1641  Economy / Economics / Re: The Role of Education in Financial Literacy on: May 12, 2023, 09:23:09 PM
financial literacy "We control money, not money controls us".
This and it's the one that's working for us and we're not the one that works for it. When we achieve that moment that we're just investing here and there and gaining passive income from the money that we've worked hard for, that's the true meaning of being literate in finance.
You know how to spend and at the same time, you also know how to acquire money based on what you've learned from these literacy lectures that you've read, watched, or mentored to you. Another thing is that even if you've reached the peak of your life you don't need to work anymore and you're financially free, your feet stay on the ground.

Nuggets +2.5 at 1.95. Both bets are $50 each.
Good luck on this bet and I think you're going to win this bet as there will be no CP3 for the Suns for tomorrow's match. This could be it for the Nuggets and could be the last game for Suns if ever they lose.

This bet seems to be the easiest for OP tonight. They could have gone 2-2 if the 76ers didn't collapse in the 4th quarter. Currently, the Suns are in control with a 25-point lead. While the Suns may not necessarily let up, it's safe to say they won't be mounting a comeback in this game.

Congratulations in advance to the Nuggets on reaching the Western Conference Finals!
Congratulations to stadus and as well as the Denver Nuggets for advancing, that was really an easy bet. While the Nuggets are celebrating, there goes the blaming and flaming from the fans of the Suns on the web and they're disturbing Kevin Durant on this loss.
It's just hard to accept for them that their best team has lost this playoffs. Another team that has been dominating before this playoffs and then gets kicked off by a better team. I can remember the Jazz on them but that team has nowhere to be found now.  Undecided
1643  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't follow the trends, work with price actions on: May 12, 2023, 07:01:52 PM
Do you believe that price action is more essential than trends?
Yes, it's because that Bitcoin is volatile in nature and that's why these actions are gonna happen and essential. While trends, come occasionally.
For those that do day trades, they have to follow the trends and that's how they're making money from it. Jumping from one trade to another and that's making them realize that it is what they need and understand how it's staying for so long. Because they're all temporary, the timing and how long it last will also determine them when they should get out from it.

For Dota ...I'm waiting 15th so the next DPC Will begin again and I do hope GG will be nerfed by Valve in a way or another because it's really not funny to watch a single team to dominated like that. If they cannot nerf them , just disband them by buying 2 guys from them as we all know , big teams tends to do that just because of this reason. We have many examples in the past about this strategy.
Haha, it has to come that Valve should nerf GG but anyway, they really are a strong team now. But we've seen teams like this except Tundra that have been consistent with all majors and stuff and made their easy way to winning their own TI title. I wish that GG will also be like them because there have been teams that became lackluster in terms of TI performances and one of them was Team Secret in the past. Although they've made well on their last TI I was talking about the other season year of TI when they performed very well with all majors and then fell short on the actual The International, I think that was 2018 or 2019 CMIIW.
1645  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investing doesn't guarantee you to be rich on: May 11, 2023, 06:34:24 PM
I will like to say that investment doesn't guarantee one to get rich as you rightly claim but it is a sure way of getting richer. In addition to the point you raised is just to know the right timing to sell, hold and buy. If the law of investment is followed success is guaranteed.
It's because investing has always its risk but it's a way for someone to get out of poverty and become rich. Look at the billionaires that we know made by their investments. It's no guarantee that someone will be rich on it but let's just look at the footsteps of those rich folks now, thanks to their mind and investments. There are certain processes that one has to make and it's also a matter of choice on what you will be investing with. Wrong investments won't make you far but the right ones and that should be where starters should look for.

There are many ways to succeed and become rich in life, but investing is arguably our best path. Investing is good but by no means perfect or risk-free, and there is no such thing as success in this world without trade-offs.
If you do not choose to invest in getting rich but choose another path, such as starting a business or working at the top organizations in the world, you also need to sacrifice your youth, time, and effort to achieve. Investing, too, requires trade-offs and sometimes no trade-offs to succeed. In any field to be successful we need to have the right plan and strategy. In short, investing is just a means like other fields, success or wealth is up to us to decide.
There's always another way for one to become rich and you're right with that explanation that working on corporations and climbing to the ladder of progress and career path is one of it. But, as you've said, you have to sacrifice your youth on it because you'll take time until you reach that success in working in the corporate world or worse, you will not get there because of politics inside the company. But with our naked eyes, we can have the perfect example on how the wealthy became richer and most of them gone through investing.

