1441  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you bet is chess matches? on: January 05, 2023, 03:25:38 PM
hard to really analyze the skills of chess players when they get to thier career where they are both known in chess. with only one false move, they could just surrender in a game that started less than a minute.
1442  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SEC classified FTT token as a security on: December 22, 2022, 08:39:02 PM
The only problem is why that garbage SEC was taking such decision after FTX has been collapse. Why didn't SEC take a step when FTX was just launching FTT?

SEC was also garbage.

well there wouldn't be funds donation from SBF, you wouldn't want it if you are one of those in the congress visited by SBF's friends.
SEC will make the rest of the tokens to be security as well. Gensler already said it before that 99% of the crypto are security except BTC. but this time at least SEC step up and maybe dev teams can no go offshore.

there will be a lot of crackdowns by the country where they go, its time for each country to also make money out of crypto companies. Bamahas is one of the lucky ones to got in the first.
1443  Other / Off-topic / Re: Be The Judge... on: December 22, 2022, 07:20:18 PM
does sound like it can happen in my local barangay where we always wait for the SWERTRES result. but sure we can always see people fight over $198 and the more it boils blood he learned he has to pay $5.

this is overblown that they brought their gangs to resolve a simple problem. when as a matter of fact the gameshop has records of how much was spent by the guy. even if he throw all his tickets, everything is the in the book.

1444  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't buy altcoins because they are top altcoins on: December 21, 2022, 09:54:53 PM

new projects always come up but the top ones are still there. they may have been outranked but their price still good.

but there is truth to top coins eventually falls its position. Bitshares was one of the token i use to have since my fellows in the chat community was somehow recommending. just like EOS being recommended back in 2017 and then failed miserably.
1445  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Exchanges in decentralized wallets are unreliable on: December 21, 2022, 09:47:13 PM

so he is saying its the ledger that has the problem?

changely is popular but i think most people who goes there use debit/credit cards to buy crypto not swapping. this is getting many people confused already whether which is safe to go. custodial and hardware wallet will still have problems like this one. another fud for users who got out of exchanges to return.  Grin
1446  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is difference between Wrapped Bitcoin and Bitcoin? on: December 20, 2022, 04:58:24 PM
So what's the point to buy and hold this shitcoin e.g. Wrapped Bitcoin?

It was a way to convince Bitcoiners who didn't want to sell their Bitcoin that they could still hold on to their Bitcoin and trade it with shitcoins, or to take advantage especially of those yield farms.

So Wrapped Bitcoin makers (and all other Bitcoin IOU makers) simply say:

"Let us keep your Bitcoin safe, you take these IOUs from us and stake them or use them in liquidity pools and earn your yields and commissions. When you want your Bitcoin back, just swap out the IOUs".

They just wave some custodial nonsense into the mix so people still think they control their Bitcoin and that they can use their Bitcoin on other chains. They can't and they're not.

and when they are insolvent like FTX, its not going to be 1:1 anymore. and it happened already just the same with wETH which was depegged.

so many IOUs were created and people gave up their BTC all for a token they can use in the platform to provide liquidity hoping to gain more on the defi platforms. its kind of a scam but seem to have worked to lure users.
1447  Economy / Economics / Re: A fact that the general public don't know on: December 20, 2022, 04:29:13 PM
the cycle of bear and bull still happening and the worse issues we thought had happened already back in 2018 bear market. yet there are worse than worse to come. who knows what else will it be in 2026 bear market.

and also FTX hearing makes the real issues disappear from public eye like border issues and the Ukraine-Russia war that is getting worse also. the news are all about FTX but the war was not on the headlines anymore.

1448  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why there are no cool games on: December 20, 2022, 04:19:01 PM
Tekken is old school. this is a game i have played before , same time when i get to stay in the house of a friend for a week just playing the tekken or twisted metal. Twister Metal game will be good to play too for 1v1 game and we could bet each other.

its not that there is no developer have yet figured this out but i'm guessing this will be more difficult to host and develop than dice and roulette. if you have the taste for these games, you can just try the esports.
1449  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cock fight game on: December 20, 2022, 04:15:22 PM
But we must not let them continue to play cockfighting because it involves the lives of animals.

Are you really serious about that?

Can we apply that argument to poultry chickens that were every day killed for human consumption? Or you will say that it's another story because people need to eat every day regardless if it's a chicken or not?

I don't understand why you are against cockfighting because it involves the "lives" of animals but enjoys eating a chicken meal.

There's no Science or Math there.
That's different buddy. Poultry chickens that are killed for human consumption every day are those that are reared and used for consumption. But a chicken to play cockfighting will become a carcass when the chicken dies, although you can still eat it. It's completely different.

