2281  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Zksync Era Mainnet launch on: March 27, 2023, 11:48:31 AM
Those that have missed the arbitrum airdrop like me, this is another project that has gathered a lot of funding and they'll also be releasing an airdrop soon.
I don't know if the snapshot was already done to test them and other details about it but since op has shared it, it's time for you guys to know more about it.
There's always these projects that are attracting users because eventually they're gonna get some users to test their network as they launch their mainnet.
But as said, it's not about forcing to get into it but just some sharing if ever wants to try it.
2282  Economy / Gambling / Re: Gambler Loses 1.4 million USD in a bet with lower than 1.01 odds! on: March 27, 2023, 08:03:02 AM
One major difference between a rich and a poor gambler is the betting amount. Gamblers who actually have enough money are able to take big risks. But since gambling luck is one of the reasons for winning, many poor gamblers can hit the big jackpots and become rich. Even a wealthy gambler can lose money through uncontrolled gambling.
Like the one who has lost $1.4M dollars, he's certainly a rich guy that wouldn't bother to lose that amount. If I was rich, I might do that as well with confidence based on the given odds. But then, it's not always a holiday, and even if with that odd, you are unsure of the outcome of the game that you're betting for.

Above all I see no gap between the rich and the poor in gambling. Those who practice responsible gambling will succeed.
There's still a huge gap between rich, middle, and poor gamblers. I might be on the latter part and I do gamble only when I feel it and it's not always on the go. And I'm too delicate with the amount that I bet for because it's not that easy money that I'm betting.
2283  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does your country tax your gambling winnings? on: March 27, 2023, 06:58:46 AM
In my country, it's mostly taxed but it all depends. If the casino says that it's all tax-free then they'll be the one to shoulder it or it's actually tax-free. But if you haven't heard any word from them that your winnings are tax-free then you know what it is, it's taxable.
That's how the gambling winnings do happen in our country but at most time, they're all taxed.

I think it is unfair if you lost say $10 000 and then suddenly win say $5000.... and then they expect you to pay taxes on the $5000 that you have won, but unfortunately that is how it is working in my country.

The online gambling provide nice bet history for you to use, but they do not want that, they are just interested in your winnings. I have heard that they are in the process of changing this, because they want to tax crypto winnings as capital gains.  Roll Eyes
I think that there's an exemption on this and there will be some rules applied so that the gambler wouldn't be shouldered a lot just because of winnings are taxable. As long as you'll be able to declare that to the bureau then I think that you'll be spared if that's the case.
2284  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The bear market is your friend on: March 27, 2023, 06:32:30 AM
Yeah, Bear markets are part of the market, whether we like it or not.  Bear markets have an impact on the entire market but their target will be thwarted and even if bear market dumping occurs it is an opportunity to take advantage of to buy cheaply.  hence the bear market is compared as a mate.  There is no need to panic or panic with the bear market, but be ready to go with it.
The first timers will feel panic when the bear market has arrived but all bear markets will have their end and will be replaced by the bull market. And that's the market cycle and everyone who's been aware of that won't feel any pressure at all in the long run. There will be disappointments but that's normal as we look at it specifically at the time we're checking it. Panicking is an option and it can do little better if it's about cutting losses but if you're panicking without having your emotions controlled, you're doing the wrong thing and you're bound to have more losses because you haven't planned every time. And such, the title says that it's your friend, yeah, if you're a long term guy you'll say that it truly is a friend that you can count on for accumulating cheaper bitcoins.
2285  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Games & Metaverse Category Altcoins (are there any projects worth monitoring?) on: March 27, 2023, 05:44:35 AM
Honestly, I'm done with my enthusiasm for these games and metaverse projects. Although I'm not closing my door on them, for sure that there will be some of them that shall be up whenever we are back at bull run. Too many good games to play but when there's money involved, we're looking at it as an investment and we're missing the fun. I guess it's hard to find a game that's truly fun and we're not going to think of our investment there because that's losing the purpose of it being a game. But can't blame also our minds since we've placed on with the money that we've worked hard for so, it can't ignore that fact. IMO, just try to follow maybe at least 2 or three or even 1 and look if they've got still the potential by having a good community that's supporting the game which makes the ecosystem, tokenomics and everything revolves around that project's survivability.
2286  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The End of the Bitcoin Mixing Service, Should We Worry about Our Privacy? on: March 27, 2023, 05:06:36 AM
We will have to see to it that we'll see more cracking down of these mixers eventually. And while we've got some notable mixers that are rising and starting to gain traction, they might just take it down in the future but knowing when are we have no idea.
It appears to be that the authorities are only waiting for the right time until they crack down on these mixers when they become huge. But while some are in existence and not yet that big to shutdown, that's likely the pattern that they're doing. Because IMO, if they want to shut them down, they can do it to all of it if they've got leads. And that's making me think that's what they're only doing when it's got that many bitcoins already for them to confiscate.
2287  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Filipinos: please pay some attention to this on: March 26, 2023, 11:52:58 PM
You Philippine jokers are simply out of luck... if the US lives up to its current stupid state.

