241  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If we lose in gambling, what do we need to do? on: March 14, 2024, 09:24:57 PM
The fun will increase if it is accompanied by a win especially where there are very lucky days with a winning streak, isn't this often experienced by gamblers? Sometimes like to smile at yourself with the victory. LOL
That's when chasing losses will lose more money especially without strict control.

In that moment of winning and then you loss the next one and immediately your face change, when you tried again and you had another loss, you kind of readjust and sit well and think maybe there is something you are not doing alright. If you wager again and try and win nothing, all your body system will change immediately and start to feel very uncomfortable. This is how gambling is and I wise one will stop playing for that particular after because you know you are about to lose all to casino.

Quote
I don't know that logic is difficult to solve in my head. haha I already know that I lose more but I still often play gambling but this has become a habit maybe but not a heavy addiction fortunately, I can still control the finances that are put into the casino so I think it's still safe.

If you can admit that you are addicted and you see no bid deal, then I think you are really addicted Cheesy if you sit down one day and calculate the amount of money you have wasted in a year trying to gamble, then you will understand why the casino repeatedly send you emails because they stop earning from you. Learn to control the addiction and play less, it will be healthier I think.
242  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: March 14, 2024, 09:13:37 PM

If Arsenal is able to beat Manchester City then Arsenal's chances of becoming champions of the English league will be even greater, but Liverpool also still has quite a chance and maybe they won't let Arsenal go that easily. The Manchester City vs Arsenal match will be decisive and who wins the match will be a little easier. Manchester City are stronger wherever they play not only at home and when they play away they are also quite difficult to beat.

The match still has several days to prepare and maybe Arteta can prepare the match in every possible way. Victory in the Champions League will be good capital for Arsenal so it will motivate players to achieve victory. Manchester City is not easy to beat and Arsenal will definitely be under great pressure when playing at Manchester City's home ground.

Manchester has played with other top teams in the Premier League of then and all draw, it's not going to be a hard work this time if they they draw or win this one. I will love to bet on this match with a win or draw and I'm sure that even bookmarkers are going to bet on Manchester City to win and big odd will be given to Arsenal to attract more players that will lose money to casino platform. Since the beginning of the season of the two games that has been played, Manchester City lost to the Arsenal, now is not going to be an exceptional when they meet.

The Champions League definitely wouldn't make Arsenal weak, it will make them stronger because I have never seen a twisted team like Porto, I'm not sure if they have face a similar team this season but they held them down until after all the time and remove them because they have experience in penalty. The way I'm looking at the end of this season, it's more like competition between Arsenal and Manchester City and if they slip off from City, then that's going to help them win this league without any suffering.

You're absolutely right someone can make a successful career in gambling, but not by making it as a priority,or rapping it round your neck there are some people who doesn't have any source of income all they do is to chose gambling as thier source of income thinking that they are making the right decision for themself.there are so many ways to make a successful career, you can make a successful career with the skills you acquire, gambling is not a skill that one can acquire instead is going to ruing your future.
Impossible man. no one can make a successful career on gambling in any way. because gambling is very risky and gambling is not able to bring any stable income for someone. so if someone says that he can make a successful career in gambling then he is definitely in a wrong circle. Gambling should be used only for fun if one wants to take it as a career then his future is bleak. Gambling can never make one's career. I don't believe in this concept

The fact that something is no working for everyone doesn't mean is not working for some people, though the general belief of people is that gambler cannot be use to make a successful career because of the inherent losses that is involved but there are people that has won money in gambling under their 4 years life as a gambler and I'm not sure that I will be able to make the same amount of money if I continue to follow my own career that is real job, we have people that it works for in reality.

