Once again ty

LUKE

i have it complied and working inside minera as my main miner for my G black and Zeus miners and seems even more stable now.

but yea how about that S5 support, ofc, when you get time  Smiley .
2262  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: newbie question about solo mining on: September 07, 2015, 10:42:31 AM
also try this one , i use eligius.st as my main pool if you want a instant payout then eligius.st is not the one you want and i use Slushes as my back up or investment pool as i call it .  at slushes you can set and take any payout you want . no limit other then there is a fee if it's below 0.01 btc it pays out every hour .

https://mining.bitcoin.cz  aka slushes   pool Smiley .

here is a start up link for it etc  https://mining.bitcoin.cz/help/#!/get-started/mining_beginners

it is the very first BTC mining pool ever started, if the POP is telling us right, i trust him and believe him .
2263  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Need help with my Antminer S5s on: September 07, 2015, 10:21:07 AM
mybad the dns IP should be 192.168.1.1  unless you use a custom  DNS .

On DNS server I really like 8.8.8.8 that is Google's DNS server.  Very easy to remember and I have used it in many different miners.

Never had a problem with it you might give it a try.

try out Dnsjumper that dns i use is a more secure one, so I'm told or read  Smiley. I have used google well most of the public dnses they all seem to work about the same. Grin, do indeed work .

http://www.sordum.org/7952/dns-jumper-v2-0/   nest little program I found looking for  why I would want a custom DNS, a while back . Smiley .
2264  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Need help with my Antminer S5s on: September 07, 2015, 04:16:51 AM
plug one Antminer in for now

then down load this http://www.advanced-ip-scanner.com/index1.php?utm_expid=62919999-14.Cr_MP2nHRIqk-1pmkBGelw.1&utm_referrer=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com  then find out what the  IP of that antminer is ,  it should look some thing like this with the Scanner 192.168.1.xxx Texas Instruments,  if you click that in the IP scanner it should give you a drop down menu which you can click on

that will put you in the antminer UI which you want for now.

once it pops up the UI to log in type for both the user and password:  root.

once in the UI i would set the IP to a static IP under the network tad at the top and make it some thing like this 192.168.1.2xx id go  200 or above, so there is no conflicts with your network.

the way it looks you haven't set any pools yet because you can 't get in to the Antminer UI . it appears to be hashing fine from the lights you showed Polly  on one of the pools set by default by antminer and Polly the very bottom one in the UI you being in the US ? .").

The rest is super easy once you can access the miner UI on your laptop, that appears to be the problem ? .

Then Unplug that antminer once your in and it's set how you want it etc .( Unless your ok at this point then leave it plugged in but do one antminer at a time ). EACH ANT gets it's own IP  Smiley .
then plug in the other ant, do the same thing as above then plug them both in and boot up then you should have access to them via your laptop by the  IP you set to the static ip, please take note of those two IP's or keep the IP scanner installed on your PC .

to be honest i have yet to get the thing bitmain directed you to, to work right, I sure it does but Ive found better ways of doing it .

what the static IP your setting it to make sure to take note of that . are you typing in the right ip did  you set up the static IP right .something like  192.168.1.xxx .

just type those numbers not http or www in your browser.

mybad the dns IP should be 192.168.1.1  unless you use a custom  DNS .

you can't just set it to static and leave the rest of the lines blank been there done that etc , that's why i linked a Picture of how to set it to a static ip the way it's looks, like you clicked on static then logged out and left the rest blank ? .
2265  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: WARNING - Blessinghash's ASICs research! on: September 06, 2015, 09:35:58 AM
my question would be how are they selling something that was really never made aka  300MH Zeusminer for $1,119 , unless i missed it some place and it was, in that case were can i buy one Tongue) ?

wouldn't that be enough to tell anyone not to buy form them, if you know how Zeus was.  if you go look for that miner i found one on sell for 793  $  lol . at some not so cool site selling it .
2266  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Purchase of bitfury server product BF4500 on: September 06, 2015, 01:48:48 AM
I was looking at the S7 two days ago without realising that the BF4500 miner that i though it wanted was actually worse than the S7. The S7 can be run at a maximum of 4.87 TH/s and I am pretty sure it only needs 1600-2000W at the wall.

some here will have it doing 5th + once they get it .the PSU Im willing to bet  can be a 1400 watt one with some over clocking room you may even get a way with using a 1300 watt one but that's pushing it with no clocking and under clocking sense this chip is suppose to allow that.

I'm so hoping bitmain sells chips, if so I'll have a custom made S7 that i can afford sense it looks like no smaller S7 are planed other wise i have to wait a month or two to get a S7, I'll have one sooner or later when price allows it till then I'll use my S5s and look for deals on S5s Smiley  and save for it, hope bitcoins go up in price i know the S7 will to but if the bitcoins go up enough bitmain won't kill there self unless greed gets the best of them.

