2301  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: October 12, 2021, 02:11:18 PM
It's not easy when you are MMA fighter because you need to control your anger and it's not always easy like in case with Jon Jones, and now with Chuck Liddell who got arrested and jailed on domestic violence charge.
If both of them are so tough guys why are they always attacking their wifes like this and not someone who is more their size?
https://www.tmz.com/2021/10/11/chuck-liddell-arrested-domestic-violence/

Agreed, and there are also other fighters who have gotten very angry and it presently appears that reality does not occur or apply to them anymore. Dominick Reyes said that he knocked out Jiri Prochazka in their fight hehehe.

Former UFC light heavyweight title challenger Dominick Reyes says he knocked Jiří Procházka out cold in their main event bout at UFC Vegas 25.

During an interview with Combat Sports on Fanatics View, Reyes suggested that the #2-ranked light heavyweight was completely unconscious following the kick. The 31-year-old said Procházka’s dead weight prevented him from taking advantage of the quick KO.

Source https://www.mmanews.com/2021/10/reyes-says-he-knocked-prochazka-out-fully-in-may-bout/

domestic violence always starts with argument and when a person can't win an argument it could become to physical. temper that couldnt be controlled, losing an argument is a no-no when theyre intoxicated.

even in a bar fight sometimes will just start with simple disagreement and then turn to street fight. too bad for jones a comeback may not come anymore.
2302  Economy / Economics / Re: Growth in the marketcap on: October 12, 2021, 01:53:40 PM

apples and oranges i guess but this proves that in a short period of time BTC beats them all that in just a decade a lot of money is poured into BTC cap than those popular companies like JPM and wellsfargo. its quite a journey for crypto that ETH had surpassed them too.

by another 10 years, all the ones on top could be replaced by new crypto smart contract platform.
2303  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitmain Confirms Halting Its Shipment of Antminers to Chinese Customers, why on: October 12, 2021, 07:40:28 AM

there is no needed explanation for that the company has to comply with the laws but isn't the company located in China? they can only ship outside china then?

The market demographics for Bitcoin mining rigs is shifting after China decided to once again ban Bitcoin, its mining and all other crypto-related business operations. Now, the demand can be so scattered as miners located into other countries which are so willing accept them. In USA, there are now some famous locations like Texas opening its doors to such a business. In Europe, there are some smaller countries who are friendly to Bitcoin mining. The ban certainly will not be affecting much the business of Bitmain as soon demand can be jumping for new mining equipment.

the ban affects their business for sure. if they have to decide somewhere i think South America will be a better place to manufacture asic miners, probably El Salvador will treat the company with benefits.
2304  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin mentioned in Ted Lasso finale on: October 11, 2021, 03:17:56 PM

Okay so this is the second time I've come across Ted Lasso mentions on this forum. Probably about time I give it a watch.

Last time Bitcoin was mentioned in a local movie where I. From, it was in the same typical poor erroneous light. Guy even kept the bitcoin in a suitcase ha ha.

Last time I saw it mentioned in tv was in the series Startup, where they actually said their new crypto was superior and more private to Bitcoin. While running it from a single server. And keeping a straight face!

you are going to spend more than a day on a couch for that because i think Ted Lasso is already season 3. sometimes i also just wait for reviews and some people talking about the show before i get to be interested to watch. if its a popular series, it should be worth watching.

hope they are not featuring BTC on crime series where they'd how how BTC are used by the criminals.
2305  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you want to see Bitcoin legal in your country? on: October 11, 2021, 02:52:46 PM

Of course, I want to see Bitcoin legal in my country. There are huge financial problems & unemployment in my country and Bitcoin will work as relief for these problems. It will provide an opportunity for young and old to do something to improve their economy. And with hard work, study and after getting experience they will able to do much better to run their home economy.
Once bitcoin will become legal in your country, a lot of opportunities will come for the people to help, of course, it could help to reduce unemployment as it will create more job opportunities. Look at El Salvador, they are very supportive of the business in their country and they like them to accept bitcoin, and if that will happen, adoption will increase and the economy will grow.