It's just that if you take a sample of gamblers do some statistical analysis on them for people that has made money and fortune from gambling and people that has made nothing, you will get 990 people in 1000 total for people that gamble, that's to say only 10 people are only lucky people that made it and when you take percentage ratio, that's just 1% of successful people that made as a career in gambling. I don't think this is a good number for justifying a successful career in gambling.
244  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: March 14, 2024, 07:08:27 PM
Inter doesn't even look like the same team.
This is the worst I have seen Inter play all season, by a distance.
And Atletico looked fitter, hungrier, and were first to the ball all over the pitch. They took more initiative than Inter.
From the current UCL results, it can be said that the Premier League and La Liga are still better than Serie A.

It will be unfair to say that to intern, they disappointed everyone but do you think Atletico Madrid would have just let them win in their own home. From the beginning of 2024, Inter has never lost a match until they face Atletico Madrid and it's really unfortunate for the game to end like this but I still think the way inter put a lots of effort in that maych, it's a deserving match they needed.

They even had a good goalkeeper that is very good, he has had a lot of cleansheet more than when Onana went to  Champions League last season but perhaps they are not just lucky to win that match. However, the point they have gather this season is enough to win the Seria A trophy of this season. They deserved this and they can use it to make necessary preparation next time in the Champions League.
245  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: March 14, 2024, 06:46:38 PM
But City got Haaland. This is very close to realizing the ability to "get any player" since Haaland and Mbappe will not play on the same team. In fact, City got one of the 2 best strikers in the world, and Real couldn't do it because of the crazy finances that PSG gave Mbappe on a new contract.

I'm not sure that Pep Guardiola knew Haaland will be this good, man change everything for Manchester City in just under a year. The same vibe Bellingham brought Real Madrid so far, I wasn't too sure man will be that good as forward and midfield but Mbape became a god in PSG after boy won his first world cup and because the club was afraid to lose their little treasure, they increase the take home, that's what I think Manchester City will never do with Haaland, the success of the team doesn't depend on his presence but also we can't deny his input.

Quote
As for Mbappe's move to City, this will only be possible if Real buys Haaland.
This is already an unlikely option (since leaks say that Mbappe has already signed a contract with Real), but previously it was quite possible since the compensation for Haaland is comparable to the bonus for Mbappe.

If will be a big mistake for Real Madrid to hunt for Mbape all this while and then settle for Haaland. Pep has made comment on that the last time he was asked about his opinion if Real Madrid will want to buy Haaland and he just laugh it off that his boy is not going their. I think that Real Madrid has seal the deal of Mbape but because the season isn't there yet to end, we can't here Fabrizio right now but by the end of the season, things will become transparent.
246  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: March 13, 2024, 11:00:18 PM
I thought it's going to be an easy one for Inter, but I was very wrong.
We have 104th minute of the game and there's a big chance we're about to see another penalty shootout. If that happens, Atletico should have psychological advantage of playing at home + mental boost for scoring that goal just before the final whistle.
Judging by the statistics (I haven't been watching the game) Atletico was far more offensive, with 20 shots on goal (8 on target) Vs Inter's 11(5).
Not much left to go...

It was a fair fight in this match, Atletico defeated them in the penalty and Inter has been eliminated in the knockout stage after a 5 for Atletico Madrid and 5 for 4 for Inter. I didn't expect less from Atletico because tte are such a great team even in their domestic league even though Inter is ahead of everyone in the Seria A, they can't humiliate Atletico and expect to win them in Estadio but Inter didn't rest for a minute, they put a good fight in this match, they have the most ball possession but Atletico had more of good defending and average pressure on the attack in second half.

My problem with the team coming out of the knockout stage now is how they are going to continue after this stage. How is Atletico Madrid win Dortmund in their next match, it's going to be a heavy match that will be hard to predict, and the next is how Real Madrid are going to win the Manchester City, we also have Barcelona and Bayern and then Arsenal with Paris, these games are going to be superb.
247  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: March 13, 2024, 10:20:03 PM
It has been an entertaining match between Bournemouth and Luton Town. There has been many goals scored already, as the game is playing out a 3:3 draw. Luton Town are not really giving up in this relegation fight. It will be very good for them to walk out of this game with a draw, it will give them some chances of survival in the league. At this stage of this game I would like it to end in a draw, as the both team has tried holding this game to this point.

