1381  Economy / Economics / Re: Philanthropy as a paradox for the uber-rich on: August 13, 2021, 02:55:21 PM
Guess you trying to say they are not sacrificing much considering the privileges from government in form of monopolies, tax cut etc
Poor people who earn their living without such privileges and still give more than 10% of their income to the needy actually sacrifice more than the privileged rich people who give less than 10%.   So, I believe the real personal sacrifice is more important. I guess we should pay more attention to that
1382  Economy / Economics / Re: COVID advanced the world into the future on: August 13, 2021, 10:45:33 AM
Gambling in crypto is like a lottery the same is true of gambling, as it depends on luck I think it is better to invest in crypto than casino gambling investors invest in risky ways and there is no such thing as a complete loss like a casino covid has taken the crypto world a long way. People have been able to solve their problems by investing in crypto. Every job for corona infection is developing online based when gambling becomes too addictive, it brings it to the poor investing in crypto is profitable.

Guess you are referring to Betting/Prediction Market... To be honest, it could be designed in a way that works abit like trading... You deposit $50 and you bet little by little like you bet on cryptocurrency price. This will give bettors the opportunity to win some and lose some, the skilled ones will identify patterns and win more than they lose.
It just has to be designed right and you may end up being convinced that it can be both skilled and luck-based, whether the game/competition is luck or skill-based.

You may consider it as a game/competition market where prizes are won or lost. Just don't gamble or take big risk. Bet Responsibly.
1383  Economy / Economics / Re: COVID advanced the world into the future on: August 13, 2021, 10:26:02 AM
And this pandemic, however horrible, has opened the eyes of millions of people. They have started working remotely, or found new jobs online, they've never thought existed. This pandemic will end, but the world will never be the same.
The world will be more efficient working at home but I think our social values could take a new low.
Human resources are reduced by more than half, the company only retains important positions, only a few areas are still active, I do not find working from home more effective, before such a challenge, we can only do some small work from home with extremely low salary, educational experience is not applicable, this seems to be the weak point of working from home. Society consists of only rays of sunshine, the streets of fairs are empty of people, tedious and without the quality of the future created by covid

I agree that working from home is ineffective for me. It's like a government employee working from home, but imagine how they do their work at home. That is extremely difficult, and transactions are being held up. I am a government employee as well as a freelancer, and speaking on behalf of government employees, it is somewhat ineffective in terms of work, but it is extremely effective in terms of prevention. However, my main concern is that they are being paid for doing nothing at home. As a freelancer, we are very familiar with this, so it is nothing new to us.

I guess some people are better at remote work than others.   And the incentive model should be considered also. Workers could be paid more when they solve useful problems. Or they could be paid more based on how much useful contributions they make or how much problem they solve... This would be easy to implement online.
1384  Other / Off-topic / Re: What is the merit standard? on: August 13, 2021, 09:21:45 AM
I don't know about others, but I try as much as possible to give merits to those with faultless posts, or posts with little to no fault. The posts must be good/valuable.
1385  Other / Off-topic / Re: I have a dog named Bit on: August 13, 2021, 09:11:19 AM
Looks cute.
The second picture looks like he's standing up, I guess because you turn it at 90° angle.
Is the fourth image really you and the dog?

In regards to the question, I don't have any yet. Just trying to make I have one or more at the right time. Will probably call mine "Toshi"... Name sounds quite local too.
1386  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin being decentralised an illusion? on: August 12, 2021, 04:20:56 PM
It's as decentralized as the ease of running full nodes, taking part in network consensus and keeping the network operational by an independent Global Community. This is not done by a Central Entity and no one can retrict you from running full nodes and helping to keep the network decentralized.

The price can be manipulated just as the price of something as decentralized as Gold can be manipulated, but this will be easier for them without the transparency of Bitcoin Network... better still, it is done by them in secrecy and they can do that to any other decentralized thing that is controlled by demand and supply. You could prevent manipulations if manipulators are within the network and bounded by its principles/rules. This is one of the reasons we need to lessen any form centralization as much as possible
1387  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency: The Future of Finance in a New World Order? on: August 12, 2021, 03:45:17 PM
In 2009, the first cryptocurrency -Bitcoin-, officially launched and since then has continued to roll into a snowball effect that poses a serious threat to the existence of conventional finance. As much money as the restless World Central Bank, the government seems helpless and dragged into the vortex of the evolution of the world's financial system. The Covid-19 pandemic has become a catalyst for forcing the entry of all financial and banking industry sectors into the digitalization era. Imagine a concept of a world without physical currency. It is strange, but real. Money will be removed and replaced with a digital currency system.

