241  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Big companies have started investing in bitcoin as a safe asset on: September 18, 2020, 02:05:41 AM
I wish they really know the the place they are entering because the best and worst case might happen. I know that inflation was a tough opponent but volatility is tougher I guess so i don't understand why such companies like that choose to gamble. I think much better if they invest it with gold.

Anyway, I'm still glad that more and more are trusting bitcoin Smiley. Maybe I'm just worrying that things might not flow smoothly that's why I'm acting like this. To cope withe the natural nature of crypto; they should not simply store it, they must learn to trade at least.
242  Economy / Speculation / Re: COVID-19 Vaccine Will Cause Bitcoin Crash on: September 17, 2020, 01:29:23 PM
Maybe a Yes or maybe a No. Well, I won't be surprised if btc and the rest of the alts drop significantly once the vaccine finally invented; you know, like the old setting before this pandemic happen. It's because people are now free to move again, they will now have the chance to focus on their usual means of earning (particularly going to work) and avoid such risky investment.

But you know what, it was a good deal after all. It's okay for me to come back to a slow market progress as long as we can finally eradicate the virus in return Smiley.
243  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Whyte vs Povetkin II on Nov 21 on: September 17, 2020, 08:56:18 AM
Wow! That's fast. I didn't expect that their rematch will happen this year as well. In their next match, I'm still rooting for Whyte. I mean, Povetkin clearly won the first one but Whyte dominated him until that one knockout punch came lol. But I'm confident that Whyte can still put a lot of pressure on him. I do believe that he can beat Povetkin this time. Maybe what he needs to improve is his jaw. Don't get me wrong, he got a hard chin but Povetkin got harder one Grin.
244  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Hello from a newbie on: September 17, 2020, 05:05:48 AM
Thanks again for the nice, informative welcome. I've had experience with mining. I had bought mining capacity there. It wasn't so productive.
Don't lose hope just yet Wink. This forum got a plenty info about mining. Here are the boards: 1) For btc: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=14.0 2) For alts: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=160.0. Good luck.

Just another simple reminder, do not create a thread if you feel that your question already existed before or very common. Learn to dig previous threads if necessary.
245  Other / Meta / Re: Đây có phải là một bug? on: September 17, 2020, 01:09:54 AM
Why would he do an extra effort if he is not into something in exchange? I don't think that's for us to know that he is a Vietnamese.
Maybe it just his own style or also a mannerism. Nontheless, it was unnecessary so he should received a warning regarding this even though it was not harmful for others.
Can't say it too, but the least that I can think is that he wanted some local Vietnamese to merit his post for changing the topic subject.  Huh
Nah, I don't think so. But if it really was his true reason then he need to stop it once and for all. It was ineffective Cheesy. How come that he will receive merits for doing that? See.
246  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How are you staying updated on: September 16, 2020, 01:50:40 PM
Sorry dude but the only source of defi news I know is this forum. I am currently joining other pages and gropus on social media sites but only few of them are discussing about this trending defi projects. Even the most active subreddit I joined do not discuss it and I don't know why actually. It seems that their interest are still into btc, eth and other famous coins. Is that a sign of being wise trader? Lol just kidding Grin.
247  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: September 16, 2020, 08:05:33 AM
But I don't think that they'll be able to do the same thing against Lakers.
Urgh! It's really frustrating to be honest. I thought Clippers will advance and able to see a Beverly vs James drama again. *sigh But props to Denver. They really did a great job. Coming back from a 1-3 once maybe considered lucky, but doing the same thing again was already beyond that. No luck, just pure hustle. Let us see if they can beat the All Star Team Grin.

But actually, I'm not doubting them anymore. They prove to us that they had the heart of a champion. They surely have the chance to beat Lakers and advance to The Finals.

