1301  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: We are about to enter altcoin season, what do you think? on: April 17, 2023, 05:56:09 PM
Surely altcoin season cannot happen right now? The market is just starting to recover? I thought the real altcoin season is here after btc halving and btc dominance goes down. Right not we seem to be far off.
It's possible that a bull market occurred ahead of the halving. looking at the history of the bull market, it is always the most awaited moment, it is the point where everyone sells their altcoin holdings to make a profit.
A new ATH will be achieved, but it depends on the development of each project, especially new projects that have not received full support from the community.
Just need to wait until the bull market occurs. Hold bitcoin for the long term and some altcoins to take profits when the bulls come.

what is happening right now i think is like a bull run ahead of halving. but there could also be another dip coming before the altcoin season.

the BTC dominance usually rises high above 50% before the altcoin season so i'm not expecting much to happen this mid-2023. it is however a good time to buy more of those altcoins that you think could pump to 100X. huge profit to come when you pick the right ones.

1302  Economy / Economics / Re: Al Transforming Job Market on: April 17, 2023, 05:30:50 PM
Sooner or later AI later transformed into robots and other machines are the ones doing human jobs with less error. Densely populated countries that are relying on labor might be a problem in the next decades to come unless birth control is successfully imposed. Even programmers might be soon with lesser demand if AIs are capable of doing the programs except on sensitive matters wherein humans are needed.

With this, education and enhancing the skills and interests of our kids are becoming a must if we want them to have successful careers in the future. And before that, we better plan ahead especially when it comes to financial security before engaging in married life and starting a family.

it's coming i saw already some robots in our fast-food restaurant bringing the food to the customer's table. some teens do summer jobs in these restaurants, i think there will be no training ground for these teens anymore in the future.

it could be too late to stop the development of AIs as what Elon was suggesting becuase it's already out. the codes are out there already and AIs as he said were used to lie to which AIs are already trying to manipulate people's beliefs.
1303  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Bitcoin has no use case" on: April 17, 2023, 04:56:48 PM
BTC is been proven to have many use cases in that Twitter thread. you can spend BTC like a real currency and the rest of the use cases are adding the value of BTC.

when i saw waste oil can be used for BTC mining, it seems very perfect to help the environment. we all support climate change. and BTC is even used in funding Ukraine so it should be easy for the government to support BTC, why kill BTC with CBDC is very antagonistic.
1304  Economy / Economics / Re: Scarcity and scale of preference on: April 16, 2023, 08:25:20 PM

a person's wants always grow whenever he has the capacity to pay for them.
this is just an example though but let's say a person works as a railway constructor, his money can only afford a burger and a bottle of water for a meal. but after a while, his boss raises his salary for being punctual. now he can afford a burger and a soda and a cigar.

while a cigar and soda are not really necessary like he needs them but because he wants them, he buys them. this is what i think OP means.
1305  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Recommend me altcoin to DCA till halving on: April 16, 2023, 08:12:43 PM

dogecoin and LTC are my first choice to hold when it comes to altcoins because i also use them to play in casinos. doge is my priority as its fast and it's constantly increased in value since the time it dip to $0.07. it's lighter to worry about while holding doge because i know it became the most popular altcoin due to Twitter.

the cheaper it is, the better for an investor to buy doge while BTC halving has yet not happened.
1306  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and Gambling 13 years later.......... on: April 16, 2023, 05:26:45 AM

Jimbo's idea is widely adopted now that even altcoins are also used to bet. he could be one of those users wanting to gamble using fiat but also encountered problems or seek anonymity.

i have no idea when BTC started to be used in online casino, BTC was always been associated as gambling coin for those that opposed its existence.
1307  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: FTT comeback on: April 16, 2023, 05:08:08 AM

the exchange reputation is irreparable. they can make the users happy upon returning those funds to them but that's just it. people will not send any money to the exchange.