It's not about physical vs digital currency. Fiat money is mostly on digital form already, it however isn't so easily transferable as digital because it runs on centralised bank ledgers. In order to decentralised currencies to become threat to current system, they would need to be accepted widely as possible, even more widely then any fiat money and i can't see that happening any time soon. Fiat pairs is the reason why regulators are even interested in this. Or why they can and should interfere.

In fact physical currency is way more untraceable then most digital currencies so i wonder why people want to get rid of it so eagerly.

It's likely they haven't really look into the disadvantages or don't understand the implications. .. Maybe they are more focused on the advantages or don't even know that it has really serious disadvantages.
If the physical one is eliminated it's going to be way too risky to use money because centralized (and virtual) currency would be preferred by tyrannical government. Such government will likely not be confortable with well decentralized currency system. Besides, a well decentralized cryptocurrency would allow users print their "coins" on physical things and use them like physical money.
1388  Other / Off-topic / Re: How do you cope with the stress of trading? on: August 12, 2021, 03:14:30 PM
I wonder what you mean by "if you don't have an outlet".
Anyway, In my opinion, if you don't want to be in that kind of emotional situation just plan your trades, have a trading strategy and automate your trades so you don't have to be glued to price & be controlled by emotions. You probably could reserve some funds in stuff like stablecoin/fiat to do this. You use parts of the reserve to buy whenever there is significant dip then hope to be in profits when price goes up.        If you can't do this, you could aswell use a price alert app to alert you whenever price goes below certain level so that you can buy some. I'd advise you do this with amount of money you can afford to risk/lose.
1389  Other / Off-topic / Re: What's your view on cannabis? on: August 12, 2021, 02:53:07 PM
Things like that should be used for food or for medical purposes, that's what they are made for. I don't know about the smoking though but I heard they get quickly absorbed when smoked. So I wonder if that's what causes things people attributed to smoking it.
If people are allowed to eat certain mushrooms I heard make the consumers feel different, why not the green plant.
I believe the plant is good. Nothing good should be refused or banned. You can however check the abuse/misuse
1390  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICOs, DEFI, NFTs, - what's next? on: August 12, 2021, 10:38:56 AM
I'm guessing that decentralized alternatives to services/things that are having challenges due to centralization will do really well in the future. When they become really necessary people would create them
1391  Other / Off-topic / Re: I wonder what awaits us after drones! on: August 12, 2021, 10:10:06 AM
Trying to understand the link between drones and advertising world in your post. . hope you throw more light on it.
If you're talking of small drones like quadcopter, I  guess people would by  now be working on those that can last longer in the air, work autonomously, have camera's that respect people's privacy, have covered blade, are safe, travel faster etc.
1392  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I see the whole thing from a different angle on: August 12, 2021, 09:46:10 AM
No hacker will want to spend time on a platform to steal money and return it, hacking isn't easy as many thinks, it takes lot of effort and time I'm just surprised that many are thanking the hacker behind poly network for returning the fund he or she stolen, hackers only tend to be nice when there are traces left behind probably through their own mistakes..

It's good they return the money ... assuming they actually did...
It's very easy do evil and be rich... but imagine what the world will be like if everybody does it.  The minority who do such evil are creating problems in the world.  What is restraining most people are their conscience and the fear of the consequences of getting rich from doing evil ... Besides, I don't understand how people enjoy that kind of money.

The thief should use the skill in bounty hunting or something. I guess they pay fairly well. Use the hardwork for good.
1393  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin anti-inflation? on: August 12, 2021, 09:15:18 AM
Ofcourse, that's one of the causes of inflation... But it's not as simple as that. The printed money will only cause inflation if it's used for consumption purposes, or for consumption of basic goods & services without adequate production of more of the goods & services.

So printing for that purpose can add to the demand of goods and services. If demand is greater than supply you could have inflation or there will be scarcity.
1394  Other / Off-topic / Re: Evolution & Survival - Who is the most 'evolved' species? on: August 11, 2021, 04:31:54 PM
The truth that can't be disputed is that other creatures were created to be under the control of man. So, this likely means man is at the top and evolution has nothing to do with it.
1395  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: PolyNetwork Hacked, $600 million Lost on: August 11, 2021, 04:09:29 PM
I guess we could say this has nothing to do with Crypto once any important ideal/principle guiding True Crypto is ignored. An unconfirmed report concerning the hack says the money (probably people's money) wasn't kept safe or controlled in decentralized manner... It would have been difficult for the hacker if it was controlled by multiple people...
People should always pay attention to crypto ideals before investing. Be very careful with projects violating them.
1396  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why hoard Bitcoin? on: August 11, 2021, 03:50:28 PM
I actually prefer you say it's best used as a Store of Value than a Currency. It's actually created for both (both as a currency and a SoV). And you can always use it as Medium of Exchange if you don't want to invest atall by for example quickly converting stablecoin/fiat to Bitcoin to send to anyone in the world.
1397  Economy / Economics / Re: Financial freedom and success comes from knowledge on: August 11, 2021, 03:24:36 PM
Financial freedom comes from knowledge, determination, hard/smart work and persistence.  lazy, stupid, timid and pessimistic it is impossible to be financially free.  This is the reason why we are forced to go to school and study when we are young, so that when we grow up we don't become stupid.