Luton town loss this one again but I must admit that one of the toughest team among the three teams we have in relegation is Luton town. These guys hardly play a match without scoring a goal, they have to even if they are going to lose that match and short on target is a complete task for them to complete. However, you see Burnley and Sheffield united, the are the laziest team so far in this tournament. I wish Luton town has draw this match, it would only bring them close to Nothingham forest so as to exit the relegation place, they have tried this season to end in that place.

If Nothingham continue to play in this form, they might even get relegated this season because last season, it was what Luton Town is playing right now, I mean the form they played to get out of the relegation zone, and if Luton could just improve small, they might just escape that stage and become the next Everton that doesn't go to top 4 and doesn't get relegate but this season was better if not for the 10 point deduction that later happened.
248  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: March 13, 2024, 10:05:40 PM
EPL is rough but the best results comes with exciting news. Pep Guardiola is not done with Manchester City, he will continue to build and raised the importance of the club to top levels. Liverpool key players will be pushing for exits door at the end of the season because Jurgen Klopp keen on leaving, we know how frustrated and upset the team and the fans are because they were hoping to see the coach and the players in coordination and also Klopp managing for long term and this suddenly happens, the news hits harder on different level.

I don't want to see what happen to Chelsea happen to Liverpool but Klopp exit is going to cause a lot of damage psychologically to the players, emotionally and even mentally because 9 years been in a club working energetically is something that you wouldn't see anywhere, even while on his last season with his club, man was doing well and has won them one trophy, if he should luckily win the Premier League, it will be more tense and emotionally the day he will be saying goodbye and I doubt if the players are going to be like the same ever again.

Pep is someone I don't think Manchester City will make any harsh decisions, I have noticed how teams retrace their contract on coaches anytime they win the Champions League, if Pep leave Manchester City today, even Manchester United will run after him because he just too good even though he has the best players right now. If he is able to do good players like, even if he get to another club, he will have a perfect eye to make another good selection because people always think he can't win matches without Haaland and KDB.
249  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do the juice Worth the squeeze? on: March 13, 2024, 09:45:49 PM
Hi,

As everyone knows the goal of betting is to get the largest amount of money , knowing that the risks do not change whether you bet a large or small amount, and sometimes the amount you bet with is your capital, and this drains you of your time and money, and perhaps your work and daily tasks.

Do you think that the benefits in gambling Worth the invest of your money and your time with knowing that your chances are Just 50/50?

I barely stays 3 hours a a day gambling because I'm occupied with life situation and other work and that's because everything I do in gambling isn't guaranteed, as the name says is gamble and I have other life situations that guarantees me money, not even just guarantee it's a must because I work and I must get paid for it. So I don't think the part where you say gambling worth the time is applicable for everyone, not everyone sleep in casino platforms.

I know of people that people that gamble for a living and they are living large, I have seen a guy whose is a university graduate make a retirement money from gambling and that change his life to date, he doesn't do any apart from gambling and he stake high and win high, such kind of people are what we called gifted with luck but because it happen to that guy and some few other people doesn't mean is going to happen to you, only few people make money from gambling, the rest lose to gambling platforms.
250  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When is best for a player to draw the line? on: March 13, 2024, 09:28:23 PM
Just for discussions and ways to educate or share knowledge with ourselves when and how to draw the line when gambling,  because for some reasons, some gamblers have arrived at unstable realities because of the lack of stoppage time while gambling so let's talk.
When do you stop?
Some stop gambling immediately the record a big lose, while others continues when they lose with hope of recovering.
Some other gamblers stop playing when the win they first few games, while other continue to chase the loses, and technically ww can tell in accuracy when this things happens, but when is the best time to stop gambling and take a break?

