1281  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: BFGMiner set up **WILL PAY FOR HELP*** on: August 27, 2016, 04:10:21 AM
no BFGminer is better, to use, because it uses both sha256 and script coins and no bfg is also better because CGminer after 3.9 or something no longer supported any kind of script coins , BFG still supports both and actually keeps any issues updated .only way bfg won't work if it has no support for that miner if it does it will work better then the out dated cgminer 3.7 unless that fork is kept updated someplace Smiley.

Sorry i can't help set up dragon miners, never had one . don't know what settings bfg uses etc .

or try this

https://github.com/wareck/cgminer-lketc

which miner is it the USB version or the 60 MH in box  version that looks like  a A2 inside ?. but it's not . or this

http://titanminer.com/?product=dragon-miner-litecoin-asic-60mhs-scypt-lketc-2

and dragon aka BW claims they put out the first ever ASIC script and Probable only had CGminer support at first .

and PSU

http://www.evga.com/Products/Product.aspx?pn=120-G2-1300-XR

haven't figured out how to hock it up to a breakout board and server PSU yet , and feel safe using it that way.
I guess I'm luckily no heating up yet .no Burt molex etc .
1283  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Avalon6 - Creating new SD card from image on: August 23, 2016, 03:58:08 AM
The software by default is set in the software for the miner 192.168.0.100 and you have to set your  PC to Access it to  to 192.168.0.1

then any browser type 192.168.0.100 then change the ip on the miner to either DHCP or 192.168.1.100 , I'm not to sure what your network is set to .

not sure what you mean the miner is not there does the USB converter from the IO cable to the USB cable turn blue then green or red or light up at all it might be a bad converter or the uart or this
http://bitcoinist.net/review-avalon-4-1-1-ths-bitcoin-asic-miner-quiet-power/#jp-carousel-13904 working. I know that says 4.1 but from what I tried the 4.1 works with the A6 I'll know for sure Wednesday mines due here then. make sure that is also plugged in .

yours should be in a plastic case .....
other wise not having it in front of me or seeing just what it's doing is beyond me unless it stopped working .

thanks for pointing out that mistake i made .
1284  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Legit shops to purchase S9? on: August 22, 2016, 11:27:13 PM
Broken link so maybe they already sold all their miners.

worked for me , just checked !!! .

Some one did some kind per something when the farm boys came out on the forums they were a deal but I was a little short on cash so had to pass . maybe the next A2 deal i come across I will finally get one ... they should drop even more in price once the A4 does came out and still be useful for a while longer, farming alt is a lot different then farming btc direct . there is a lot of them etc etc ...i all way have liked farming script coins more then BTC but still like doing both .

about three month ago i was offered a farm boy deal even had the cash but was asked to late i had just bought a Alchemist 256 then 4 or 5 days later some one i know sent me A email with a really nice group buy deal for some farm boys again I'm not meant to have a A2 i guess ..then one popped on ebay  i was to late buying a month or so ago they sold a mini A2 for 175 they normally sell for 500 or more . zoom hash had some 110 for a nice price a few month ago by the time i got the cash to gather they sold out, i have even more times were i missed out.

1286  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Innosilicon's A4 Dominator, 1.2W/Mhs 14nm ASIC and miner, open for Partners on: August 19, 2016, 02:40:35 AM
The images on the Aliexpress page look like A2 images.  The description says the A4 prototype won't be available until July.  So what is pictured is not one of the prototypes.  This is a "pre-order" for still unbuilt equipment.  Also from what I have read Innosilicon does not do preorders.  So this person selling either must have a standing order and commitment for a bulk order or he/she is taking wild liberties on the price and number he will have available to sell.

Thanks for the link.  It at least has a bunch of us all talking and thinking about doing really stupid stuff like a bulk preorder...  Yes, we are that crazy!  I personally am going to wait until something firms up and then figure out where in the world I would put more miners or get more electricity to run them! ROFL

What I think has happened is that based on the ever decreasing chip density per device and efficiency of the cards, one of the early adopter partners has pulled out of the deal (remember they were seeking 5 x $1.5M partners), so what we're being offered is their slice of the initial first batch.

I've been playing around with the numbers and would imagine there would have been 3000 of the 400Mh/s machines being built at something like $2500 each for the early partners, bringing the total to $7.5M (600ea). That was my worst case scenario and given the 400 MH/s specs would have had 114 Chips per machine, there could be up to 4167 of the lower effeiciency 280 MH/s miners if all the chips are good. Interestingly the price  stays about the same at around $6.50 per MHs or $22.75 per A4 chip.

So I think this is why we're not seeing fully built prototypes yet, we were never supposed to be getting them this early, and based on the numbers above there would be 600 machines available for every partner who has pulled out.

