1521  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 15, 2023, 10:20:56 AM
I am wondering why Vanvleet rejected the $22.8M player option contract and behind that, it's making everyone think that there are already some talks with other teams for his contract. And that's for sure when he's needed by some other teams that's trying to scout him out.

LeBron James: Mavericks
Hmmm, three superstars then if Kyrie will stay with them. I don't think that this is going to be effective, LeBron should give it on for the other young bloods to have their own fame and he'll just be there to support. IIRC, he wants to play with his son together so how long does he need to wait for that to happen?
1522  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin - how low will we go in 2023? on: June 15, 2023, 08:34:56 AM
I bought the other day and we have seen yet another crash since then it feels like there is so much bad news and FUD at the moment.

I feel like having a break as I am starting to feel we could go close to the lows of last year, not sure if we will go that low but could go close so thinking of waiting until we see at least another 10% drop to buy more.

How is everyone else feeling?
Still fine, got used to this, and won't let me panic. I'm long, no matter what the market will show for these drops, I am firm to myself that I'll hold no matter what happens.
If you're feeling that you need a break, you really need that so that mentally you'll be prepared for what's gonna happen soon. You may not take it for now if you're still new to the market.
So taking a break will help you and will make you decide and think better afterwards while looking at the plummet of the market.

I remember before the Covid-19 pandemic, there was a stat saying the number of DOTA players is declining and it probably continued in the last few years. Maybe some of us became busy with our careers and are having families now. I myself just like most of my DOTA friends since college aren't that active anymore as well. Although I am still tracking the happenings, especially TI and its majors. And until now it is one of my goals to attend a major or a TI.
That is true, many have become busy with their real-world lives and that's why a lot of people in our friend's lists are no longer active. That's a sad thing about playing Dota 2 but looking at events, they're keep going and tournaments after tournaments again and we're on the last few of it before the grandest Dota 2 event, TI.

This ongoing tournament is not a major which is why some are not interested. The prize pool though is twice as big as the majors so this should be an interesting one. And most top teams in the world are also the ones competing.
Also, many teams now have been eliminated from the Dream League Season 20 and most of those are gonna participate in the Bali major. But whoever gets first and second on this will get a direct invite to a bigger cash tournament, Riyadh Masters.
1524  Economy / Economics / Re: Money is never enough! on: June 14, 2023, 06:02:49 PM
If you'll rely on money and political power, it may be a success for some but not for all. Popularity is one of them but that's also not enough for some times. In politics, the game is too hard for those that are entering it for the first time. Some do become successful on their very first tries and there were those that have been there for a long time and try to re-elect themselves but find no success. It becomes machinery to those corrupt politicians that they will use the money for their campaigns but even those that have willing heart still needs it too.
the power of money is big enough to influence everything even most of the good and smart people will lose because of money in politics.
I myself do not believe in politicians so I will only vote for people who will benefit me in a short time because in my opinion all politicians are the same.
The influence of Popularity does exist but it can lose when compared to money.
And if there is popularity and that famous person has got money then that's a bigger chance to win elections. Honestly, I'd also do the same, I am voting for those people that I think will help me benefit and enjoy such things that are coming from the government. Most first-world countries have no problems with these benefits but we know the other side of the story for the other countries.

Sure, money and political power can open doors, but they're not guarantees of success in the political arena. It takes more than just deep pockets and influence to navigate the complex world of politics. Sometimes, even the most seasoned politicians struggle to win re-election, while newcomers face an uphill battle.
That's true, those that have got experience are also having difficulty in winning and the question is there and why? I guess that speaks what the people like and these days, many citizens are being open to what they're voting and everyone is becoming wiser and thinker on whom shall they vote.
1525  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to Improve Your Sports Betting Skills and Win More Bets? on: June 14, 2023, 03:53:14 PM
All of those points you've said are right, you have to be familiar with the sports that you're betting on. Avoid YOLO betting because that's not what you've planned to do. Many think that sports betting is easy but it's actually not, you'll see some results that are not according to what you're expecting based on the information that you've gathered through researching. So, if you can apply more and more factors and strategies for you to win more bets then do it.
1526  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are you planning to accumulate for 2025 on: June 14, 2023, 02:35:28 PM
AI yes it maybe finally get the crypto community attention, but for Metaverse I think its era has came to an end. Other than AI, I think Layer 2 blockchain is worth to watch, right before the bear market arrive Layer 2 blockchain was about to get some popularity.
The metaverse era IMO is already done. We've seen a lot of projects that have been popular for the past bull run and when the bear market came, many of them started to lie low.
This is what we get when the market goes into a bear market. Those that were in top shape will eventually be remodeled and then worst, will be forgotten by the market and its community.
It all lies with the value that it has got and when it's seen with almost nothing anymore, they're no longer good invest. AI could also be the same after the next bull run.
1527  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: If I have 1BTC So how did I use to invest in different Coins on: June 13, 2023, 10:09:50 AM
I usually Invest a very small amount of bitcoin to another coin because I know this time is very crucial to invest in any new coin or even in an old coin.
Don't spend your Bitcoin and better keep it. That is what I've been doing before the 2021 bull run and I've regretted it and that's the mistake that I'll never do.

