2381  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Is BTC mining difficulty at ATH? on: October 11, 2022, 12:39:13 PM
So, my question is, given the electricity costs and the current revenue in the field - do you still think that it's worth mining BTC or would you shift your efforts toward another coin?

It's pretty normal if we always see new ATH on difficulty since before until now it keeps increasing which means we are growing.

About the revenue or profit then it all depends on the Electricity rate if you have pretty cheap electricity then it would make you a profit plus if you hold it and believe that the price of bitcoin will skyrocket then you will make more profit.

You can also switch to other coins to mine but I don't see any coins profitable these days.
2382  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon A851 software on: October 11, 2022, 12:28:02 PM
Thank you so much for the help. The 851 is on its way. I am going to be using it in the shop to keep it above freezing temp this winter to. I already had a 3b+ good to know it won't work and get frustrated. The auc 3 converter runs around 30$ from US does that sound right? There are many on ebay from china but I get tired of expecting it to be here in 2 weeks and it takes 3 months or never shows. Any way again thank you for the help on my endeavor.

Why not try to find someone near you who has raspi 3 and swap it with your 3b+? You can maybe find someone in your area(I'm just suggesting if you don't want to spend).
$30 for AUC3 is pretty expensive Zeusbtc is selling this for around $6 but the problem is minimum order must be 10.
However, you can try to contact them maybe they will give an exemption. Here's the link https://www.zeusbtc.com/ASIC-Miner-Repair/Parts-Tools-Details.asp?ID=303

I think I found it to whoever this may help in the future. This looks like its for all the downloads. If someone knows where to pin this for someone else that would be great. Nothing came up for a search for me on the forum.

https://download.canaan-creative.com/

No, you don't need to pin it because it's already on the Canaan support page under the firmware page.
2383  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: T17+ doesn`t start mining! on: October 10, 2022, 11:44:46 PM
According to the logs pointed by mickeywith, it shows a short circuit it could be PSU but it's pointed to chain #3.
Would you mind to try remove the hashboard the one with short circuit?
It might solve your case but only two hashboard will work.
2384  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon A851 software on: October 10, 2022, 11:28:32 PM
The $50 is still a pretty good deal for this unit not profitable if you don't have a free power source but since your purpose is to solo mine then I think you can remove the other hashboard to reduce power and you can play with the ssh command or through API.

If you are looking for commands for this unit you can find it here below
- https://github.com/Canaan-Creative/avalon8-docs/wiki/AvalonMiner-8-development

About running the miner without tools I can't seem to find someone successful running it without raspi and au3.

Check the guide here if you need a guide https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5044027.0
2385  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: T17+ doesn`t start mining! on: October 10, 2022, 09:22:27 PM
You might be downloaded the wrong image for the sd card flashing you can download it on bitmains download page on the drop-down list under other>flashing sd card image.

If you can't flash it back to stock firmware then bring this issue here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5412808.0 Smiley
2386  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [Tutorial] How To Mix bitcoin free on: October 10, 2022, 02:29:47 PM
It's not that hard to download and install the Tor browser, but if that is not available you can always open the same onion link with Brave browser (fork of Chromium browser).

How do you successfully access Chipmixer with Brave browser?

It seems it doesn't work for me I tried accessing the TOR links but this is the result.

Is there a need to change the Brave settings or something to make the .onion links accessible?
2387  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [Tutorial] How To Mix bitcoin free on: October 10, 2022, 12:00:59 AM
interesting tutorial . but when i access the link you provided, i get a warning like that. i already use DNS 1.1.1.1 for the private connection that the website asks for. so i don't continue.

Like other said it's TOR link you can't just simply access it with normal browser you nedd to use TOR browser to access it but if you don't want to install TOR browser then you can access it with normal browser by adding .ws at the end of TOR url. I don't know if it is safe to use onion.ws but I hope someone can clear this here.

so, in this case, what can official do?. are they report it?
how to make a scammer don't create a similar one?
can we report google to court

Like the other said reporting them will do nothing and if you report it to Google what they can do only is to remove it on their SERP and nothing else.