1-when you lose?
2- when you win?

I just think that in life, too much of everything is bad. There should be days when you don't have to do anything, don't gamble, take a rest and just be yourself. In the case of playing and knowing when to stop, I think your natural instinct should tell you that you have had enough of game for that day, if you have win a significant amount of money, you don't have business in over playing because one of the problem of over gambling is another r way to lose money in gambling.

As for the loss aspect, it's very critical. You can bets like many times and win nothing and when you try again perhaps the one you have on mind as the last one can help you recover your losses. If we are to follow a simple rule, make sure that you risk a little to gamble, so that when you lose, you don't have to think over it all the time. Loss is part of the process of winning money from gambling.
251  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What Application do you use to monitor crypto movements daily? on: March 11, 2024, 11:44:51 AM
Most times i Use browser and a website with charts, but sometimes its hard to find the tab.

What do you recommend for a linux user?

Are you familiar with Tradingview? That's one of the best platform that can provide you with good charts, tools and  indicators for following up crypto in real time. As long as that coin is listed and trading on any exchange, they do have any pairs it is been traded with and in addition, you get to do paper trading with Tradingview, more like demo but it's more flexible to used and offer more tools for mapping out your charts, support and resistance, trend lines, fibonaci and many more basic set up tools for trading, they also have the premium tools but I think you are good with the normal features.

You can also coingecko and coin market to follow up some coins since they are fundamentals of crypto projects, you should have access to some news, more about the coins especially the tokenomics, the exchanges and many more about the coin but there charts are too classic for trading, tradingview should help you out with those features.
252  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: WHO DOES CRYPTO DAY TRADING? on: March 11, 2024, 11:29:57 AM
I want to get into crypto day trading. It truly fascinates me. Out of curiosity, if anyone does day trading comment what crypto you made the most profit on in a 24 hour period. Please tell me what crypto and the total amount of profit you made. Thanks

People that engage in crypto trading are people that has time in their hands, people that are not too occupied with other extra affairs of life. If you think that you have enough time on you, then I advice you to consider trying it out but first of all, you need the knowledge else you will only be playing around with diffiren lower time frames without getting anything after spending the whole day sitting in front of your computer.

What you should also bear in mind is that when you open trade on daily basis, it doesn't mean that you will actually be making profits daily all the time. There are some trades you can open that might get invalidated but because it did not hit your stop loss, you have to give the trade more time before you get the profits for that particular order, not every day profit is guaranteed even with multiple opened trades; there are days bitcoin will go sideways and squeeze the market leaving alts with no profits.

Please use a protective glass for your eyes if you want to be a daily trader, it will help you protect your eyes from screen light. Constant eyes on computer or phone have it's own side effects in the long run.

As a student, I've saved up to $500 and am now looking for a means to get into trading. I understand that $500 is not a good starting point for some traders, but I want to use it throughout my learning process. The problem currently is that I don't even know where to begin when learning how to trade.

There is no other way out of this than learn and experience. You should visit Binance academy for learning the basic but don't depend on that alone. Put it together with YouTube trading channels and practice them, reading alone isn't enough to take you anywhere. Don't use your money yet, try and learn how to use demo accounts for trading else you will blow up that $500 before you even realize.

I'd appreciate it if you could provide me some helpful suggestions on where I should go to gain the expertise. I've seen several people professing to give good signals, and in the few months I've been here, I've learnt not to trust them because they could be scammers or don't know how to conduct decent analysis

Avoid signal groups for trades, you can follow them for ideas and how some of them expertise their charts but not a signal, your idea should give you confirmation of trade, the stop loss and when to exit every of your trades. Most signals are scams and wouldn't even tell you when they close some trades.
254  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it good or bad idea saving every penny on crypto stable coins on: March 10, 2024, 09:50:47 PM
Sometimes I begin to imagine instead of transferring my money into the bank to keep for a number of days or months before usage in form of savings that nothing will add up instead it remains stagnant or the bank charges me even more. Is it not better I save them on a stable coin such as the USDT?