Based on average pool mining returns at 0.000085 btc/mhs/day, these are still looking very good.  Cheesy
Mind you, there could be up to 1.3 Th/s about to be dropped into a 4.5 Th/s global scrypt network.  Undecided

They don't do per orders if they needed  investors to me that's a per order of sorts it was publicly made  , no per order's to me is selling them when they are ready and not asking for any kind of money other then though private investors. like bitmain does and even Avalon does now, the Avalon 7 is coming when no idea but it is, they posted soft ware support and a image for the miner on there FTP on the 17 of this month .

I thought I  saw Innosilicon talking per orders when the A2 came out on there main site but so far i have yet to see them run any farm because , I'm guessing,  they don't need to because they make more stuff like memory and other PC stuff , not just miners, bitmain only makes miners . I might be wrong or misunderstand how Innosilicon does it other wise . either way i can't afford one if i could i would give it some thought, im sure i would need that cash back sooner then 200 days or how ever long ROI would take or i would have to be willing to waste 1800 on a group buy, i wouldn't try to resell it either, unless i could double the price so i could buy another one i love mining to much to give it up or to pass one of these by, by reselling it.
1287  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: X11 ASIC miner on: August 19, 2016, 12:29:49 AM
Both the 172.16 and 10.0 networks are private non-routable. My ISP provides a single IP to my router and I hang multiple networks off the back end.
I use the 172.16 as a DMZ network, where I place my routers, and have DHCP for public access. The 10.0 network is my private network and houses my private esxi/server environments.
Ive never had any issues previously with both wired and wireless devices connecting to my DHCP server running in my DMZ network. Heck, even my android and Raspbery PI's have no issues.
As I said earler, I normally use static IP's in the 172.16.0.x block and reserve dhcp for 172.16.1.x.
It's been like this for almost 10 years, although with different routers, firewalls, barracudas etc...

so you main ip is not dhcp then that makes sense i had one of those once but it cost to much to justify keeping . your main IP is a static ip because if that's the same IP you have had for 10 years it has never changed even with a new router then it more then like is a static IP at no more cost to you, nice . then if that's the case and they don't set the miner to DHCP by default your network won't find it . the miner is static at 192.168.0.x or 192.168.1.x, if the miner is set to dhcp and works then it should pop on your network no matter what the network is at .turn off dmz and try that way ?. doesn't dmz only allow one thing thu it, don't know never used it .
The miner the way it sounds doesn't come as DHCP by default and is set to the normal network for china with a static IP . unless it doesn't work or something  is corrupted in the mining software that's stopping it from getting a ip

I'm guessing now wish I had one to play with  .

. gl i hope you get it, please let us know.!!!

Ive never heard of a home network being set at

172.16.1.x

i know it possible but your every day normal home network in the US before it hits the outside world is 192.168.x.x  and most US  networks start at before they hit the out side world, 192.168.1.x, the router then changes over to some thing like what your posting . maybe that why it's not finding it, it's  your IP ? my main IP i use to connect to internet is something like this

Broadband Connection
Ethernet Status:   Connected
Connection Type:   DHCP
IP Address:   12.345.67.89

of course that's not my public IP i use to access the Webb just a example how my router see it.
( and I know any body can find it if they want to),

unless that miner doesn't work, i hope they give good support.

when it's a static IP it stays on that IP until you change it, all my miners are static IP's ). the rest of my network I leave DHCP all but my print sever .

if the old router does find it, id change it to  your main network with a static ip, so you can keep better tab's on it . or

use a PC and plug it direct to the miner and change the PC's  ip to 198.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1 then use the IP tool to find if it does find it,it should list 2 IP the pc as the server and the miners ip .

or

just plug into your pc  direct  with wireless disabled, it should show something that way too.

sense it came from china they use 192.168.0.x, if they left it static, the miners iP might be set to 192.168.0.100 .!!!! I'm guessing now .

or
ask last resort or my last resort sense i hate dealing with any kind of support is ask tech support, i looked at there webb site a while back I bookmark it for later use, they say they offer fast support.
1289  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Minera v0.7.0] Your next mining dashboard - Networked/CPUminer/CGminer/BFGminer on: August 18, 2016, 10:31:31 PM
@michelem

Do you perhaps maybe have an estimate on a release date.. ?
am waiting anxiously for the new release.. ?
also wanted to find out if the Silverfish will be supported in the next release as it is a network miner
although it uses SFMiner.

Great work.
Thanks.

issue with silverfish miners is that they can only be recognized by the sfminer software.  That software if you get an older version is actually rather nice.. You can do profit switching based on difficulty of the coin its mining if you know how to set it up.  Ver 2.1.  if you get later version they pulled it out. think last one was ver 3.  As far as i know there is no api access on sfminer and i dont think minera would be able to operate it.  Reason i asked on antminer was that i know back in version 0.4 it included cgminer 3.7.2 for scrypt as i used it to run my gridminer towers.  Ill do some digging for the link for software but the company that produced miners along with software are no longer in business.. was f2pool that ran silverfish.