Maybe you enjoy playing cockfighting, and there is a different feeling when you see the cocks betting, getting injured, and some even dying in the middle of the match. But I don't, and go ahead if you like it.

well we eat them, i personally had ate some of these rooster when they die in the fight. but that was years ago.
most raiser of these cock fighters are sentimental that if their cock fighter won several times like a champ, they save its race and keep it alive even if its wounded severely. and then reproduce its race also.

they have their own community where they share the race of the chicken, they have their own market which these rosters are traded and traveled from island to island. they do have facebook groups for the raisers treating the animals as pets.
1450  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Edward Snowden is ready to become Twitter CEO for bitcoin pay on: December 19, 2022, 06:35:24 PM
Is it only me who finds these polls made by Elon just desperate attempts for advertising his new toy (yes, Twitter) and keep some action going on there?
I find a bit unlikely Elon will step down this quick - he might find some trick to get out of this dilemma he created for himself - and I also find it highly unlikely to make Twitter CEO people like Snowden or Snoop Dogg or others who would propose themselves as CEO.

He desperately needs a solution, especially after he "restored the freedom" and then started disallowing this and that (including the most visible thing: the links to competition), and a new CEO could be the salvation he needs. But, again, I have some doubts he will do it.

The only correct/hones thing in this shitshow is Elon's answer there:

The question is not finding a CEO, the question is finding a CEO who can keep Twitter alive

it doesn't look like twitter is going to die. is it?
a lot of people are still there and are tweeting every minute. and there are still lots of discussions that are trending.
Snowden offering as CEO might be a bit of crazy. But he might be able to make the Twitter more alive, Snowden must have lots of things to discuss in relation to free speech that's for sure.

Stay tuned ll post photo when i buy new macbook air in 24 hours with with the winnings. + a meal with the most expensive resuturant.
Congratulations in advance, since you are so sure that you double your money,
But right now, I am guessing that maybe things later did not workout the way you had planed it, which is why you have not posted your new Mac book.
All I can say is that, gambling is never predictable, any thing can happen at any time, it doesn't matter how close you are to winning, if it's not your lucky day, the game would still crash leaving one at a big loss.

Macbook air with innvoice (today date)

of course i bought a mac everything went smooth. i should put 10k like i felt.

maybe you can pick another in the next UFC event. there is in bellator though on dec 31 https://www.tapology.com/fightcenter/events/94478-bellator-mma-vs-rizin

1452  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: UN to offer cryptocurrency aid to Ukraine refugees, questionable rationale,, on: December 19, 2022, 03:33:23 PM

that's for sure. the refugees will more than likely to buy BTC after receiving USDC. its gonna be a free money turned investment.

Will this result in the crypto market being energized again? What do you think?

i couldn't be sure. but the when US provides stimi during covid lockdowns, many of them are buying coins and altcoins. its not going to be surprising if they are going to do it again after all they are receiving USDC which they only need gas fee to send it to an exchange. so they would need Stellar (XLM) for the gas fee? I'm not familiar with XLM actually but it will be cheaper for its current price is just $0.07.
1453  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: UN to offer cryptocurrency aid to Ukraine refugees, questionable rationale,, on: December 19, 2022, 04:57:42 AM

that's for sure. the refugees will more than likely to buy BTC after receiving USDC. its gonna be a free money turned investment.
providing the refugees with aide will do good but the better for them to have a job which, they should just build factories or hire them to companies in the city.

UN using crypto such as stablecoin on Stellar blockchain does look like an adoption. nothing is more important than to provide for the refugees though whichever kind of currency will do.
1454  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 Oscar Awards betting and discussions on: December 18, 2022, 05:55:25 PM
Its not too early for this thread because the films that could be put into betting will be released now or they wont qualify.  There is some debate as the quality of the film and its reception generally, some people will always hate a particular film but it can win anyway.
so I believe he should be well nominated and who knows, maybe even take the statuette in 2023, we'll see!

I'm also betting big on Colin Farrell's feature film, he received the longest applause of the event so far: there were 13 uninterrupted minutes of applause, if I were there my hands would be red Tongue

Changing gender a bit, I also believe that Cate Blanchett is the main bet for the 2023 Oscar.
Fraser is popular man of the moment, just a nomination would be a big come back from the abyss and a nomination is a kind of win; they advertise nominations during film promotions so its a win for both company and actor really.   However I dont actually believe he will win, I remain unconvinced so far but we got time to decide yet.

Of the three I'd expect Cate Blanchett is with the best chance I've been a fan for 25 years or so shes done the legwork for sure & I need to watch Farrell's film.

i did watched the fecking movie i don't know why but probably because i saw this thread last week. its tragicomedy just as described. cutting fingers all because his friend still talks to him despite how hard he pushed him away is too extreme. aye the movie had won awards in Ireland already and Farrel won Volpi Cup best actor.

and the movie features the best scenery of the fecking beautiful island. best pictures if not. swear not to fecking watch this kind of film. avatar 2 isn't nominee afaik.
1455  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Another Bitcoin purchase for the dip. on: December 18, 2022, 04:33:37 PM

like they said, invest the money you can afford to lose. you will still be happy as its liberating to have something that no one can get from you in times of uncertainty. congrats happy DCAing.

when you finally made it to the bull market, you definitely have the right to take your share. exciting days ahead if this binance fud is the last of the bears.
1456  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.us social casino review- Play legally at Stake in US on: December 18, 2022, 04:24:31 PM
Will the gambler be required to sign up on Stake.us the same way we sign up on stake.com?
And this gold coins, what is the mode of payment for the gold coins? is it crypto or credit card or both? i would like to know for clarity sake..
And i want to also believe that all the games and features available on stake.com are also provided on stake.us?
You can try and check the website even if you are outside US, but you won't be able to proceed with it and will be blocked with this message "Sorry Stake.us is only available to customers from the United States, try Stake.com" however that information you asked are available on the website support.

