I don't think Nefario is a scammer.
If Nefario were to honor those shares, he would be in breach of contract with the shareholders. He cannot issue new shares, nor can new shareholders be brought in without a vote from existing shareholders. Giving him a scammer tag for not doing something he legally can't do is not ethical or logical.

PMs? Theymos made it public what nefario said. Why are you covering for Theymos with "PMS" ?? I was responding to this post. I have a conflict of interest here. Maged and BadBear will decide whether Nefario deserves a scammer tag.
Can we talk in personal message and avoid the topic? He's asked us to deal with it so you would be talking via personal message with me and Maged. Public is fine with me too I don't care either way, I expect you would post the PMs after the fact anyway. |

If he pays back tag will be removed. Threads or anything else won't, at least not by us. The rest of your post is off topic and I won't participate in derailing a thread made for a specific purpose, and I ask everyone else not to as well. There's better places to ask those questions. |

Wow, I was undecided until reading this "response", Inaba. Now, my current viewpoint is that it's EXTREMELY unlikely that a legitimate business, especially a startup, seeking long-term customer relationships would respond anywhere near as angrily and childishly as you just did. +1 Inaba, even if you think this forum is "unbecoming of a venue for public discourse" you are still here speaking on behalf of BFL. Your lack of professionalism alone is enough to make me not want to ever do business with BFL. But add to that the news about the convicted scammer in charge... and his delay in responding to concerns... well Jesus! How could you ever think people would 'not' be upset, especially given the recent history of scams in Bitcoin land??? I agree with both these guys. As an aside, this reminds me a lot of Pirate's posts in the "Put your money where your mouth is" thread. |

Definitely not deleting the scam threads, not gonna help cover it up. I doubt theymos will delete your account either. Why not? I don't want my name rubbed in the mud It's your fault. I know. But I have learnt my lesson, I am ashamed of what I have done, and am paying back. Why not leave everything here as a reminder? I don't want people googling my name and the first thing they see basically says I am a scammer. You are as far as I'm concerned. You're making things right which counts for a bit and will get your tag removed, but you still chose to be a dick and rip people off and people dealing with you should know that. You made your decisions, any consequences are yours as well. I think the solution is to delete personal info if there is any but leave the rest and take the scammer tag off (if he paid everyone back, of course).
I won't remove it, but he can work it out himself with whoever posted it. It's their decision to make. |

I understand wanting to let the past be the past, and giving people second chances. I even hire ex-cons sometimes (nice guys/gals actually, lots of stories), but I wouldn't give them large amounts of money in non-reversible funds, over the internet without ever even meeting them.

1. If nothing was expected in return, no. If something was expected in return, then yes absolutely. I mention this because I see this a lot on the forums. People "giving away/free" when it isn't. 2. Maybe yes. Depends on the situation and whether the user is happy with the outcome. 3. Yes. 4. Yes. My general opinion is that if you don't lose money it's not a scam. But it seems here the "scammer" tag is driven more by greed than something else.
Oh this is rich, someone who once argued with me that mining using someone else's electricity without their consent or knowledge is ok, is lecturing about greed and ethics.  "hurr durr he said he give 1btc to everyone who post in the forum and now doesn't, scamscamscam". I haven't seen anything like that, not sure what you're talking about. Unless you just needed an excuse to make this weeks "hurr durr hyperbole" post, in which case carry on I guess  . |

Is the post related to the OP in any way? If not then it's off topic. I don't generally censor replies just for being off topic, a couple here and there are harmless, only if they break another rule as well (trolling, ad hom, etc). Is there a recourse to moderators , who falsify decisions to their will?
Yes, admins can see pretty much anything mods can do so it would be pretty hard to falsify anything. Is there public scrutiny provided about which moderator decided what?
No. And to reply to an older post ...so if someone does not agree with a comment and reports it as off topic then it will be deleted regardless of how on or of topic it may be. ... No, reports are just suggestions, I look at each objectively. |

Will do. Just found out, I had a huge mistake in my spreadsheet. I was calculating monthly expenses into the weekly profit, now that I fixed it, my estimated monthly profit stands at $24,132 from the previous $15,132 figure. This is with 96 customers/day, or 12-16 people/hour for a two hour session.
60% increase in sales already, and you haven't even gotten started. You must've believed a lot that day  . |

Mine used to me clear, but thanks to trying to shed light on the Bitcoinica fiasco and costing me over $20,000 USD and counting, mine keeps going back and forth between jaundice and chartreuse.
That's not why, sorry. You cant ignore mods  Yes you can. Unless only mods can ignore other mods which would be wacky. You can't ignore admins though. |
