1401  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency: The Future of Finance in a New World Order? on: August 11, 2021, 09:16:57 AM
I doubt true cryptocurrency as we know it will only exist in digital form.   When that time comes, you can print your crypto keys on a physical paper for example and still use that like we use physical money today. So, true crypto would solve the problems that results from the elimination of physical money. Besides, there are other physical things that can be used if currencies go fully virtual/digital.
You need to have different options so we can have physical money to use when a global tyrant tightens control on money
1402  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin decision making on: August 10, 2021, 04:44:48 PM
I've addressed Number 2 here:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5249300.msg54453340#msg5445334

It's an Open/Public Network. Decision are made based on public consensus. At least, most participants of a decentralized open-source public Network can be part of decision making as long as they stick to the core values of the Network. That will help in harmonious decision making.
If leadership becomes necessary, leaders can be elected by the community through merit-based election process. The values of Network still must be respected during the election process....for example, the network can't say things like "The name of the leader must be known". Better they say, "can he/she do the job?" "and can he/she be held accountable for bad behavior even with anonymity"?
1403  Other / Off-topic / Re: Living in a van in style?? on: August 10, 2021, 04:13:43 PM
I think van life should be for those who understand the importance of living nomadic lifestyle or those who are natural nomads.
I have actually thought about the price difference but decided that it much better to find cheap/free lands in remote areas to build homes with your community while enjoying the van life. You can build homes in multiple places and establish thriving communities/businesses there while still enjoying your nomadic lifestyle.

It will be much easier with you if your wife understands that you aren't living that lifestyle due to financial problems. She needs to feel secure with you.
1404  Economy / Economics / Re: Food prices doubled this year on: August 10, 2021, 03:50:46 PM
In my country, its rises more than 40%. Maybe this will be much higher because this pandemic is not slowing down and new variants are being identified all over the world. These Coronavirus is getting stronger by mutation and make those vaccines useless. I hope the food supply will be enough even the price is a little bit higher. People do not want to starve to death.

Economic activity has slowed down, since the people are not stepping out of their homes. Even in countries such as US and UK, where the vast majority has been vaccinated till now, the Delta variant is causing huge number of deaths. That means that the businesses can't hope for a recovery anytime soon. If even the vaccinated people are getting infected, then there is no reason to return to our normal routine in a hurry. As such, the pandemic hasn't affected the food production. It is the logistics that is getting impacted.
Lets admit that not only this pandemic are causing this all because remember that we are also having a natural calamity and changes in weather in which will add to the rising of prices specially in food industries where live and fresh product is being offered.
like in m country where the price of meats(specially fork meat) is really making an outstanding increase in prices where veggies are also taking part.
so more or less the effect will come from here and there.

The disasters seem to be escalating as predicted. There are people in denial.   You could compare them to blind people in ship heading for destruction who choose to live in denial rather than working out ways to escape from the disaster.  Worst of all, they are actively preventing other people in the ship from protecting themselves from the disasters

PolyNetwork Suffers Record-Breaking $600.3 Million Hack
"PolyNetwork has suffered an exploit today. The attacker has made off with at least $600.3 million in stolen funds.

Multi-chain interoperability protocol Poly Network fell victim to an exploit today, resulting in the loss of roughly $600 million worth of various cryptocurrencies, the platform's developers revealed."
https://twitter.com/PolyNetwork2/status/1425073987164381196?

I read it is one of the largest hack, if not the largest so far.
People should be careful how they invest in  projects. In Crypto space, only put your funds in well decentralized, well tested and secured projects. It's a space that depends on the security of decentralization in place of traditional governments... You should demand true decentralization or don't invest atall.