Any suggestion from your side which is good for long term
You just keep Bitcoin and that's the best strategy. But if you think that you want to scatter 1 BTC to many different altcoins, I'd suggest the top ones like ETH. As much as I want to suggest other coins, if I were you, I'll keep the 1 BTC and wait until the next or next next bull runs.
1528  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Easy or hard to quit? on: June 13, 2023, 08:50:23 AM
Can you quit gambling if you make a life changing money and never go back to gambling?
Yeah, possible. But the trick there is you might think that you've won easy money so whether you're set for life, you may come back anytime as you wish and make that again. And for someone who's determined to quit, very possible.

I asked this because those who made some money through gambling near me always go back to gamble and they end up losing everything they once made through gambling.
This is normal because the mindset is there of winning it back, easily.

Is it fine to say that people should not go back into gambling once they made high amount of money? Because the chance of losing that money again is very high, even if they don't use all the money to gamble at once, gambling can take it all back in time.
Yes, there's no issue with that and that's why we're all free to do whatever we want. If we win big time then it's up to us if we'll look back and gamble again and lose the profit we've made or just keep it safe and never come back.

Have you ever won a high amount of money from gambling and managed to not lose them all back to gambling? And to date, you are still gambling?
Not so big but every time I do, I make sure that it won't be taken back by the house.  Grin

1530  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 13, 2023, 02:36:36 AM
First half down. So far the Heat are surviving. They’re shooting terribly though. They’re mostly being saved by the fact the Nuggets are shooting 1 for 15 from three point range in the first half.
4th quarter now and the Nuggets are in the lead. Looks like we're going to see the end of this finals in a few minutes from now on.

It seems like Miami is making a massive effort to win this game. If they can sustain their defense for another two quarters I think they might win. That’s a tall order though.
Sadly in the 3rd quarter, they didn't manage to maintain that defense. Although some good threes are being made by Lowry in contribution for that quarter still not enough to protect their lead. Watching the game, I am the one who's struggling on how the Heat can't pass over Jokic's defense under the ring.
1531  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ESports betting -CS:GO, DOTA 2, LOL, Valorant - Sportsbet.io discussion thread on: June 12, 2023, 10:17:57 AM
I think the matches later will be mostly one-sided so I picked the favorites to win.

Day 2 is in for the DreamLeague season 20 and I'm watching this match between Team Secret and PSG.LGD for their first map. Good luck with this bet. We've got Muerta as position 1 for the PSG.LGD, this is interesting.

Betting on the draws is tempting as most of the series in Group A of the DreamLeague have gone to a draw after the first day. Tongue

We'll probably see more teams split maps until the end since it's all about avoiding sweeps and getting at least the top 4 at the end of the first group stage.
I'd avoid mostly betting on the first day to 2nd day and after this group stage 1, we still got group stage 2 and I think the more serious one is on the group stage 2. But that's okay with these times, it's best to enjoy the games and bet on the side if you want to.
1532  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you guilty of promising not to gamble for specific days but back next day on: June 12, 2023, 08:25:02 AM
Many gamblers then become wiser in gambling, but some continue to gamble even though they have made a promise. It depends on him; somehow, he can forget what he said before, and that's normal.
That can't be avoided when it's like a normal thing for most of the gamblers that have dealt with promising to themselves that will stop after they gamble for the day.

Gambling addiction can be cured, but it depends on each person. And it also takes effort and strong intention to cure gambling addiction; if necessary, he can ask the people closest to him to help him to cure his gambling addiction.
It can be cured and there's hope for those that are addicted but it will take time on how they'll be able to overcome addiction. As someone who deals with gambling addiction, you can't help yourself alone but if you did then you deserve a round of applause.

The real optimism airdrop was already done and whilst it's a success for the project itself for its launching. The scammers never stop trying to hook off some victims that are still interested of the project's airdrop.

I see how enticing is that, it is somewhat huge that those who have greedy souls will certainly be joining.
That's actually their targets, those greedy people that are not doing their research and probably aren't aware that the airdrop was done. I've seen people that have already been a victim of these fake optimism airdrop even if they're aware that it's done, they just reasoned out that they just wanna try and what if it's true.
1534  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi nakamoto was there that is why BTC come to stay. on: June 11, 2023, 10:11:33 PM
It doesn't have to imitate what El Salvador just did. El Salvador's president and probably some of its high local authorities have come to understand what Bitcoin really is. That's why it should be made for most countries and people, to understand what Bitcoin is doing and what it is used for. Whether there is or there is no government intervention and adoption, Bitcoin is for people and people is for Bitcoin. That's why it's here to stay and it just keeps on growing over time.
1535  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 11, 2023, 07:38:21 PM
On NBA , what can I say more ? let Jokic win it man and let him go back to his horses because I really enjoy to see his videos regarding this topic.
Well, it's just going to be a matter of time and maybe by tomorrow, he's going to win it. If the Nuggets win the match in game 5 then this is all settled.

