Poor proudhon.  Wink
1563  Economy / Speculation / Re: Just hold, right? on: November 27, 2013, 03:36:46 PM
Why would you sell now when we hit 1k so fast? It's even on CNN, press is going to make it explode.
1564  Economy / Speculation / Re: $1000 first time! on: November 27, 2013, 03:16:32 PM
The moaning on a certain other forum that loved to make fun is epic. 'I could've been rich if I hadn't listened to you guys!'.
1565  Other / Meta / Re: Can MasterCoin threads please be moved to the alt coins section? on: November 27, 2013, 03:05:34 PM
There are quite a lot of them in e.g. project development.

None of us care about mastercoin and have very little idea what it is, elaborate please, and why it isn't relevant to bitcoin. Keep in mind there's really only...3, maybe 4 people (including me) who can/will do anything about it.

I honestly know very little about MasterCoin, but it is built on top of the Bitcoin protocol and not a new blockchain, right?

This is about the extent of my knowledge of it as well, beyond that I have no clue what it is, or what it does, or why I should care, or not care about it. This isn't the first complaint though, so I'd like to see this get hashed out one way or another, so we can be fair. Nobody has cared enough to do that up to this point, and nothing will change until that changes.

I'll give my quick impression of it here and why I've left the threads so far. My impression of it is that mastercoin is like a service that uses the bitcoin blockchain, like ripple is to xrp?  It seems relevant enough for the bitcoin forum based on that, though my impression is likely flawed.
1566  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: The Official MCXNOW - REALSOLID SCAM Thread - Please add to this if u scammed. on: November 27, 2013, 01:25:04 PM
I can't believe you guys trusted RealSolid of all people with your money, wtf? Can't say you weren't warned either.
1567  Other / Meta / Re: PIA on: November 27, 2013, 01:19:43 PM
I read the OP and the several replies before they were deleted, but it didn't really make any sense, I don't see what the forum has to do with the PIA incident.

Edit: removed the pastebin link, if he doesn't want it posted I guess it shouldn't be.
1568  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can it be earning BTC from just ads and faucets on: November 27, 2013, 07:08:38 AM
Nope. it will take you around 20 years to get 1 BTC not worth the time.

In 20 years when BTC is >$1million.. maybe it was? Tongue

Still be better of getting a job and buying/earning them.
1569  Other / Off-topic / Re: Your favorite car? on: November 27, 2013, 02:42:20 AM
Are you serious that this $2k bike can beat a $100k+ car? Then what the heck is the point of a car if a bike is more fuel efficient + faster?!

Bikes will blow most cars off the road, mostly due to their high horsepower to weight ratio. A motorcycle will weigh around 350-450 pounds, and can have up to ~250 HP. That's a lot of power and very little weight to haul. If you want to keep up with a liter bike you'll need 900+ horsepower for a 4,000 lb car. For example, a Ninja 650r (not a liter bike, only a two cylinder 650cc), which is mostly geared towards commuters/new riders, has a power to weight ratio of almost 350 BHP/ton, with "only" 71 BHP, because it only weighs around 400 pounds.

Bikes can't keep up with race cars though, F1 cars and super karts and the like, they don't have the traction nor the aerodynamics. 4 wheels +downforce wins in the end.

As for the point of a car, most aren't concerned with being the fastest thing on the road. Fast enough is usually fast enough, leave the racing for track days.

I sometimes wish I had no ethics or morals, it sure is profitable.

Where the shills at now?

Edit: quoting this for new page.

Wow, I can't believe people are trusting Realsolid with their money. Greed is a hell of a thing sometimes.
1572  Other / Meta / Re: (PETITION) The act of BUYING/SELLING Bitcointalk.org Accounts (Poll) on: November 26, 2013, 06:51:14 AM
I hate to be the one to say this, but vBulletin has a way of detecting multiple accounts, and where they link to.. surprised SMF doesn't have this, or something like this hasn't been coded yet for SMF, especially for a site this size. You know?

Admins don't care about multiple accounts.

1574  Economy / Services / Re: Want to make some profit? on: November 23, 2013, 10:46:23 AM
I'm sorry you feel that way your dumb prick. Just because the person would get 25-50% doesn't mean im not making money? God your a fucking retard. 25-50% is THEIR profit, and i'd still  be making money. So go on somewhere.

LOL, scammers are getting dumber and dumber.

1575  Economy / Speculation / Re: Ho lee f**k.. Did I goof hard or wat??? on: November 23, 2013, 10:43:08 AM
Why are you panic selling on day to day movements? Think long term, look at the charts over the past years.
1576  Economy / Services / Re: Want to make some profit? on: November 23, 2013, 10:41:02 AM

$1000+                                         38% -50%                                     30 Day  unit

Last time I am posting this.

Those are the percentages I worked out when I got home. No need to continue to post bullsh*t. So unless someone is serious, I will NOT respond to the scam talk. I am not scamming. I am truly just trying to make a little extra for the holidays. If you think i am scamming, then fine. Thats your opinion. And if anyone wants to give it a go, then post their results that would be cool too.

Take care. Message me if you are interested.

Have a great night.

LOL

So you can make up up to 50% profit in 10 days, but you need to make money so you're selling this money making machine? That makes no sense whatsoever, you're an idiot, and anyone who sends you money is even more of an idiot.
1577  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Staff member please help me ..... on: November 23, 2013, 10:20:49 AM
You only need one post to pm, so you can do it yourself.

The whole "we take if it's a closed bet" is a harsh fix to shitty problem of late bettors who'd would make the site nearly untenable if they were not discouraged.

can you explain how exactly it would make the site nearly untenable?

Quote
I also think gambling sites should be allowed to set any rules they want.

really? you would be OK with rules that blatantly exploit users? you think it's OK for users to be held accountable for the webmaster's shitty code?

we're not in a court of law, people aren't forced to use the service, bitcoin isn't technically currency, blah blah blah. that's not even the real issue here.

this issue here is that bitbet.us are just plain assholes. they wont think twice about robbing you over some bullshit technicality. the apparent PR guy doesn't have a professional nor moral bone in his body.

i don't know that he even has bones. bones have integrity. he's a human jellyfish as far as i'm concerned.

open offer to bitbet.us to collectively choke and die, you slimy fucks

Ever been to a casino?  The house is blatantly exploiting the customers.  There are games where you can lose your whole wad at once.  It is explained in the rules.  Some customers play those games, some don't.

That's business.

that was the worst analogy i've ever read. here's a better one.

you go to a table, and place a bet.

you hand over your chips. only then do they let you know that the table isn't accepting anymore bets. however, they are going to keep your bet because it's a rule. there's no good logic behind the rule, only that it's a rule. THAT is exploitation.

That's not a very accurate analogy either. A better analogy would be that someone went up to the table, said they were placing a bet and that the money was on the way, but no way to guarantee it. Money didn't arrive until the deadline for placing bets had passed.

It's not very nice to keep it, but they did say they would up front. And I don't think anyone ever accused MP of being nice.
1579  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Forum moderation policy on: November 22, 2013, 11:45:27 PM
Thanks for this sirius. I take it that means we are not allowed to comment 'bump' on certain threads?

I think he said 1 bump per 24 hours

That's correct.

It takes you to a login screen that looks like this forum, so they can get your name and password.