If you want to report them then check the domain whois if where it was hosted and try to take them down by contacting them.
Or you can report it to US-CERT and Anti-Phishing Working Group (APWG).
2388  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Purchase of ASICs in the Current Market on: October 09, 2022, 10:46:44 PM
Be careful on buying ASIC units on unknown sites like the post above they are not verified distrubutor.
If you want to buy ASIC units without worrying about scammers always buy directly on the manufacturers or verified distributor.

CANAAN right now is the only manufacturer selling very cheap units you can check it here https://shop.canaan.io/

Also check the Bitmain here https://shop.canaan.io/
2389  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: avalon 1166 pro 81th not hashing on: October 09, 2022, 10:33:10 PM
I located IP and did the aging, with success as the result with the fms app, and still same log and errors no hashing, thinking i need to replace board with a 1166 but no one is USA is selling them it appears

avalon buddy says everything is failed so i think control board? or is whole unit toast?

Pool or Network Fail Idle;Pool Fail;Power Supply Pout Fail;Air Temperature Or Senser Fail;Fan Fail[Fan:1,2,3,4];Hash Chip Fail[Hash:0,1,2]
10.0.0.95   IP Fail

Why not look for repair center near in your location?
There is a list of repair center on zeusbtc you can check it the link below
- https://www.zeusbtc.com/ASIC-Miner-Repair/

Or if you want to totally replace the control board why not try to look on ebay I search and it seems there are some sellers there.
2390  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: avalon 1166 pro 81th not hashing on: October 08, 2022, 11:37:11 PM
I don't know if replacing the control board with a different unit model is compatible. So I'm not sure if the logs are right after you switch to the 1246 control board.

About the FMS tool, there is another version of this tool that has an aging button you need to download it again here https://canaan.io/service/447 make sure to download the FMS app or tool the 2nd or the 3rd one has an aging button near diagnose button.
Some people solve their case by using the aging button it is just a calibration and let's hope that it will work if not try to run the miner with one hash board test them one by one and let's see if maybe one of the hashboard has a short circuit that leads to other components not work properly. Remove it once you find the culprit.
2391  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Electric rates - Fixed versus unlimited on: October 08, 2022, 11:24:30 PM
The $ 119 unlimited plan is monthly and I inquired three times if it's $ 119 if I use 1000kw or 20000kw and they send there's no limit.

If there is no limit then it's a bit suspicious and I feel it's a scam company. If you know it's legit then it's a good offer but I'm curious about how they generate power and why they offer unlimited power without minimum wattage or how many miners they are allowed to run at $119/month.

The fixed rate is a fair price and it is I think safe than the unlimited offer.
2392  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: S17 PRO- doesn`t start mining! on: October 08, 2022, 11:04:56 PM
Thanks for your advise, will try pastebin later.

What kind of log is most important for you to have, system log or kernel log?

Can it be dangerous to give away miner logs on the internet, if the logs reveals sensitive informations about the miner?

The miner worked with stock firmware and also first with braiins firmware. I change the place of the miner and this problem came.
It's better if you edit your whole thread and put the logs right now inside the code tag because it's not attractive to read if you have a messy thread.

About the system or kernel logs if you still using Braiins I think you need to post them both but if you already flash the unit to the stock/original firmware then kernel logs are enough to give information about what happens to your miner.
And take note sharing the logs is not dangerous except if it includes your Home IP address you must remove it or replace it with another IP.

So you mean it works on stock firmware and then you switch to Braiins it works on the first try but after you move it to another place it stops working?

Why not try it again with stock firmware to make sure it's working and to replace the corrupted program we can read the kernel logs much better than braiins.
You can switch it back to braiins once we know your miner is working and running fine with stock firmware.
2393  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: avalon 1166 pro 81th not hashing on: October 08, 2022, 10:39:32 PM
Would you mind checking if both fans are working and connected properly?

