Is there a leak in the lottery numbers? like in your country which uses an air mix lottery machine, can that be adjusted? I sometimes think that the lottery is a lot of cheating,
That's just a belief that's playing in every gambler and lottery bettor's mind.

is it possible from our luck? Thank you
A lottery is a luck-based gambling game and that's really what you're going to need to win there. But if it's possible to cheat, possible depending on the operator or if someone has found a bug in their system. We don't know for sure if someone finds one and he'll abuse it until the operators have noticed that someone's winning huge at most times.
2442  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do online casinos disadvantage some locations from winning big on: December 04, 2022, 10:02:48 PM
That's probably just a thought and we'll never know unless someone who works for a casino tells that they're doing it but for now, I think that they're not doing it.
But there's a sort of idea that whenever someone has been winning a lot, regardless of his location, there goes the algo that they might have detected it and they start to lessen the chance of winning. At least this is only for luck-based games and we all knew that it's not going to be a lucky day forever.
2443  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The goodness of long-term investing in cryptocurrency on: December 04, 2022, 02:26:14 PM
It should be specified with bitcoin first and then choose the altcoin you think is good for the long term. But, there are many choices that you and others can say. But for me, personally, my long term investment in altcoins are Ethereum and BNB. I'm trying to hold others too but they're like just the typical lottery type of altcoins so that's okay to lose with those. And for the main choice, as per my experience, it's none other than bitcoin. People will argue about it that there are other altcoins that are more profitable than it but still, the main topic is all about investing in crypto so, choose your crypto.
2444  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 03, 2022, 10:17:43 PM
Yeah, nothing much to do if it's the decision of the management and they're also struggling and aiming to get into the playoffs so they're trying to do their last resort of having an open spot to have someone that might help them get their way there.
The sacrificial lamb is Matt Ryan and that's it, he's the chosen one by them and hopefully the team that might take him later would be giving him the contract that he deserves like having no clause about waiving because it is going to be an absolute trauma if it does.
Matt has to grind it out for sometime and accept that fact that he has been waived, so not sure if he will be traumatized by that experience, but at least that could be an eye opening for him to really try very hard so that when a team pick him up, he has improved a lot and shouldn't be cut that easy.

But he has a memorable game with the Lakers hitting that corner 3 so I guess he can held his head high with that kind of performance.

Bucks vs Lakers game later. Let see if Lakers can pull a big upset here.
I think he has already accepted it, it was short notice and for sure that the disappointment on his face was there but has to embrace the reality that this is how being in the NBA goes on, as a business. It's not just an eye opener for him but also for the others that sympathizes his status of being waived, they'll now have the idea that it can be done to them unless there's no clause on their contracts that states that they can be waived whenever the team feels.
2445  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Imagine owning Bitcoin as an xmas gift on: December 03, 2022, 09:20:00 PM
I know how happy to receive gifts and especially if the gift you're about to receive is the one that you like. In your case, you like bitcoin and you anticipate someone's going to gift it to you. While in the other scenario, there are people receiving bitcoin that they don't even know what it is.
They've been just given it because they think that the receiver will like it and for the others, it's a way for them to be introduced to bitcoin. There might be situations that someone is able to give you that, who knows?  Grin
If no one did during the holidays, then just buy yourself and DCA.

It's short notice and really felt bad for him. But this is business, this is the other side of being not the mainstay of an NBA team, even the superstars are having a hard time having that secured contract with the teams that they're part of.
I just wish him that he'll get a better offer and another team that's good at taking care of their players. NBA is a business and whoever wants to have a secured spot and contracts with their team, they really have to stand up whenever they've been given a chance.

Yes, at least when he is with the Lakers, he has that kind of game that we can remember of it. And 10 minutes per night might not be good to show your skills in the NBA. Unfortunately, that is business, Lakers need to adjust as early as this day because they don't want to experience what they've going through last season, no adjustments whatsoever. Hopefully, the one that will replace Matt Ryan could contribute even more as Lakers are slowly finding their groove with Lebron back and healthy and then AD having MVP statistics and WB slowly settling down as 6th man.

Both of you OP doing a great job of spreading and sharing bitcoin with others. Just a little addition to that bond paper where you've written "we accept bitcoin".
I think it's better if you do what the others are putting in that sign which includes the logo of bitcoin. It's easier to be acknowledge when someone who's also a bitcoiner in your area sees that logo of bitcoin and that's an automatic response to their minds that they know you're accepting bitcoin as a payment.

