i have this rig with 2x r9 390 and 1x r9 390x

using gpu-z monitoring (sensors tab), i OC all the cards 1120 clock and 1600 ram ...

looking at sensors tab only one card is at 1120 clock the rest are ~ 930 clock (i'm not sure which card is 390x coz gpuz labels them all 390)

therefore only one GPU is OC'ed...

all ram are at 1600mhz

graphics card tab at gpu-z shows uniform 1120 clock for all cards...sensors do not

any tips?

my 280x rig is uniform, all clocks matched.

edit: these issue occurs only in dual mining mode, mining in ETH only (-mode 1) shows uniform clocks in sensors tab of GPU-Z.

claymore..any suggestions?

hangs at * using Jannson 2.7

Then does a bunch of weird stuff and everything crawls, any way to lessen intensity? Thought I had set it lower but still no change

8 is the minimum Intensity.

Like Jacques21 said i would try this 1st  sgminer.exe  --kernel hmq1725 -o stratum+tcp://esp.suprnova.cc:3451 -u username.worker -p x
If it works then you can try some arguments

I've tried various intensities, but all to the same effect.  Running a GTX750.  Any other ideas?

same issue here. 280x

removed other arguments.. removing -u and -p the miner automatically closes....when you add the -u and -p credential. it hangs.

i'm gonna try 1gb and 2gb sometime with this miner..

used 1gb ~5$ and used 2gb ~10$ running old socket 775, everything is cheaper ...except the GPU's

you can have 3x to 4x more GPU mining system (GPU not included yet) with old, used parts compared to new ones.

No DAG files.

What does it mean?

It means the DAG isn't being created as a file on your HDD anymore.  Instead, it's being created by GPU, and stored in memory directly.  There's a post not long after he released the version which made that change, where he explains exactly that. Cheesy

this can make you mine even with 1GB system ram now?

No.  dag is the secret sauce ethereum runs on. It grows a little bigger from time to time. Claymore moved it off computer storage and directly into the GPU- we all still have it but now it creates faster when needed and doesnt take up space in your hdd or ssd. 1gb graphic cards still cant run because they are still using the same dag, just generated directly to them instead of read from the pc somewhere.

It is not the GPU memory I'm referring to..it is the system memory..

in windows 64bit, before claymore made this miner..you can't mine with 1gb or 2gb system ram.

Well then no, this change has absolutely nothing to do with system memory and will not affect the ability to mine.  To be honest, I'm not sure how you're running any flavor of Windows with 1gb system RAM.  And x64 to boot....x64 architecture won't do anything for you until you have > 4gb system RAM.

i'm always mining with 1gb and 2gb system ram..mined eth with 3gb (2gb wasn't enough) and then comes the time when 3gb wasn't enough, currently mining with 4gb now (before using claymore miner).. --> using ethminer

i've read somewhere that there is a copy of DAG in HDD and in the system ram too (with ethminer)..i was thinking with DAG inside the GPU memory now maybe it does not require a copy in the system ram anymore..

i have a pc mining decred on win 64, 1gb system ram.

So I finally added the last 2 GPUs to my mining rig.  Before, I had 4 cards hooked up and everything hashed as expected, but with some "mildly" frequent disconnects from pools (especially suprnova), according to the software.

Last night I added the last 2 390x's, and everything booted and all cards were recognized just fine.  However, once I start the miner, TeamViewer would almost immediately disconnect and I would have a very hard time reconnecting.  The miner reported eth hashrate as expected (~160 mh), but my pool (coinotron) reports only 2-5 mh, which is a fraction of what it should be.  I tried running Genoi's latest release, but the CPU usage jumped to 99% once the mining started, and after a couple minutes I saw TeamViewer disconnecting as well as display driver crashes, so quickly scrapped that strategy.

I'm not really sure what might be the issue, but it seems maybe the wireless adapter I have installed isn't doing what it needs to.  Any advice as to what might be the issue?  For completeness sake:

4gb RAM
Celeron CPU
2x 1k watt PSU
4x 390x
2x 280x
Windows 10

Thanks!

