2161  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Anyone out there doing money by trading? How? on: January 04, 2023, 08:03:19 PM
if you can wait and sell it only when the prices are up then it is not trading, it is more investing.
If I am correct trading has certain short time frames. It could be a day or a few days. But not months and years.
Technically, that's still trading. If you search for the meaning of trading then that's still the same as what you've given as an example. And what you're saying about the short period of time trades, it is a type of trade. There goes the long-term type of trading which is also said to be investing and there goes what you are understanding which is short-term trading. As long as you buy and sell, there's the trade that happens, so by definition, that's trading.
2162  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you a lone Sports Bettor or a Team Sports Bettor? on: January 03, 2023, 10:46:35 PM
I'm not part of any group that dictates what they should bet on. I've got friends that have made it for themselves but they know each other, unlike those betting groups. It's like most of them are just like random folks on the web that has the same interest and that's betting.
I find that group not going to help me with my betting style and if I'll go into a group, I'll choose to join the group of my friends since all of us know each other and we're going to take care of each other's back and would have the same goal of at least having more chance of betting on a winning team and take the good odds.
2163  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Be careful with new projects that introduce new Stable coins on: January 03, 2023, 09:45:04 PM
Everyone has to be aware that anytime, any of these stable coins can go south and be the same as the other collapsed stable coins. That's all we have to remember. Whether they're centralized or decentralized, there's a likely that we don't really have an idea if any of them is already in danger and our money kept there will be gone forever. That's why, everything is of possibility and just be aware of what potentially can happen and that's the warning that everyone should take since we're in the crypto market.
2164  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anyone making a living from Crypto Sports betting? on: January 03, 2023, 10:49:45 AM
I've got a real-life friend who's not from this forum but also has cryptos and tried living day-to-day with crypto gambling. I've seen him first use stake.com.
But just like the mentioned casino, Duelbits is also known and a good place for those gamblers that plan to look for a casino to stay in. Just as the other reputable bookies these days, it's one of them that has become popular together with the others. Other than that, explore through the Gambling section and you'll get to see other options that you may want to examine.
2165  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Good idea If you want to end any war on: January 03, 2023, 09:20:08 AM
What a way to end the war, as if someone who's powerful as Putin will have to end it by just talking to someone who he might have talked to.
That's not how it works OP, you're taking it too soft where in fact that these matters can't be done by just one single talk.
It may look like a very good idea to you but when a country and a leader that's too hard to deal with, I don't think that idea of yours is going to be applicable to ending this war. We all want peace talks and negotiations but yours is utterly far from the process.

That's a crap idea. I wanted to ask the OP first, how do we know where Putin is going? The president's whereabouts are almost an absolute secret and not revealed to anyone. If we could easily determine his route of movement, perhaps the US and Ukrainian would have destroyed him long ago. And one more thing, I don't think he has to follow anyone's orders, he is the president of Russia and has full control over everything, including ordering a nuclear attack on Ukraine.
Well, he needs to spy on him and for sure that spy would likely be caught off if that's what he's planning to do. He could ask that boy who tracks Elon Musk's flight schedules and that boy might track Putin's whereabouts.
Kidding aside, it's very impossible to have this in execution. There are better ways of ending it and that's should be civilized talks and I hope that Russia would humble themselves down and will apologize for what they've done.
2166  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Manny Pacquiao vs. DK Yoo on: January 02, 2023, 11:11:45 AM
Whoever started this exhibition matches for the great retired boxers, it's really working on them and it's like a money making machine that everyone would like to pay a ticket just to watch them play the sport that they've loved even after their retirement.

Yes, these boxers think of a way to enjoy their favorite sports even out of retirement. It's just a matter now of who's boxer involved and who the opponent is as people will surely not just watch an exhibition match if the involved fighter is not that popular.

Nothing really wrong about that as they are not even forcing people to watch them.

If feel annoyed by these matches, simply just ignore those and move on.
As long as the boxers involved has a name, these exhibition matches will keep on going. As for Manny Pacquiao, he's still got a great name and a lot of fans, we can see how influential he is in many countries and that's why he's taken by this promoter.
What I can see here is that, whoever the opponent as long as it is him that will have a match, all of them will be sold out for the tickets.
That's how known Manny Pacquiao is and despite that he's no longer in the professional boxing, his contribution there is great and people have recognized him, so wherever he goes, the crowd goes there as well just to see him.
2167  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting Types Newbies Should know About on: January 02, 2023, 09:01:22 AM
The point spread and live betting are the most common.

