2421  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Reasons why people avoid KYC in gambling casino ? on: July 01, 2022, 10:49:56 AM
I think that people avoid KYC in gambling casino just because they want to stay anonymous and doesn't want to let someone know that they gamble. Other reason could figure something like money laundering, or play with money earned with criminal methods. That's why is really important for a casino ask for a KYC, in this way they will protect they self from bad situation.

Or another reason could be laziness/procastination, or they probably don't trust the site. I remember the first time I was asked to KYC by an exchange, it was a trusted exchange and one of the oldest, but out of lack of trust, and a little laziness I didn't upload the requirements and my coins stayed in the exchange for 6 weeks. There's something about KYC that makes me feel nervous, and anxious.
2422  Economy / Economics / Re: Inflation will not fall to 2% target for two years, Fed's Mester says on: July 01, 2022, 10:36:11 AM
I believe it's true. Inflation might not fall to 2% in two years. Probably longer. Jerome Powell released a statement yesterday during an FOMC meeting and said that they ave started to understand that they now have no understanding about the current inflation.

If he had said this statement, it is a good step forward, as the lack of knowledge of the nature of inflation suggests that they will not continue with a single monetary policy, but that policies may change according to the variables, and therefore we may not witness more interest rate hikes in the coming months.

It's actually not. In the context of how he said it, I believe he was trying to give everyone the thought that the might not have no other choice but to let the economy go have a "hard landing", because in his words it was something like, "their options in how to fix inflation without causing a recession is narrowing".

Quote

Continuing to raise interest rates would be disastrous.

Ser, it's either raise the interest rate, or hyperinflation. Save the Dollar, or the economy? History has taught us that since 2008, the Fed always tightened after QE, and went to QE again.
2423  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: An alternative to gambling with money. on: June 30, 2022, 11:50:54 AM
In playing gambling without using real money is just for entertainment or the satisfaction of the player but most slot games are for this, if you will play with the demo mode you can only spin and after that is nothing no pressure just the knowledge itself. Playing with real money you will get excitement at the same time is fear and anxiety if you bet will win the game. If you are just playing for the fun most of the gambling casino have their free to play of slot using demo modes.

Hahaha. If you ask me, I get neither any satisfaction from demo mode, nor any entertainment from playing fake money. It's better to play freerolls and have the opportunity of winning some real money to use in the casino. Demo modes are implemented for the users to try the site's UI/UX, but playing them for satisfaction/entertainment is a waste of time for me.

2425  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dealing with ISP block on Gambling websites on: June 30, 2022, 08:50:38 AM
But please make sure in advance if the casino allows VPN use because some casinos don't and some allow it. Maybe for the terms of using a VPN, we must visit the casino site and log in with our real IP so that the casino can see the machine number on our device.
I rarely find casino sites that apply restrictions on the use of VPS and DNS, all terms and conditions are only limited based on the list of countries that are not allowed, all countries that are allowed can be accessed directly without VPN and DNS but it depends on the ISP of each country. So if you are an active gambler then it is better to subscribe to premium VPN and DNS to avoid suspicion while evaluating user data by casino site admins.

Maybe for unrestricted use of DNS but I don't know if it's a VPN because if someone can win a lot of money from various games, they can be asked to verify their account and the casino will ask about the VPN they are using. Somehow, the casino can tell if someone is using a VPN or is using their real IP. Therefore, it is better to be careful when using a VPN for gambling and make sure that the casino allows the use of a VPN. Even if we are not active gambler, it is better if we subscribe to a VPN to avoid tracking from hackers who want to know our location.

Or maybe before making your first deposit to a blocked casino by your ISP, why not tell the casino itself ahead of time that you will be using a VPN, and the reason WHY you're going to a VPN. I believe most of the online casinos in crypto are OK with it because privacy is more valued by the users in crypto than the no-coiners who play in fiat online casinos.
2426  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Roger ver got liquidated and owes like 47 million to CoinFLIX on: June 30, 2022, 08:39:19 AM

Roger Ver is one of those Bitcoin personalities who has destroyed his own reputation, and probably wasted his precious Bitcoins to invest in business/companies based on his forked-shitcoin Bitcoin Cash. It would have been his best move if he kept quiet and did nothing. He would probably be one of the biggest Bitcoin billionaires in crypto.