Anyways, yes, they will need to register on the platform to play. Unfortunately, since I wasn't able to access the platform, I cannot provide an answer if it has the same games with Stake.com.

About Gold Coins, it was explained on the website. Here is information from Stake.us about Gold coins and Stake Cash.
Quote from: https://stake.us/
Gold coins - What are the gold coins and how to earn them?

The first thing you need to know is that Gold Coins have no monetary value and cannot be redeemed into prizes.
Gold coins are tokens that you can use to play our games for fun and entertainment.

How to earn Gold Coins?

You can earn Gold coins in a few different ways:
By registering on the site
By logging in every day
Through promotional activities
Purchase of bundles
Quote from: https://stake.us/
Exchanging Gold coins for Stake cash - Can you convert GC to SC or redeem GC?

Stake.us operates in virtual token currencies, Gold Coins and Stake Cash.
Gold Coins are a virtual token currency that has no monetary value and they cannot be redeemed for any value whatsoever. They can only be used for entertainment.
Gold Coins are not in any way redeemable, refundable or exchangeable for any other currency.
Stake Cash is another virtual token currency that we have on the website, and it has no monetary value either. It cannot be purchased, it can only be obtained through free, promotional offers.
Stake Cash can also be redeemed as a prize in a form of a crypto.

From my own experience I have a friend in Washington, and his experience in stake.us is very good, some time ago he told me that I would recommend some casino sites that he wanted to play, of course I told him stake.com, but at that time I didn't He was authorized for the USA, so I had to tell him that there were other opportunities but with crypto, he had to buy Bitcoin, which he did not like very much due to the fact that he is unaware of the scope of Blockchain technology and the benefits that bitcoin has, Just 2 days ago I spoke with him, he told me that the casino that I recommended to him from stajke.us is very good, that now all he does is play there. The policies seem phenomenal to him and he doesn't see a problem, he says that so far it doesn't affect him at all.

he must be using VPN then because Washington as said above is restricted due to its state gambling law. someone from a restricted state might not be able to withdraw his money when they look into his account.

Stake.us is made for US gamblers and Stake simply comply with the laws. its confusing when the support says .US is not run by Stunna.
1457  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency (Bitcoin) Can't Be Stopped on: December 18, 2022, 11:03:19 AM
they would have stopped Bitcoin when it was still at the very start back in 2009 but even then there were already lots of developers creating their own blockchain coins. even the doge can't be stopped.

FTX collapse use as clause by law makers to regulate crypto and the first thing they do is to contain Binance. Gensler was asking to have control over crypto regulations to all countries which is really not acceptable even to the tiniest country's sovereignty.
1458  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: NFT Speculation on: December 18, 2022, 10:30:10 AM
I think it's going to be the next one to be regulated? I read news before that NFT are the new honeypot for criminals to launder their money by buying those expensive art?

Not sure if this is true though, but it makes sense, sense other "loopholes" in crypto has been closed already by regulators, so the criminals will have to find another way to sort of mix and hide their illegal money.

So just matter of time before regulators comes with their heavy hammer and go to NFT space and crack it down.

Its a perfect place to launder money.

1- you have stolen/dirty founds on your ETH wallet
2- you create new, empty ETH wallet, not connected to first one and create shitty art with monkey
3- you put shitty art with monkey on sale for 1 mln$
4- you use dirty/stolen founds to buy art
5- you end up with 1 mln $ clean founds from selling art on 1 eth adress and shitty art with monkey on "dirty wallet'.

Fun fact is that this shitty art with monkey has trade history of being sold for 1 mln $. So its possible that you will find newbie who will buy it for 10k$ (because its down 99%).

I'm sure that 90% of big NFT trades, that everyone is excited about was just an example of scam explained above.

true that. hard to sell the NFT unless its attractively famous done by the popular artist as well. it just negate the purpose of laundering which is to liquidate to cash out clean. the launderer wouldn't really consider selling the $1M worth of NFT and sell it to $10k to which you already said an newbie will not spend a dime.

Donald Trump NFTs are sold out though. but that is what i mean by popular entity releasing his own. Trumps NFT is not really impressive but its sold out or maybe he is also the one laundering 99$ worth each.

1459  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: SIM Registration: Anong Dapat Ipag-alala? on: December 17, 2022, 02:54:26 PM

1460  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Huge Binance outflows - should we be concerned? on: December 17, 2022, 02:45:48 PM
US wants to regulate the crypto market but they are not the ones to decide where this market will go, not even us users of BTC. the free market will decide and there will be people who will be using Binance as their storage just as the people do before 2022.

the FTX scam may teach the millions of users not to store their coins on exchanges but later when this market gain back the momentum, another incoming investors will do the same.

they wanna find faults to Binance. but because of the lack of regulations in US, Binance will also push back to what they want which causes all these fuss. It already cause a downturn so were all in it.
