2221  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: I found a paper wallet on a beach ... seriously on: August 05, 2022, 05:28:10 AM
If you do not know the real owner, then you can not know the owner. The reason we should keep our private key or seed phrase safe in a safe location.

Or if you don't see the "real owner" anywhere and you hold the private jey of a wallet containing some Bitcoins, THEN YOU are the owner. Private key holder controls the wallet. Is it theft? It's not, it's a feature of self-custody in Bitcoin, which makes it a very powerful tool. No one controls your wealth, except you as the holder of the private key, not the government, not the banks, not ANYONE. You!

We have recently updated our Blackjack.Fun review after ~ two years when checking them out for the first time: https://www.btcgosu.com/review/blackjack-fun/

You guys are more then welcome to share your own reviews and rate Blackjack.Fun on our website! Smiley

Long story short: Some big improvements since we first took a look even though there are still some key features missing.

Blackjack.fun's new brightest, and most "shining" feature is the voting process for who the community believes is going to win the Hourly/Daily/Weekly Wagering Contests. Winning voters will receive up to 40 free spins maximum for the slot machine called Dig Dig Digger. You try it! Vote for our favorite whale called "RealWinner". He wins all those wagering contests regularly!

Done claiming my 30 free spin on top with my other goodies free spin for the day! Blackjack.fun now level up there giveaways to all players by providing this free spin without any wagering requirements. It will surely attract more new players to try and play in the casino.

I’m not lucky on Dig dig digger since it was the fixed game for the free spin. I hope you guys will have a good spin! Thank you very much Blackjack.fun team.  Kiss

Dig dig digger has low hit ratio and volatility which means it’s very hard to win huge amount using the free spin alone unless you are very lucky to hit the the bonus round multiple times in your free spin session. I like they increase the amount of spin per day because 5 spin per day on the previous contest is too short for a slot game to get any reward on spin.

The hourly vote is what makes this new voting system more interesting for user like us that don’t invest much on our bank roll to get good amount on wagering contest.

I had a "big win" only once with my free spins. It gave me maybe around $3.00 and a few cents.
2223  Economy / Gambling / Re: ⚡️⚡️Betplay.io - Lightning Network Casino - INSTANT & ZERO FEE Payments ⚡️⚡️ on: August 04, 2022, 10:38:53 AM
Finally I created an account here after seeing a Poker game  Smiley I also checked the list of slot game providers looks like it's complete

Some of my favorite providers are already available so let's see what else we can get here which we don't get in other casino

By the way betplay.io is not related to Betplay.com right?

I want to try poker for my next deposit. I believe that's the card game for me. I've been working hard to learn BlackJack, but I consistently never win. I was also using Coin_trader's strategy card matrix, but I still lose every time. Sometimes lose just a little amount during lunch break, and then I play again another time and lose the whole deposit! There's nothing to withdraw. Hahaha.

I should buy a Fengshui waving cat.

2224  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Papa John's store that made the Bitcoin pizzas in 2010 now has a plaque on: August 04, 2022, 05:26:16 AM
I believe after 100 years, Laszlo Hanyecz's "10,000 Bitcoin Pizza Moment" will be written in history books as something like Alexander Graham Bell's first telephone call made in March 10, 1876, or the Wright Brothers' first controlled flight in a "modern" aircraft in December 17, 1903. We are living under ANOTHER time of ANOTHER fundamental change in human society.

Haha you are very correct in pointing out that the mathematical expectation cannot be changed by Fenshui.

In my opinion, the most correct solution that will benefit the gambler is the study of game theory, mathematical expectation and probability theory. This will really help you to understand what are the chances of winning in this or that game.

Plus just have COMMON SENSE. In a time line long enough, if a player keeps playing, he/she can never win against the house which has a mathematical edge vs. him/her. He/she can position himself geographically in accordance to "Fengshui", still it cannot break the laws of mathematics for the player. There are no miracles, and there are no accidents in the physical universe.

I don't quite agree with you. In gambling, as in real life, there are accidents through which a person can get rich without knowing it, but it does not depend on his religion, faith and his choice since randomness is built into the casino algorithm.

You don't agree with Mathematical reality of the House Edge? As you have said, they are mere "accidents". In a long enouge time-line, the Math always prevails, and if the edge is consistently against you, you lose.

Quote

Someone can participate in the lottery his whole life, but did not get a lot, and someone can buy a ticket and get fabulously rich. That is what randomness is all about.

How many people out of billions have won the lottery if they buy tickets in their whole life? Where is the consistency in beating the lottery? If everyone uses Fengshui, will luck change the Mathematical Probability, and give you an edge over the lottery?
2226  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin *is* an inflation hedge in first place. Satoshi expressly made it so. on: August 03, 2022, 10:35:47 AM
Question.

Does bitcoin's status as an inflation protected asset conflict with it being an asset of speculation for hedge funds and investment banks?

