2061  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ESports betting -CS:GO, DOTA 2, LOL, Valorant - Sportsbet.io discussion thread on: February 08, 2023, 07:12:22 PM
Overall, 2 teams left for China.

It is a tiebreaker again in CN DPC for the 4th slot in Lima Major. It is between Xtreme and Ehome.

But before that, it is a tie breaker between PSG.LGD and Aster for #1. This is an exciting game as we saw yesterday. The games between LGD and Aster yesterday keeps going back and forth. The lead keeps changing and it could have gone either way. Just a single mistake can cost a game between these two and they are playing almost a perfect DOTA. Better bet on over 2.5 maps on this game since it will be most likely to get a full series.

PSG.LGD once again reigns supreme in the Chinese region. After Faith_bian's retirement and XinQ not renewing the contract followed by Ame's decision to take a break, I thought this team will struggle to secure a place at the top 4 and it is time for Team Aster and Xtreme Gaming to rule the region.

I began to wonder if EHOME is unofficially becoming a second or farm team for PSG.LGD after taking planet and shiro. Earlier they also allowed XinQ and NothingToSay to play for PSG.LGD for more than 2 years and counting for the latter. I don't know if it is cool to allow teams to have another secondary teams just like Xtreme has YBB and Aster has Aster.Aries.
They've got young breeds and with NTS' role still remaining intact, they're going to Lima major. As for management having two teams, I think that policy of Valve is still the same.
If ever both teams qualifies to a major or to the International, only one team shall go with it. Speaking of PSG.LGD, they're not completely going there as their pos 3 have been rejected and got to face a visa issue so he'll be switched by a stand-in player, old eleven.
2062  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Should I keep my BNB or Sell it? on: February 08, 2023, 05:30:34 PM
Think in short that if there is still BNB used for transactions in the virtual world, I don't think it will change BNB to just disappear. There are a lot of things the team will do if that happens in the future.
And as long as Binance is there, it's unlikely that it shall be gone. Also, it has become another choice for many projects that are coming to the market.
Before it was Ethereum that they're picking to be the main network of their projects but now, they also have some other choice in the form of Binance and as well as other projects that do offer the same.

Another visa issue for a team, it's from PSG.LGD and that's their off laner. The Chinese name that I don't know how to read but let's just say his position, the pos 3 from the team.
Because of the visa issue, he will no longer attend the Lima major and then he'll be replaced with a stand-in and that's old eleven who is also a great off laner from their region.
That's unfortunate as they could receive a penalty if they somehow get a good placement and secure a bunch of DPC points at the end of the tournament.
Yeah, that's a 20% reduction for the accumulated DPC points that they have or will they have on Lima major. Another news folks with our favorite Team Secret.
And that is Resolut1on might be out of the team as he had hinted on the Twitch chat. I've just seen it somewhere and someone has shared it but cannot find some official news about it. But, we might see some news about it pop out within a day or two.
Too many changes are about to happen to Team Secret and that's for sure since they didn't have a good run with the start of the DPC season.
2064  Economy / Economics / Re: Open AI CEO says his tech is poised to "break capitalism" on: February 08, 2023, 03:47:40 AM
We're going there in automation and it's certainly inevitable that those manual jobs will be replaced by these bots/Ai anytime sooner than we think.
But to look the least with this innovation, I'm sure that this is part of the improvement of someone's productivity. Soon, we'll see people using these AI technologies to become more productive. I know that it's scary to look at the moment at what it can do and for sure that it will go deeper and further. Yet, we haven't seen the best help that it can do based on someone's task inside an organization. We've seen machineries replaced manual workers and soon AI will replace these processes but, I'm having that faith that it won't be completely remove everyone's potential opportunity to look at it.

That is too bad. The substitute is quite good, I am sure they will be fine in the tournament. It is just bad that they will lose some DPC points just because of visa issues. Hopefully, no other teams are affected by visa issues. It is a Major, I am sure fans want to see the teams battle it out in full power with their rosters intact.
Yeah, they'll be fine but again another player has exerted effort in the qualifiers and then managed to get the slot but would only end up with the visa issue. Valve should do something about this and help those qualifying teams and players to get ahead with the obstacle of dealing with this issue.

So someone from China got visa denied by Lima, that feels so weird though but I guess China's passport isnt as strong as their economy. Well he is a decent player that played for Xtreme Gaming but the current PSG.LGD is pretty good with their original roster though so taking someone out of the equation might affect their gameplay somehow.
I haven't read any accurate reason why his visa got rejected. But the sad thing with this is, this is becoming the battles of the players who are qualified in majors or minors if it's going to happen somewhere.