Best Regards

Don't they also have to have  some kind of network port that needs to be active some place or it stops mining , i want one or all most bought one till i saw something about a port had to be active or it stopped mining if it couldn't renew a address or the miner some how ?. unless some one fixed it.I think  all you can do in minera for this is monitor it as a network miner, some one else on the forums told me sf don't use cgminer or bfg etc it uses it's own custom made software miner, how true that is can't say.
1290  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: X11 ASIC miner on: August 18, 2016, 09:36:03 PM
whats your home net work i mean

192.168.1.1

it came from china or bought out if the US if you live in the US ?. if so the way i check, if that happen is

change the PC your on to some like 192.168.0.1 then do the search with the IP tool . it may be set at 0 instead of one in, china and other places other then the US they use 192.168.0.1, it might not be set to DHCP, it might have a static ip . i want one of those two, it might be my next buy and my GPU farm will suffer a little more. btc farming is not king like it was any more !!! .

The mac address should be on it some place .

New batch same specs?
And is there actually any info on the new Avalon stuff? I thought it was all just rumors at this point?
(Going to search the forums but I thought it was all just speculation at this point.)

some it's coming we know that much they just added  openwrt Avalon 7 support you can download the software for it now it works on orange PI's mainly the orange PI 2 which is a better PI then raspberry and runs any thing if you have the know how, there nice PI's and there is a lot of support for them if you know were to look .

here is the openwrt support added a few days ago for the A7, so it gotta be soon.

@Percivul

what level of awesome miner do you have to start with free version , Pro ?. to use the auto-switching fully were you can set up your own custom scripts you need the Premium edition which I'm about to upgrade to it looks like I'll need that part soon .

@ patrike
all Avalon miners use a well written version of CGminer that actually is put into the master version of CGminer over what bitmain does , I'm not to sure with the S9, i know the s7 is forked and they won't put it in the master version like they will with the Avalon version .

At the moment, free.  I would be ok with purchasing the premium but I want to make certain it's going to work with my setup.  More than that, I would love to get it to work with CPU mining as there are a handful of coins that are profitable with CPU mining.  If I can get that part to work, I'll be getting a paid edition for sure.

I know there are some custom scripts you can load in to try it but im not to sure if they work with the free version on awesome miners site but to set up and edit you own i might wrong you will need the  Premium version at least  it's telling me i need the  Premium version i have the Pro version i don't mind paying for it either.

awesome should let you cpu mind with np  but I'm not to sure the limits of the free version beyond whats listed, some things are all ways over looked or not listed.

I'm Guessing at this point !!! .

can hardy wait for my A6 to come they just updated the software again jk.

but hey did and i have one coming hoping it ships today .

I almost bought an A6 from HolyScott the other day, but then I found out it would not include an AUC. Oh well, here is to hoping the A7 comes out soon.

i have two AUC one Avalon sent me free, one i ordered off eby by mistake for my A4.1 that was marked for A6 ( I didn't notice when i ordered it ) which also works on 4.1 and i think holy has some he asked me if i needed one i don't sense i have 2 of version two.

and some one on the forum market is selling a A6 with everything but a pi and psu for 260 free shipping offered me a good deal but i had all ready committed to a buy .

I would like the Avalon 7 to be better then the s-9  in terms of power use.

Say .090 or .085  watts vs .100 watts for the s-9.

I am hoping for something in the 800W to 1000W range at ~0.09 efficiency.

800 watts and 10th would be good. Grin

that would be awesome with a price tag of maybe 800 to 1000 Smiley. but we know there price is all ways higher then bitmain or has been .can't blame them either i wouldn't want a price war with bitmain we saw what that did to Spondoolies-Tech.

if you think about it bitmain controls it all right now as far as selling miners goes they set the price etc unless some one wants to price war with them if you do you better have deep packets .

any way i hope the a7 follows suit and stays as they said : is for every one . high price tag or not so far from what Ive seen if i could afforded any Avalon on release i would have bought it first there's are better built etc and to me worth it .

cyz

I would be more willing to get  them if they do better on watts  then the s-9.

 I'd pay a premium for a 800 watt 10th machine

If they were around $1000 shipped, I would buy more than one.
I'd pay 1500 shipped regardless of the price, since I just mainly dislike current Bitmain products. I have near-free electricity, though, so I can afford to run some old miners. Nevertheless I would need to see the first-batch quality to actually make a decision on buying one.

Btw, I have a few orange pis, and they're a PITA to start. There's almost no support from the orange pi website, but glad that Canaan made some for it. Besides that, not too bad of a board- it does run a bit warm, but otherwise fine. Probably trying to shave off a few bucks from the total cost to us consumers.

i think they know what ever price it's a seller , have to agree bitmain is getting worse and worse .

as for orange support it : http://www.armbian.com/download/  lots of it here.