Tomorrow, I'm thinking about betting on the Heat at +3.5 and the Warriors at -7. I plan to wager $50 on the Heat and $100 on the Warriors.
Good luck betting with the Warriors. This is like the most tough time for them as the Lakers need only one more win for them to proceed to the next bracket.
But it's also exciting to bet on such situation when the Warriors are going to be more determined and eager to win this match of them because if they won't play at their best and without a heart, they're eliminated.
No matter the outcome, it's hard to discount the Warriors' performance on their home court. They should be able to win here, but covering the spread is another story. OP seems very confident with the Warriors, as they have placed bigger bets compared to the first game, so let's see if the Warriors can really cover.

Based on their current ATS record of 29-16-1, the Warriors' chances of covering are quite high. Their home straight-up win record of 36-10 is also impressive.
And they won.
A great advantage as they take the home court advantage but not just that, they just mainly are stronger and played better for this fifth game. So congratulations to you stadus, you've won this match.

Nuggets +2.5 at 1.95. Both bets are $50 each.
Good luck on this bet and I think you're going to win this bet as there will be no CP3 for the Suns for tomorrow's match. This could be it for the Nuggets and could be the last game for Suns if ever they lose.
1647  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: My trading constitution. on: May 11, 2023, 10:30:56 AM
because it has to do with money. of course psychology here is very important so we have to be able to control our emotions during trading, if it fails it usually affects our decision to buy which coin in what conditions at the time, most people trade with emotion or greed leading to losses compared to people trading with focus even if they only do several trades a day.
Those traders that can't help themselves but get attached to their emotions are the ones that are losing more. Everything that you think about it that affects the results of your trades can really exist based on how you want it to be projected with your trades.
Yes, there's the psychological effect with those factors and points that we think of but then, it all combines with the emotions that we're putting on it. If you're too emotional and you're still new in trading, you're at greater risk of losing all that you've got.
But that doesn't stop there when you experience losses, only the losers quit but learners will keep on learning from those losses until they win.
1648  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Another side of Sports betting you may not know about on: May 10, 2023, 09:41:00 PM
This has long gone happened on the esports side. The integrity of some players has been wasted and gone when they've been caught betting particularly with their matches.
It's gonna cause them to either sell their game or not perform well because they've got a bet on their opponent's team for those matches. Until now, in some lower leagues and even some with close to the top tier online leagues, this does happen specifically on Dota 2. I know that there's no exemption on this one because we're aware that probably this is also being done in other sports. There's always been the dark side of gambling for these sports.

1651  Other / Off-topic / Re: Best 2FA applications to use. Open source, free, secure. Better than Google's on: May 10, 2023, 03:58:12 PM
I thought that it was just like Google Auth and Authy but then the other one that's popular I guess is Aegis. The rest, I have nothing to say because I have never used them.
We got that thought that it's best to stick to the ones that we've known and have been using for a long time and never had any problem experiencing it.
But then if it's concerning our data and information and some apps that we've been trusting is doing that for us. Note that most of the apps are doing that but then, it's good to see that we've got plenty of choices.
1652  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: May 09, 2023, 10:11:26 PM
Lakers definitely playing at another level since they made that trade. Lonnie has been around all season but even he got better and provided something this game, Warriors couldn't expect something like that, some random player suddenly making that much noise and points. I think this isn't 2016 and the series is already over, sure maybe Warriors may get one more win, I am not against that, it may go to 6th game and Lakers could win 4-2, but that is about it, I am not really seeing them getting a win out of this series, they are gone.

Lakers will be the winner and they will wait for their own opponents. I think they will play Nuggets by the looks of it, and that should not be that bad, I think Lakers may actually go head to head with Nuggets as well, could be very tough one, not easy for either team.
That's the value that some of the bench players should give when they're in crucial games like what we've seen. Props to Lonnie for having that blast of a game and he really did well on it and now, for the next games for sure, there will be more and added playing time for him. I agree that it's almost finished for the Lakers and they only need 1 game to win this series. Whilst for GSW, they need to win all of their remaining games straight, 4 games and that's hard knowing that they're against Lakers that have beaten them already.
1653  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why BTC Transactions Fees are Skyrocketing? on: May 09, 2023, 07:41:20 PM
You think bitcoin transactions are expensive, look into this