During the scaling debate, I believe Jihan Wu used him.

His reputation was already exploded when people got to know about his ebay fiasco  Cool
But this time, he's left with no reputation+probably no money either

https://www.reddit.com/r/Buttcoin/comments/vmvq8g/whistleblower_reveals_inside_look_at_coinflexs/

Was that about Roger Ver and his fireworks business before he became a popular Bitcoin personality? I believe that didn't give him a bad reputation as a Bitcoiner because no one cared about it. What destroyed it was his support of Jihan Wu and the Chinese Mining Cartel's "big block" hard fork.

PLUS, if he literally did NOTHING from an investment standpoint, his Bitcoin would all be in profit and he would have enough capital for himself, and his grandchildren's grandchildren. Has he really lost everything that he has defaulted on a leveraged trade in Bitcoin Cash?

Good for you mate! I’m sure the 5BTC wagered level will get additional benefits on the next update. I was surprised that you managed to farm wager in patient way. Do you just use the roulette and dice in daily basis then use the hourly, daily, weekly reward to recover losses on farming? I usually failed to do it consistently and always end up on playing blackjack to recover my loss while I’m always losing my capital.  Cheesy

How much profit you got so far on your 3 weeks journey?

I no longer play roulette because there is no auto bet now I prefer to play on Rocket dice and Plinko it's easier with auto bet.

I'm curious how large are the surges and declines from winning to losing, or from losing to winning within that three week period of auto-betting.

Quote

Yes that's right, I recover losses from hourly/daily/weekly rewards and at least I should finish in 5-6th place
Overall I still make a profit even if it's only a few mbtc not bad  Smiley

If I make $1.00 auto-bets for the same three week period as yours, how much profit would I have using the "farming method"? I believe you discovered something very nice there.

I will share you my trick. Download auto clicker for desktop and setup the pointer of the auto-clicker to the position of play and skip button since it’s same position. The only downside of this method is you can’t use your computer while running it. Been using this trick before but now I rarely gamble due to my personal business needs to be manage directly by me.

Roulette will give you less risk compared to dice and plinko while you can save a lot of balance and take more profit. Good luck!

Is using external software while playing allowed by Blackjack.fun?

Finally today I reached 5 BTC wagered  Smiley I did it in 3 weeks because I started actively betting since the last 3 weeks
Not as imagined when I thought it was so difficult but I hear discussion here how they use the best strategy and I follow it
Even today my wager is 900mbtc because I hunt daily contest , so how about you guys?

 Shocked

5 BTC wagered in just three weeks? That's very impressive, ser. We mere newbies would like to be taught how you do it. What games were you playing, how much do you bet per roll/game/pull, how large is the weekly cashback, and most importantly, what's your profit - loss ratio like? Plus how do you not become emotional during playing? That's the problem for me, I easily get angry at a loss of $50.00.

2430  Economy / Gambling / Re: Question for regular casino players. Will you use Lightning if available? on: June 29, 2022, 06:51:42 AM
I do not think implementing lighting is even a question. You just need to see that even if a limited number of users are willing to use it because it confers and advantage then is a question of using it to create an advantage to gather more users to use your site. From my user perspective, sure lighting is much welcome. The more alternatives the better for me.

Would you then be 100% sure to use the Lightning Network if it was available in your favorite casino? Because I'm starting to believe that more than 50% of the people who posted "yes" in the topic, won't actually use it once they learn that it will require an extra step to put Sats in your Lightning Wallet, and another extra step to convert them back to Bitcoin. If you use a custodial service/app like BlueWallet, you would need a third party service like, https://zigzag.io/
I have been hearing lightning network and I don't know how it was even to compare it with the casino gambling game I want to know the difference between this lightning network and bitcoin and the casino game does it mean that this lightning network is a very important to the extent that it consist on it home like a Bitcoin or it is a network that support the industry of Bitcoin procession I think I need more explanation

To understand all the advantages of the Lightning Network, you must, of course, try to use this network yourself.  This is not difficult.  By the way, after the legalization of bitcoins in El Salvador, the use of LN there has grown many times over.  Of course, at first it may seem difficult when you need to block a little Satoshi in the channel.  But then everything becomes easy.