. But now Bitcoin has gone a long way in enhancing; they came up with an idea and developed an application

Wait when did Bitcoin develop an application? And it gives a 50/50 w:l ratio? When did that happen?
I don't really know what OP is referring to. Maybe the app he is pertaining to are exchanges? Because if you deposit in there, you now have chances of earning and losing money (but it is not a 50/50 scenario tho). That's the closest think I could thino of. Hmm? Huh

Dude fix the link you shared. Not everyone are willing to copy and paste it in their search bar. Try to use hyperlink as well.
249  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency and money total cryptocurrency market Question on: September 15, 2020, 11:38:07 PM
You know what, that's very hard to give concrete answers because these millionaires/billionaires are too silent on how they're spending their money. Besides, that is not our business anymore Grin.

But aside from the luxurious things, most probably the majority of their money are used to expand their business or to improve their services so that more customers will stay with them. Thus, more profits in return.
250  Economy / Economics / Re: bitcoin dont pay our billls we need passive income on: September 15, 2020, 11:00:05 PM
Borrowing is not good for passive income unless you have land or capital so every month we will flow our passive income
No dude, I think you misunderstood what I said. What I mean is he can lend his money and earn small interests from its payment after the due date. I'm not saying that he will borrow to others.

[snip]
HODLING is less risky when compared to day trading, but it still involves a decent degree of risk and passive income on a regular basis through this method is difficult no matter how skilled you are in trading which is why I wouldn't suggest this method for passive income.
Then what OP can do now because even a simple hodling is not advisable to do? Remember, risks with regards to money investing are inevitable. The least we can do is to minimize it as much as we could. Since Hodling has a lesser risks then why don't he try it, right? Besides, it is not as complicated as other means of earning Smiley.
251  Economy / Economics / Re: bitcoin dont pay our billls we need passive income on: September 15, 2020, 03:39:49 PM
Pasive income? If you really want one then try lending or if you have a adquate starting capital then establish an aprtment and open it for rent. If you have a huge amount of land then establish a cemetery (I'm serious with this one), I can assure you that you will get a good income yearly.
So don't compare btc with them because they're different. Well, we can say that hodling can generate money passively but overall it requires skills and effort on trading.
btc is not good to pay our bills.,
I don't know you but I can actually pay my weekly prepaid load consumption using bitcoin Tongue.
252  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Police Raids and kids involving spider betting. on: September 15, 2020, 01:09:49 PM
[/b] Are we really that hard headed or just love spider betting?

Only few appreciates spider betting because like what you've mentioned, they are less entertaining compared to other games. So I think the first one really explains everything. Those people arrested are hard headed for real simply because they're aware of the things prohibited during lockdowns but still choose to continue. Yeah we might say that they are just doing it because it is the only way they find to earn amidst these hard times. HOWEVER, a law is a law. You break it, you face the consequences.

OP may I know the province where you are residing?
253  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin difficult to understand on: September 15, 2020, 09:54:59 AM
As a newbie in crypto, I will also feel that "what is this?" "How do people earn from this?"
Bitcoin is just another form of money, nothing else. You don't have to have deep technical knowledge in order to use bitcoin and earn Bitcoin. Bitcoin is pretty easy to use and earn and, at the same time, it is pretty hard to fully comprehend.
Yup! That's right. But actually, bitcoin supposed to become more of a currency than a stor of value. But anyway, that's not the point here so nevermind Grin.

Honestly, I think all of us need to familiarize btc's technicalities. Not whole aspects but at least the basics. Know the jargons, how the system work and simple do's and don'ts as well; so that you will minimize the risk of making bad decisions which sooner leads to losing and to avoid the traps of scammers too.
254  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are you still hodling that shitcoin? on: September 15, 2020, 08:04:51 AM
I got a lot of altcoins that have no price until now no prospects in sight and the result that altcoin is just a display in my ethereum wallet
i got altcoin it, from bounty
There's no harm and who knows a miracle might happen and they can gain value again.
There's no harm for you but there's no benefit as well Cheesy. Miracle? Sorry to say but chances for it to come for yout sh*tcoins is very low simply because they're sh*t. Large whales of such coin dumped it already and nothing will change unless they decided to re invest again.