America could turn the Philippines into the next Ukraine in proxy war with China

https://www.naturalnews.com/2023-03-24-philippines-next-ukraine-us-proxy-war-china.html
The United States could turn the Philippines into the next Ukraine by using the Southeast Asian nation to fight a proxy war against China.

~snip~
You have said it so and you know what the situation is right here? Many don't seem to be aware of the state affairs of these visits that have happened in our country. And it was the total opposite of the past administration to the current one we've got. The peace and relationship between China and the Philippines were on good terms under Duterte's leadership but then it appears to be that type of relationship became lesser and lay low due to the favor that the administration is showing to the flag of the US. It's best for our president BBM to just be neutral on this and think of the welfare and status of our country because we're not really in a good area where the US can send troops as soon as possible. This is one of the latest news that I've seen that the US + the Philippines have sent 17k troops to the South China Sea where the arbitral dispute has been hot like pancakes.

America to expand military presence in the Philippines
...

Cool
And more US troop bases are about to be built in our country soon. I just wish that we won't be ending up in a war because China doesn't really like what's with it. Everyone knows that US and China aren't really in good terms with Biden's administration.  Undecided
2288  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: PANCAKE (CAKE) will reach $100. My own goal, NFA on: March 26, 2023, 11:24:12 PM
I bought cake when it was $4+ and I'm still at losses on it but that's okay since I've registered it on pancakeswap's stake.

Pancake will hit $100 only if bitcoin goes into bull season in upcoming cycles. Maybe 1 - 2 or more halvings. Just to admit, bitcoin price appreciation is a necessary condition and cake has to develop and adapt well to situations in line with market demand - a sufficient condition. The altcoin space is competitive and the market is constantly evolving, the capital trajectories of decentralized ecosystems can change at any time. So that's a built in goal for each person.
We're unsure with that but I'd love to see that happen and that's possible. We all know that bitcoin's price is the major factor for the price of altcoins like cake to go up. I would like to see it someday that my farming in cake will be worth it before the bull run happens. I don't have a lot of cake but it's still worth it if it ever hits $100, I'll get around a couple of hundreds if that happens plus the potential amount I'll earn from staking it.
2289  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Taking loan for investment can be life threatening on: March 26, 2023, 10:44:50 PM
There is no better idea than to trade or invest on your own with your own money. Do not be dependent on other people because you know that they're great traders or what. In this market, no one is great and everyone can get killed by the market by surprise. Those people that are also taking advantage of misinformed people, don't take investments from them, teach them how to invest in the market and let them know how risky it is to go here without having proper knowledge on how to deal with such volatile market.
A loan in some cases can be our salvation, but you should not even think about a loan for investment, at least I have not heard a single story when someone could take a loan, invest this money and make a profit. And even if I saw one such case, I would take it with skepticism, because I consider it stupidity, which carries much more danger than benefits and common sense.
I have heard a lot of sad stories about those people that took loans for investments. They've never done their research first before going all in with those investments that they were too happy to get in with the loan they've taken and guess what, majority of it got no luck.