Is that true? Because what is implemented by the El Salvadorian government is their Chivo Wallet app, which I believe to be a custodial wallet. The transactions made through the app are not Bitcoin transactions. They're mere IOUs that can be censored.

Quote

I support those casinos that will introduce such a form of payments as LN.  The more such casinos, the better.

It can become quite technical if you want to use it non-custodially. I will ask the Lightning experts how to use it without depending on a third party.
2431  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: PoW will eventually cause a Death Spiral in any coin dumb enough to keep it. on: June 28, 2022, 12:21:26 PM
They claim PoW tech is the greatest, and yet can't point to any new PoW coins since 2020
Because those who support PoW have no need of any other new, pointless, garbage, centralized shitcoins
(I am a Proud Bitcoin Cult Member, everything not BTC is Shit!!)
whose purpose is to just enrich developers and create new whales. You're going to need further persuasion to make a miner work for it. Unfortunately, we might not form the overwhelming majority. Most developers out there, with the slightest integrity, spend their time on developing apps to give solutions to notorious problems when an open-source libre software that has already resolved them efficiently exists.

Listen Kat,

If PoW Tech were superior , then the majority of new coins would be using it.

The fact that you guys , have failed to name even one new PoW since 2020 points to your failure to promote it as a consensus technology.

It's because it's VERY HARD to bootstrap a non-scam/non-shitcoin POW cryptocurrency network, which instead makes shitcoin "developers" print tokens out of thin air to bootstrap their "POS network". I'm not saying POW is perfect, or Bitcoin will never die, BUT it has been running for more than 10 years, chugging along without downtime. Bitcoin's life expectancy will be longer than expected. The Lindy Effect.

I have withdrawn amounts $50.00 to $100.00 from the site, and it has always indicated a different fee value in Bitcoin everytime. I believe the withdrawal fees depend on network congestion, and the size of the withdrawal.

The fees shouldn't depend on the size of the withdrawal but solely on the current network congestion and if the casino has to break up multiple UTXOs to send you your coins. But what is the minimum amount that the casino allows to be withdrawn in BTC? Neither you nor Eternad mentioned that. Don't they post the information somewhere on the withdrawal page/tab like almost all other casinos?

I'm sorry, I only assumed that it MIGHT also be the size of the withdrawal. I never said that it was definitely the case.

For the question, "What's the minimum?", this is only another assumption, but I believe it might be for as long as you can pay the withdrawal fee, your transaction will go through. But who will withdraw $1.00 of Bitcoin if his/her entire balance is $2.00 with a withdrawal fee of $1.00?

Everything might be clear in Version 3.0 with its UI/UX improvements.

@Pmalek will definitely get only an exact answer since he will write it down on his table for the casino withdrawal fee.

Is the UI/UX improvement is part of the major changes on version 3.0 aside from additional social features such as PM, tip and sharing achievements. I really like the current aesthetics because I can choose my preferred background and theme on the settings which only this casino have.

Which should be very easy for BlackJack.fun to fix. But after withdrawing $50.00 - $100.00 at a time, and I just remembered I also had a withdrawal of about $25.00, I'm confident the minimum withdrawal amount isn't very high, and that it's very easy for many people like me who are only "light users".

2434  Economy / Economics / Re: WHY ITS SO POSITIVE THIS BEARMARKET. on: June 28, 2022, 09:52:13 AM
What's very positive about this bear market is, the narrative isn't "Bitcoin is dead". The current narrative is, "how low will Bitcoin crash, so I can Buy the DIP, HODL".
I agree on this narrative. Before, wheneve we hit a bear market, there were those negativity spreader and they're telling that bitcoin was dead and it will never recover.

