1541  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The pump of Trust Wallet Token (TWT) on: November 15, 2022, 04:31:54 PM
so i have read it today in cointele a newly published article today. and CZ had promoted this Trust wallet also, not surprising anymore that this is becoming a popular wallet instead of the BTC wallet.

they prefer trust wallet not just because they have BTC but also some BEP tokens.
https://cointelegraph.com/news/ftx-collapse-is-trust-wallet-token-s-gain-why-did-twt-price-soar-150-in-six-days
1542  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / The pump of Trust Wallet Token (TWT) on: November 14, 2022, 04:27:35 PM

as of the time, its 111.64% with a price of $2.46. last week it was just $1.04.
i didn't join to their chat channel but one user said, people are moving to their own installed wallet due to what happen to FTX so they are now using Trust wallet.

i don't know why of all wallet why this one. is binance messing?
1543  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What Can Be Done To Reduce Gambling Related Issues Like Suicide etc? on: November 14, 2022, 02:39:10 PM
there had been lots of prevention, google banning gambling related ads must be one of the effort. the popularity and the gambling business is just too lucrative that even on teens, gambling becomes very usual.

Steam gambling for instance, there are already CSGO skin casinos where the teens playing. winning cheeky CSGO skins lured them to gambling. the Valve   knew about teens gambling but because they profit from it, they don't warn the gamers.
1544  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Here is my take on FTX case on: November 14, 2022, 05:36:08 AM

i'd really doubt you will get you money back. it will be investigated like in mtgox and will just stop there. no distribution of your coins. there will be tons of questions to answer if the investigation goes public and more worms from the can coming so they'd rather stop there and speak to no one. coins will be seized probably just stay dormant for years while SEC tackle regulations for awhile and then wait for bull market and every one will be happy again to forget FTX.
1545  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN created by NSA & Promoted by BIS since 1997; Trust Seriously U R Joking? on: November 13, 2022, 05:06:44 PM
all the bad things happen in crypto is on 2022. OP presenting an evidence for this will be the worse. this will comedown to the bitcoin is dead again.
but this theory about BTC was created by NSA had come up over and over already. this isn't new as the fud also renew the cycle.

so far we have not read it yet telling us that satoshi is a NSA engineer which they have the private key of satoshi after they murder him.
1546  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Copying Bet From Other Unknown Bettors, Is This a Good Practice? on: November 13, 2022, 03:42:34 PM

there wouldn't be any difference in copy-trade in etoro but the fact that anyone could lose even the high rollers means you could also lose.
but you maybe able to learn from it because these guys wouldn't bet big amount if they are also not well informed about the team they put their money on.

if we can only see the winning rate of the highroller it might just make you breathe easy copying his bet. unfortunately, we can't see it.
1547  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Roobet has won against Eddiesanya (Stake) on: November 13, 2022, 03:31:15 PM

whether kickboxing or mma, seem adesanya really is intimidated by the looks of alex that he is uneasy inside the octagon. although he'd probably won it if its just a decision but he went groggy. if the referee didn't step in, he'd sure lay flat. he'd might need 2-3 win fights before Dana can give him another shot for a rematch.
1548  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Exchanges or platforms with too good offers. Be careful on: November 13, 2022, 03:22:34 PM

We all understand that after what happened with FTX, it has become my realization that any platform with any offer that is given is not necessarily entirely good because there have been so many terrible failures that will have an impact on us if a platform falls and collapses again.
I honestly didn't think that such a large FTX exchange in the world had to fall overnight without any prior notice this even contributed to CZ's suspicions which ended up being a bad day for SAM.

Once again I don't want to put my hopes again on the platform even though they have offered an interesting one for me, now I don't want to be seduced by the platform anymore and it's true in the saying it's too good to be true.
The issue now is Crypto.com and Gate.io being fried news they have lack of liquidity what I know in the media, although this is not necessarily the truth I will remain vigilant about this.

crypto.com got the funds back thanks to gate. but i'm still wondering why they would send ETH to gate. i don't think its a mistake like they said. pretty sure they also wanted to dump ETH.