Please what do you think? Will I end up losing my funds one day if I do so?
To me I feel it's good way to save.

Please what's your opinion on this?

The highest interest a bank is going to give you on a savings account will not be more than 4% in average, and your money will be invested into another company or given out as loan to other customers with high interest rate. As for USDT, if you stake your money, you have an annualized rate of investment at 7% maximum, and they used your money to do what they want, they can loan it to a venture capital to invest in other tokens, now with this do you really need banks and USDT? You don't because in the long run, the two of them are the same just operating under different uniforms.

If you don't have plans to invest your money, live if in your local bank and if it's going to be there on a long term levels, kindly invest it into Bitcoin or any other investments outside crypto. That's the only way you can see good use of your money after sometimes.
255  Economy / Economics / Re: Save money today so money would save you tomorrow. on: March 10, 2024, 09:42:01 PM
I wasn't really a saving type, but lately looking at the current situation of things in my country, how costly things have gotten, once money enters your account or wallet, you'll be suprised of how you won't be sure of how it vanished, not to talk of having a tangible reason of what you did with the money. So recently looking at how people cry for money and personally looking at how I needed money I decided to start splitting the little allowance I get, saving one part and using the other, I won’t really say that it has made me a billionaire or that I no longer lack money but at least I have cash somewhere that I could call my own and fall back to in cause of emergency.
To cut the story short, I’m advising mostly the young people of our generation to save, avoid unnecessary spendings and save even if it’s so little, cause you might find yourself in a situation tomorrow and you wouldn’t want to call home or ask for help, cause you have a second choice, that means you are literally getting yourself out of a problem. So please it’s not too late to stop spending on things that doesn’t really matter, so basically the money you saved today could literally save you tomorrow.

In the late 90s, that's the advice you hear from people that you should save for rainy days when things are bright for you, a time will come when some of the opportunities you have now might not surface again but today, they don't tell you to save as inflation has eaten up many countries currencies that used to be valuable. Today, you don't save money but you invest into something that can give you a meaningful return on your money, this money will give you help you in solving many things later.

I also think that despite these generation been the luckiest ones with many opportunities, they are the laziest because they want to have things easily, even when they do have the money, they spend the money on luxurious lifestyle that will only add zero to nothing into their life. They don't realize until those opportunities becomes the things of the past and they regret their whole life.
256  Economy / Economics / Re: When luxury becomes a necessity. on: March 10, 2024, 09:07:46 PM
I've purchased a Mac laptop that's way expensive than the average laptops I could easily get but because I needed what will work well for the kind of job I do, I had to buy it and I must say that the fulfillment out ways the negative thought of not to purchasing it.

That's one factor that lead me to always go for high quality and luxurious stuff after that moment.

Have you bought something that people feel is rather too expensive and that you could have purchased a lower version of it? What was your inexperience like after that?

Financial status and environment affect our ways of thinking. If you leave in New York and stay upto 2 years there, what you consider as luxurious life is what they called basic because the standard of living differences. An average house rent in New York can go for a $800 for a month but that's enough to cover you up in another place for half a year. If you stay in those kind of environment, you start to differentiate between the fake products and original products, you don't want to have anything to do with the fake ones but in other places, they don't mind and that's how standard of living differentiate us due to financial status.

