2321  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Banks hope to issue their own "bitcoins" to fight BTC on: January 14, 2021, 02:55:31 PM
Guess you mean "hope to issue Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC)"

I wonder why the article calls Bitcoin "Private Cryptocurrency" though. Does the writer mean  "Privacy cryptocurrency (Privacy-coin)" or is he/she trying to say that Bitcoin is a Private (rather Public) coin?  I wish the writer could clerify this so people don't get confused.

Bitcoin is clearly a Public Cryptocurrency with fair degree of privacy/anonymity for users. It's a transparent and open/public cryptocurrency. I wonder if CDBC can beat this standard, to become more public, transparent, safe decentralized, etc...
2322  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China: Bitcoin a hedge against confiscation of wealth? on: January 14, 2021, 10:58:04 AM
Here is a fascinating Forbes article about how the potential for confiscation of wealth by the authoritarian regime in China may be boosting Bitcoin, inspired by the mysterious disappearance of businessman Jack Ma.

"One can almost see Chinese billionaires buying up Bitcoin, just in case Beijing comes for their wealth. Lord knows the dollar is in decline, and they probably already own a ton of stocks."

https://www.forbes.com/sites/kenrapoza/2021/01/10/does-china-have-a-role-in-bitcoins--rise/?sh=6bf595a64965

This also touches on how Argentinians are buying Bitcoin after the government's crackdown on holding dollars.

Ultimately, these are cases that echo some of the original objectives for Bitcoin, rather than as a get rich quick scheme. Although no harm in getting rich in the process Smiley
I think this is nothing but more of a conspiracy theory. I can understand that disappearance of Jack ma has raised a lot eyebrows but a theory that he might be stacking up bitcoin during this time looks like a strange theory. But what I think that billionaires like these have the capacity to overturn even the biggest empires and government. They have tons of money to create dissent among people. And they would have already stacked up loads of bitcoin in it's bearish phase. A billionaire who can control the market fiercely won't wait for such high prices to buy Bitcoin.

The bolded is possible if you allow the will of the people rather than Just Law to rule over a nation.
It's also possible that crafty people will use the law to commit evil without breaking it but when you consider what the law was created to achieve, you will most likely discover alot of their trespasses against national laws(especially the fundamental ones)
If you have committed law enforcement people and a population who understand the importance of justice and enforcement of Just Laws, it will be difficult for their enemies or people who hate their values to overrun them
2323  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔮 Futuur - Predict the Future! 🔮 on: January 14, 2021, 09:39:12 AM
I'd rather not bet on things that cannot be transparently/openly proven by the public. It's a bad idea to rely on hearsay or what officials say without verifying the claims.

I take the general point, but I think that from a betting perspective this is okay. Particularly on the Futuur platform, where if you look into the details of each event, you can see the criteria for evaluating a result detailed quite clearly. So the vagueness or uncertainty of determining the outcome in the real world is already factored into the outcome criteria, and it forms a part of your consideration when entering into the bet.

The criteria should include competition/event with football-match level transparency as minimum standard of transparency. Events, games or competitions that could be allowed for bettors to participate in should be very transparent, open and fraud-proof. This could be a form of provable fairness in such events.
2324  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Netherlands pilot scheme to allow women to play in senior men's team on: January 14, 2021, 09:08:45 AM
Commenting on the discussions above about physical harassment, I have played in mixed teams many times (women plus men) in a few different sports and this has never ever become an issue. I think, even if it becomes an issue later, many men would defend and ostracize the offenders. That has no place in contact sport,,, so I believe it is not a big issue at least not in my culture where women are respected.

Love women's football:)

Things will be quite different in club football where players spend much of their time together traveling, training, playing, in hotels, etc. I guess they will still be required to have seperate rooms, bathrooms, safety rules for different genders etc.

Yeah this will likely be the case, and much is such seperation going to affect the team? think a lot of bonding between the teammates happens of the field, in the locker room, in the hotel, in the gyms. Maybe I am wrong but with different locations for different genders it might be harder to become a closed group. Not that I don't like womans football, there are some very talented girls out there who play really well. It's just that mixing genders seems wrong in my opinion. Same goes for transgender woman being part of female teams, it's just wrong.