And does that mean that its rate will now start growing?
Possible if the demand surges and it's going to all lie down with that. An update for a project like this, if the interesting part is being made then you'll see if the investors are going to bite it.
I know that there are still a lot of investors for shiba and having such an update might keep on giving them hope that it will recover. And as we're approaching to the possible next bull run, nobody knows until we gotta see the pump after this news has been released.
2068  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Interesting Facts About Online Casinos on: February 06, 2023, 09:37:56 AM
FACT 5: Online gambling and gender
Online casino gamblers are predominantly male. It is considered that about 11% of those people who access the Internet actively use gambling websites. Annual statistics say that over 80% of the people in the online casinos are going to be male. Of course, this does incorporate all forms of Internet gambling, so betting is also included. Another interesting fact is that gamblers tend to be over the age of 30 years, and this serves them well because gambling problems are predominantly in the younger male gambler who is 7.5 times more likely to become addicted and have a financial crisis than their female counterparts.
I must add that this is dependent on the location. For example this research suggest that more than half of all active Swedish players are women
It is what we all know that gambling is dominated by men. But in terms of addiction, when a woman gets involved in gambling and becomes addicted to it then the worse is yet to come.
I've seen and heard stories about a gambler woman who became addicted and then has no money left to gamble. She did all crazy stuff and you know what I mean when a woman is involved, as in everything. That includes selling off everything she owns like her real estate properties, jewelry, and other investments, and yeah, also her physicality.
2069  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online Casinos Want you to Gamble Responsibly on: February 06, 2023, 07:29:22 AM
Another one is those people that borrow money to gamble. They are not responsible as they can't even gamble with what they have and want to do more with others' money as a result of their addiction and losing self-control.

In this case, we cannot blame the casinos for what happened to us because of our lack of self-control in gambling. The casino will argue that those who gamble have lost self-control even though the casino has informed them that everyone must be properly responsible while gambling and must treat gambling as entertainment.
The casinos have always been reminding and giving the option for each gambler to continue or not. We're all free to do and continue gambling if we want to and they've done their part of reminding everyone.

Dude, Daxak of HellRaisers helped the team to get qualified to the Lima major and then he'll be out for the Lima major and will be replaced by either ILTW or V tune. I don't know with these teams, why they're acting with the change of a player when they've been already qualified.
Too many players have experienced this shit even before, they helped their respective teams qualify for a major and then they'll be kicked out.
There's should be more than the policy that Valve should impose on this and must be on locked roster until the major finishes. A 20% reduction for the DPC points for the team isn't enough, there's should be a care for the mental health of the kicked players because they've got their contribution to the team's success during qualifiers.
2071  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A good way to start this journey? on: February 05, 2023, 11:10:36 PM
Tron did that before and it seemed that it was a successful marketing introduction for them in the market. But right now, they're only being considered as a good alternative for a protocol being mostly used for USDT.
The majority will say no, that partnership don't matter especially those that have seen it with other projects but eventually failed. But, if that's going to be one of your factors to decide in investing, it will depend on what type of partnership and where they're being partnered.
2072  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: bc.game closed my account without reason on: February 05, 2023, 10:05:28 PM
Two ideas I've got for this case.

1. Before you reset the password through email, wait for someone to verify that through their official support. Is the email domain that sent you that notice official from bc.game? Did you reach out first through their official link to verify if it's actually them?

2. If yes, why you haven't tried following the instruction first before the conclusion that they've closed your account? There's a reason why they've made your account have a reset and if that's the process then obey. But if not, then just ignore it because it could be a phishing link/email.
2073  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can anyone tell me what is the best way to gamble w/ BTC on online casinos? on: February 05, 2023, 09:11:09 PM
You gotta try each of them for you to see the best and the worst for each of them based on everyone's perspective. But both have to be added with a grain of salt.
There are unknown casinos that have been praised by unknown people and out of nowhere they've been said that they're the best. It happens every time we see a new casino popping out and there have been responses that they're one of the best even if they've been just launched and I guess you get the thought with those scenarios.
2074  Economy / Speculation / Re: what now ? on: February 05, 2023, 08:08:03 PM
It wasn't able to stay at $24k for that long and now steps back to $22,900. And, that's totally okay as we have to see these reversals which mostly happen after the pump happens.
There's always the pull back that we should expect when we see some surprising pumps just like what happened for the past week. But this time, if this pull back continues up to below $20k then that's a different story.
2075  Economy / Economics / Re: Monthly or weekly pay? Fixed or percentage earning? what is your prefrence. on: February 04, 2023, 01:21:47 PM
The majority of us want stability and that's why a fixed income will be the majority's choice. Especially today where layoffs have been happening, it's hard to find a secured and stable job. That's why those that have been employed still with their employer and they're good and taking to their employees, you all should be grateful because it's rare to find a company these days that are too thoughtful for their companies and don't treat them just only as live money making machines.
2076  Economy / Gambling / Re: What do you appreciate more Desktop or Phone on: February 04, 2023, 11:54:50 AM
I don't make sports bets because I don't know much about sports, what I like the most is to make bets when Messi and Cristiano play, and when they were playing in Spain my two teams are the ones they played for, I watch them because they are the most famous, but if you ask me now I don't know how to do or bet on sports, but since the issue consists of using a telephone or a computer, it will always be more reliable to use a computer, the telephone may be very advanced but I trust more in what is known And it's safe, for a game where I don't risk or endanger my money, maybe it wouldn't be so bad to play from my phone, but with real money and absatnte I prefer it safe.
Well, Messi and Cristiano are big figures in their very own sport so if you say that you don't know much about sports and you don't bet on them. The actuality is you do but with exceptions and that is only happening when Messi and Cristiano's teams are going to play.
Also, in today's time when you say telephone, what we'll think and imagine are those with keypads and those that don't have access to the web. Those old telephones that we have to dial with big keypads or rolling numbers.

