1441  Economy / Economics / Re: What's is daily budgets or expenses as a bitcoiner? on: July 08, 2023, 06:24:02 AM
Do daily budgets vary depending on whether you're a Bitcoiner or not?
Maybe for OP and for the others, it depends that the budget of a Bitcoiner is different from being not. In third-world countries, $10 is enough but being a breadwinner and having all the obligations goes to your shoulder that means that the budget should be bigger. While in first-world countries, it's more than that obviously and I think the factor of why the expenses of a Bitcoiner differs for some is because. It could have been separated from the cash expenditures and to the bitcoin base payments. Dunno.

2nd map was hard for Tundra and it was an almost win for Team Liquid. I thought that the game will be up to three but on the 2nd map, the Tundra was able to come back. A meepo mid and a broodmother carry and then a support visage did it all, 33's darkseer was also fat on this game.
That successful high ground defense from Tundra shifted the momentum and the networth lead that Team Liquid accumulated didn't matter anymore as their healing lineup started to fall off.
One mistake and all of the gold lead is gone. Tundra is always like this, always unpredictable. But having an incomplete roster as saksa isn't there, the plays made it even better. Team Liquid for sure have learned a lot from this match and if they're on the lead and they'll be able to end the game, they should have ended it as soon as possible but well, even if they want to if the defense on hg is through tough still they just can't. Experience wise, Tundra really knows well on situations like those.

I was so sure of Liquid victory today that I place two consecutive bets on them to win both maps and both of them were a loss. Now , I think Liquid drafted like that intentionally because they had a clear advantage in early-mid game and no advantage during the late them and that cost them both maps in the end.   Undecided

Then , I was hoping for Quest to win but as soon as I saw Ace with his Doom , I knew that GG was going to win in the end but Quest do have a very strong stream that might end up with playing semi-finals but only a victory will qualify them to TI.
Quest is no doubt strong but it's just that GG is stronger. The upper bracket final is just like a replay, GG and Tundra.

While it is true that many have changed their lives through investing in Bitcoin. I think it's a good determination but think of it that it's not an easy journey for you. Your teacher has given you the idea and that's a good one that has been shared with you. And as you work in the land of other people, you'll see your struggle as your inspiration for a better life. You're grabbing every opportunity that you can but do not forget that you should only invest what you afford to lose.

Another controversy Pure of BetBoom has got in. In the stream of their match against Tundra, it was seen that he was stream-sniping while the game was paused. It was known too that he got into controversy by drawing "Z" on the map. As they've won against Tundra, their won and place in the upper bracket have been forfeited and they're now in the lower bracket facing Azure Ray. And another drama was in, AR don't want to play with them unless they're banned. If no action taken, they'll just forfeit the game.

Pure needs to get sanctioned and not play for the rest of the tournament. I guess that's enough of a punishment for now, though Valve would really be the ultimate judge, jury, and executioner for this unsportsmanlike behavior from Pure. We saw them going so far as banning the player for life for much lesser offenses, although they have become more lenient in recent times so that I believe it will be a lesser sanction.
He's sanctioned already and just waiting for the official sanction that's gonna affect their direct invite to TI. Their manager has already spoken and complained that the sanction was too much for them.

Also, Azure Ray demanding a ban isn't really sportsmanlike too. The previous game does not concern them, and they still have time to prepare against BetBoom minus Pure so it's just them being too demanding for a ban when Tundra themselves don't see it like that.
They're just playing by the book, I'm not tolerating what they're up to but it's in the book and Pure's stream sniping is really a bannable offense. Anyway, both Azure Ray and BetBoom are eliminated.

Team Aster is also out. But with what happened to Pure, there is a potential reduction of their DPC points since it was said that it's per player points. If Quest ends up at least top 2 then they'll be the one to get in for the direct invite to TI but if not, then there's still a chance for Execration to swap position with BetBoom's last slot for the TI direct invite.
If they do receive a deduction in points, then they're fucked and have to go through the qualifiers. Top 2 is doable for Quest if they can beat Gaimin Gladiators today since they've already beaten Team Liquid before, but I hope we see Gaimin Gladiators and Team Liquid in the finals, as I need them for the BSFL.
That's true, there will be a potential deduction in their DPC points and that means that last slot if Quest reaches the top 2 then they'll replace them. But if Quest ends early and not reaching the top 2, by luck then it shall go with Execration. Speaking of Team Liquid, they're now in the lower bracket after being beaten by Tundra without saksa and subbed by their coach aui_2000. And funnily speaking, this match was supposed to be for BetBoom and not with Tundra.

They were already at the upper bracket and should have taken a rest today and be prepared for their tomorrow's match. But with that simple evidence that has been caught, everything has changed within less than 24 hours. They're already out of the Bali major and was eliminated by the Azure Ray and their secured slot for TI 12 has already been gone because there's only 1 slot left and their DPC point should have been enough if no issue has been made for today, but sadly it's all gone.
I was wondering who would be their substitute and i'm surprised that Resolution was there in the venue. Unfortunately, it's still not enough and I guess they're caught off guard as it all happened way too fast.
I saw reports that it should have been their coach but good thing that Reso was there and was on the caster's side. However, totally not enough and they've been beaten badly by the Azure Ray.