Also, try to flash the unit to the latest firmware. If it doesn't work then try to use FMS tools to calibrate the unit by using the "aging button". Let's see if there are changes in the logs.
2394  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: How many leading zeros did I have? on: October 07, 2022, 11:59:32 PM
Thanks for the answer.

Yes I'm solo mining. I just thought that by the achieved difficulty of the share there was a way to find out how many leading zeros the hash created had. Just out of curiosity.

Share difficulty setting is on auto and adjusts to 1 since it's not a powerful device  Cheesy
Still it sometimes happens that the share has a difficulty of 500/1 or apparently one time even 16 million.
So you mean that it's a chances of finding blocks the leading zeros might be " fail finding blocks"?
The chances of finding blocks on solo mining is pretty small that is why most of solo mining only mine for lottery.
If you have a big farm you have a big chance to find blocks to mine. The time or leading zeroes is depends in your hashrate and difficulty to find a valid block.

Here's the formula from wiki
Quote
time = difficulty * 2**32 / hashrate where 'difficulty' is the current cryptocurrency difficulty level of BTC difficulty network and 'hashrate' is the amount of hashes a miner finds per second.

2395  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Electric rates - Fixed versus unlimited on: October 07, 2022, 11:33:18 PM
Is the unlimited rate of $119 is a monthly basis?
If yes then you can save more compared to the fixed rate since you said it's $160/month?

The question is if the unlimited rate has a wattage limit? I mean how many miners you can able to run at $119 unlimited rates?

One s19/pro can consume around $160 every month for a $0.065 rate so if choose the unlimited rate you can save more but the problem is if your miner can run stable.

Both of them have pros and cons it's your choice if you know that your miner can run stable then choose unlimited but if not I guess fixed rate would be your last choice.
2396  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: S17 controlboard cannot find IP. on: October 07, 2022, 11:12:00 PM
Hello, I tried everything, but I have not been able to fix anything. The Chinese company where I buy them send me another 3 new ones, the ones that do not work I still have them here, I can send someone a free one, send me private if you are interested to see if you can fix it and inform me to do it.
Thanks

Are you sure that you successfully flash them?
I guess the control board is fully bricked what I think is that flash the control board through the serial port if you don't have a serial port cable you can jump them just make sure to jump them RX, tx, and gnd.

There is a full guide about this you can follow the guide from the link below.

I would like to suggest remove all hash boards and fans from the control board and test if you can find the IP. If not then your network might have conflict IP sometimes Bitmain send units with duplicate mac address if you can able to replace the mac address it might fix your issue.
2397  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Namibia Now Accepts Bitcoin As Payment on: October 07, 2022, 09:44:57 PM
I notice that there are many banks locally now accepting Bitcoin with free offers because here in my country they gradually developing and learning about Bitcoin.

It seems that almost all countries will accept Bitcoin Legally. Let's see if we can see some impact on the price this coming December.
2398  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: S17 PRO- doesn`t start mining! on: October 07, 2022, 09:31:06 PM
Your thread is a bit messy would you mind to insert all your logs inside a code tag you can find it while editing your post it looks like # button. Or next time use pastebin.com instead.

I'm not so familiar with braiinsOS logs would you mind switching it back to stock firmware?
Then post the kernel logs here.

You can follow the guide from this link below

2400  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: trading bots on: October 06, 2022, 11:27:35 PM
Trustpilot is not a good place to check if the site is legit or not.
It's always best to ask it here on the forum than to check reviews from sites like Trustpilot.

And no trading bot can make you rich overnight(get rich quick scheme) they are most likely scams.

How exactly did you find this website? If it's ads what keyword?
I tried a few keywords that include that site but I can't find any ads.
Does it seem you are trying to promote it here?

I check the backlinks and it has 200 backlinks according to Ahrefs it was spread to 60 domains with 200 links. So you might be found it there but the exact email you posted above is not listed on Ahrefs so how exactly did you find this site?

So that I can report it right away to Google ads if you found it as ads.