Trading is risky,  some people lost their own personal money in trading,  and I still don't know why one would think of borrowing money to trade in the name of making money. People mostly make this mistake when they put money as the first priority to make out of trading. If people should take their time to learn I think they won't be making thus mistake in trading. This mistake happens due to ignorance, lack of knowledge.  Learning should be the first step to consider in trading and not to think of making money which will definitely end up in a bad result.
Well, we use our personal money in trading and investing and that's much better than using someone else's money with trading and investing while it's in our hands.
Someone who takes a loan for trading has got that not-so-unique purpose and that's to make money. And their greed is harming them because they have never foreseen what's in it for them to come until they go into the actual situation of losing not just the money but also the trust of the lender.
2290  Economy / Economics / Re: Is risky to invest this period on: March 26, 2023, 10:16:42 PM
don't be a human being who is afraid to take risks because won't change our future.
Yes, it won't change our future but I do understand that there are people who are not fit into investing and that's why they're afraid. And there are people that have got out into their comfort zone to test new things and that's why they're learning how to invest and take the risks of it eventually. Until they're used to it and understand that there's a need for one to take it if he wants to step up his way of living because the richest people in the world were all investors after all. They've taken risks that no one has taken and they've seen the opportunity there and within this market, on its earliest days, many were too afraid to try it out but those who have been brave enough to take the challenge even during that time was full of uncertainties. Those who have bought early bitcoin and still holding it because they believe, they've taken the risk and that's no easy challenge when the world is like full of doubters about it and few believers were only there during that time.
2291  Economy / Gambling / Re: New Casinos Launched in Canada on: March 26, 2023, 09:47:26 PM
Just like them, I am only familiar with bc.game. And if it's only specific in Canada, I guess only a few can give their experiences with those that haven't been heard a lot in the forum.
But if there are Canadian forum members there and can distinguish everything from the list or a few from those, that would be helpful. Otherwise, we can't expect anything from the list as most of us are only familiar with one of them.
Same, I also only know bc.game from several casino names written in the OP list.
From several lists of names it seems that only one or two names are known by most of the members of this forum and it appears from the feedback provided that not many know all the names on the list, especially the original Canadian casino.
If only op gave a list of casino names on the forum maybe a lot of positive feedback would be given and of course all members could give feedback without the slightest confusion.
Well, it's up to him and he knows more about the specific casinos that are more focused on Canadian gamblers than on various races of gamblers. About the title of the article that's being shared, it's said about "high payout". Isn't it that every casino does have its minimum and maximum limit? Because for me, based on the culture I've lived in, it doesn't sound good to hear when the term was said by any publishing media which is likely more on the bad side and impressions. Just saying though.
2292  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you feel bad while paying with BTC? on: March 26, 2023, 09:16:44 PM
Don't feel any guilt when you're spending it on something important. Money is made to be spent and just like bitcoin. But it's different this time on bitcoin because we can use it as an investment. The time will come when we have to spend or sell our bitcoins and that's okay. As long as you're mind is telling you that you've got the thing you desire in exchange for it for your satisfaction then that's good. It's inevitable that the time will come when we need to spend bitcoin and that's the actual use case of it for buying things and paying for them. Before I felt bad because I'm seeing it as an investment but until I realize that it was okay and that I'm helping the ecosystem of it through spending and using it, it made me relief.
2293  Economy / Economics / Re: Elon Musk and the fall of Twitter on: March 26, 2023, 08:46:34 PM
Did he really plan to sell $20B for the entire stocks he's got with Twitter? AFAIK, he's sold $4B of shares and I just learned of it when I searched it when saw this topic. Well, no doubt that he's a great businessman but sometimes we don't see where he is coming from and his visions. If it's for real that he's trying to sell the entire holdings he's got for Twitter for less than the amount he's paid for it, maybe that's his way of admitting that he's tired of this company. But as a businessman, I don't think that he's doing that just to cut loss and before purchasing it, he has thought of it a hundred times. That's why if he ever says that he's willing to sell all of it, I doubt it. He even said that he's willing to step down as CEO but did he?
2294  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Arb token incoming on: March 26, 2023, 08:19:07 PM
Well yeah, and many I have seen have struggled in claiming and just managed to sell at the lowest which was $1. If someone has got a thousand of tokens of ARB then even at the lowest price now, he won't just get a three digit but more than that.
Airdropping is becoming exciting again with these type of successful airdrops because of the distribution that has happened. But to tell you folks, airdrops are still like a gamble for you don't know if you're going to be lucky or not.
that's true even at the lowest price many are still gaining profits anyway, but in the other hand the project succesfully contains those massive sell off with the presence of many liquid, i'd say airdrop are flourishing again right now just like before, it's just it had different way of getting the eligibility.
It's still a success for the project in its first days and it's unavoidable that most of those that have got the tokens from it is really likely to dump it.
We've just learned from the market and many have learned from it that as long as you're able to profit from it, you don't waste any time for it or else it could be lesser in value.
It has been lessened and still those that have got it as an airdrop received a lot from them and converted it into other crypto or saved the value of it through stable coins.
2295  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: March 26, 2023, 07:49:35 PM
We have some nice games today. Finally we in Europe can watch some quality games and some EU players in times where we are awake. Working and keeping up with NBA is really hard.
Is the NBA league pass isn't allowed there? You can subscribe to it.