Now it's out of their reach and they have to root for 9Pandas to deny Team Aster the 300 DPC points they need. That final spot will depend on who wins today's last lower-bracket match currently, it's 1-1 after Team Aster failed to pull off the comeback in game 2.

Betboom certainly have caused ripples in the dota arena and had cemented a name for themselves in this tournament in Bali.
This certainty is in jeopardy for making an appearance at the next major tournament set up starting later this month.

Yea but it goes deeper than that it seems. Azure just announced that they won't play with BB as long as Pure is there and they already reported this to Valve because Epulze tried to convince them to let Pure play but that is simply against the rules because once you cheat ( no matter what cheat you used ) , you should be punished for a long period of time and you won't be able to compete in any official Valve competitions. Now , I'm curious what Valve will have to say about this incident and also what they will say about Epulze who tried to convince Azure Ray to let Pure play against them.

What a day in Dota 2 ...the drama will be big and I got my popcorn ready  Grin Grin
They haven't reported it to Valve yet. They'll only report it if Pure will play but I guess this is all settled now, Pure won't play against Azure Ray, and their coach, Boolk will play for him. So there's an adjustment that's gonna happen for them. Boolk will play as pos 5 and T.Tokyo will play as the offlane(pos 3). Another thing is that I'm not sure if it's for real that 33 used Spotify app while being in-game and with that, the team is punished with a level one draft penalty but that's not really a heavy punishment and I'm thinking of it just a meme when sneyking posted it.
Or there's another stand-in aside from Boolk and that's going to be resolution that will play as their pos 3 and T.Tokyo will remain as pos 5.

1450  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do 90% of Bettors Lose in Sports Betting in the Long-term? on: July 05, 2023, 08:08:13 PM
To beat the bookmakers, you need an EDGE, a strategic advantage that maximizes your chances of success.
Isn't it that the house always wins? And even if you've got that edge you're saying and a set of strategies to beat the house, you just can't. I mean you may do that temporarily and then get some wins but it's very simple if we're talking about sports betting.
You know the sports you're betting and you've got a plan already and checks out every single thing that's related to the match that you'll bet. That's how it goes and if those edges you've mentioned help you out in winning, that's good but most likely everyone has their own working strategy in terms of winning in sportsbetting.
1451  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will the USD loose it's kingship? Who will it loose it to? on: July 05, 2023, 06:43:18 PM
Yup, and that's what will actually happen if most of them have already dumped it and they're transitioning into using another currency that they think is better than USD at these times. This is also one of the worries of the US government for which they're making a lot of things relatively to their economic policies and as well as being too active with foreign allies and putting more money into it things that shouldn't be funded by them. I guess this is where it's really going because no one's gonna be on top forever.
The USA maintains their position very well since World War II but the world will continue to change and they can lost that position. The rising growth of China in both economic, geopolitics and their aggressive policies globally are dangerous for the USA position and their fiat currency US dollar.

Will we have a new fiat currency standard without another World War? Hopefully no such World War in future but the US dollar will lose that standard position if something very big happens over the world.
It's just a matter of time until that happens. Even Trump said that before and he's aware of the position of the US towards global economic standards. That's why tension is rising and we're seeing the impact and reaction that US does and even its people are telling that they should focus on their own and not on other countries' welfare. Well, those that they're stepping on have an impact to them economically and that's why they're trying to touch other nation's welfare and politics too.
1452  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Minimum Age to gamble on: July 05, 2023, 05:42:23 PM
Yeah those minors don't care about it, their curiosity are very high and they really want to get anything that they want. Usually the user need to click whether he's already 18 years old or not, maybe for the first time he would click no and it make them can't enter the site.
And that's why if they are below the right age, they will have to click and agree with everything the casino asks them.

Then they will learn to use VPN and when they get asked with a same question, they will click yes even though they're not 18 years old.
There are casinos that will usually detect that you've got unusual activity upon usage of a VPN. That's why be careful with that and make sure that you're allowed to use it or ask it first through their support if it's okay. The usage of VPN won't detect the age of the users and that's why whether you're at the right age or not, better ask.

The spike 3883217%

However, most of the time because of a shit (exchange) there is no so much liquidity on that coin (like shitcoin). Then, with just a few hundred bucks $ can easily change the % coin with really fast.

Nothing new for this one, just a shitcoin without liquidity. that's all.
I agree, usually those shitcoins that pumped that much don't have liquidity at all. And that means that you can't even sell and take that moment of selling it.
As much as you wanna sell, no taker is there as it's risky for the observers and traders that have noticed that pump. In other scenario that you're holding good tokens or altcoins, you have to take time at least when you've got spare time to check on how it is going. That's a norm even if you're just a long time holder just for you to check on what's happening and how much you've gained/loss on it.