I think both genders can freely mix together in open places, like field, conference room, hall, and other open places that matters in their football career. I don't think mingling in private rooms, toilet, hidden places etc will help their career.
If i have a female child who is talented in football and a club wants her to play for them, I will make sure the club will protects my child from harm and abuse. Those boundaries will likely protect her.

2325  Other / Off-topic / Re: Interesting way to resist sexual lust on: January 14, 2021, 08:44:14 AM
it's hard to resist to a beautiful girl or boy, is in human nature to try to have sex, it takes great willpower not to feel attraction, then if you look into each other's eyes i think it's almost impossible

Sex has rules guiding it. The problem with sex is if you do it outside of marriage you'll be breaking the rule. The rule is from the MAKER of our body who understands us far more than we understand ourselves.
The rule is for us to remain virgin and avoid sex till marriage. You only share your body with those you will be bonded permanently with. Only death can break the bond.
It's important to note that when you are married to someone, or when you have intimate sexual relationship with someone, you become "One Body" with that person. This is part of the reasons it's very important to have sexual relationship only with those you are married to.

2326  Other / Off-topic / Re: Higher education, is it so important? on: January 14, 2021, 08:17:05 AM
I wish if we had been taught trading since childhood, instead of carrying those bundles of books

School is too early to teach such kind of things because kids will not have such mental strength to carry huge amount of financial related stress but its good to have at some high school level for everyone.

I wonder what kind of "trading" he is talking about— Cryptocurrency trading or General trading? Where I'm from, children are normally taught different kinds of trades by those they serve as apprentice. Once they serve their masters for certain period of time, they are rewarded with new businesses or/and with money. Lots of the kids end up doing really well in their trading careers.
I think this should be balance though. They can combine basic formal education with the apprenticeship. You teach them basic things in life like reading/writing, religion, basic maths, civic, health education etc
2327  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: No 2FA and robbed of 0.097BTC on: January 14, 2021, 07:59:28 AM
From your statement, I can see that it cannot be considered as loss for you even if you have lost 0.097 btc because you have profited a good amount of money from your technique in the past so you can just consider it as your bad experience and make sure to avoid it to happen again.

It's good that you already enabled your 2FA, if you have some amount that you want to protect it will be better if you can enable all the security features in the site so the scammers can't easily move your money if in case they can hack your account.
You can't simply stare at someone if they rob you 100 dollars just because you have 1000 dollars in your wallet. Money is money no matter the amount so you can't take hacks as easy but it is not possible to recover so better secure the account from future hacks.
Exactly as he won it fair and square and the exploit reward was a reward for the issue he found on the game. Just because you've earned enough from the past for helping exploiting a bug or issue doesn't mean losing your money on what you earn on the current will justify something.
But the issue isn't on the site anymore as OP have been manifested by some virus that made his account vulnerable to hacks. Having a 2FA and additional security measure will help secure your account for potential hackers and prevent this issue from happening.

Thought Op has identified the cause of his problem and nolonger continues with his complaint here. Seems he now think that malware originating from a site maybe the cause of the problem. Wish he shared the site he thinks the maleware originates from so the site can be investigated by others.
2328  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I have never seen this in crypto space before on: January 13, 2021, 03:56:35 PM
I'm not defending EMIREX EXCHANGE.

But, before you used the exchange you should know the policy and other things about the exchange. Their fee is not 50/50, you typed the minimum thats why you only receive half.

They already have the fixed fee, go to check: https://kb.emirex.com/fees-structure for more information about the fee. One of the example, BTC fee is 0.001 and LTC 0.15 LTC so when you withdraw 0.002, of course, you only receive 50:50 because you are withdrawl with the minimum withdrawl other exchange could be same like this when they have the same fee and minimum withdrawl as EMIREX EXCHANGE.

But, when you withdraw maybe 0.01 BTC you will be receive 0.009 BTC and 1 LTC will be receive 0.85 LTC.

See? I tested type  0.01 and you will receive 0.009 BTC so you are miss understanding about 50/50 fee.