Damian Lillard is a millionaire player who has won seven NBA All-Stars and six All-NBA Team Selections.
In October 2021 Lillard was named the league's greatest player of all time.
Lillard also won a gold medal on the 2020 US Olympic team in Tokyo.
He has given a number of wins and became a core player on the Blazers team.
By deciding to end the season, the Blazers will lose strength and this will be a big loss for the Blazers because they will not have a great player like Lillard.
Maybe the Blazers have prepared another player to replace Lillard, but I'm not sure I can be as good as Lillard.
Injuries can happen to anyone including professional players like Lillard but let's hope he doesn't get hurt in the slightest.
Whether he'll get time for healing his injury, he's all set for life. He's spent his money wisely and AFAIK, he's got a car dealership business and that's why even if his team shuts him down, he may just have to accept it because the fact that he can't do anything from that decision, he has to follow necessary steps and decisions made by his team.

I mean the referee can just give a technical to Young, but instead the referee ejected. Referees really are becoming more sensitive right now.
It's because of how they think they're mistreated. But they don't understand where these players are coming from.
2296  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 1$ per day crypto investment plan any good ? on: March 26, 2023, 07:14:10 PM
That's what I mean guys. $1 will not be enough to make an investment because each exchange may impose a minimum limit on each deposit which may be above $1.
And that's why he can collect it on his own and then until he reaches the minimum amount for deposit and exchange it on bitcoin. For if it will take around 10 days to complete the $10 less fee, he has to plan it well and make sure that he's doing it rightfully so that the savings that he's got won't just be taken into fees. There have been altcoins that seem to be cheap but in terms of their network fees, they're eating a lot of money from all of their users and investors. That's why if someone is still doing this strategy of DCAing for $1 daily, you save it first and then deposit it all at once like when it's big enough for the minimum deposit.
2297  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Downfall still possible? on: March 26, 2023, 06:46:48 PM
Correction is normal and it's always there, whether it's a bull run or a bear market, we're always having that regardless of the market trend. And like what it is today, there's sort of correction that has happened for bitcoin but it isn't exciting whenever we get a correction?
It's possible that whenever it happens, there's the reversal that goes by just after it, so that's why it's one of the most exciting things to have when you're on this market. Don't be afraid when it happens because it's a typical thing to happen and we can't avoid it but instead, take advantage of it like buying if it does.

And traders and investors who understand this kind of market movement are the one who mostly buying the dump coins that they believe will bounce back and bring them decent profits.

It's your own market understanding as the volatile nature of this business is what traders are working to
make a good position to benefits either it's bull or bear season.
As you understand the market, you also need to understand your financial situation to know if you're capable of buying the dip. Because whenever it's like a dumping time for the market, it is where the discouragement is coming from and you'll never know if it's just the start or it's just a temporary correction. But anyone who's scared of it has to make himself comfortable with this arrangement because it's a common thing for the market to dump and correct if we get used to seeing that it's pumping.
2298  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Unclaimed Terra Luna on: March 26, 2023, 06:27:15 PM
The exchanges are the ones that were the ones that have distributed the Terra(Luna). So, if you haven't received any of it then that means that you've missed it.
IIRC, only the eligible ones were actually those that have borne loss before the collapse. And that was the time when the snapshot happened cmiiw.
Yeah, I understand that it may not that be worth to hold and it's still free coin to get but if you got nothing as an airdrop, there's nothing to be expected to come.
2299  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Downfall still possible? on: March 25, 2023, 09:47:19 PM
I think cryptocurrency prices can still correction, but not a bear run (just a little decrease), because a few weeks ago the price of cryptocurrency, especially Bitcoin, increase very high, so it's only natural that the price of cryptocurrency decrease (correction) and after that I'm sure the price will definitely increase very high again (if no a bad news or fud about cryptocurrency).
Correction is normal and it's always there, whether it's a bull run or a bear market, we're always having that regardless of the market trend. And like what it is today, there's sort of correction that has happened for bitcoin but it isn't exciting whenever we get a correction?

2300  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will the altcoin go up in price if the bitcoin price goes up? on: March 25, 2023, 01:51:57 PM
and have people started distrusting altcoins or what?
The distrust of altcoins just happened when they were no longer viable. It's due to the hype that has been made and when the volume has decreased.
There have been distrusted altcoins and those are the ones that have been once popular but then the hype died and they have become afloat in the market.
Everyone will understand why altcoins are going up and that's thanks to bitcoin for every cycle that it gives especially during the bull run as it contributes a lot.