Hello,

Don't know if that's the right place to ask that question but here I go: I'm having a bug issue. When I plug more than two Gridseeds on my Raspberry Pi, the PI just freezes when the miner starts or when th pi boots. I can't figure out why since there is apparently nothing in the logs. I have tried with different Raspberry Pies but of different generation but always got the same results. I thought memory/swap could be the problem but do you think it could be the Pi which doesn't deliver enough power to USB? Something with Serial communication?

I haven't tried yet to launch cpuminer manually to figure out if it would do the same thing. I'll do a test tomorrow. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

question are you only using the PI, by that I  mean just the ports on the PI no external USB hub , if so you may need a self powered USB 2  hub with 2 to how ever ports you want 2 to 20  etc .  the PI in some cases can and can't power it own ports if that makes sense, it may freeze up.  so  buy a USB 2 self powered hub.  why I say USB 2 is no PI yet i know of can use a USB 3 and may not work with a PI even if it says it will default to USB 2 in most cases it doesn't .

which PI : PI one PI b model or the PI 2 B model . how are they powered etc.

TIP :  if you have a USB 3 hub laying around not being Used or bought by mistake, they can power any PI , Ive tried, done it , and it works well as one way of powering 1 or two PIs, with the right plug with one USB 3 hub .

Hey Mich, been meaning to say this, sorry, i didn't till now or think I didn't till now : great JOB ON FIXING the Calculations now all my Zues or any miner i run Thu Minera is very stable to that degree.

TY again for that Great work at fixing it.
2269  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Purchase of bitfury server product BF4500 on: September 05, 2015, 04:14:52 PM
Where can I buy these:

BF4500

Are there any Legitimate and Trustworthy sites? What value will they be? http://aryadutaminer.com/buy-the-bitfury-bf4500-45ths-and-free-shipping.html: Is this Legit?

That bitfury miner is real that i know of but

be very care full with this site there was never a Zeusminer VOLCANO 300Mh/s @1000W ever made in fact Zeus kind of ripped a lot of people selling it. they went from being a good to bad company with no reason why . and the Antminer L1 never sold to the Public if it was ever made at all, there is still some debate on that . bitmain made every one happy when they didn't come thu back in Dec/Jan of this year .

There selling gear that was either never made or not sold to the public at all .

IF you want one of those why not buy a antminer S7 you may end up paying the same and you will for sure get one unless bitmain went bad .

https://bitmaintech.com/productDetail.htm?pid=00020150827084021471OHYdwd9D06A0   atm i can't afford a s7 or id have one on order .

2271  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: DIY S1 to S3 adapter-board on: August 29, 2015, 04:02:53 AM
I am ignorant here or what? I dont understand the need for this??

Am i to take this is really a custom controller for the S3 (Made from the idea of a S1 controller)

If so is the only benefit here is for S3 owners who have had the controller die & need a replacement?

it does what the up grade did Smiley .the S1 to S3 upgrade came with that board + the cables needed .the two  heat sinks on each side are not really needed on the S3 . I'm running a S3 i upgraded I had enough parts for , running without the two heat sinks just the big ones you screw them on, it runs may be 1 to 2 degree hotter then the real S3 i have in a case . I'm thinking only reason it does is because it's not a case.

he made  a working adapter-board to convert S1 controller work with S3 blades

and pretty much all you need is a controller and the hash boards and some way of cooling it . you got a cheap miner with some good use left still. depends what boards OFC .
2272  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: DIY S1 to S3 adapter-board on: August 29, 2015, 03:34:11 AM
I'm sorry if this is an ignorant question... Are there resources to purchase just the S3 blades? I picked up 4 of the original upgrade kits, but I still have a few S1's that could benefit from updating. I see more S1 blades for sale or S3's with 1 bad blade.

A while back on ebay some one was selling a few S3 boards i was able to pick up two, i had a S1 laying around but no way to use those boards power wise, i was going to buy two more boards before they sold out and maybe another S1, didn't buy them fast enough.  so all i need is a way to run those two boards, why i need it:) .Ive have been tiring to buy either a power converter card s1 to S3 at a reasonable price which this will do  or a S 3 controller at a reason able price, I'll make my own cables, if i have to.  it won't be hard.

but yea from time i come across parts i can use but need other parts  to run them that still have a lot of us left in them .