The positive effect may not be abrupt, but slowly it will grow as adoption increases.

months had past already since the time countries like Panama or Brazil show interest in making BItcoin a legal tender but there are no new updates from thise countries.

it really helps the ammendment when the president has the political will like Bukele. if they don't have it, decisions are affected by influencial people who are against BTC adoption.
2306  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Decentralized Exchanges Vs Centralized Exchanges on: October 11, 2021, 02:25:07 PM
users are sometimes untrusting to deposit coins or tokens but they can avoid doing this with dex since assets stays in the wallet even when trading. were all familiar with uniswap which kyc is not needed as well which is what dex users want for privacy.

even dex today are prohibiting users from China. they prompt an update changes to their TOS about citizens from China. it doesnt sound dex when they do this.
2307  Economy / Economics / Re: Investors Spent Millions on 'Evolved Apes' NFTs. Then They Got Scammed on: October 10, 2021, 04:29:45 PM
If you are talking about Lost Relics on Enjin then I too have known this from around 2018. Did play the game a few times but it was too simplistic to be enjoyable. The developers still have the NFT functionality built in where any in-game items you win will appear in your blockchain wallet. Its just that the games themselves aren't refined enough to have this economy make much of a difference.
I still hope Lost Relics can have a sustainable economy at some point. For now it's not possible yet because the game is in Alpha phase, and many items we have acquired grinding don't have a function in game. But an usage is being given to them as we have new updates being introduced. I've played for long hours already and have also bought a legendary bow weapon through Enjin platform. For me it has been entertaining.

While I'd prefer that these working projects reach scale and find lot of players, the reality is that till a real game studio comes on the scene, single developers and small teams simply cannot deliver the same level of art and game mechanics. When the big studios decide to pivot to blockchain, these games will simply stop getting supported as the developers will be hired by the established studios.
I think the called Indie games will still have attention and support from players' community, although in minor scale if compared to the products of big studios, just like we see in the traditional gaming industry. Maybe developers can be hired by an established company or even have their games purchased by someone else and that is a risk to be taken. However the risk also exist when you make purchases at any other virtual games. It's not an exclusivity of blockchain games' category.

This is what has been happening forever and that is the reason that people just want to make a quick profit as soon as possible. The "Flippers" are at the bottom of the food chain. The real predators are the people like those behind "Evolved Apes". The ones who realize that it is easy to create hype in this space and decide to simply scam people out of their money.
Speculation inflates prices a lot during hypes in crypto market as a whole. People just need to be careful where they invest money and if determined investment worths that amount to be invested.

As I understood, in Evolved Apes' case there were only promises of a potential game, what was already a red flag indicating people could be dealing with a predator, as you said. After all the guy behind the project didn't create anything. He just collected money from investors, ordered some art creations from third party artists (who weren't paid) and ran away with the money.

As you mentioned games created by bigger studios, the most recent mmorpg one is called MIR4, created by a south korean company called WEMADE. The game has introduced its own token called DRACO and has promised NFTs for November. It works in partnership with WEMIX wallet. It's a free to play game.

since he did nothing. create nothing then it's really a sign. what he created are just website and accounts to convince that something will happen. and it happened, he got what he wants.

you can't expect someone who is anonymous, with a motivation to scam and handed over 798ETH which is worth $2.7M will not run. such an opportunity never comes every day for an anonymous developer. if i was one of the investors i wouldn't really expect to get the money back.

2308  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FURY VS WILDER WHO YA GOT? #FuryWilder3 on: October 10, 2021, 02:37:43 PM

Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury's fight is going to be a big one. I read it is scheduled for today October 9, 2021. Guess it should be on the way already or maybe midnight in Nevada T-Mobile Arena. These are two stubborn boxers and it is a tough fight. I can put my bet on Tyson Fury.

Today is 9th October. Can you tell me exactly at what time this match between Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury will start. I am sure this will be one of the best match as no one can predict who will be the winner .

