2081  Economy / Speculation / Re: My fear in fall of Bitcoin. on: February 03, 2023, 10:11:26 PM
Cause Bitcoin is determined by the number of people in the digital market.
This is just wrong. Bitcoin isn't determined by the number of people but it's determine by the demand that's coming from us, it may look the same as that but it's not entirely like that.

I am beginning to have a doubt that Bitcoin cannot go to a higher price just like the previous year.
It's okay, just like the many. We have thought that bitcoin might not even reach the ATH price in 2017 and that's why many have doubted it. And just as what you're thinking right now, that thought will be broken by bitcoin itself soon.
2082  Economy / Gambling / Re: What do you appreciate more Desktop or Phone on: February 03, 2023, 02:58:26 PM
I usually gamble on sports, so I prefer using my desktop because, at the same time, I enjoyed watching the game live. A better experience gives me better satisfaction for me especially if I win. Of course, sometimes I also use my phone if I'm away from my PC, like when I'm out of my house going somewhere for business transactions.
It's really preferable to watch live games on a PC set up but when I'm lazy as a potato, the same as you that I still watch on my phone but to gamble with it, nah I don't do it.
Can say that both are being used but at most times, when placing bets, I think many of us here are looking at the part that we're more comfortable doing it on a PC or laptop.
2083  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What makes a crypto project reliable and trustworthy ? on: February 03, 2023, 01:01:22 PM
Bitcoin is the King of cryptocurrency and most altcoins are way less qualified in terms of credibility, fanbase, high returns with minimal risks etc. I am trying my best to analyze altcoin projects but the results are not pleasant. What makes an altcoin really trustworthy ? And why ? Please let me know your opinions.
It plays to the point that the developers are trustworthy and it's just all about them first and then the project that they're working with. If those deliverables and proposals are achievable and factual.
And going to the project, one of the most important thing with it is about the use case. If no use case then that only means that the developers aren't serious with what they're working with because that's what a project's token should be. There has to be a use on it.
2084  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Nonito Donaire vs Jason Moloney on: February 02, 2023, 08:59:36 PM
This doesn't sound good. We're all expecting that Moloney will have no problem on this one. Who's going to be the potential match-up then if Moloney is already out for the match? Too much politics we've got nowadays even in the high ranking officials inside the big boxing organizations and promotions.

Yes many expect that fight because somehow this is good match up since it can determine on who among them is best fighter after they got defeated by Inoue. But since Moloney withdraw well this doesn't sounds very well on fans of Moloney and Donaire. For sure Donaire's camp will seek for replacement and well lets wait for the update about who will be their next target so hopefully they can get another good fight since fans expect more better from Donaire and his potential opponent.
Is Donaire's camp allowed to choose his opponent or it will be an order again from the WBO just like what they've commanded Moloney to fight against Donaire?
But I'm sure if it's going to be the pick of Donaire, they won't just pick an easy one but also a tough one to prove that he deserves the title and won't just make an easy way to get it.
2085  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hackers stole $3.8 billion from crypto investors (mainly through Defi) in 2022 on: February 02, 2023, 11:06:46 AM
In the past, there were too many hacks related to De-Fi and the trends that have become popular. As for the ETH's turn to POS, it will mainly be focused on where these ETH have been staked. As for its network, yeah, it's arguably lesser secure than PoW which has been said to be better in terms of security. The platform where you'll be staking your ETH will be responsible one of keeping its platform safe. This is the hardest part where you got to be more resourceful and be researchful before you entrust that ETH for staking unless you just want to keep it on your own.
2086  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: really no kyc crypto casino on: February 02, 2023, 09:48:22 AM
Well im planing to deposit decent amount of eth and make sports bets, but i really prefer no kyc casino/sports bet.
Most of casinos that i tried with clearly wriitwn NO KYC still asks for docs even for 0.0002btc withdrawal.
Does anyone know normal no kyc casino without bs?
What casino did that ask you for a KYC even if it's just a 0.0002 BTC withdrawal? That sounds crazy to think of. That's not normal if it's that small amount because a casino will ask you for a kyc if you've been withdrawing a lot and they've noticed it.

