1301  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Imtoken Amazing Feature on: July 01, 2023, 03:04:10 PM
Nice! You just successfully made me curious about Imtoken. It's the first time to see a wallet that allows its users to pay with its dust tokens that you will never want to have.
Not really known yet the specifics but thats the idea mate based on what I understand. But this could also be a disadvantage to some who always wishing an airdrop for spending eth as gas on some protocols.
Well, it depends on the person who will use that feature if it seem to be a good one but yes, there can be some disadvantage, and could also be abused.
But just to see another taste and feature that hasn't been done before or if it's done before by some wallets, it didn't gained traction. I just think that we need more of this.
1302  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 01, 2023, 01:31:24 PM
I don't know about the curse but I think they have to kill the witch then that cursed him so it would die along with her. I think the management shows potential on the duo and they can still work it out, a single year shouldn't be treated as it will continue over and over, it can be worked out, it should be.
That's just a fan sentiment and we do get that a lot even in other sports. But the management has already decided that they'll be taking Kyrie for 3 years and could even be extended if the Mavs will have a good ending for that long. If the management has already cast that contract and believes on Kyrie, fans can't do anything about them. We like our boy Luka and we have to like Kyrie soon, we just have to give it some time and let's see if they'll be another favorite team having a good run for this season.
1303  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Could world war 3 be inevitable? on: July 01, 2023, 09:33:35 AM
The world needs a rest from all of these wards and it's almost in every country.

War isn’t so easy to define anymore. I personally believe we are at war though. The flood of drugs killing Americans, the rise of mental illness, our food supply chain being destroyed, outright lies being told by our government. All of this doesn’t happen without major outside influence. I think you’d have to be not paying attention to not see that America is under attack.
I agree, we also do get these wars in cyberspace and even a country's own government is experiencing its own civil war. That's why I don't think that we will see the world take a rest from all of these types of wars and if the actual world war 3 will come for which it will be China and US, that's gonna be big and it could not even be with those arms but with a biological warfare.
1304  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Your first purchase in btc: the craziest, the most moving, the most expensive on: July 01, 2023, 08:31:04 AM
Honestly, I can no longer remember the first purchase that I did with my first btc and that is because I was too busy for several years back then when I can't remember a lot of things. But most probably it's like a treat of myself for having some good food.

Haha 😂
My first ever, which is still my last by the way, with full payment in bitcoin is my motor bike, which I purchased last year around this time, June/July...
I must confess that it's very exciting, even until this very moment, I am still enjoying my motor bike, and each time I ride on it, my love for bitcoin increases because it gives me a sense of how valuable bitcoin really is, and it's power to turn people's financial situations around.

Wow, congratulations to you mate. This surely is a nice bike to have, you enjoy the travel and some breath of fresh air while being proud that this has been purchased with your profits made through bitcoin.
1305  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 01, 2023, 07:42:40 AM
^ That’s a big blow to the Nuggets.
Yeah, surprising news as many would have thought that this team will be stronger than before and bonds would be made. After all, this is NBA and it's all about business and taking the best offers that they can take after getting out of their primes.
It's not actually different from what the Golden State Warriors did. After their championship, they increased the salary of some of their players and then traded them. Some are let go with a better contract for other teams.
I think what happened is just normal in the NBA now. Loyalty is not a thing anymore, where there is money, go get it, get yourself a house and some savings for your retirement fund. I think Bruce Brown will be there.
The same with the Lakers and that's why I just thought that this team will remain just as is with their winning roster. But this is all about their value has gotten up just after getting the ring so it's a wise move for him when there's a bigger offer since they're not always at their height of their career so it's nice that he took advantage of it.
1306  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin Cash is pumping, why? on: July 01, 2023, 06:27:39 AM
I have read some information about the cause of BCH increase recently, such as the announcement of EDX listing four cryptocurrencies as Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin and BCH. So BCH has benefited a lot from that, whale wallets have not stopped buying Bitcoin Cash recently. This has stimulated many retail investors to pay attention and fomo into BCH.
So that's one main reason why BCH has got a pump. I guess this has made a lot of holders of it get some hope. The ATH is totally far from the current that it has got. And with this EDX listing then there is a possibility that it will pump the volume that shall give the price on it to increase.

And I also just saw some information regarding trading activities on Korean exchanges. https://twitter.com/WuBlockchain/status/1674614453231562755
That's likely a combination of these sets of news that rotates for its pump but whenever bitcoin gets a drop, it's gonna get a bigger drop.
1307  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The price dropping, any reason the huge dump? on: July 01, 2023, 03:27:26 AM
In bitcoin trading, I guess this is the part wherein I don't completely understand the dynamics, or I'm just too dumb to see the gravity of such news to the cryptospace.
Sometimes it's random and sometimes it is what it is. I've been keen and observant whenever there is news, some good news doesn't rely on the matter at all. But at most times, these gives little impact on the market just as these ETF applications do. Well, in a bear market it's totally different, whether there are a bunch of good news that will be seen in the market, it's still not going to do any much effect to the entire market.
1308  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: Anong Crypto ang nasa Hodl Wallet nyo ngayon? on: July 01, 2023, 02:11:31 AM
I don't want to disclose my token holdings pero majority ng holds ko is yung top coins like Bitcoin, ethereum and BNB. The others is yung mga inaanticipate ko umangat sa next bull market. Nasa ibat ibang wallet din yung ibang coins na hinohold ko given na nasa ibang blockchain yung iba at yung mga top na coins like bitcoin is nasa hard wallets ko. Wala akong meme coins kasi di ako fan nun dahil napakarisky.
1309  Local / Pamilihan / Re: NBA discussion, betting and etc. on: July 01, 2023, 01:52:15 AM