Hope you know that the battle has come and in favour of Tyson Fury. It was a fight for the favour of Fury as must predicted it to be, it came up  that way

https://www.google.com/search?q=wilder+vs+fury+3+results

This is round by round analysis of the fight

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.si.com/.amp/boxing/2021/10/10/tyson-fury-vs-deontay-wilder-3-live-blog

didn't see the entire fight and had not bet but it was such a good fight on youtube which fury throws more accurately. there are videos on youtube actually with only highlights but this is the last round where wilder falls. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iaIrnjx931c

it was tyson fury that dominates even when he also knocked in the previous round. this is what happens when big men are up to knock each other.

2309  Economy / Reputation / Re: Do you think Lightlord behavior is acceptable? on: October 10, 2021, 02:06:43 PM
Now also, Lightlord has not logged in to the forum since September 26th. He might have had some personal problem or something but he should have left someone in charge.
Same old, same old.  I would never join a campaign that he's in charge of, unless he hired a very reputable manager, of which there are only a handful on the forum.  Last time he had Lutpin run his campaigns, you know what happened--a similar thing to what you described in the OP.

Campaign managers that don't respect their participants annoy me to no end, and that includes late payments.  They have a job and the participants have a job, even though there's no contract, and I think the relationship ought to function like a RL employer-employee one, where it would be unacceptable to hand out a paycheck late.  That's especially important at a time like this, when bitcoin is being very volatile.  A delay in payment of even 12  hours could mean that the participant loses a lot of purchasing power.  Bitcoin is money, right?

Props to Foxpup and DarkStar_, by the way.

Let’s give lightlord a week or two & if he doesn’t pay up I will paint him red. What do you think?
No offense, but that's the absolute opposite tactic you should take.  The participants should stand in a united front and demand payment immediately.  That way there would be no chance of retaliation, unless he decided to fire all of you at the same time.  I understand that's the reason why most campaign participants don't complain.  Hopefully that's the reason and not that they're all satisfied to be treated like suckers.

Brainboss is running the campaign well though. even posted just recently to pause the campaign if lightlord does login yet. it was said that he is sick as said in this thread . sick is too general but it explains the long absence but maybe just a few minutes of his day to respond here.

no participants have come here to complain though. but this i guess is because lightlord had run the campaign for a time.
2310  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: *Day Traders* are now calling gambling Addiction helplines!! on: October 10, 2021, 01:45:11 PM
Cryptocurrency is an asset striving to provide solutions to myriad of problems from finance to counterfeiting, entertainment to gaming,  and the new kid on the block,  defi and metaverse.  Trading Cryptocurrency is not gambling,  the presentation of Cryptocurrency as a fast money making is!  Many people were made to believe that they can make quick money trading and investing in Cryptocurrency when in actual fact,  they were just gambling. Cryptocurrency is far away from gambling!
People need to change their perception that crypto trading is a fast way to make money because that needs many things before earning money from trading. They need to learn about trading itself and master every lesson to be able to make a profit. That is the only way they must do and to avoid that crypto trading is the same as gambling. If they do not learn anything, maybe that can be considered gambling because they only guess what coin they should buy or just follow the other people's suggestions.

if they trade altcoins, it's a sure win to lose. altcoin promises made them invest in crypto.
it's also what drives people to cryptocurrency because they see crypto trading as the fastest way to make money. the motivation to earn more drives them to go into crypto trading and then addicted to it. they wouldn't be calling for help if they are winning but if they are losing that will make it look worse. it likely affected their daily lives that's why.

2311  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: *Day Traders* are now calling gambling Addiction helplines!! on: October 09, 2021, 07:34:22 AM
if he buys ETH at $3600 and then sells at $3300 because his speculation went wrong then he is a bad gambler as much as a trader. i guess it's fair to call a hotline since he calls it gambling anyway.
Let me be specific, I am not talking about margin, future or any type of leverage trading but just only spot trading. You know that if someone lose money to gambling, he lose it forever, but many traders are panic traders, without no leverage, some will first be losing, the price of the coin will be increasing back to the extent it will increase and the trader will later gain. Gambling can be all-or-non while trading is different in this way because someone can be losing but later gaining.