So, these kind of issues can arise if one doesn't have proper knowledge.

Not at most cases. That's not even an issue to start with.

Even with apply analysis or not, our prediction is still not accurate or not.

Sports matches is unpredictable even how good we are in doing analysis.
Yup, even without determining the type of game you're betting and whether you're prepared or not. As long as you just deposit and bet with it, you're all good.
The casinos aren't really concerned with that matter because as long as their customers can deposit, can bet and that's it. No need to be technical with such whether you've got a lot of knowledge in sports betting or good or bad with predictions.

Before we close this thread though, I was surprised to read that Manny has signed the Japanese promoter Rizin,

Quote
Manny Pacquiao is taking his talents to Japan.

The 44-year-old boxing legend announced on Saturday that he’s inked a deal with Rizin to compete in the promotion in 2023 against an opponent still to be determined. Pacquiao appeared in the ring during the Rizin 40 card where he addressed the crowd at the Saitama Super Arena.

https://www.mmafighting.com/2022/12/31/23533315/manny-pacquiao-announces-he-signed-rizin-with-plans-to-fight-in-2023

So I guess there's no stopping Manny now for having this kind of exhibition fight this 2023.

And probably this is good, I mean he said that he is willing to face any of the current champion at 147 lbs in professional level, but we all know that he will be damage by either Spence or Crawford, so much better to stick with exhibition matches, just saying.
Well, the promoters have seen the potential that Manny can still have matches through exhibitions and that's going to make a lot of money that shall benefit both of them. Looking at how popular Manny is still, they can't ignore the fact that people would like to watch him as he retires.
Whoever started this exhibition matches for the great retired boxers, it's really working on them and it's like a money making machine that everyone would like to pay a ticket just to watch them play the sport that they've loved even after their retirement.
2170  Economy / Gambling / Re: Consider open live casino (street gambling games) on: January 01, 2023, 10:59:59 PM
It indeed carries a lot of risks, especially for the gambler who will win a large amount because we don't know the mental state of the people around the person playing in the middle of the street.

That's why people who are determined to do this, don't think about it anymore as long as they can play and win gambling even if we say that it has a permit from the local government that covers it.
Dude, that's for sure. You don't know what the people are thinking in the streets whether you belong there or not.
If it's about money, it's for sure that they're going to show the true them. People are struggling these days and barely make ends meet.
That's a sure trouble out there if someone hits the jackpot and it's exact that there are too many people around, beggar, bystanders or just passerbys.
It seems that very few professional gamblers who play in open-air casinos or street casinos come to gamble alone.
I'm sure they also have personal bodyguards to enter and play at the casino.
The casino itself, if it guarantees the safety and comfort of visitors, is only in the casino area and not outside the reach of the casino.

In my opinion, gambling or betting at online casinos and open casinos seems to have the same risk, the difference is only if in open casinos crimes can be committed directly by individuals, while in online casinos are the site managers themselves and hackers, so we still have to be careful wherever we gamble. nor bet.
The risk for both gamblings there is there, no matter what you think of the risks, they'll never change whether you gamble on land or online casinos.
But the difference with this type of gambling, is you're exposed to any person that might just come and attack you whenever you won even if it's not that much at all.
To think that they'll have bodyguards to protect the players and as well as the house itself while roaming on the streets, that's possible but you can't be against to a place of hood where they're more than you.
2171  Other / Off-topic / Re: What are your takes on revenge gambling? on: January 01, 2023, 05:10:20 PM
It always happens to someone when he can't control his emotion. Everyone who's losing a lot will do everything that they can to recover and chase the losses.
This topic has been there for years and is still not going to change the fact that many lives have really been affected by this type of attitude towards gambling.
If you're in losses today and you think that it will just worsen your day, stop and take your time because the worst might not yet come if you ever continue.
2172  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What are your thoughts on revenge trading? on: January 01, 2023, 03:24:58 PM
Trading is a game of money and emotions. That's why when someone is in a rage, he or she better get off the market because it's not going to do him any good. And that's for sure honestly because that will take all of his money because of what he's feeling emotional.
If you're having that feeling that you think that you should decide as soon as possible for you to make some, that's not going to do any good on your end.
Just trade with the right emotion so, you're aware of what you does.