Haven't you see where sneaker of Nike is sold for less than a $100 but if you ask for the original, you will see the price above $300? It's all about affordability and as long as the environment is concerned, we all can't purchase everything. If you think someone purchase and item and it's expensive, that's because they have the means and the money and when they go for cheaper, that's what they can afford but in the long run, one last more than the other.
257  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Wise to Cash Out 3.5 ETH For Debt Payments on: March 10, 2024, 08:46:56 PM
Right now the markets are rising in our favours. Too bad the worlds markets are in FIAT.
Right now i wish to pay off some credit card debts i have. All in FIAT of course and yes i know i will have to pay tax on the capital gains.
Would i be making an ok choice to sell off some ETH right now to CAD to pay some debt off. as where markets are im in the position.
just wondering on the tax i have to pay, would i be paying more tax then what i will be writing off in credit card debt? thanks

If your debt isn't due, then I will advice you to hold but just know that this is risk. It's a two way side thing but the upper is more likely to happen than the down side because Bull run hasn't happen yet, we are still in the phase of last run recovery. But if your debt is due and you feel disturb, kindly find a way and pay that loan and have peace of mind especially if there is interest rate that will come with it if you default your payment.

Capital gains are between +-30% at most of anything gain from the market. For every $100 you invested, you are likely to pay +-$30 to your government depending on where you from, so do you calculation if its going to favour you and the debt you have to pay.

A little suggestion, why not find an alternative to pay up the debt and free the 3.5 ETH, you should be financially capable to do that if you could raised this amount by yourself. This should be an investment.

I had an initial investment of 250 on Shib and now it's over 800. Should I sell and buy some other alt-coin or should I hold? Also what altcoin should I buy? Sorry for the stupid newbie post I'm just not optimistic about Shib since it's a poop coin haha.

Are you long term investor or short term investor or a person that buy and sell once he see profit? Shin is meme token that people love, you can't even advice the holders because they so much believe in it more than anything, so I will not advise you to sell it now, live it tmto grow more and then sell it when it has grown more, I learnt that alt season has not even started yet, who knows if that $800 is going to double or triple in couple of some months.

The way you source for $240 to buy shib, you should try another way to look for a means to get money and them invest into another coins that you believe will grow in value just the way you believed in Shiba. You are making investment and you will benefit strongly when the time is right for your investment but please be careful where you put money because altcoins are too risky to put money into.

If you had to invest 5x $1000 USD now, what would be your 5 coins (except ETH) to invest?

You made a wrong poll voting. You said you needed 5 altcoins to invest $1k each and you only make an option for just a single coin. You also didn't consider if the coin I have in mind is not among the options you listed up there? My simple advice, look into good coins among the 50 projects on market cap and you are good to go because they are nor safer than coins below 100 place in the market cap.

Here is my wish list of altcoins I will like to invest.
1. FTM: This coins was one of the best altcoins of their previous bull run but some how, the multi-chain bridge control by another team was hacked which led to investors to lost over $130m but the team are working with court to get back their lock coins and stable coins and with some new updates about the project and some airdrop.

2. SUI: This coin is a new altcoin that has not experienced bull run before and it has a solid team that are working tirelessly to improve scalability of the chain. Here are the rest of the coins I think you might need.

3. Near protocol.
4. Injective protocol.
5. Rune

Inter Milan will not let that happen, it will definitely maintain at least a draw for Inter Milan to qualify.
Who would have thought that Cadiz had a 1-0 lead in the first half even though in the second half it would reverse its situation, it would not be surprising anymore.

Back to the Champion League match I don't feel Atletico Madrid will qualify their chances at home are so great but I judge how from Inter Milan's current performance which is so consistent in the Champion League and Serie A, their minds will be distracted to stay focused on the champion league match.

If this was Atletico Madrid of January and early February, I can bet my balls they are going to give Inter some home training in the second leg but right now, their performance isn't something to write home about, very terrible for such team that was has credit score of whooping ass in any competition they find their self playing. If Cardiz could win them today, I'm not seeing what is stopping Inter in this second leg plus even though it's going to be an away game,

All away team that were draw in the round of 16 in Atletico Madrid side view of the table, they seems to be the only away team that will be eliminated, all other teams started away match and they won their first away match, only Atletico didn't make any and will be the one to lose again, even Bayern made it back but I'm not sure of these guys.