source
That's just to make everyone looking at the fees convenient. The comparison is off when we're talking about the fees for the transactions we do since it's just even 1 sat/byte and you'll get confirmed in a few minutes. When we've been used to these low fees then this comparison won't really matter at all and even it goes back to normal, these fees from other industries have been there for the longest time and they've used to it already just as we with the transaction fees for bitcoin.
1654  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What kind of rewards/bonuses do you prefer? on: May 09, 2023, 10:15:59 AM
All of those that you've mentioned are enough already and in favor of most gamblers that you've got. But I also do agree that if you've got a target like having more customers then you have to start those welcoming bonuses as that's encouraging people to come to you.
Especially if the offer of that welcoming bonus is decent. I haven't visited your casino but do you have a tier or level for your players, I think that's one good incentive or reward for acknowledging their loyalty.
1655  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Gala - what is your plan with the new token upgrade? on: May 09, 2023, 08:53:51 AM
I like them but I'm not willing to buy them right now thanks to the clogged network of Bitcoin since I've got also other altcoins can I use to convert it into gala but they're not that much.
So, I only got Bitcoin but that's not a wise idea for me to just convert it onto Gala since I've got no spare as of the moment and these alts that I've got as a reserve aren't also that much. If you know what I mean that my buying strategy is to buy on bulks into alts and not that little amount just as what we do in buying bitcoin, it's just different in my case.
1656  Economy / Gambling / Re: ✅ NowDice.com 🎲 Low House Edge 🎲 NO KYC! 💰 Jackpot 💰 on: May 08, 2023, 07:40:36 PM
Some interesting rules out there and the first one that I've noticed is you're valuing everyone's privacy and hopefully that you'll be intact with that and it won't change quickly that you'll later on ask for KYC eventually.

1. We have made changes to our fee structure. From now on, we will cover all transaction fees, eliminating the need for you to worry about any additional costs.
But this couldn't be done for free and it will be at your business cost. While as a start, this can be a good ruling that dicers will be enticed to come to you but this isn't just sustainable in the long run if the fees right now are a lot but these high fees won't stay for so long so, I wish you the best.

I've been enthusiastic that they'll be the ones to stop GG. Yes, they did win but just one time to them, and then the rest is history and another victory for GG.
You're right and you're feeling exactly was the outcome of this match and they did win the grand finals making this tournament another easy tournament for them since all of those past majors.
Who do you think can stop GG from the next tournaments? While, it's already announced that the next TI12 will be in Seattle, USA.

I also thought that Team Liquid will be able to win against GG, especially after pulling that pocket strat against 9Pandas in the Lower Bracket Finals. I thought they will have another pocket strat specifically tailored for the Gaimin Gladiator but GG is just too strong for Team Liquid right now. I guess with the game play that they have, GG will continue to be dominant this year.
GG is just unstoppable and they need to be stopped or should I say that they are unlikely to be stopped by whomever. But just another good news for Sumail, he's been taken as a loan by Team Aster as their mid lane until the TI12.
This is actually good for him that he's got a better team now, he'll not do good with Nigma Galaxy because they're just now a weak team and have been falling shortly and barely manages to get to the lan tournaments.

Where's the hype on this thread guys? Berlin Major is now in the grand finals. The two teams are:
  • Team Liquid
  • Gaimin Gladiators
With the history of these two teams, Team Liquid didn't beat them from the last major that they faced together and that was during the Lima majors.
For the first map, there's Pudge + Alche + DS for Team Liquid while for Gaimin Gladiators, they've got typical heroes and with a Terrorblade as carry.
Team Liquid looked a bit off this tournament and still they were able to make it to grand final. That being said Gaimin Gladiators looked good in all matched and I don't see a way for Liquid to win today. I took GG @1.6 after few minutes of the first map, don't know what were the odds before it started but I fell like realistic odds should have been something like 1.4.

Even South America is now a strong region. SEA is now the weakest.

1660  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I'm getting tired of the high fees for gwei on: May 07, 2023, 01:07:31 PM
@OP, check your coin if it's possible to be found in other networks and if it's being supported by multiple chains. Like Polygon and BSC, these two are currently not that much compared to ETH's gwei.
It's really terrible to see the fees go up because of those transactions that are being done and if you're in a hurry, you have to oblige and pay those crazy fees. But before anything else, you might as well do check if it's on other chain to save fees as I've said.