Adjustable fee or not, all depends on the exchange policy some exchange can be adjustable for the fee but some exchange was also have the fixed fee.

Interesting. So the problem is that they have large fixed fee for any amount of withdrawal.    If for example they charge $10 per withdrawal, you will be able to withdraw only $1 if you have $11 in your balance to withdraw. Exchange like not advisable for low budget users. They probably should check if it's possible to convert to another coin with low fee before withdrawing.

2329  Other / Off-topic / Re: What do you think of India on: January 13, 2021, 03:18:28 PM
The way I see them treat animals in videos really surprises me. I have seen a video of many Indians gathering to help a baby elephant out of a hole... they capped for the elephant's mother in joy for appreciating their help.  I really hope things like that are very common there.
2330  Other / Off-topic / Re: Interesting way to resist sexual lust on: January 13, 2021, 03:03:20 PM
Sure just don’t look in their eyes it could be truly intense and dangerous

Did you notice anything about it?

Don't look into their eyes.. *especially women eyes. Pretty strange ladies (or their images/videos) deliberately staring at you are usually the "spirit of lust" or someone possessed by the spirit. They stare at you to overpower you with lust.
I was revealed this in my early days of fighting lust. I obeyed "the instruction" without questioning (nothing wrong with questioning though... just that i 100% trust the source of the revelation.)

That is an interesting idea and probably feels really wierd at first. I already learned at an young age to look people into their eyes, not doing so would be impolite, and we don't want to offend anybody. Where else would you look instead? Looking into the sky while talking to someone seems a bit rude. And looking at their chest would increase lust even further.

If you have watched adult films (I don't recommend them atall because they are evil) you will notice how ladies are made to stare at the camera while smiling or behaving romantically. I think that is deliberate.
Here is part of the reasons why:
When you find certain images of ladies, you will notice they stare at you in similar manner and that may trigger you to remember the smiling ladies in adult films and lust will fill your body immediately.

By the way, I later discovered that the Holy Bible in Proverb recommends not starring at the eye of strange woman.

"Do not lust after her beauty in your heart, Nor let her allure you with her eyelids."
Proverbs 6:25

Since the day ive been into crypto I haven't seen such before

He who have ears let him hear

Emirex exchange is a scam and cheat exchange, do not make any deposit on the exchange, if you do be ready to share your asset 50/50 with the exchange to withdraw, yes you heard me right, I had 20$ worth of LTC and I have to use 10$ for withdrawal, you can't adjust withdrawal fee it's fixed,....

Is it really 50/50?  So, If you deposit about $10,000 on the exchange, they take $5,000 as fee when you want to withdraw the $10,000? If that is the case then it's either their fee calculation method is unintentionally flawed, They agreed with users to deduct that much or They are intentionally scamming users and taking half of their funds without their permission.

The below is I think a difficult one. Remember the recent excitement over chemical signatures in the atmosphere of Venus? Life doesn't necessarily mean little green men. This one is really difficult to call.

image snipped..
There are lots of undiscovered area in our world, and scientists is yet to found them so I am highly hesitant that human will find evidence of life out of the earth before 2025, aside from that the outside earth exploration technology is not yet that capable  of thoroughly surveying the outer space.  All our scientist have are assumption, theory and made-up calculations.

Those are simply assumptions and theories, unless scientists found an actual living organism on Venus then all the debates and hesitation will be nullified.  I do hope they don't fabricate things to prove their theories right though since no one can contest those stories because of the lack of resources to prove them wrong  Grin.

I'd rather not bet on things that cannot be transparently/openly proven by the public. It's a bad idea to rely on hearsay or what officials say without verifying the claims. Besides, it's wrong to trust people who can't be trusted. You see them lie habitually, act dubiously always or make consistent mistakes but people are still demanded to trust them. You don't trust things done in darkness except done by holy people.