This feature is a "must" feature on most cryptocurrency wallets.
I agree but we all know that these wallets have their own respective tokens that they're promoting. Thus, it can't happen to most but I think if other bigger wallets follow this trend, then everyone follows.
1311  Other / Politics & Society / Re: marriage is everybody problems! on: June 30, 2023, 11:15:59 PM
Here in my country, divorce is hard to process and that's why everyone who's in a relationship should be sure whether to marry their partners or not. Living with a partner is common even without marriage and that's why, many of the people here do it. And one reason that can't be denied is that when they split, there's no string attached. It all depends on the cultural setup that a couple is living in, in most countries these are also a common problem and not just here.

Did you guys see the news for Bruce Brown JR? He just signed with the Indiana Pacers. Gonna be huge mils contract has been in the sign and this is why we usually see a player going off with their former team just after the championship.
Who would not agree with this deal?

$45M in two years, that's a star contract. He did great on his last run with the Denver Nuggets and I think he deserves it. Yes, they lost a big piece but it gives the opportunity for other players to feel the success of their hard work by receiving a great deal of a contract. I guess it's okay for the Nuggets team. They could still win a championship if they badly want a back-to-back. Do remember, Jamal Murray just got back and yet that happened. If their chemistry strengthens again, they will be more powerful.
Thanks, that's more detailed news than what I've seen. Yeah, Bruce should take that contract and that's gonna be an offer that no one can decline. And going there will make him some sort of superstar I guess or a more important player than the current roster that it has got.

^ That’s a big blow to the Nuggets.

1314  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Yield farming vs Staking on: June 30, 2023, 02:11:45 PM
I've came across "yield farming" which looks quite similar to staking. You basically go on a "hunt" for "De-Fi" platforms which offer the best rates for your stablecoin (or token) holdings. This is done in a non-custodial manner through the use of smart contracts. On staking, I can basically "delegate" my coins to a validator and earn daily income.

What I want to know is if "yield farming" is better than staking. An overview of the advantages/disadvantages between the two would be nice. Any clarifications would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Smiley
Both of them earn you passively but in yield farming, there's the reason why you're putting your asset into a platform and just like the banks, they're using it for some other usage like lending or using it with their investments. While in staking, you're helping the network of that token of yours. It's true that in yielding, there's more risk than of staking so if it's all about profitability, you'll never know as both of them changes dramatically overtime depending on the situation of their own networks and projects.
1315  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hold Bitcoin VS Hold Gold on: June 30, 2023, 11:29:41 AM
I personally just hold both. Bitcoin and Gold both have strengths and weaknesses
Good for you for having both. I wanna have gold but I don't think that I'll have it this time so, I should be fine and content with holding bitcoin.

My Gold kept me sane during this bear market. 60/40 Gold/BTC, re-balanced once a year is a good strategy imo.
That's good to hear, everyone should do what is working for them, and if both is a good strategy to have then follow it. But if you think that owning bitcoin only is the best then also do that and vice versa just as where we are confident doing these investments.
1316  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Pilipinas, isa sa mga nangungunang bansa na interesado sa Web3 game on: June 30, 2023, 03:41:55 AM
Tama, sad reality pero totoo to.
May nga not so close friends akong tinawag ako at nagtanong tungkol sa bitcoin, years ago.
1318  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is now a good time to buy BNB? on: June 29, 2023, 08:46:01 PM
We will never know if this is the right time to buy. I've bought mine even before these issues and I'm on a loss holding it but I'm not panicking and will just wait for the comeback of it when a new ATH happens. I'm hoping that it will come together with bitcoin's new ATH.
That's why I'm just holding long term on it and whatever the issues and lawsuits its mother company faces, I don't mind and I'll stick to my plan that win or lose, I'll hold it. But then this is me, not a financial advise.
1319  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who Buys Bitcoin When The Price is 100k$? on: June 29, 2023, 07:26:56 PM
The market is more active when Bitcoin's price has increased even more. Because during the market, uncertainty and anxiety are high in the market and that's why people are only a few to do such things as accumulating during that period. While for the bull run, everyone's too active and hyper and that's why hope that many will start to buy and feel FOMO before anything else. That's why if it's gonna be the same as what we are now if bitcoin hits $100k or even more. I bet that there will even be more people gonna be interested in bitcoin if it reaches a ceiling of $1M.
1320  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will World Economic Depression Affect Bitcoin? on: June 29, 2023, 06:11:46 PM
When there is an economic crisis or there is extreme inflation, people tend to look for ways to invest their money so that they are safe from high inflation and devaluation, and a lot of people will choose Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies as an escape which might impact them positively in such a situation.
That's true but what happens is still we don't know if a greater economic depression comes. I'm not an economist but they say that almost everything is gonna be affected. But we've seen how bitcoin performs despite that for the past few years. There could still be some assets that will be chosen by noncoiners but to us, this is the best choice whether there is or there is no depression at all. It's like satoshi has set it all for us as bitcoin was invented during also the economic depression several years ago. While we do understand how bitcoin moves as an asset and it's not tied to global markets as we believe. Nowadays, we do see its significance together with the other markets that people are also trading in.