As long as you live, you shouldn't give up and still keep the faith and hope that you'll be financially well.
Those scams that you've experienced before, it will be your weapon towards the next danger that you may face.
The same goes with those disappointments about the failed investments or trades that you've made.
Everything is a learning session until you finally learn the lesson and you're finally about to move to the next step of your life while experiencing the success of being well not just financially but also in other aspects of life.
2175  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Responsible gambling on: December 31, 2022, 02:52:23 PM
I agree, one should be responsible with their actions as they gamble. But, it's not a problem if someone relies on a third party feature from the casino itself or any third party software that helps them track their gambling activities and has the feature to minimize. For me, anything that helps a gambler to be more responsible whether they're real life attitude, application software or some individual people that may help us.

If there's something or someone from any third party that can help gamblers to control or minimize addiction which I also doubt though given that equal possibilities, it's still on the side of the gambler who needs to really aim in controlling everything, such help can give a push but the willingness is always depends from the person itself to move on and make some changes.

If you can find help, then allow that help and maximize everything to help yourself.
Yes, it's on the gambler and that's why if the third party that has that feature to help control their addiction or to lessen it then that's so much better than having no progress at all. You may doubt it as it may sound really impossible but if it's really working for some of the folks in here then there's no question for me. I agree on the latter, if there's a help and that's working for you as a gambler, responsible gambling or any type of service that maximizes the help from you, then you just keep using and goin' with it.
2176  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: SportsBetting portal launch Without money? on: December 31, 2022, 01:49:12 PM
The primary issue is to run the portal without upfront money.
This is what majority's concern right now, everyone is looking for platforms that has a secured fund to run the company, be it an exchange or a casino. Many are asking for proof of funds and if this is your primary concern to run the casino without having money to prove that you can pay winners, I doubt it that there will be those folks that are willing to risk their money and deposit it to your casino.

If someone wins a game, the admin must pay the amount to build the reputation.
Of course, you have to since you're the house and that's the usual transaction that happens from a casino when someone has won.
2177  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cashless Gambling, your thought? on: December 30, 2022, 10:02:31 PM
I think this type of rule has already been implemented in many gambling-friendly countries. It's not just to make the transactions quick and easy but also for their government to have all of those records accessible for their data and safekeeping.
There are pros and cons to this type of ruling for a local government and those that don't like it don't want to handle it too easily to the government that they've got a gambling record. Still, plenty of options for them, thanks to crypto gambling as there are still casinos that don't ask for kyc immediately.
I think it is just an alternative mode of payment and there's nothing more to it. Most of the transactions in the first place, and at the present are now made possible through online payments . But if you are avoiding taxes, crypto-based gambling casinos would be a better option.
That's one thing to be part of it, taxes. We all know that when a government supports something profitable, it's never gone about the taxes.
Even if someone avoids to pay taxes through his winnings in a casino through crypto, then he's still needed to pay taxes for his income gains through his crypto gain.
So, there's no escape on taxation if that's the concern of most gamblers that thinks that they have to worry about it.

Don't be too hyperactive filling up forms for airdrops and free stuff. The biggest tendency that you may be compromised will start through this activity.
You'll be surprised that you've been receiving unsolicited and spam emails is due to your signing on those online forms of free money/airdrops.
And the chain goes on, so going from the root, avoid doing this if you want to at least lessen those spam and potential hacking links from your email.
2179  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Responsible gambling on: December 30, 2022, 08:09:18 PM
If that works for you OP, keep going.

It is kinda hard to think that this will be implemented. Responsibility should be on our end we don't need third party features, actually I don't really think that casinos will implement that since they are all after the money, correct me if I am wrong but I don't see any casinos promotes anti addiction in gambling, so I think it is not possible though and there are other external reason that really can affect people not only casinos.
I agree, one should be responsible with their actions as they gamble. 2180  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: What happens if binance and tether goes down on: December 30, 2022, 07:06:39 PM
As for Tether, for sure that there will be a massive effect for bitcoin's price if ever something crazy goes off badly with it and that's why it's quite worrying but, the effect will just be temporary and then bitcoin will have its price stable again just like what it is right now. And the same goes for Binance, there could be the effect of it but it's not going to be big as what we're worrying about with it. We saw how FTX scenario has came and the market still continued to run so I guess, the whole market don't depend just on Binance or Tether or any other comparable company or cryptocurrencies.