You said that all of them are remembrance from your pasr experiences, right? Now I hope you are no longer collecting "remembrance" hahaha. I hope you now learned a lesson from it.
255  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Perfect Money safe to store big money or not ? on: September 15, 2020, 05:21:49 AM
Do not use a custodial wallet because you don't have the control over your funds there are issues where accounts are frozen in some custodial wallet and if your unlock get a scam custodial wallet you might actually lose it all.
You have a good point in there. Yeah! I agree that cold storages are safer than custodial wallets but it doesn't necessarily mean that the latter one is untrustworthy anymore. Actually, I'm using a custodial wallet right now for 4 yrs. already. Take note, I don't encounter money loss or any problems that seems sketchy until now. Plus I'm enjoying their perks and services so it's more fun to use Smiley. See? Such kind of wallets are not totally. What I'm only telling you is that you only need to pick the right wallet to feel safe.
256  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's your HODL and favorite project on: September 15, 2020, 03:10:29 AM
Did I leave anything?
Nice criteria in all fairness, but actually that's the usual thingd need to see first before investing in a project. But you know what, these things will be pointless if the project you choose did not create so much hype. So try to put in your considerations the influence that coin generated. Pick the trending and most discussed as much as possible.

But in order to be safe, choose old coins and you're good to go. That's why I agree that you also choose ltc, chainlink and btc Smiley.
257  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I am new in forum on: September 14, 2020, 12:53:15 PM
However, it is not true that all posts or threads in Off-topic are zero- or low-value, it depends. If the board is useless, it has not been there.
Don't get me wrong, I actually agree to you with regards to the significance of Off Topic here in our forum. What I'm pointing is, as a newbie, they should not give all their attention on that board. Because what I noticed recently is that many newbies come there for the purpose of increasing their activities which is all wrong. Yeah! You can go there sometimes for winding up once you feel exhausted with tons of crypto related topics. But remember that the majority of our focus should be in more productive discussions rather than threads like "does colleger really worth it?" etc Smiley.
258  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I am new in forum on: September 14, 2020, 06:57:08 AM
Good day and welcome to our forum I hope you already visited the pinned post on our thread on beginners and help also you can visit the meta too for about the forum.
Indeed. You will not get lost here OP as long as you know how to read. Every board has their own pinned posts above. Read all of it and you will have a clue on what you want to do next. Also, don't make a new thread for generic questions as much as possible, it annoys many members especially the high ranked ones Wink.

Another advice I can share with you is to avoid Off Topic. It's not because it is a bad board or whatsoever. You came here to learn about crypto, right? Then deal with boards with related to it. Do not make most of your activities out of off topic discussions. Anyway, welcome to our forum. Have a nice journey.
259  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 3 Ways to Hack Bitcoin on: September 14, 2020, 04:12:27 AM
In the world of crypto it is not new the 3 ways to hack crypto mentioned in the opening post, most of the people already know about it.
Dude you can actually disregard the last one since it is theoretically impossible Grin. C'mon! In order to pull off a 51% attack you need firt need to acquire very huge mining power up to extent that you can now compete with rest of miners in the world. Even though I do not give you the exact numbers you will still realize how small the probability.

Just keep your private keys safe, stop clicking random links and filling up various forms online so that you will become less prone from such incidents.
260  Economy / Economics / Re: Famine is coming next ... on: September 14, 2020, 03:26:05 AM
Not everyone on first world countries are invulnerable from famine. Not everyone is rich. Well if you haven't seen any signs of famine right now, you probably is at place that has good economy.

Nah, I don't think so. Actually, I am living here in the province and not yet experiencing famine. However, our country's national debt continue to bloat. It doesn't mean you have a strong and sustainable economy just because you are not experiencing famine. We are. What I only think is happening is that people here only knows how to live even without any form of luxurious stuff. We can live even without going to malls and fancy restaurants,  not ordering expensive foods because fish and vegies were already enough. In short, we are able to survive because we are contented of having a simple life compared to urban areas Smiley.