Some people are using trading to gamble, these people are beginners, some do not analyse market but just trade the way they like, this is gambling. But for professional traders, they aren't gamblers even when they are losing, there is still chance that the trade can go other direction and favour the trader, but if gambler lose a game he lost it and can not be reversed. I am not talking about binary option because binary options is just pure gambling.

they analyze the market actually. if you look at the forex traders engaging in binary trading options which somewhere along the line of gambling, they read charts and understand how to use indicators and predict the market so well. it's still called "binary trading" though but very close i suppose.

same with spot market, many will buy low and sell high in the hourly char and sell whenever they see price is overbought. they will call it an accumulation. if they panic while it's dropping and the chart can be confusing whichever the trend will go, they sell resulting in lesser coins.
2312  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: No one talks about Sic Bo!? on: October 09, 2021, 07:24:31 AM
It was my first time hear about the game name so I tried to search for a little. I listed some gambling sites which have Sic Bo. Hopefully, that is what you are looking for to play that game.

https://bitcasino.io/casino/table-games/onetouch-sic-bo-pro you can see the game
https://www.wildtornado.casino/casino-game/belatra/sic-bo-belatra
https://www.cloudbet.com/en/casino/free/live_game/ez_sicbolive/adc2ca4d-a9c0-406a-b036-1b8388bb871b
https://www.bitstarz.com/slots/super-sic-bo
https://www.betcoin.ag/game/sic-bo-10
https://www.gunsbet.com/games/casino-slots
https://goldenstar-casino.com/games
https://www.bitcoincasino.us/game/sic-bo-habanero

I do not know much about the game, but that is the site I got while searching on Google. You can see that some gambling sites that we already knew, such as BitCasino, have Sic Bo, so I think you can start to play on that site.

looking at the photo alone seems a very difficult game to understand. but basically, it's just that 3 dice there. lots of combinations that you will actually think you could in every throw of the dice. tried going to bitcoincasino to check the site loads very slow though, i don't have an account to the ones listed. i wish to just try it to learn without betting anything though.

probably just bet my altcoins to see what happens. no other popular crypto casino that has this one i guess.
2313  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin transactions is so expensive on: October 09, 2021, 06:45:42 AM

high priority can go up to 13 sat/vB which is less than $1 but i can sometimes see it goes up to 25 sat/vB, most of these transactions are worth a lot too. obviously, it's still very low compared to sending ETH.

this is in the LN. low priority is 1satvb when the price of BTC reaches up to $100K, its the value in USD will rise but it's still going to be 1sat/vb. it'd be interesting if the mili sat will be added.
2314  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Gervonta Davis vs. Rolando Romero - December 5 on: October 09, 2021, 05:33:24 AM

Because we all favour Davis here, he has the tools and has slowly gaining experience. As compare to Romero who hasn't touch any fighter in the level of Davis.

I like Davis chances on this fight, but a boxer with the power to knock out can pull out an upset, I'm looking at Barrios performance against Davis, Barrios has the power the skills but cannot find a good opening to land his big punches and when he initiates he always get caught by Davis counterpunch, and Romero keeps calling Davis little man, now this is a bad strategy, he is undermining Davis power if he takes that mindset against him, he will be in big trouble.

i bet for Barrios that day expecting an upset, it was me that's upset by the outcome. luckily we just have to bet small to win big in betting for an underdog. Tank is just too good to make mistake. he knows the value of making his record clean because they are influenced by Floyd.

Romero surely will review that fight. if he sees himself having a chance, he can brag and trash-talk all the time on youtube but it's different inside the ring.