Invest but don't gamble.
Will continue to emphasize on the importance of sticking to crypto ideals when you are in Crypto space, so we don't have too many regrets
1406  Other / Off-topic / Re: type of music when you get stressed? on: August 10, 2021, 10:54:41 AM
Mine is mosly calm/gentle Religious songs, but I have a song I watched on YouTube recently that always makes me abit energetic... I don't know if it's religious...and I don't really understand what they say as it's sang in foreign language ... I guess it's from Burundi... I like it alot.
The ladies in the video remind of ladies I saw in a movie(Coming to America") I watched while growing up.
The song can be found here: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=EJTJ6Oo2Vno
1407  Economy / Economics / Re: Where is the value reflected? on: August 10, 2021, 10:47:49 AM
Interesting. Depends on what they do with the investments. I think a cryptocurrency will benefit more from investors that use more of such investment within the cryptocurrency economy, rather than for purposes that would make price movements very risky or volatile.
1408  Other / Off-topic / Re: If you are learning a new language, post your tips on how you are learning it? on: August 10, 2021, 09:36:14 AM
There are language that I find difficult to learn no matter my effort...they just bore me.
But I have noticed that when I'm emotionally attached to a language, I easily learn their words. So, if you want to learn a language, you should probably find something you love about a tribe/society and learn the language of the society by learning that thing you love about them.
1409  Other / Off-topic / Re: How do I convince my family that I want to pursue my career in Crypto space? on: August 10, 2021, 09:14:00 AM
What do you really want to do in Crypto space, solve useful problems and contribute good things to society with your talents, Or just to make money? I think if you have a reasonable reason for going into the space, it will be pretty easy to convince a good family.

You don't need to be a programmer to contribute. There are non-programming tasks you can participate in and contribute. But you should always make sure to participate in things that are safe and valuable/useful. And I'd advise you do those things you are talanted in so you don't get bored and don't do well.
1410  Other / Off-topic / Re: Yoghurt on: August 06, 2021, 04:59:21 PM
I actually like it sour with no synthetic chemicals, sugar etc. I wouldn't mind natural/healthy sugar or sweetener though.

If I could make mine from freshly extracted milk without adding anything, I would like it alot.   Things I read on yogurt labels discouraged me from taking them atall. They made me abit sick back then whereas I took them for their health benefits

Boil freshly squeezed milk for 10 minutes.  and put it in the hot hot jar.  Close the lid tightly.  Leave to ferment for 24 hours at room temperature.  We don't put anything in it.  Make a small amount and give it a try.😉

Ofcourse... Will hopefully try that one day.
I thought about trying it days ago but it's bit hard to access fresh milk where I live unless you get it from nomads who typically found in  bushes.
Would have used the factory-made canned/packaged milk but the ingredients used in making them discouraged me. Will probably try to use natural honey as a substitute for unhealthy white sugar as well.
1411  Economy / Economics / Re: When debt is an asset on: August 06, 2021, 04:31:26 PM
What's the purpose of the negative interest rate.? Is it deliberate to encourage borrowing and stimulate growth? And who lends the money, government, banks, regular people etc? I assume typical profit oriented lender would lend in anticipation of profit.Or does the lender profit in another way?
1412  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How will Ethereum survive without Vitalik? on: August 06, 2021, 03:29:24 PM
Well, that's why it's important to build a decentralized network in a way that it can survive without you. Satoshi probably left many years ago yet his successors were able to carry-on without Bitcoin degenerating to something else. I feel it's also very important to build a system that fairly promote very talented people with similar passion and ideologies to position that will guarantee they succeed you incase you are nolonger there. It should be a merit-based that almost guarantee the talented people work in harmony.

Hope he understands that pos contradicts what I watch him promote on YouTube.
1413  Other / Off-topic / Re: AI in Customer Service: Conversational A.I Talkbots on: August 06, 2021, 02:58:28 PM
While reading I was wondering how the customers will feel if they notice they weren't speaking to humans but robots. I guess it's better to let them know before/after the conversation that it's a robot speaking.

Should be possible to distinguish between human and robot conversion else we will be facing a situation where people or bots/AI would use many other bots/ai online to pretend to be humans and cheat
1414  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Phenomenal Bitcoin In The Current Generation on: August 06, 2021, 10:35:13 AM
But what about the condition of bitcoin in 5 or 6 years, considering that there are so many coins that are starting to appear, are they able to maintain their position and so is the value of buying/selling bitcoin?

"Interesting for us to discuss this".