20% rate from LUNA is overly too good to be true. the 6% of some platforms that i also tried joining is also too good to be true but because project was running still since 2017, its a dex and tokens are not sent to them i'm comfortable my coins will still be mine. still i'm not sure what they do.
1549  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The US is the most aggressive country on: November 12, 2022, 05:03:31 PM

not likely. US can just shift to BTC reserve as there had been suggestions of this.
BRICS having a lot of nations trying to join because of the gold standards they have been talking I think will really be more attractive compare to the Ponzi you are taking about. Saudi Arabia wants to join the BRICS, they are speeding up the stroke to get away from the dollar.

meanwhile US also wanted to push the war as means to escape the declining hegemoney. EU has better chance of making the peace actually, their leaders are starting to oppose US sanctions. if they fail against Russia, then BTC it is. the war may continue, i don't think Putin will stop also, this mad dog is determined, he is carefully strategic to bring nations on his side and its working.

we're all spectators and we can only watch until the dark clouds covered the sun. i hope not. there is no much reason to live life.

Not likely. The reason for the assassination of JFK back in '63 was that he was taking the US off the Federal Reserve banking program. He was bringing money back under the US Treasury. When Johnson took over, he switched everything back to the Federal Reserve.

The Fed isn't going to change to BTC.

Cool

BTC is something to consider. its as good as reserve. the world already sees US is not reliable after they left Afghanistan. big super powers are challenging them such as Russia and China planing their own monetary system.  the smaller ones are even up to join the gang too.

US feels it too that they can't just give a directive that USD will be for all which everyone else follows. that is not the case anymore.
allies are turning each other like Australia because they are about to sign a treaty banning nuclear weapons.
1550  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Implications of the FTX and Alameda Situation for Cryptocurrency and Regulation on: November 12, 2022, 03:21:15 AM
billionaires like Bankman-Fraud don't get jailed. he was prepared for this since he had donated to politicians long before his scheme was exposed.
but he also made lots of people mad at him who put all their hopes to FTT. lives are destroyed. if someone naked with a hammer breaks in his mansion while he is sleeping, it wouldn't be surprising anymore.
1551  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance walks out of FTX bailout...Another Twitter scenario?? on: November 11, 2022, 02:56:02 AM
It's a very reckless behavior from FTX team, mishandling customers fund, this has damaged their reputation. With this FTX failure, people will now be very much afraid of CEX. I personally hold significant of my fund on on my private wallets. DEX has made a lot simple.
No it's not. DEX has the same risk as CEX, once your dex got drained or hacked and it will have the same fate as FTX. There's no safe place in crypto. The problem is using people's money to invest in another project through its VC was the biggest mistake by SBF.
This gonna be a long term problem. Alameda needs to liquidate all of its assets even its company to give small liquidity for the users of FTX.

Alameda fucked us.

To me, this seems like some kind of manipulation.
And just when the market is recovering CZ and FTX issue came up.
No wonder we're always adviced not to save our funds in Central system.
What manipulation? all of truth being revealed. Look at the tweet that already made by fuckin alameda CEO. CZ was just trying to test the liquidity from FTX. it seems like that CZ aware about the truth in alameda and FTX. that's why he was deciding to dump all of its FTT to the market.
Nice cash for CZ but CZ was also fucked so many FTT holders / retail investors.

yez in CZ's mind, that's what you get for not going all in BNB!  but he tweeted he felt sorry for SBF who is now a peasant to them. no hard feelings.

CZ is avoiding the regulators coming in to investigate FTX. he'd rather watch the exchange drown than getting tangled with all the scrutiny.
Justin Sun i think wants to chip into save the exchange. but this is just him being Justin again.
1552  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance walks out of FTX bailout...Another Twitter scenario?? on: November 10, 2022, 05:37:27 PM

not a twitter scenario. this is funding the loss. this is not to be low ball.

binance already faced a lot of challenges from regulators due to the nature of crypto and them operating on foreign countries.
if them giving billions to FTX comes with all the headaches is worth then CZ will push through the bailout. acquiring FTX will activate the big eyes of Gary Gensler to scrutinize the insolvency of FTX and CZ will be grilled over and over again.
1553  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Lebanese Adopt Bitcoin Over their Fiat. on: November 10, 2022, 05:08:50 PM

Considering the hyperinflation, it is expected to see a lot of people buy bitcoin as an investment even during a time where it drops. But still the adoption is very small, even in a country like Lebanon with hyperinflation so claiming that the Lebanese have adopted bitcoin is false. Only a small percentage have invested in bitcoin.