it is easier to establish a new exchange than relaunch an exchange that is linked to one of the biggest scam. never in the history that an exchange associated with scam got the trust back from users they've ripped.
1308  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your favorites altcoins these days? on: April 16, 2023, 04:57:01 AM
so far altcoins are starting to pump after BTC touches 30k. what i'm watching these days is the VET (Vechain) a sort of Chinese POS token that i've just stake using the Vthor wallet.

token is yet to rise. its still cheap and can easily grow if there really is an altcoin season soon. you might have heard of Vechain if you watch UFC fights.
1309  Economy / Economics / Re: Does People Really Care About Decentralization? on: April 15, 2023, 08:20:01 PM

internet users are not conscious of the information they share about themselves even on social media. they do have school IDs and driver's licenses somehow on their facebook making them not anonymous.

anonymous is a plus but i think not being anonymous is not what decentralization is. it's about no one controlling and collecting data from a decentralized platform, especially in finances.
1310  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: OpenBazaar v3 on: April 15, 2023, 08:06:15 PM

i didn't know they shut down back in 2020. the adoption rate might work this time around. i have no idea how it work since the time i have installed openbazaar and tried searching no one was nearby.

they were just adopting BTC though. if they need more users to come join the market, i think they should also add more altcoins. there are users going to come when that's enabled.

1311  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: we don't have proper education on bitcoin. on: April 15, 2023, 07:55:03 PM
Please correct me if I am wrong
Even in today's modern world, except for a few people in Europe-America, the general public of the entire world does not have a proper understanding of Bitcoin. Sad Sad Except European-American, anyone who have a little idea about Bitcoin also have misconceptions. Due to this problem, many people are unable to invest in a great platform like Bitcoin even if they want to. This problem may not seem like a big deal to many, but think about third world countries. A sad reality is, in my country 80-90% of the population are not familiar with Bitcoin.
Is there any way to solve this problem?

I think that the problem will solve itself out in the near future as Bitcoin becomes more and more adopted. Although I would prefer to see it all happen a bit faster, personally.

Right now we are in the early times when people who do self-research on Bitcoin and then invest in Bitcoin are the ones who will be majorly rewarded in the long term before everyone else catches up. The earliest adopters already have proven this. Although back in 2009-2012 Bitcoin was a very niche thing and not everyone had heard of it, so its understandable that not everyone had the chance to know about it.

Nobody will be allowed to make the excuse of why they did not research and invest in 2023, though...

i remember there are already some universities offering blockchain courses, i'm sure they are also going to cover BTC in thier discussions. for now, the ones that has can be relied on was Antonop's book like The Mastering BTC. that's the closest thing to proper education i guess and then reading the whitepaper. one thing that i see is that its not read by the newcomers since we're all up to trading and making money.

1312  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why only a Bitcoin trading pair is the best thing? on: April 15, 2023, 07:38:09 PM
I think one of the reasons why Bitcoin trading is the best and the best is that when one trades only Bitcoin, his profit will be less than other coins or tokens and vice versa the chances of losing from other coins or tokens will be much less. I personally think that Bitcoin can be the only product for long-term trade management or long-term planning.
If this is for long-term trade, or meaning long-term investment, I do agree that Bitcoin is the best crypto for long-term investment. The proof has been clear, it's trusted. But if this is for daily trades, I think that many traders will also love trading altcoins that have high market caps, or moreover, the new hype with high risks, because they can also earn money from it. But as I said, this will be exactly risky. However, altcoins with small prices will help us to gain more profits than trading Bitcoin moreover if our amount of capital is still small. However, once more, this will again depend on how our trading strategy and habits.

it is the volume that's in BTC/USDT that traders will like and prefer to trade in this pair. for spot traders, the whales with thousands of BTC can easily liquidate the amount especially if he is on the major cex same for buying back.