No, because they are speculating on Bitcoin as a hedge, whether it be an inflation hedge, or a hedge against the possibility that a non-elected cabal might break the whole financial system with their flawed policies. HODLing Bitcoin is a bet, or an insurance policy against the legacy financial system.

Quote

Satoshi did an incredible job developing bitcoin. But I wonder if there were some conflicts of interest, which he himself did not anticipate. In which case, it is possible that there is room for improvement as far as BTC design and development go.

Can you give an example of, "conflicts of interest"?

If this belief gave good results then we would have seen completely different statistics from other countries on gambling in China where a very large number of people are committed to Feng Shui. But unfortunately there are also a lot of people who have become addicted to gambling and also a lot of people who are in debt because of gambling. So faith has no effect on good luck.

Actually it should be, "Faith has no effect on the MATH side of things". If we think about a player who believes in and uses Fengshui to "make him more lucky", and EVERYDAY he plays a casino game that has more than 3% edge against him, who does everyone believe will come out the winner after one year? I am very very sure the winner will be the casino, and the seller of Fengshui cat dolls. Cool

I believe I should have kept my mouth closed, and never should have told anyone about RocketDice. It was the absolute perfect "farming game" because the bets and the house edge can be adjusted by the player. Haha. Cool

But it would be unfair to Blackjack.fun if we take more from it by exploiting each and every advantage. They have been good to their players.

RocketDice is the 2nd choice for me this game is more suitable for the biggest win while for wagered is Plinko IMO
2 days ago this game was still counted but not for today seems the algorithm is constantly being updated
So what game are you playing right now to shoot for the biggest win?

I don't play for the biggest win. Plus I'm not much of a gambler to be honest. I only gamble with small amounts of the casino of the campaigns I join, and I have joined only three, so far. CryptoGames, BlackJack.fun and BetPlay. Or maybe there was another one that I can't remember.

I'm also playing Plinko right now. I agree, it IS the best for farming, especially 16 lines in low risk mode. Haha.

2230  Economy / Economics / Re: Singapore to unveil plans to becoming a Bitcoin hub on: August 02, 2022, 12:32:32 PM
I started a topic about Bitcoin and Singapore last year, https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5349202.0

Cool

Before a country attain the status quo of a Bitcoin city like El Salvador it means the have not just legalized bitcoin but also made it a legal tender and in the case of Singapore regulations will be their biggest limitations. Going by the statistics of Triple A only 12% sees Bitcoin as a monetary tool meaning the Hub Singapore intends to build will only favor investors and traders

I believe Singapore will definitely be a better "business hub" for Bitcoin than El Salvador. Singapore has a banking industry comparable to Switzerland, its government has almost zero corruption, and it would probably give tax cuts to encourage start-ups from the cryptocurrency industry.

Plus Bitcoin doesn't need to be legal tender for a country to have the whole industry enter their region.
2231  Economy / Gambling / Re: Blackjack.fun | 0.28% House edge | Live tables | Baccarat |Slots| InstantWithraw on: August 02, 2022, 12:16:46 PM

Yeah, the hourly voting contest add spice to the voting event of blackjack.fun. And also there’s already specific time that you can vote on daily winner which is a good update to avoid the late voters just to secured the vote win.

I notice too that french roulette doesn’t count anymore as wager volume, This is bad news for small time player like us that wants to farm slowly but surely.

RocketDice also doesn't count  Grin we only rely on in house game blackjack which is quite boring because it can't auto play

Oh yeah I saw you a few hours ago hit 2 bets which I think is a big bet 3mbtc and 6mbtc  Shocked I know that's not your style of play right?

I don't know what you're planning but I'm still wondering  Huh

I believe I should have kept my mouth closed, and never should have told anyone about RocketDice. It was the absolute perfect "farming game" because the bets and the house edge can be adjusted by the player. Haha. Cool

But it would be unfair to Blackjack.fun if we take more from it by exploiting each and every advantage. They have been good to their players.
2232  Economy / Gambling / Re: Question for regular casino players. Will you use Lightning if available? on: August 02, 2022, 10:21:29 AM
I want to ask again, and this time to the users. Will you use the Lightning Network if available? Or will you continue to use whichever altcoin you're currently using?
To be honest, I think I will just use Bitcoin or any altcoin that I think has cheap transaction fees. Lightning seems a bit technical (i tried learning about it but gave up midway)

I have been able to transfer Bitcoin as 1 sat/vbyte at most times, so I don't think lightning network would be a necessity to me

The inner-workings under the Lightning Network is technical, like Bitcoin, or like the altcoin you're going to use to replace Bitcoin, or the ATM machine for your cash cards, or also the POS for your credit cards. But you didn't need to understand what goes on technically to start using them, didn't you? We downloaded a Bitcoin wallet and started to receive and send Bitcoin. It can also be that simple with Lightning.

Sorry about the other day, I had an off day.