I had a similar issue previously, until I installed a "headless HDMI or DVI adapter" - after that my TeamViewer or VNC connects as per normal as if the remote irg is attached to a PC monitor.

Well, whenever I first start the rig up, I have a monitor plugged into the first GPU, and I still see the same behavior.  TeamViewer only disconnects or somehow seems less stable when I fire up a miner....

Ok, so I'm quite sure my first problem is the wireless adapter I'm using.  Plugged in using an ethernet cable, I get steady connection and have no problems also connecting TeamViewer.  Unfortunately, the spot I want my rig is nowhere near where my modem/router is, so I need to find a dependable wireless solution.  Any suggestions?

2nd problem: Once I wired in to my network, I noticed that after a few minutes of running all 6 cards, a couple of them would reach 94+ temps.  At which point, display driver would fail, and the 3 GPUs I had plugged into my 2nd PSU would turn off (sometimes the others would stay, sometimes the entire rig would just shut down).  So, I guess I need to buy a Kill-A-Watt or similar to monitor voltages from each PSU.

Given I have 2x 280x and 4x 390x, does anyone have a recommendation for how to configure them?  I mean, how many cards into the primary PSU, and how many in secondary PSU (I'm using Add2PSU to connect the 2x 1000 watt PSUs).

Thanks for any feedback!

I will us 2X280x+1X390 in the main, and 3X390 in the secondary. By doing that, you might have 800W in each PSU.

you will be needing another psu.

for me..

2x 390x per 1000w PSU, your 2x 280x can be powered by a 750w..

i don't own a 1000w PSU..I only have a 850w PSU and the biggest load it is powering right now is an overclocked 390 and 390x..

if you are experimenting and depending on your PSU (quality and performance), I've read that coolermaster v1000 made by seasonic has an allowance to its peak (up to 1100w) and can power 3x 280x.. you can try 1x 280x, 2x 390x per 1000w PSU

regarding the heat, spacing and electric fan is the key, blow the heat away from the gpu's

I have 2x r9 280x and 2x r9 380 on primary: 1000watt and second: 650 watt
I cant run my third 280x. How much am i missing by?

you are saying 650w psu can't run a 280x?..I have a 600w psu and it can power a 280x

check your psu 12v rail, some models have two 12v rails use them both by using a molex or sata adaptor and PCIE to power your GPU

When SoloETH/PoolDCR version will be released ?

In 5-7 days, I'm working on it right now. Also monitoring and stratum proxy will be available.
PM me if your patience is over Smiley I will have unfinished working version very soon.

great..

how about decred solo mining too?

i will gladly pay claymore fee over pool fee  Cool

Still getting server problems on 4.1 please help. Was posted a few pages back but still no response to my problem and this keeps on happening. Any ideas to fix and resolve Claymore??

ETH: Stratum - socket send failed 10053, disconnect

Change pool or check your ISP, I don't have other ideas why TCP connection is broken.

Pools are fine and on v 3.xx works fine no problems. From v4 and v4.1 etc I get this problem. So I do not understand, ISP is fine, pool is fine as I do not get the problem in previous versions. I want to use current version as I see some improvement in speed however disconnections and socket fail is not good.

firewall.. maybe?

Have all ports forwarded and also decided to disabled for 24 hours and still get socket send failed. So not sure what is going on if you have not changed anything in it.

i've upgraded from 3.2 to 4.1 yesterday.. no issues.

any application control that blocks/prompt/allow outbound-inbound connections? (kinda like firewall)..

Nothing of its kind. Just seems Windows 8.1 and v 4.1 system does not like it. I am trying a new pool out and will monitor it but I do not see how going from versions 3xx to 4 I get socket problems is a wired one for sure.

v4.1 got "epools.txt" and "dpools.txt" now

Indeed, great to see DASH (ticker symbol: DSH) on BTC-E and not some random idiotic shitcoin added there, while trading with increasingly high volume.

Also nice to own the "Dashcoin" (whatever that was) github and the entire legal rights and trademarks to the name.