School is not a guarantee for someone to become a knowledgeable person when someone reaches adulthood. Creativity, mental strength, mindset, attitude, network of friends, circle and others are the biggest factors that will affect your success.
School is not a sign you've ever thought, but school is just a proof you've learned. Schools are only a small part of the business world. The next step you have to complete by yourself.
This is not to say that school is not important. Always remember, that the most valuable investment is the brain investment. Fill your brain with economic knowledge and also make your mood comfortable with economics.

School is one of the most beautiful moments of any person's life !!!! It was there that they taught us, took care of us, showed us that someone needed us, instilled love and respect for others and a lot of good and good things in each other.

Work in countries where the power is usurped by a dictator, such as Russia, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Belarus(around 200$ per month) - in all these countries, the average salary and pension are the same absolutely !!! Isn't it strange ? Yes, it is strange, but this is exactly the case because the government only gives us the means so that we do not starve to death, work as slaves and produce the next generation of slaves no more and no less.

In Russia, the capital of the 25 richest people exceeds the capital of the rest of the country's population !!! Is that fair ? Of course not, but dictatorships do not think about justice.

Life.... Our whole life sometimes undergoes changes and we move from one place to another. So, friends, life in the place where we are moving can be obviously much worse than the place where you live now, do not forget about it.

Life in the place that we liked begins or ends with the fact that we buy our own housing there !!! It may happen that housing in the city or region to which you have moved is acquired only by receiving an inheritance from deceased relatives(becoue of price is VERY VERY HIGH) and if you do not have such relatives in this place, we will never be able to purchase housing and fully cling to life in this place !!! You can rent a house until you die, in this case, our funeral will begin with the street bench on which we were found !!!

I am pessimistic-absolutely !!! This is because I am realistic !!!

and I love and respect all GOOD AND KINDLY people's because YOU SO BEAUTIFUL in my understanding !!!!! and it doesn't matter to me what you do, whether you sell drugs, do hacking and steal millions of euro(Yes, friends, I know such a person, I know what I'm talking about), or unload cars with cargo.

regard

Money stolen or obtained fraudulently either by selling bad/harmful drug, unauthorized hacking into people's stuff is definitely not owned by the one who obtained it. The real owner is  the one who the money was taken from.
I  think a good education system would teach people this truth so people will understand that solving useful problems(not causing problems or not solving atall ) is a honest way to earn a living and that does benefit society.

So the ones who make money dishonestly are kind of debtors who have to pay back or apologize to be free.
1398  Economy / Economics / Re: Why would people ever use bitcoin if its expected to always go up? on: August 11, 2021, 11:00:26 AM
I wonder if Op has researched how real currency worked in the old/ancient times. I wouldn't be surprised if lots of them appreciated in value, meaning their prices increase in relation to prices of goods and services. So, if you save some money at  home back in those days, you would expect that the price of the money would increase whenever the price increases in open market.
I actually think a real currency should be anti-inflationary and good Store of Value... that's what Bitcoin is basically meant to be. If you save $50 worth of Bitcoin for 5years where a bag of rice is worth $50,  and you withdraw the Bitcoin after the 5years... if the Bitcoin is worth $100 while the bag of rice is $70, the Bitcoin appreciation in value in relation to the price of the rice makes it anti-inflationary currency and a good Store of Value.
1399  Other / Off-topic / Re: Are NFTs a scam? on: August 11, 2021, 10:03:56 AM
It actually doesn't make much sense to me to pay huge amounts of money for mere art... I was wondering why till I remembered that people have been paying so much money for physical arts.     It would have made some sense if the arts have very valuable features or codes that can make people's life better or something.
Or maybe they have hidden information people who are aware of them find very valuable....for example, hiding a piece of info of locations of hidden treasures, foods etc on NFT and selling to people slightly higher than the real value of the things hidden in different locations.
1400  Other / Off-topic / Re: Higher education, is it so important? on: August 11, 2021, 09:37:12 AM
Well, if you are asked to choose between talents and certificates, and the success of your company depends on this, I wouldn't be surprised if most intelligent employers go for talented workers whether they have certificate or not. What matter the most is who can get the job done.
I actually wouldn't emphasize on certificate/paper qualification for my business.
Every job seekers would need to be tested first before they can be employed. If you are a good problem solver or you can easily learn and understand, I would take you.

Bad school tend to make people dumb or turn their minds backward. We have lots of bad schools in the world today.