As for legality I couldn't really find any solid news. Some sources say it is illegal but nobody enforces the law. Some other sources say there is no such law to begin with since the legislation hasn't passed anything yet.

a bit risky. the small percentage i guess are the rich people in the country. if i am from Lebanon i'd take the risk.

the crash of BTC just yesterday must have made Lebanese panic. a custodial wallet with access to stablecoin would be best for this country to make the adoption. access to USD is vital to poor countries like Lebanon. USD is such a good hedge and even profitable to hold for countries with runaway inflation
1554  Economy / Exchanges / Re: FTX issue might be for the greater good on: November 10, 2022, 03:47:00 PM

FTX losing the game is like getting rid of the bad eggs in crypto.  yes its for the greater good for investors wanting to buy cheap also.

they were very confident in bailing out Voyager and other crypto companies but in hindsight they were actually losing funds. it was all a show telling their investors that they have bought properties everywhere.
1555  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Coins on an exchange, any exchange, are never safe on: November 09, 2022, 06:35:38 PM

the traders keep theirs on exchanges because they are on the lookout to make money on opportunities like the FTX bankruptcy. you wanna sell fast when the price plummets going to $16k, that's the advantage but they are also risking when the exchange pauses withdrawals.

if you don't care of prices going down and you want to be on the safer side, take your coins out the exchange.

1556  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: FTX Scam : Unable to withdraw on: November 09, 2022, 05:22:15 PM

rumor was that FTX first offer the bailing out to OKX but declined after looking at their finances as well. of course they'd have to look at the financial status and how much is needed and if its still worth it knowing clients are fleeing. this is really not good for FTX. binance seeing the finance was way too toxic, CZ will really stay out it.

thought we are not going back to $17K. but here we are. nice plan CZ.
1557  Economy / Economics / Re: How much longer until paper money is no longer in circulation? on: November 09, 2022, 04:57:48 PM

poorer countries will take time, there are still places in my country that has no internet and people has no phones. it will probably take more than a decade in my country and we don't yet have CBDC in plan. what we have are payment systems that's peg to our local currency, close to CBDC still. our government always prefer private companies running everything including the basic necessity like electricity.
1558  Economy / Economics / Re: EU solution to energy crisis: print more money and ensure economic crisis! on: November 09, 2022, 06:52:41 AM
Just when we thought that the Germans are the most stupid ones, the Japanese went one step ahead and did something even more stupid.
That is what happens when a country has little to no independence when it comes to geopolitics and national interests. Both Germany and Japan are the losers of the second World War and have been practically occupied by United States ever since. They even "shut down" any nationalist movement like Abe in Japan if they start even thinking about independence...

japan headline news was prompted a few days ago where they are also selling their bonds and USD. they know they need to trade to Asian countries like China, they can't afford not to trade. this is an isolated country.

japan however had already taken a beating, their currency is way down but like any other country printing money is the way to go to deflate debts. printing is way peaceful way than going war and EU are done with it. they seem to realize they are not wining.
1559  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who will win, FTX or BINANCE? on: November 08, 2022, 05:59:18 PM
For me, this is not good for the cryptocurrency industry if there will be a loser here. We all know FTX and Binance exchanges are huge and well reputable.
Let's say FTX will be rugged and forced to shutdown, then it will be a loss for the crypto industry, regulators for sure will take this as a lesson and become more strict in regulation cryptocurrency even with how big or good the exchange is.
That's exactly my thought too. It's not even about who wins but the scar that will be left on the crypto industry. Those two are major players in this industry and for them to dance naked publicly shows the unnecessary display of ego in man. Now, these two elephants are fighting; it's the grass that suffers it. Again, this incident is more likely to make SEC and other regulatory bodies begin to poke their noses into both exchanges. Unnecessary invitation.

i think CZ saved the crypto industry from crashing. if he didn't discover the near bankruptcy which FTX is about to execute a bankrun, just imagine how deep the price could dive if SBF had dumped all the asset to the market.

regulators (SEC) will not be able to see this coming. its one reason that regulators i think has to be someone with resources. if they are not able to see it coming, they is now way Gensler is able to regulate crypto.
1560  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: betnomi is a scam site on: November 08, 2022, 05:38:34 PM
by 0 second, you mean instantly that you think they did not manually check your docs?

its very common in crypto to call scam but documents not verified is not a valid reason to call it a scam. was there funds in your account that you can't  wirthdraw?  all the more that you need to try sending again your real documents for your KYC.