2315  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: *Day Traders* are now calling gambling Addiction helplines!! on: October 08, 2021, 06:44:16 AM
Day trading will look like gambling if the trader does not analyze to find the coin instead of using the other suggestion to buy the coin.
That can lead them to select the wrong coin and in the end, they will just lose the money and can not make a profit.
If you can analyze your trade and not just listen to other people, that will not be considered gambling because you have the basic thing you use to analyze.
Maybe trading could be considered as gambling as we hope that the coin will increase in the next few hours/days.
But for me, trading is not similar to trading if we know how to trade.
Just my 2 cents.

its individual outlook of the traders on speculating the price. if 1 out of 100 that says trading is like gambling, that 1% will look at it as gambling even with candlestick charts are analyzed. i don't see it as a problem if they are just going to win but if they lose even in the spot market.

if he buys ETH at $3600 and then sells at $3300 because his speculation went wrong then he is a bad gambler as much as a trader. i guess it's fair to call a hotline since he calls it gambling anyway.
2316  Economy / Economics / Re: When will the role of fiat currency disappear against crypto. on: October 08, 2021, 05:48:19 AM
not gonna happen, countries today are developing their own stablecoin through CBDC. this is the path where governments are going through where cryptocurrencies are going to work along with it.

But I think there will still be a debasement of fiat when it comes to currency trading. it could be Yuan or YEN or probably in the future where BTC will be the reserve base currency.
2317  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Risk in Crypto Assets Portfolio on: October 08, 2021, 02:21:03 AM

it no matter who you are whether you are a retail investor, a fund manager, or a trader the risk is the same, you lose money/clients when you don't know when to exit your trade when the market is beginning to collapse so the outcome is the same, loss.

the risk is what drives the thrill in trading cryptocurrencies, you enjoy the ride or loss more when holding the coins for a long time. determining when to buy and sell will always be a good tool for us.
2318  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Karnataka Government Banned Online Gambling on: October 08, 2021, 01:17:43 AM
If I am correct Gambling is banned in India and the same applies for betting. There are some states that allow lottery, not sure which states do. This kind of a ban does not make any sense as offline and online gambling falls under the ban. That is why there are so many incidents of illegal gambling and betting activities happening in India. I do not think such bans will affect a gamblers because if they want to gamble they will find a way.

it's a bit of a test for one state only to see what effects would do if they ban online gambling in one area. this is big and a progressive state in India known for its commercial businesses. the pandemic has created more people to go online and do stuff in there as gambling and then addiction. the government is up to stop addiction.

suicide because of gambling loss, is the outcome of addiction and this is just one person. there are more out there that might kill themselves without calling hotlines so the government steps.

2319  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Gervonta Davis vs. Rolando Romero - December 5 on: October 07, 2021, 03:12:20 PM
Clearly this is a professional boxer, I often watch davis in the ring, davis has a good career in boxing, from 25 fights 24 wins KO, this is awesome, I remember the time Davis vs. veteran JM at that time, it only took 5 rounds to win and so on in the period of continuing to win 8 times in a row without losing.

What I remember most about Davis' opponents back then was: Pedraza, Fonseca, Walsh, Cuellar and many others all KOs.

To be honest, I'm not very active following Romero's boxing, of course everyone has a boxer they are proud of but for this time I bet Davis is my hold, whatever happens.

yes this is a pro boxing but this one could be compared to pro versus midget. not to look down on romero skills. he is absolutely good base on his record. i'm not sure if i ever heard his name before or the name of his opponent either. but he has serious gap to eat to reach that heights. it would be okay if this is an exhibition fight but this is a real fight.

who ever made this deal hates romero so much. 😁
2320  Economy / Economics / Re: Evergrande situation on: October 07, 2021, 02:54:43 PM
For many this all has not been much of a surprise at all.  My former manager at a large financial firm I used to work for sent me an article one day that was titled something like "the ghost cities of china".  The article predicted exactly what's going on today.  China has had these major real-estate issues for years now and the writing has been on the wall.  How will this all play out? Who knows, China lies about everything, so it's hard to truly know whats going on over there.

there are serious problems besides that evergrande debts and  ghost cities of china. the growing threats on the expansions thay build and taiwan conflict which could cause war. but all thes also affecting other nations as this all started with money printing.

if china prints their currency too thru the CBDC, the debts of other countries to china will also starts to bubble up. all countries with trade relations to china has to keep printing money from now on.
this will lead to BTC domination.