Sad for Execration that they're the team that's close to having a direct TI invitation with the current DPC points that they have. But they lack of it because of how they ended up I think with 1-2 participation they have for the past majors. Whilst the only SEA team that got a direct invite is Talon, these three times that have got out early on Bali major are gonna have to do it hard to the qualifiers. And the sad news, is that there is only one slot left for SEA qualifier.
If they still had their former coach, they might've qualified through the DPC points and that one qualifier spot is good enough since i'd rather see a couple of SEA teams that perform well in TI than have more slots and waste them. Bleed Esports might be the team to take that final qualifier spot as they're almost similar to the old Fnatic squad.
What I have noticed with these SEA teams is that they're always having a hard time in early games. But still, somehow they manage to have a comeback and after they snowball, that's how they're taking the lead. I agree that it can be Bleed to take this spot but I'm not sure with their mid laner, he's still young and less in experience for which gives him unstable performances.

Also, this is what I got for the first playoff match later today, over 2.5 since both teams are good and I think Team Liquid being a favorite is a trap.

Oh yeah, no actions for this day but eventually it's just within a few hours away from this first playoff match between Team Liquid and PSG.LGD. Anyway, good luck to everyone's bet for these matches.
1455  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it wise to stake your crypto currency on: July 04, 2023, 02:00:28 PM
Everyone is different. Maybe adda who tends to stake to get more profit. But if I personally choose not to do it. I chose to buy then keep and hold it until the right time to sell the coin.
Buying and holding these assets we buy is the best thing to do. Yes, there's profit in staking but do you guys think that it's worth the risk if the risk is it could be gone for real? I'm telling this because many do like to stake in exchanges and there's no guarantee they'll get back those assets they've put into stake if problems exist with their service. While for some wallets that have that service, you still think of the risk if you can take that.

Group stages are now done and we've got some tiebreakers for the Bali major Dota 2. There is no longer a SEA representative that's going to continue for the playoffs and that's gonna happen on July 5 starting with the upper bracket then the loser's bracket next.
While some of these teams are already qualified for the TI, it's still a different experience by being serious on this major because there's still the DPC points that other teams should chase and at the same time the prize.
That's expected for the SEA teams since they've been consistently bombing out early aside from Talon who can put up good results on a good day.

I was reading on some of the reasons why the USD is king in the foreign exchange market and some of them are;
It is the most traded currency,
It is the foreign reserve currency of many countries etc...

My question is that with the way many powerful and influential countries are now dumping the USD, will it cause a significant reduced trading volume that will make the dollar no longer to be the most relevant currency in the foreign exchange market?
Yup, and that's what will actually happen if most of them have already dumped it and they're transitioning into using another currency that they think is better than USD at these times. If only for normal matches it is more difficult to determine who will win and there is still a big possibility that a team that is initially at the bottom and not too popular can become a winner but for big tournaments like TI then it is clear that only big teams who are strong and already popular will win.
We can predict which team will win the Dota match by looking at the heroes and items used by each team because both have an important role in a team winning the match.
But keep in mind that you must always be careful when analyzing matches.
Honestly, it is very easy to predict. We can predict any team for all of those matches but you'll never know if your predictions are good enough to get you some win if you don't analyze the teams you'll be betting on.
If it's just guessing and predicting, it's very easy, but to be able to have a really accurate prediction, it will be very difficult.
When in a Dota 2 match at a TI tournament we don't need to do an analysis when in a match a team that is already strong and has a top rank.
After all, so far when I have bet by only looking at the heroes used by the team, they can produce wins, so even if I predict with analysis but don't understand as a whole, it will still be the same, which is difficult to win.
Yes, it is what I am saying. And by just looking at teams before casting a bet, is the casino you're using allowing that? Because before the game starts, that's the only time that you're allowed to bet but CMIIW. Anyway, analysis is still needed by looking at the past games of these teams especially if they're in crucial situations like being out of the bracket or it's the main event, that's when you need to get more serious and check out some of their past games and how all of it went.
1460  Economy / Economics / Re: Rent or buy real estate - let's have a debate on: July 02, 2023, 11:33:54 PM
I think people wanted to have their own real estate property but the financial shortage keep them from owning such things.  If we own the property, we are free of any monthly expenditure except for the annual task which is way too cheap compared to the money spent for monthly renting.
Everybody wants to have their own real estate properties but it's true that because of financial constraints, that can happen easily to them. So those that own already are blessed to have it because they can now move on to their next strategy whatever the plan they've got or if they want to have as many properties as they have.

And if we want to move to another place, we can always sell the property and use it as a fund to buy a new property elsewhere.  So I always think that buying a real estate is way better than renting one since at the end of the day, when we decided to buy real estate, we end up with something that we can sell after wards while renting will only give us a house to stay.
This is only if the property that's about to get sold is in a good location. Sometimes it takes time for those properties to be sold if they're not in a good location so it's not that liquid for those owners if the property is located somewhere far and likely in rural areas.