I watch ebay a lot and waiting for some one to post S5 and more S3 boards, i need two just had a S5  go up with 16 pin boards .i can sell off that broke S5 if want to and get 112 to 200 depends, what i want to hold out for . just sold one that needed two 18 pin boards for 112, if I held out and  re posted it, could have got more .
2273  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: DIY S1 to S3 adapter-board on: August 28, 2015, 11:50:17 PM
nice price I'll pay 30 to 35  US a board  i expected it to be more . but then again bitmain wants all most 80 or more  + shipping for a S3 controller so this will be well worth it .

but your price 22.36 US about is really good , I'm willing to go up to 35 US shipping would be another 10 to 15 US  ? .
2274  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: DIY S1 to S3 adapter-board on: August 28, 2015, 03:56:10 PM
As many of you know I managed to make a working adapter-board to convert S1 controller work with S3 blades.I have now drawn PCB for it and actually ordered a little batch of these boards made by factory. Many of you can make your own adapter with information given in this thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=671128.800.
Anyway I wonder if there is anyone interested in ready made boards? And if so, do you want just plain PCB or whole board fully populated and with connectors? I'm asking this because I'll order connectors and regulators more if needed.
Pictures here are of my home-made PCB but factory-made will be double sided. So there are no jumper wires. But lay-out of the board is pretty much the same as in pics here.
Adapter board:

I'll have PCB's after 2-3 weeks and so there is still time to think this.Connectors come from Germany in a couple of days if needed. Here is schematic for those who haven't seen it (I think that I removed link to the original picture because I thought that there was an error -there wasn't).

I have made several prototypes and they work pretty well.I've kept that blade hashing for three days with no problems.

I'd be glad to hear opinions about this project.

depending on price 1 fully populated and with connectors .
2275  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Something i notice with bitmains firmware on: August 28, 2015, 04:25:49 AM
What device are you talking about?

S5

now i can't reproduce it . Sad . but all my miner are running great but one but i had problems with it from day one and I bought it used not from bitmain which was my mistake.

2276  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BITMAIN launches 4th generation Bitcoin mining ASIC: BM1385 on: August 27, 2015, 07:48:13 PM
Do they ever mention what the hashrate will be? Or, just the power consumption per Th/s as 230 watts?

I may be stretching, but a 2.4+ Th/s machine for <$700 SHIPPED would be amazing.
very first page says how much per TH Smiley .. of his thread.

That release date  reminds me of a MS release or game release . lol

At the wall power consumption AntMiner S7  230W/TH

were all guessing on the a mount of speed it ships with .  why not  340 to 400, S3 and S5 were amazing to and priced right .

If anyone noticed they left out the S2 and S4 and S5 + on the  front page which make is even more positive for everyone . but I'm hopping
I know it shows how much per Th/s, but not how many Th/s  Wink.  My hope is that it is over a 2 Th/s machine with those efficiencies.

They leave out the S2 bc it uses the same chip as the S1 (BM1380), S4 uses the same as the S3+ (BM1382), and S5+ uses the same as the S5 (BM1384).

i well  aware of that and that's why  but not the same power usage is my point it does  say s3 +  aren't  they really the same  s3 and s3 +  . at least i replaced a s3 + board with a reg s3 board i bought off ebay that works just  like a S3 + but that's not the point im trying to make I'm trying to be very positive  and not prove any one wrong or right . i did miss word  my comment my bad and sorry .

2277  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BITMAIN launches 4th generation Bitcoin mining ASIC: BM1385 on: August 27, 2015, 04:49:21 PM
I wouldn't say we will see an obivous spike in hashrate as I think they are still replacing previous generation hardware.  See for instance the S2, and UMISOO(S2) going offline because it is no longer profitable on Hashnest.

I'm just taking an educated guess, but I still think we see the S7 released in September.  Also to guess the price check out this thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1159185.0

The Statement from resellers seems to cooperate with your opinion S7 release in September  Grin

Let hope prices are competitive

2278  Bitcoin / Mining support / Something i notice with bitmains firmware on: August 27, 2015, 12:01:25 PM
Bitmains firmware might be changing the voltage to some thing like this 7060 and its locked . one reason i use a custom firmware is i can adjust it . i changed it back to 0725 after i did a update i really want to use bitmains  firmware but it lowers my miner th to low i just tired again . but this time it went down to 900 again with the july 15 update and set the voltage at 7060 or some like that i did do a default firmware update with there firmware but once i change the voltage back to 0725 after i went back to smithy firmware i was using  my miner started working right .

Has anyone else used one of smithy custom firmware notice that bitmains firmware changes it, we have no control over it with there firmware . i wonder if that's the whole or part of the  problem it's being changed in there firmware to the wrong setting .

but there is no information about releases yet?

None yet only there working on it Smiley .!!! but if I had to guess it's done there putting it thu the final testing, then once we see the hash rate and diff start going up a lot for no reason that might be why  Smiley . hash rate more then any thing at first real time testing is still the best way .. then sells will start soon after .

So then I bet they will wait with realeasing the machines until October/November. They will want to mine with them for themselves at first I guess.

I wouldn't say that either other then they have to test each and everyone before it shipped or some kind of batch test so there is no large amount of returns they will lose money with out good testing. all the S5 i ever bought from them direct were new or seemed new to me . i didn't get a chance to buy one of the used ones, i wanted to but real life living stopped me. but I'm saving for one or two S7 now at what i hope they cost like 340 to 400 each i may sell off a s3 or two real cheap i mean cheap like at S1 prices . Smiley .