What timing to me. There's this one family that I used to help at most times when I'm able but yesterday when I wasn't able to give them what they were asking, they treated me as if I'm the worst guy in the world. I don't understand why there are people who like them, they're grateful when we're helping them and that's common. But, whenever we're not able to give them some help because we're also dealing with our personal matters and lives, they're thinking badly of us. I'm good with helping grateful people but I guess there's a limitation on this, when they've asked you and you're not able to aid them and they're telling some bad words against you, that's off.

Too bad news and sad for Matt Ryan, he's going to be waived on December 15 to open a spot for another Lakers player to get in.
Source: Lakers News: Matt Ryan Being Waived To Open Up Roster Spot Ahead Of Dec. 15
It wasn't that long since he's been part of the Lakers, right? And now, he's being the option to be waived so that another one comes in that might take them to have better days. I don't like this decision on them.
He's a career 37.1% from 3PT line and in the current era where more people are shooting threes, that's a high percentage IMO.
Too bad that he doesn't been given enough minutes. He is only given 10.8 minutes per game on average and that's too low.

I thought that his buzzer beater three against the Pelicans will be his breakthrough and he will be given more minutes, but I guess I'm wrong. I just hope that another team will give him maybe a short-term contract just to try. He's a decent to good three-point shooter so teams who's focusing on threes more might get him... or not. For the Lakers, I just hope that they will get better player to replace him, or they will receive more criticisms aside from the ones that are facing right now.

2450  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do not believe every crypto news you read online on: December 01, 2022, 09:13:28 AM
Yes, it is dangerous to believe everything you hear. Because nowadays, every business uses media to its advantage. The majority of businesses use the media to spread false information in the market for their own benefit. As a result, believing in every piece of news is never a good strategy.
Do not believe in everything that you see not just in the news but also in social media and in other different media. Because it's a huge business and you see big article producers, they're paid a lot to hype something about a business or a company or a project that wants to advertise just the way they promote.

Instead, you should verify the authenticity of all news and opinions before making any decisions based on them.
That's the key, verify, verify and always verify! You're on your own and there's no other people that might correct you on some false news but only you by researching and finding out if there's a fault or lack of authenticity from the produced article/news.

I am trying to understand something about binance exchange and the other likes of it.

Binance exchange is a centralised exchange right? But they provide P2P, is it ok to say P2P is decentralized? If yes, doesn't that makes Binance 2 in 1, CEX and Dex? Because I use the P2P part more than the CEX part..

Endow me with knowledge this morning, tell me what I don't know.
P2P doesn't mean decentralized because it's a type of trade. You're just trading with other people and then you do the trade inside Binance, so, that means that you're still in the custody of the centralized platform - Binance.
Don't get confused about the feature and the type of trade because whether a platform is centralized or decentralized, they can have this feature for them to offer for their customers.

At this point, we shouldn't be taking talk seriously and we should be tired of just hearing and seeing more action rather than words.
Lightlord seems to have some limitations in terms of health may be due to old age but then whenever he is ready to take action it will be clear to all of us
And let's keep the thread more about the concerns related to bitvest rather than a comeback of its campaign. If he said it will be back, then he'll do it soon at his convenient time.
But if it's not yet there and there could be real-world problems that he's dealing with, that may take time, and just better to assume not that much because sometimes plans aren't really being followed when said. He said no exact date but just to tune in so, everyone just have to wait if that comeback is a big deal to you guys.
2454  Economy / Economics / Re: Investing against 2024 on: November 30, 2022, 07:57:40 PM
The fact that we will experience is that inflation will continue to occur, if we work in the office and get a monthly salary then do not ever expect it to be enough, do not ask for a raise because the company's condition is also difficult so that the possibility is reducing employees, investment is the best solution for Makes us can improve income.
Well, I've talked to a lot of folks that were telling me their salary to their main jobs wasn't enough and that's why they're looking for other side hustles just for them to sustain. It's like using the salary they receive for the main job to sustain their bills and other things while the money they make from side hustles is for the other important things that they need to spend because everything is getting up with the inflation. More layoffs have been seen in the tech industry and very likely that there will be a shortage of opportunities there if you're just like a normal person wanted to be employed by any of them. That's why if you're earning decently, don't spend it like a one-day millionaire but assure that you get investments and assets because they'll save you when you get older. I am talking about the right ones.
2455  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My Unconventional Betting Strategy on: November 30, 2022, 06:57:49 PM
That's good for you if it works together with your friend. IIRC, when I was younger I was with my cousin and we also have the same interest in betting and it also worked well.
But these days, when there's an involvement of finance and money, IMHO, it's better to get detached and avoid having that terms with your friends because that can really end your friendship quickly. But as I've said, if it's working perfectly to both of you then that's better.
By the way, how much share and deposit both of you started?
2456  Other / Off-topic / Re: lending money to people. on: November 30, 2022, 05:58:08 PM
I've lent to a lot of people and sadly, the majority of them didn't keep the words that they told me when they were asking me for money. Well, that's fine. I believe in karma and good things will come to me but with what they've done to me, the bad karma goes on them. Considering that someone is really in need of money, I'll only help if it's totally urgent and the situation is too hard to deal with. But at the same time, I've decided not to lend anymore, taking back and asking people to pay their borrowed money is a headache. And it's like if somebody asks me to borrow money like $100, I'll just give him $10 if I've got an extra but I won't let him get the whole amount so no attached feelings on it.