2334  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you rely on the odds when placing bets? on: January 13, 2021, 08:09:22 AM
If you wanna get bigger odd always active and put your betting on live game, you can see prediction between two club which one favorite and looking when left one goal and getting have bigger chance to get back score you can put and get bigger odds, now I will active for watching many game and potential for betting, keep to know about match and always on time watch the game like badminton last evening, I saw favorite player have left one game and give bigger odds but in match he has bigger chance to win and I use odd betting and I can win.
Be careful because that prediction will not always work as if one club or team can perform better, it could change the situation from bigger odds to small odds. Maybe you need to search for more info about the team and not only their match because the other player can replace by the other, which can affect the team performance. If the player is on badminton or a game like that, we can search for their record or history to know how good they played before.

Ofcourse. That's probably what most sports bettors failed to do (doing their own research). I guess they think the odds are enough. Or maybe they don't know how to go about it, or think  research won't change anything because "betting is luck-based".
A bettor who has enough information on teams past/current forms could easily do better than those that only rely on site odds.    I think I'd compare my researched information with site odd and see which is more reliable.
2335  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sorry guys.. Bitcoin is not for our day-to-day transactions. on: January 12, 2021, 04:28:04 PM
If you are holding your bitcoins with the expectation of bitcoin will be hitting main stream adoption one day so that you will easily buy groceries for direct BTC payments and pay your gas bill with BTC, your dream will get fulfilled one day but after that you may regret for spending bitcoins for lesser value or for silly things.

I mean we are holding something technically advanced one but with old-fashioned expectations.

I agree.
I think it's better to use your bitcoin mostly for buying very valuable/useful things that "increase or create values", or things that won't lose their value in the future without creating sufficient value for you.
So, it's better to use your bitcoin more for very useful things so you don't regret spending it in the future

Interesting. But it seems all/most 1btc will always worth almost thesame price at any given time. 1btc that was worth few dollars many years ago will still be worth almost thesame as any other 1btc today, just as it was worth almost thesame as all/most available 1btc many years ago.
2338  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Paper money vs Digital currency on: January 12, 2021, 10:57:02 AM
A large majority of peoples in the world believes on paper money. They think that this is used for buying or selling goods and services. A currency which has a physically appearance in the world.
But the upcoming world is the world of  digital currency. Because it is easy and reliable way for sending and receiving money at any place in the world. We can send or receive money within minutes.
But there is a huge difference between both these two types of currencies.
So, it is very difficult that Digital currency will be adopted worldwide. Because of the users are not aware of this new technology and they are not comfortable to use this mode of payment. Because they don't believe in this technology yet.
So, how we  convince the peoples to adopt digital currency?Huh

Or probably "Two Forms of Currencies" (this is in regards to the bolded part)

I think currencies can exist in both physical and digital/virtual forms without problems. Cryptocurrencies should easily and safely exist in both forms if users choose to.  By the way, Users with Full Nodes should be able to safely verify the authenticity of the numbers/keys on a physical crypto model before accepting them.
So, I think you could allow the physical crypto version aswell for those who find the digital version weird or undesirable. When they need to verify the physical one, they can always use their easy-to-use/run nodes

Interesting discussion.
I still do not fully understand why such investment is not open to all investors no matter their  financial status. This is part of the reasons we have crypto by the way. I prefer to invest in well decentralized and safe alternative projects.
Fortunately we don't need to launch satellites to make decentralized "internet" possible in remote areas.
2340  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you rely on the odds when placing bets? on: January 12, 2021, 09:18:01 AM
It's a delusion. Your knowledge does not in any way affect the likelihood of your winning. A sports specialist and a beginner will show approximately the same results over a long distance. Therefore, in fact, when we place bets, we may not even be interested in what the event is about - we can only evaluate the offered odds.

Disagree with the first part. Knowledge plays the role unless you are betting in an event such as politics, race to the moon, race to the sun, dolphin count, vaccine race, etc.

However, I agree that we can evaluate our bets thru the evaluation of offered odds.

But why should we end up like that and increase the risks if we can focus on the sports we have knowledge of.

Ofcourse. An experienced bettor will likely do better long-term than beginners or inexperienced bettors. Part of what gives the experience bettor edge over a beginner is knowledge on betting right or successfully (using skills/strategies Ofcourse) without just rely on given odds. I believe this can be easily tested and proven.
Knowledge is also important in politics, dolphin count(assuming it is what I think it is), vaccine race.. .
The right knowledge and where to source it matters.