Yup, comfort and together with enjoyment while watching the game in front of much bigger and wider screens, though the point is also valid if you are a heavy gamer where you can both use CP and PC most gamers can interchange both usages, they are flexible in terms of gambling, whatever is the available device they will find ways to make it useful with how they needed the services for their gambling sessions.
True that mostly, those that are actively monitoring their bets are using both devices.
2077  Economy / Economics / Re: I don't see this changing anytime soon on: February 04, 2023, 03:59:32 AM
Am I evil for wanting to see CEX go or at least become less important?
Nope, you are entitled to your opinion. We all have good and bad thoughts until we realize what is as is. These exchanges are also the same as the market, they're also volatile in nature and with what I mean. Look at the early popular exchanges such as CEX and Bittrex. They've been flying at their industry before but look where they are right now. I think all of these establishments are just learning from each other and with what the market demands. We say see more of them dominate the market soon but there will be at some point of time that they'll be at their lowest and if they survive, that will be the test of time for their business to thrive.

Another thing is that, AFAIK, generally these bankroll investments used to be profitable before but I guess they've also changed a lot even if the market is turning bullish lately.

Yup, they used to be a big thing, but nowadays I'm only aware of 2 sites that allow BTC investments in the bankroll.
Strangely enough, them being less "popular" as investments, can make them more profitable. It's all about the wagered-to-bankroll ratio after all.

I suspect stats for BitVest presented here: https://dicesites.com/bitvest may not be accurate, but if they are, it looks pretty interesting:

I'm too lazy to manually calculate the daily/monthly wagered average, but assuming it's about 7btc/day, HE is 1% and the total bankroll (per dicesites) is 78btc - this gives:
(BTC7*0.01*365)/365=32.8% expected annual yield. And that's in bitcoin, which is likely to appreciate in value on its own in the near future.

Of course this is overly optimistic, as low HE sites often have a hard time to achieve profits at expected levels + this doesn't account for investment margins. But still hard to ignore.

So it mostly boils down to how trustworthy and reliable the owner is. Sadly, such sites tend to be one-man bands, so if something happens to that person, it all falls down.

ps. is anyone invested here and cares to share what are the real returns?

True, that it may not really be accurate if pertains to the stats as it changes at most times. I'm not invested in their bankroll but if you wanna go and continue I think you can just observe more and just go to their chat and ask people there as it seems that there's still quite a number that you can talk with. However, probably most of them aren't bankroll investors but you can still try though.

This thread was a hot thing I think a year or two years ago because of the hot wallet issue and thing. But then, I started to see that it's no longer like from this time or is it because they've got lesser players so complaints have became less already. Otherwise, the operation is running smoothly.

Their inactivity plus lacking of marketing affects their casinos performance so maybe this is the reason why the number of gamblers keep declining to them. This is supposed to be the old and cool casino before but now it seems their fame has been fading out and they have been near of their downfall, if they could just return their promotions or the marketing like reviving back their long time running sig campaign maybe they can get back their exposure to this forum.
As for their marketing, the campaigns that they've done before were effective and made them popular. The inactivity on the forum by the owner might have some impact but we don't know the reasons behind it. As long as there's someone that operates it and likely from the forum as well but no longer active too, just wishing all of the players here and there to not experience such problems.
2079  Economy / Speculation / Re: My fear in fall of Bitcoin. on: February 03, 2023, 10:11:26 PM
Cause Bitcoin is determined by the number of people in the digital market.
This is just wrong. Bitcoin isn't determined by the number of people but it's determine by the demand that's coming from us, it may look the same as that but it's not entirely like that.

I am beginning to have a doubt that Bitcoin cannot go to a higher price just like the previous year.
It's okay, just like the many. We have thought that bitcoin might not even reach the ATH price in 2017 and that's why many have doubted it. And just as what you're thinking right now, that thought will be broken by bitcoin itself soon.
2080  Economy / Gambling / Re: What do you appreciate more Desktop or Phone on: February 03, 2023, 02:58:26 PM
I usually gamble on sports, so I prefer using my desktop because, at the same time, I enjoyed watching the game live. A better experience gives me better satisfaction for me especially if I win. Of course, sometimes I also use my phone if I'm away from my PC, like when I'm out of my house going somewhere for business transactions.
It's really preferable to watch live games on a PC set up but when I'm lazy as a potato, the same as you that I still watch on my phone but to gamble with it, nah I don't do it.
Can say that both are being used but at most times, when placing bets, I think many of us here are looking at the part that we're more comfortable doing it on a PC or laptop.