so far i tried vave.com , they are good,  but who knows what will happen if you withdraw more than 1k, maybe annoying kyc procedures will begin trough email.
Anyone tried cloudbet? or bitcoin.com games?
I am not familiar with vave and those that you've mentioned, cloudbet is known in the forum but with bitcoin.com games, many will discourage you to use it. Apart from those that you've mentioned, duelbits can be one of your choices but I don't guarantee that it won't ask you for KYC. Majority of the casinos will ask you kyc for certain reasons and one of it when you're quite big gambler.
2087  Economy / Economics / Re: Is taking a loan/debt addicted ? on: February 02, 2023, 07:53:47 AM
Tons of people fall into that debt spiral you described, OP.
I can attest to this but not for me but for the people that I know. It's true that it's a spiral trap and your debt will look like have no way of ending because you'll get used to it.
One perfect example is our neighbor. She's an old woman but kind but I've seen how tough her life is due to the situation that she's got, every day the lenders walk through and knocking her door because that's how she thinks about how to end her debts by borrowing again to cover and pay for the other one which is obviously not gonna help.
2088  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Nonito Donaire vs Jason Moloney on: February 01, 2023, 11:07:45 PM
He needs to lose again for him to realize that it's time to retire. However, as a fan, we are not hoping he will lose but we are just trying to say the reality since Donaire is not getting any younger. An aging boxer will need more time to recover from a major injury, hopefully, he won't suffer that in case he loses this fight.
That's okay, whether he losses or wins then he does have to do what he gotta do. He's still got that power and yeah, we're not hoping that he'll lose. Those fans of his want him to win and let's see if he can get to win on who's ever going to be his opponent.

Update:

Jason Moloney has withdraw from this fight, so this fight is cancelled.

Quote
“The WBC has received confirmation from Top Rank that [Moloney] will not be fighting for The WBC bantamweight title,” WBC president Mauricio Sulaiman confirmed to the teams for both boxers via official letter, a copy of which was obtained by BoxingScene.com. “With this letter the process of [Moloney] vs Donaire is hereby cancelled."

https://www.boxingscene.com/jason-moloney-top-rank-no-longer-pursue-wbc-title-nonito-donaire-awaits-next-named-opponent--172190

Too bad for Moloney to not have a chance for the belt because of the 'war' between his promoter Top Rank and Nonito's Probellum.

Because Bob Arum thinks that the company, Probellum has ties with Irish Mob boss Daniel Kinahan. So let's see what route Donaire will take in order to have another belt in his waist.
This doesn't sound good. We're all expecting that Moloney will have no problem on this one. Who's going to be the potential match-up then if Moloney is already out for the match? Too much politics we've got nowadays even in the high ranking officials inside the big boxing organizations and promotions.
2089  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best way to store BTC on: February 01, 2023, 07:49:15 PM
Aside from the desktop wallet (Electrum, Wasabi, Samourai). The other best options are hardware wallets and paper wallets. If you don't want to spend then you've got two choices, a paper wallet, and a desktop wallet. As for hardware wallets, you have to spend to buy the wallet, the device itself but treat it as an investment for the security of your asset, bitcoin. As for the choice, the two most common have already been mentioned:
  • Ledger
  • Trezor
If you happen to choose this option, you're the one that will generate the 12/24 recovery words. By any chance that the wallet is delivered to you and there's a preload seed or recovery words, don't use it as the seller will just retrieve any deposited balance there and that's the scam part where newbies are vulnerable to.
2090  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: February 01, 2023, 03:51:47 PM
Its been a while since i watch the replays with the Nigma and Secret and upon checking unexpectedly I thought Miracle- are still in the Nigma and just saw with their new draft which is Amar The F and its really good that they get this man we know his capabilities to win the game and I don't know in my side if the Secret gets weaker because they Remove Nisha in this match upon watching their game its seems like this not the secret we have watch before.
Yeah, ATF was the man that replaced Miracle. It's been so long that Miracle is out of action and we don't have any ideas if he's going to be back competitively. But if he decides to just retire, he's got already a lot of achievements and he's got enough money covered for that to start anything he want to outside the competitive life. As for Team Secret, fans will really look at that side because Nisha is certainly one of their assets before but it doesn't mean that Boom is weak.
2091  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Scammers are good at using the most hyped utility on: February 01, 2023, 10:56:01 AM
It is just to notice that scammers will also go along with the trend which I see it was easy for them to scam new investors.
That's very easy on them, they've been with the market for a long time and they follow the trend. So whatever is new to the market, they are also adopting it.
Whilst, the newbies they're targeting have no idea what's about to come to them. If ever they fall for their bait of using some hype terms and projects, they'll really be scammed and will buy a token that has no use at all, no utility or such. And that's like that they've just given the scammers money in exchange of a useless coin/token.
2092  Economy / Services / Re: Lost access to MY Google account paying 10k on: January 31, 2023, 09:19:35 PM
Only a Google representative can help you with this. You're just going to make it more complicated when you allow someone to try to access it for you because it will be likely that the system may take it as your account is wholly compromised and might get into tighter security for retrieval attempts.
Ask a Google rep, call them, and ask them if it's possible to retrieve it. I've done it before with a very old email of mine that I've never logged in to and forgotten for a long time. There's certainly a way for them to verify that you're the owner of it aside from those information that you've mentioned.
2093  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ESports betting -CS:GO, DOTA 2, LOL, Valorant - Sportsbet.io discussion thread on: January 31, 2023, 11:16:39 AM
Poor Blacklist, there were a lot of times that they can take the slot for the Lima majors, 2nd and 3rd slot but yet, they've got nothing. Poor team, too hyped by their fans but all they get is nothing. Yeah, they might be exhausted but that's the consequence of losing first with Geek and then being pressured with the slot that they should have taken. I thought that Talon wouldn't make it as the chance is more likely with Blacklist than them but yeah, points system and tie breakers.