there are altcoin traders but are often not good for futures or spot because all these altcoins still just follow the price movement of BTC. nothing better than just staying in BTC.
1313  Economy / Speculation / Re: When do you think Bitcoin will hit $1 million for the first time? on: April 15, 2023, 07:08:32 PM
To begin with, bitcoin must reach the $100,000 mark in order to move forward. If you think back to what happened when bitcoin hit $69,000, it is clear that the path to $100,000 is very thorny. When bitcoin reached $69,000 people almost stopped buying it because they were scared and the realization that they would have to wait a very long time for the 2x also played a big role. Who and for what purpose will buy bitcoin when it reaches $100,000?

when the price hits $100,000, that fear might betray them this time when it's going to rise more than what is expected. the crypto market is unpredictable and while there is a global crisis that will last for years, the price of BTC could be more than $120,000 after halving. while the value of their savings decreases tremendously, they will jump into BTC pushing the price to more than $120K.

i doubt it will reach $1M as said by Balaji though. 2037-2042 probably, it's going to be expensive and investors will look for other altcoins as they see the majority are also going up along with BTC.
1314  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Who is losing? Finland joins NATO. on: April 14, 2023, 07:44:51 PM

Finland I think is not hostile to Russia, they don't have people in the borders wishing to be part of Russia as well. Ukrainians in the Donbas was wishing to be part of Russia which in that region was all Ukraine separatists wanting to be independent.

but i think Sanna Marin won in Finland despite her ridiculous party dance because she is also supported by Nato. it only needs an intelligence report to find out what is going on in Finland before Russia takes action.
1315  Other / Meta / Re: why bitcointalk don't advertise anywhere. on: April 14, 2023, 07:18:23 PM
it's a board to advertise on its community, not a company that will provide services.

bitcointalk is already the biggest crypto forumboard, there is no other that competes with bitcointalk. b because of its useful and unique content, it got organic traffic and new users. although there are other crypto forums, they don't have active users contributing to the content. when Theymos allowed ad auctions, there are many members bidding on the slots but right now he stopped it.
1316  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Binance deposit address expiring on: April 14, 2023, 03:56:40 PM

they didn't say the coins you have will disappear though. if you have an ETH stored in binance, i think your ETH will still be there when they upgrade since they didn't suggest a thing that you need to do.

i did receive an email like this one. not kind important. if they could only give users an option to generate wallet addresses every time, it would be good for users to be anonymous somehow.
1317  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 10k investment on: April 14, 2023, 03:00:39 PM
XRP had not hit its ATH since 2017 but ADA did. but they are both just crazy tokens that will also be dumped to its knees every bear market so holding it up to 3 years will not be the best way of doing it. you wanna sell it while the price is high. you do not wait for the price to dip after 3 months after BTC hits ATH again. most probably altcoins are the first to be dumped.
1318  Other / Politics & Society / Re: If war starting soon where is the safest locations on: April 13, 2023, 04:57:19 PM

there could be no safe place if the war becomes nuclear. once a nuclear country launches one nuke warhead, they will not stop as US, China, Russia, and all other countries like NoKor will be launching thier nukes as well. there ain't going to stop becuase each will be protecting their own. they will rather burn other countries than them burning of course.

even if you're in the pacific i think you will still be swept when waves are coming due to the bombs. all you can do is pray these super power will not use nukes.
1319  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If I have $40,000 to invest in one #cryptocurrency. on: April 13, 2023, 04:51:03 PM

$VET is my bet.

we all have a preference in viewing which has more potential and which one could be adopted sooner than we see it. thereby one may choose ADA, SOL MATIC. but becuase they are all top tokens in the CMC, i think they all will have their own bull run. whichever you may put your money on, you can be assured you can profit when they soar to their ATH.
1320  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is Technical analysis a must know in crypto trading? on: April 13, 2023, 03:31:20 PM

today you just watch just about anything on video-sharing sites and learn technical analysis by watching tutorials is somewhat ideal for everyone who has a phone.

all there is to have is an interest to learn to trade. which is also difficult to have when you have nothing to invest though. you definitely need some push and money to play around as capital.