Admin just announced you have to have to vote in the next hour or so to lock in weekly free-spins(have a look at chat)
Inside info: I'm feeling very very confident I'll win the weekly

Update: hot of the press! hourly voting now also.

Hahaha. It's OK, RealWinner. We're only having fun "whale watching" in the casino, then talking about it here in the forum. Win, lose you will always have my vote! I believe you have enough wagered to win the Weekly Wagering Competition. I believe GOD won't play anymore. Cool

It's not only the Hourly Wagering Competition. Biggest Wins candidates also now can be voted.

2234  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How diversified are you with your investment, crypto aside? on: August 02, 2022, 07:38:44 AM
diversification in investment is something that is beneficial. this is to decrease the risks. however too many diversifications may also disturb your focus.

fo me, investing in crypto is a risky but profitable investment, moreover in Bitcoin. some altcoins are also owned like BNB, ETH, LTC, and some others. but not sure about the APY.

outside cry[to, investment in gold is one of the ways that I can reach, than in property because of the limited capital

Plus if plebs like us with very small capital truly want to make REAL MONEY, then we should NOT "diversify" like we control an amount of capital that has more than 7 figures in value. Buy the DIP, and HODL Bitcoin would be enough. It's still risky, but not as risky as gambling with 20x leverage.

OP, another advice I can give you is, put ALL your coins in cold storage. Temptations of selling will always be there in your mind especially during market crashes. The cold storage will help you fight that temptation. Cool
2235  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin *is* an inflation hedge in first place. Satoshi expressly made it so. on: August 01, 2022, 11:16:31 AM
Bitcoin is a hedge, but not a mere financial hedge. It's a back up/fall back against a non-elected cabal that makes/creates policies that expand and tighten the money supply, which truly is not sustainable. The fiat system will definitely collapse within itself. It can be debated that, "It would not be today", but my reply to that would be, "Better to be ready, and HODL Bitcoin".
2236  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How diversified are you with your investment, crypto aside? on: August 01, 2022, 08:37:40 AM
OP, there's starting to be no better opportunity to buy Bitcoin. Am I saying that it's the bottom of the current bear cycle? It might be. Am I 100% sure about this? No, but it probably is. What you can do is start making your Bitcoin purchases now, and buy every DIP. Unless a Black Swan event, Bitcoin should trade near the 200-week SMA for the coming weeks. If Black Swan event, big opportunity to deploy more of your savings. It's a risk and you shouldn't do it if you support a family/wife/kids.
2237  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Hash Ribbon Update - Capitulation Again? on: August 01, 2022, 08:25:26 AM
Interesting thread, only as haven't really seen anything quite like this before. At least not with a sort of price barometer in parallel.

Have to say though that last cycle didn't see miner capitulation that would have given much of indication about impending lows though did it? 2020 comes to mind.

But what it miner capitulation? There are some people who say it like miners will stop, and turn off their mining farms. There will be no such thing because if mining farm 1 was shut off, mining farm 2 will say "thank you" and celebrate, with  someone new building mining farm 3 because there's opportunity to arbitrage the "Bitcoin energy trade".
2238  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Hash Ribbon Update - Capitulation Again? on: August 01, 2022, 06:06:11 AM
Despite showing signs of recovering in recent days, hash rate has now continued to decline as miners continue to capitulate, despite price currently 9% above average mining cost of $21.8K.

While indicators such as Puell Multiple suggest a recovery of hash rate is underway or imminent, the hash rate itself suggests otherwise.

Miners are speculators too, and I believe also something like quasi-energy traders. There's probably an expectation of higher electrcity prices per kilowatt hour within the year and they might be, moving some of their mining gear to other locations/regions with cheaper electricity, or because they're also "quasi-energy traders", they are scaling down because the market is bad.
2239  Other / Archival / Re: Bitcoin is King on: August 01, 2022, 05:53:18 AM

Leaders change, depreciate, get stuck in terms of development and price growth, and only one asset remains unchanged. Bitcoin.

It's because it does just one thing, and it's doing it VERY WELL, as a decentralized, censorship-resistant cryptocurrency that can be used as a Store of Value and a Medium of Exchange. All those other blockchains with "many features" are a Rube Goldberg Machine, that overcomplicate solutions instead of simplifying them.

"Cryptocurrency Number 2" is the biggest Rube Goldberg Machine. Jimmy Song explained it in his blog, https://jimmysong.substack.com/p/ethereum-is-a-rube-goldberg-machine
2240  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy the DIP, and HODL! on: July 31, 2022, 09:53:09 AM
Everyone is starting their topics, either asking or TELLING, that the "bottom is in", but is it truly in? Should I also change the title of the topic to "Buy EVERY DIP, and HODL"? I was confident that after the FOMC's announcement, the answer would be "YES". These are good DIPs to buy, and buy we should, but wait for the next CPI print if you want another confirmation. If inflation is slowing down, BUY EVERY DIP, or simply, BUY. Cool