Had the same thought too since Blacklist is performing very well early in this DPC round. Actually, I really thought they should have won against Geek and many time they had the opportunity to take the win but they did not. That is why I am thinking it is a throw. Anyway, they lost a chance for LIma Major and important DPC points. DPC points are very important and every bit of them matters if they want to be eligible for TI this year.

Talon did well. From a poor start to being able to qualify for Lima. Congrats to them for taking the 3rd spot for Lima Major.
I have high hopes for them but I don't think that's a throw. Those other two teams, Geek and Talon were just better than them yesterday. It's a big feeling of loss for the team for sure because they've anticipated that they'll take the slot and will take the best position for having those chances.
But, that's it, they have come to an end, and congratulations to both teams that have taken the last 2 slots for the SEA. Overall, 2 teams left for China.
2094  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Nonito Donaire vs Jason Moloney on: January 31, 2023, 10:03:45 AM
Yeah, I agree, we didn't hear anything from him regarding retiring, on the contrary, he says that he will go doen to 115 lbs to fight Estrada. But that idea was obviously scrapped when Inoue moves up.
It was just us, the fans who have been speculating about his retirement after the 2 consecutive losses that he's got with his attempt against Inoue.

So this is another chance for him, he might chase history again as we want to be the oldest bantamweight against Moloney if they all agree about making this fight this year.
They don't have to agree, it's an order from the organization so they should just start to sign and do the deal regardless of what they like. They may still disagree but we don't know the consequence for any of them whom will decline the match.
2095  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What altcoins do you think are currently still cheap but have good potential for on: January 31, 2023, 08:14:04 AM
I want to ask everyone, now the number of altcoins is increasing and the prices are various, do you know, in your opinion, what altcoins are still cheap now but have good potential for the future?
I want to hear an explanation from you?
As much as I want to say something that is on my mind, I guess I'll have to stick with those that are at the top. They may have already reached a point where everyone freaked out due to it getting to its peak. There's a likelihood that it may happen again but that's for these top altcoins in the market.
If there are those low-price altcoins with high supplies, it doesn't matter. What matters to them is the market that they're in and how will the demand will go.
2096  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ESports betting -CS:GO, DOTA 2, LOL, Valorant - Sportsbet.io discussion thread on: January 30, 2023, 07:53:42 PM
Blacklist just lost easily to Talon by 0-2. Those 3 games with Geek including two 70+ minutes games must be very exhausting for them. And it is difficult to easily move on from those games and refresh within 3 hours.

