April 16, 2022, 10:45:19 PM
Not an indicator type of trader, am all about naked charts and a touch of technical analysis but depending on which assets you are trading, for example if you trading currencies use tools like the kill switch found on trading view and its a handy tool for me has it shows when markets are most volatile for faster market moves and bigger profits but anything else I just read they charts as they are.
That's up to you mate. What makes it important is we are making a profit, not huge losses.
Even for me, TA and FA are very important in trading rather than using trading indicators but if we are looking to increase our chances, these indicators seem of huge help. And aside from that, even the use of all indicators never means that we are already safe and have a profit assurance, the results of our trades determine how we respond to the market condition which depends also on how we make decisions.

In general, it all lies in decision-making and in how we evaluate the market. Sometimes we neglect to follow the indicators as we follow our emotions. That was the fact.

I've been wondering, is there a way to live by crypto alone and stay away from Fiat? Everyone is talking about privacy and decentralization but Fiat is breaking that boundary always, the moment you want Fiat after having some crypto your privacy is ruined.
It is totally early to consider or have the thought of living by crypto alone without the use of fiat currency. Besides, Satoshi Nakamoto created Bitcoin to serve as an alternative payment system, and the last time I checked if you want to use cryptocurrency as day to day payment you will need to go through KYC unless you want to make use of p2p and there's a limit to the product and services you can get through p2p.
I was still in the hopes that crypto will consider a legal tender worldwide and keep that message from Satoshi had realized. It has been noticed that many want to live with the use of crypto alone, and are thinking that this will save and keep their privacy. However, the situation had changed already, P2P transactions, major exchanges are now asking for KYC, it looks like from time to time crypto had lost its privacy and just be like fiat and these exchanges turn into banks that we need to submit our personal information.