Yes, this is how I understood. I thought one who tops the leaderboard on that particular day will be the winner for the day.
There are still around 11 hrs and 30 mins left as of typing this. There's the countdown and by the time it ends then those that are on the leaderboards will be declared the winners.

It looks like, every day matches falls under the respective round. Each round's top predictor will be the winner for that round.
There's about less than half of the day until we'll see if you'll make it but who knows? Let's see who will be the top for this round.
2458  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 29, 2022, 09:18:17 PM
That's the same thought I've got, the help isn't enough since they're lackluster at the moment. Honestly, I like the roster of Mavs and I've been a fan of it since Nowitzki's days until another young caliber and likely to stay on them just as Dirk's stay which is through Luka.
Those teams that have too many superstars aren't showing what's expected of them to be shown. Tomorrow, it will be Mavs and Warriors and these two teams both aren't at the good spot at the moment.

This shows that superstars is not really necessary since it will just give them a huge problem in terms of chemistry that's why teams should look for players which can fit on the position since from this it will be beneficial for them knowing there are so many  players who aren't superstars which good team player. There's no ego hit since they are willing to pass the ball to anyone so I guess none of Brooklyn and Lakers will win a championship this season since they are kinda at low in standing at the moment. Tomorrow is exciting game for Warriors vs Mavs and let see what will happen since for sure fans will enjoy this.
I think they're still necessary per team and that's why a team should have at least 1 of them and having more than 2 is going to be a harder thing for them.
It's because we don't know the mindsets of these superstars and it's possible that they'll be playing competition against their own another teammate probably with another superstar if a team has more than 1. And that's not a good thing for a team, we've seen it for many teams and mostly it didn't work. I'm sure that the teams have been learning on this matter and they are having the thoughts already of instead of getting a superstar with a huge contract, they should stick to whatever they've got and train all of them including the bench players.
2459  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 29, 2022, 10:50:53 AM
As an individual player, he's a great one but we're playing basketball on a 5v5. Individually, we know his capacity but you're right that he needs to get some decent help from his teammates.
And with that help, they'll get a good results from the games that they'll play. The roster setup that they have could be enough for that and just needed a good rotation or starting 5 shuffle.
He has been getting help, unfortunately, in their last 4 games or so, those help are inconsistent, that is why they are in a losing skid.

Finney-Smith shooting from the side is not falling, same as with Dinwiddie, Powell and Bullock.

Jason Kidd also need to fit in Christian Wood as well, it seems that Wood is somewhat lost in the rotation of the Mavs and they have to take advantage of this big guy, to score inside and haul rebounds.
I feel like the "help" he gets is not enough at all, they really need a good star along with him. I am not saying it's a must, look at Giannis and how he won without another superstar level player with him, Kris Middleton was his biggest helper, and he is not a superstar, so a good all-around team could also work.

But, finding 5-6 players that will be great role players and a great coach to help that team is not easy, I am guessing that it will take time, instead they could just hire a player from free agency and just get a superstar, their salary situation should be fine, so I am guessing that getting one other star, someone that is a great 3/D player for example would be awesome. I guess it's not going to be simple, and it will require a lot of convincing b if it happens then it would be great for them.

2460  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is it possible to get bitcoins for free? on: November 29, 2022, 08:45:01 AM
As I said, I just found the whole thing hard to believe. From the comments on this thread I understand it's actually possible to earn bitcoins for free but it's not advisable. " A waste of time " as the first comment said
You're right though, it's only greed that can drive someone to look for free bitcoins
If you'll rely on those free bitcoin websites like faucets, you already have an idea of how they would go. You'll be mostly wasting your time with faucets and those captchas and whatsoever where they'll be giving a few satoshis. I've been there and done that, it's fun while it lasts but you may still try it but one thing for sure is that you'll be exerting effort to earn it. It's the same as earning from employment for which you have exerted effort working the whole day and you'll get paid for your time and effort. The same goes for earning with "free" bitcoin, there's an exchange for you to earn that. And another one is working with companies that will pay you in BTC, there are too many marketplaces where those jobs, positions and tasks are available.