Will go for a cryptocurrency that is more decentralized and safer than Bitcoin. And I will certainly pay attention to the kind of developers that handle the cryptocurrency. It's actually a really bad idea to use a less decentralized cryptocurrency if you understand what is coming. Better to just stick to fiat currency.
So, consider the ideals(like decentralization, transparency, immutablity censorship resistant, etc) first before investing. Always remember the purpose of cryptocurrency or atleast know why Bitcoin was created by satoshi, so you don't take big risk in Crypto space
1415  Economy / Economics / Re: Is money the root of all evil as the poor to thinks? on: August 06, 2021, 09:55:20 AM
It's actually the "Love of Money" that is the root of all evil. I forgot to correct you on that.
If it makes you happy, you will love it and desire it more.. . More like being addicted to something that makes you happy, which could make you go to any length to have more of it.

For the love of money is a root of all
kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
-  1 Timothy 6:10

People should remember it's Love of Money is the root of all evil. That makes sense because loving money or being too attached to it can make you do all sort of immoral things to keep acquiring more.
The irony of blaming this on the poor is that they (lots of the poor) seems to work harder than rich and are paid little (or they charge little) for their services.
1416  Economy / Economics / Re: Enjoy comunism (II): Venezuela to cut 6 zeros from its currency on: August 06, 2021, 09:30:19 AM
Things are designed for us to be productive. If you are not productive and solving very useful problems, then don't eat... If you eat without contributing anything, price will definitely rise because there will more demand (and less supply/production), and you are adding to the demand . Some think poor productivity can be solved by involving/enslaving robots to do the job for us... That can't happen without serious consequences.

So, we need to work really hard to produce more so that there will be enough to drive down prices of things and increase the value of our currencies.
1417  Other / Off-topic / Re: Anxiety goes depression on: August 06, 2021, 09:06:04 AM
Through my personal experience with having to deal with anxiety, it is very difficult to do simple everyday activities.

For example, thinking of death and worrying about the immediate or long-term future.

As for depression, the mental disruption has caused people them to end their life.

Feel guilt or worthless because of being in a hopeless state of mind.
Lucky that i have a loving family mate, from my parents and siblings and now that i have my own family , having a loving wife and kids .

if i have not them? maybe i also experience what you are trying to explain here but God is good for me.

The role of our family and close friends is very important so that when we experience depression we can recover quickly. Everyone must have their
own anxiety in living life, therefore humans cannot live alone. Humans are social creatures who need the help of others to be able to help them
through various kinds of difficulties and problems in life. So maintaining good relations with those closest to us is very important, because we need
them to take care of us.

People who suffer depression should also try to eat healthy. It's very important to avoid allowing evil things including bad foods into your body.    I have notice getting abit depressed back then after eating certain foods even though I have no reason to be depression. They make you feel confused and hopeless. It could also be in the food
1418  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Friendship breakup viral meme sold for $51,530 as NFT on: August 05, 2021, 05:55:56 PM
Interesting.
So this means the picture no longer belongs to the original creator/owner? I notice on the article that "Charlie bit my finger" sold for close to 1 million.  Wonder what the buyers intend to do with such images/videos , make money from them or just to own them.. .
1419  Economy / Economics / Re: EU wants to ban crypto anonymous transactions and wallets on: August 05, 2021, 04:29:02 PM
I don't see anything wrong in using money/crypto without revealing your name. Part of the problem is that they made the word Anonymous look bad and foreign whereas humans have be transacting anonymously for thousands of years. It's actually going very risky to have people transact with their names on the internet.
I recommended the use of safe Anonymity instead ... with that, anyone can choose to reveal their name to who they find trustworthy.
1420  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What amenities will you have in your citadel? on: August 05, 2021, 03:28:34 PM
I will probably depend on nature when the time comes. Will try to avoid relying on heavy stationary man-made defenses and amenities. I doubt I'll be able to escape to space... there will be too many responsibilities on earth for me by then. Besides, those escaping to space will eventually be brought down to earth, so I don't think I will stay there too long if ever I have the chance to escape