BTC-E clearly made a great choice by adding DASH (DSH) invented by Evan Duffield, the first cryptocurrency in the world with paid full nodes, unbroken anonymity through erasable transaction history, decentralized governance, unbroken anonymity through erasable transaction history, effective blockchain-funding, unbroken anonymity through erasable transaction history and I think I forgot: unbroken anonymity through erasable transaction history.

Sure happy to be trading DASH (DSH) on BTC-E now!

you own what?  Grin

yeah right.. keep owning your shit that comes out of your mouth.

DSH is Dashcoin

I know it pains you DASH shills that DSH Dashcoin is here to stay haha.
2477  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why the darkcoin/dash instamine matters on: May 01, 2016, 12:00:00 AM
No, you have a problem with misreading, what I said was that your accusation is that TPTB_need_war is a sham, but you're incorrectly using the word scam as a stand-in.

Also, as far as breaking anonymity is concerned, this is a fallacy that I somewhat covered in this thread in #2:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1430839.0

BTW, Shadowcash was brazenly using this "prove it" argument until they weren't Wink

And he can't even call me a sham, until he refutes my technical arguments, which the Dashtards gave up because they realized they couldn't.

And the "prove it" is scam methodology, when the masternodes are ostensibly (and mathematically obviously) monopolized by the instamine insiders  who have been receiving up to 50% per annum ROI on staking their instamined coins, and even the argument that they sold into the bubble as refuted by myself with basic market theory that says the majority buy the top and the insiders control the float so they have the information to know when to sell the top and buy the bottom because they control this.

We've refuted everything they say dozens and dozens of times. They just want to waste more of my time so I would be distracted from my coding. I must ignore them now.

you should be ignoring them after proving your point..

this ceti guy even called me Icebreaker lol...they'll just wear you down  Wink

And btw there is no "first taker of X letters ticker has exclusive rights forever" rule in crypto imo.

There is no exclusive rights forever rule for anything anywhere, but there are issues with trademark law, which does recognize that the first and continuous user of a distinctive mark (whether registered or not) has enforceable rights. Now btc-e is basically a rogue exchange that operates on the gray web and does whatever the hell it wants, so I expect nothing different.

But if another exchange -- say one that is going out of its way to try to be legally-compliant -- wants to pick up Dash, they will probably want to avoid behaving in a similarly rogue manner.

lol, we own the trademarks. weak FUD smooth.
plus we own the original dashcoin git.

Official Statement On Rebranding To Dash:
"Months ago the community organically came up with the name “Dash” as a possible rebranding idea of Darkcoin, I took notice of this and the good deal of support it had in the forums. This lead to us researching the Dash brand for a few months. In the process of doing some investigation, we found that there was another company in the financial space that was filing a trademark. This resulted in me buying another coin “Dashcoin” and challenging their trademark application."
"we were in control of the Dashcoin project. Acquiring Dashcoin is no different than getting a previously existing domain name, the acquired project itself will not continue only the DRK project will move forward under a new name."

I can see smooth and his crooked friends going off now to pump a few BTC into dashcoin just to come back here to say you are wrong.

Such is the hatred of DASH that runs through the veins of smooth and his master risto.

Hell, they bought up all the dashcoins they could, either because they were hoping that people would buy it in confusion or just to have a new "issue" with Dash.  Seriously, how lame can they get?  The sooner the coin is delisted on every exchange the better. I hate seeing people make mistakes, and as a newb in this space, it's so confusing, I believe some people have actually bought dashcoin thinking it was DASH.  Perhaps we should sue them for using the name (they no longer own it, having had it sold to us, and we have a trademark now, which they are violating).

(I know, it's totally not worth it, not worth it to sneeze on these guys, but the principle of it stands)

the hypocrisy! confusion? you are the one copying our coins name, now DSH ticker? haha

It is a fair question, development of "Dashcoin" will stay frozen and the Github will be locked. The original developer decided not to continue with that project and our focus is DASH. You are all welcome to join the DASH community if you wish to, it is a really promising project.