2097  Economy / Economics / Re: I have resolved into buying more and caring less on: January 30, 2023, 04:00:19 PM
Everyone has drawn their resolution for the year as regard Bitcoin investment and more. Bitcoin is bound to do what it wants to do. And no matter where the direction of the market has chosen to point to, i will just buy until when i feel it has gone too high to keep buying.

I am longer paying attention to all the noise that comes with short term investment anymore. It is better to be in red on a short term than to lose out on big opportunities on a long term. If the market is selling at a low price i will buy, If it is buying at an uptrend i will still buy. The only difference is i will try not to buy too high because in all the buying profit is the target. The goal is not to get rich but to catch up with the next trend and ATH.

The fact is on a long run the market will do what it wants to do and not even the best analysis can change it from making its desired moves. Bitcoin long term prediction is becoming even more harder to make as external forces keep playing out in the market more often. Staying positive for long term goal has given so many good profit in time past and it won't be out of place if similar occurrence happens again on the long run

What do you think!!!
You may say that the goal is not to get rich but you'll eventually get there if you're catching up with the trends and ATHs. Because you'll end up with a good result and more money to come and that's going to allow you to maximize the potential that you can ever had.
But what you're about to do is what others should do too and that's to be consistent in buying more no matter what the situation of the market is. And that's the motivation that everyone needed because everyone seems to be thinking again the same of how the pump makes bitcoin's price expensive for them.
2098  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Hit And Run Gambling - Can The House Be Beaten This way? on: January 29, 2023, 10:23:21 PM
How could the casino profit from you if you already won and left the scene?  No matter how we think of it, the casino has lost in this scenario.   Yes, Casino might have profited from the other players but the discussion is about a person who won and quite entirely.  So there is no chance that the casino can be of profit in the scenario given by @OP.

I do not know why people consider this action of gambling and quitting while on the profit, not a gambler's mindset.  It is a mindset of a gambler, but that isn't an ordinary mindset where a gambler keeps on playing after the win-loss experience.
It's true that when a gambler is on a winning streak, one should keep going forward until he starts to lose. But after reading the continuation of the story of OP, his friend was really new to it and doesn't have that type of mindset as a gambler.
And eventually, the friend got back and lost to the casino and that's the cycle that we know of when a gambler has won, he'll really go back again and expect to lose what he's got the casino back.

not many gamblers have that kind of disposition in gambling. most that we have encountered are continuously gambling even after huge winnings. well, that is good for the gambler if he finally decide to use his winnings to better options.
And someone who's on a winning streak will have more freedom and that's why keeping on is what we know of what will someone do.

and say that he might be going back in line but he didnt. Now people do keeps on speculating for his return. In regarding about the sites functionality then lots of people had already been

Thanks for the heads up.
I'm guessing that lightlord is the only person operating the site. If so, that's not a good sign for anyone interested in long-term investing in the bankroll, brings back bad memories of SafeDice, when one day admin just disappeared and never came back.
Another thing is that, AFAIK, generally these bankroll investments used to be profitable before but I guess they've also changed a lot even if the market is turning bullish lately.

But if there are no issues with withdrawals or hot wallets being refiled when needed, it can still be a good option just for playing.
This thread was a hot thing I think a year or two years ago because of the hot wallet issue and thing. But then, I started to see that it's no longer like from this time or is it because they've got lesser players so complaints have became less already. Otherwise, the operation is running smoothly.
2100  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it safe to acquire Bitcoin without having the basic knowledge? on: January 29, 2023, 03:06:49 PM
I was talking to a neighbour within the weekend and suddenly he grew so much passion in wanting to invest but now the problem is that his wanting me do this for him with excuses of not having the basic knowledge and I've told him to Google and do his own research about it.
Google isn't just enough for him and that's why he's asking you but that's the different asking that he shouldn't do. It should be basic questions that should be asked to you and not that you're going to be the one who's tasked to buy bitcoin for him.

I want to know if it's safe to buy Bitcoin without having the basic knowledge of it ?
Definitely not.
Investors should have knowledge first of what they're investing and that's the most important thing that person has to learn. He shouldn't entrust his money to anyone even if he knows you personally. Don't give yourself something to think of, do the talking and let him do the rest.