Because they truly ever understood the "Honey Badger", and what underlying value it's bringing to this world, and what it's real underlying nature is. We haven't seen the full power of Bitcoin's capabilities, which can break down political strongholds. The attacker and the defender would be required to HODL Bitcoin.

Quote

But this time, it's all about the craze and desire to buy at the dip so that they can buy some and collect as many as they can while we're seeing the dip of bitcoin.

They're learning, the HARD WAY. Cool

OP, it's also not only about "cleaning" the dumb money, in fact I wish it didn't happen because many people, especially newbies, lost their savings because of trading WITH TOO MUCH LEVERAGE.

Hi blackjack.fun,

I would like to know what is the minimum withdrawal amount in your casino and how much are you charging your players in withdrawal fees?
I would check this myself on your site, but the information isn't public, and players who don't have any funds in their accounts can't open the withdrawal page.

In my thread about Withdrawal Fees and Withdrawal Amounts on Crypto Casinos, BlackJack.Fun is mentioned as not having any minimum amounts. Apparently, that's no longer the case. If you take a look at the last couple of posts in the linked thread, you will see that a player attempted to withdraw 0.0001 BTC, but he/she received a message that the amount is too small.

I have withdrawn amounts $50.00 to $100.00 from the site, and it has always indicated a different fee value in Bitcoin everytime. I believe the withdrawal fees depend on network congestion, and the size of the withdrawal. But what I noticed is that the withdrawal fee will be a little higher than the average requirement, to ensure that your withdrawal is included in the next block.
2438  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: why can't bitcoin be based on something that has value? on: June 27, 2022, 09:01:06 AM

BUT to take the topic seriously, OP is asking the WRONG question. He didn't consider the actual history of Money, and how things without value, became items of value, https://nakamotoinstitute.org/shelling-out/

i'm actually a big fan of the history of money and one of my big ideas is if bitcoin could have a physical representation without needing verification digitally. so you could just hand a bitcoin to someone as a payment without any government or central entity backing. but that's a separate topic for another thread sometime. perhaps if you know so much about money and how it evolved over human history you could contribute to this idea of mine. we need to keep this thread on topic though...

It's actually not. You were debating if Bitcoin's "value" should be based on something backing it, "that has value". If you got the context why I was bringing up the history of money, it's because the properties that Bitcoin already has is in fact of value, with censorship-resistance as one of Bitcoin's main value propositions. But we also have to acknowledge that the true nature of Bitcoin might not be priced in yet, and it might be illustrated by a sanctioned-Russia.
2439  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin, I salute your final ATH. on: June 25, 2022, 10:50:02 AM
im no trader but to my untradered eye this chart appears to contain confirmations indicating there are more ticks before, in fact there are more than 6. The chance of double spend here is astronomically small.

You might trick newbies and scare them, but you will be remembered as the person who made them believe that Bitcoin will not surge to another ATH again, WHEN it's in actual ATH again. Keep trolling, and continue the swindle of making everyone believe that BCash SV is the real Bitcoin. Bitcoin will reach six digits, and you will keep posting that meme. It will be laughable.
2440  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: [Megathread] The long-known PoW vs. PoS debate on: June 25, 2022, 10:37:12 AM

Here's another shower thought. What if a developer builds, and bootstraps a new cryptocurrency network based on POS, and if you want to join the network as a validator, you can buy the tokens, BUT, only through Bitcoin.

Isn't this Merged mining Proof of Stake?

No, I didn't think of it that way, just simply if you want to participate in the hypothetical POS Network, you need Bitcoin and can ONLY use Bitcoin to receive the POS token.

Quote

Does that make the new POS cryptocurrency network backed by Bitcoin's POW?

It is definitely backed by bitcoin, and since bitcoin relies on PoW, it's indirectly backed by PoW. Not something "environmental evangelists" like LegendaryK are going to support of.

Bitcoin needs to be mined, to buy the POS token.  Cool

So... Why don't you buy bitcoin?

You can buy if you want to, but the context still is, all Bitcoins in existence are created into existence as block rewards received from mining.