That man is a treasure outside the basketball game and a ring should be well deserved for him and for Denver as well.
And it won't be surprising if he's going to make another standard for most teams upon taking over a championship. That's like a tough standard but if teams see a prospect just like him, they'll get him for sure. Just like what we're seeing on the rumored top 1 pick this upcoming draft whom is Wenbanyama.

Meanwhile , we have DreamLeague on Dota 2 as well and Liquid are still trying to figure out this patch and it looks like Tundra will quick 2-0 them.
With a note that Tundra has got 2 stand-ins, they're doing pretty well on the first day.

For me , I would watch Secret games as I still believe they have a chance to get Last Chance qualifiers TI and maybe they will catch that last spot.
I've watched the match of theirs against Talon and it's just a tie and the last match that they've in was with TSM and it's also 1:1. This is still the day 1 and most teams are still experimenting, the games are on going right now.

Hype is completely on Shopify Rebelion as Miracle is standing on this team and man...Arteezy and Miracle on same team ? I cannot miss first game. Wink
First game, they've lost against GG and then they've won the 2nd game. Currently, I am watching their game 1 match against BetBoom.
1537  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: would you play more on casino when your country plans to ban BTC? on: June 10, 2023, 10:39:58 AM
while your country plans to ban crypto trading but online gambling legal, you'll gonna to decide what to do with coins.  would you go play your coins to accumulate or just withdraw and wait for the government to change stance?  no other option.
I'll withdraw and that's easy. We don't keep our coins on any centralized platforms whether it's an exchange or a crypto casino. And if there's no other option, that's the best thing to do because you can still sell it somewhere offshore so you'll get what you've accumulated.
You don't just stay in your country if they're too strict with the implementation of rules and regulations against bitcoin. So, whether you like it or not, that's the best option and that's just to withdraw and hold. If ever they change their stance that's good but at least you've got a game plan on what you'll do with your accumulated btc.
1538  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Giving out to promote Bitcoin on: June 10, 2023, 08:11:06 AM
Not only that, I think they will feel fulfilled because after learning about Bitcoin, they are now having it on their non-custodial wallet.  I believe that motivation of giving a reward have huge impact on the interest in Bitcoin of those students
That's true, and these students are still kids. When something was given to them for free, they will never forget that and there will be thought on their minds about what was given to them. And from there, they'll try to learn what's it, how to withdraw or convert it into cash if ever they need it. But just as the others thought, I also wish that they won't sell it too quickly and wait until they're able to know how to use it or at least save it even if it's just a little amount. The important factor here is the practice that they'll learn from doing it.
1539  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: how to get over it on: June 10, 2023, 06:04:37 AM
I’ve been chasing the $1,000,000 dream for years.
Based on your wins, you have got a half million wins and a hundred thousand in total for combined winnings. You're already there to your dream for years but it's just so happens that you're not a keeper of your wins. As you deal with failure, you failed yourself in keeping your money as you chase that million dream. You're so close yet too far because of being careless.
Considering his luck based on this post, there’s a big chance for him to reach a $1million mark, just continue being responsible in gambling and maybe, you can have it this year. Earning higher are more possible once you already gave good capital and in the case of OP, he can have more bets now because of the money he earned from gambling. Hopefully to see your proof once you already reached your goal, just keep working on that and don’t give up.
He can I think based on the volume of his wins but based on how he's losing control of himself, it may take time or might never. I wouldn't be too optimistic about his dream if he won't change his attitude towards being compulsive and losing his grip on his wins. The goal is to reach that amount so that whatever his winning amounts are, the important factor is how much he is taking from that win and how much he is saving. But note that for every big win that he make, we'll never know the background of it on how much he's losing before hitting good numbers.
1540  Economy / Economics / Re: To Hodl or Lend: What is your take? on: June 10, 2023, 04:47:56 AM
All are risky, the higher the return, the higher the risk. Holding takes a long time to make a profit, or you won't even make a profit if you hold the wrong coin. For lending, you may have problems like borrowers not paying or the lending platform crashing, as you mentioned. But if all goes well, you will profit monthly or even daily. Holding, lending or trading are all ways to profit in this market. Each of us has different options according to our needs.
It's much better to have confidence and peace of mind while holding your bitcoins. You'll have not to think of any borrowers who won't pay their loans to you. But you're right that we've got different options and take from these methods. I don't want headaches in lending so, it's best for me to avoid this method and just be content with holding and accumulation when the right time comes. Being patient pays off very well and everyone can speak for their own experiences just as how they've held.
